We’ve decided to order a microscope to keep a closer eye on the trichome development. 🇺🇸Grow Journal🇺🇸 – Mother Gorilla – Vegetative Stage – Week 4 The plant has recovered from last week’s defoliation, although I have noticed a slight decrease in its vigor. I believe this is normal, but it’s still progressing and growing. Environmental Conditions • Humidity: 70% • Temperature: ~78.8°F • pH Level: Still between 5.8 and 6.2; it had slightly increased, so I adjusted it back down to 5.8 • VPD: Still between 0.4 and 0.8, which is fine Most of the heavy work was done last week, so this week has been more about maintaining progress. I’m continuing to train the plant using the SCROG method, carefully tucking branches underneath the net whenever possible. I also did a light defoliation to maximize light penetration for the new developing branches that are forming new growth sites. I’m still waiting for my new nutrients, which should arrive this week. That means I’ll finally be able to switch to a proper nutrient solution. So far, I’ve only been using Formulex, which has worked fine, but I believe it’s now time to transition to proper vegetative nutrients. Regarding the roots, they still seem to be developing well (secondary rootlets). For now, everything is going smoothly. The plant has recovered from defoliation and, most importantly, from topping. I will continue training it carefully, and we’ll see how it evolves over the coming week. Looking forward to next week—we’ll keep a close eye on the progress. See you next week! Nutrient burn seems to have tapered off and haven't noticed any spreading. Going to try adding an additional watering to the schedule to see what happens. I'm hesitant to mix stronger nutrients due to nutrient burn I started to see earlier this week. At the same time, need to figure out the cause of the nutrient deficiencies. I'm currently using the Light Feeding Schedule from Mills Nutrients (says "light", but is still 2.06 EC including 0.54 EC for water + CalMag) Need to switch to flower soon but need to figure out deficiency issues before the switch. Defoliation: * Removed quite a bit of fan leaves suffocating nodes. Girls are 10lbs lighter. Despite the nutrient issues, the girls have been filling out fast. Did a timelapse over the past couple days and can see significant growth in a short period. she is starting to flower she has firs signs so i am starting an experiment. cutting off all the fan leaves she has lets see how will she respond wish me luck <3
