📋 Grow Diaries: Week 2 of Flowering – The Northern Lights Auto Sisters The Northern Lights Autoflower sisters, Charlotte and Makayla, have confidently stepped into Week 2 of true flowering. The initial transition phase is settling, and both girls are busy stacking up distinct pre-flower clusters on the deck. Because these are autoflowers tracking on a fixed schedule, this week clearly illustrates how a complete divergence in training strategies can entirely alter the plant's architecture and budding profile. 🎀 A Study in Contrast: Natural vs. Pinned Down While sharing the exact same indica-dominant genetic backbone, the structural contrast between the two sisters is night and day right now: Charlotte (The Natural Tree): Training: Left completely alone to do her own thing, Charlotte has been allowed to grow naturally. Structure & Flowering:** She is exhibiting a textbook, upright Christmas tree shape with a strong apical dominance. Her primary central cola towers over the rest of the plant, heavily stacking clusters of white pistils along a single vertical pillar. Her side branches gracefully skirt the main trunk, catching excellent sun from her upright stance. Makayla (The Pinned-Down Canopy): Training: Placed under intensive low-stress training, Makayla has been meticulously pinned down closer to the soil. Structure & Flowering: By forcing her main stem down horizontally, her natural apical dominance was broken. As a result, her side branches have been thrown into the spotlight, rising up to create a much flatter, bushed-out tabletop canopy. She sits significantly lower to the pot than her sister but features multiple evenly distributed budding tops across her wider footprint. The Mid-Bloom Menu: Dialing in FOOP Organic Bloom To fuel this rapid flower production without stalling their internal clocks, the girls have been transitioned onto a premium organic bloom regimen: FOOP Bloom 1 & Bloom 2: This core base duo is delivering a highly bioavailable punch of organic phosphorus, potassium, and fish-based micronutrients to accelerate calyx stacking and strengthen stem development. Week 4 – Vegetation | Cuts & Mothers Selections are made. 4x Star Pebbles × Orange Zkittlez, 1x Rainbow Zoap (LIT Farms), and 1x Blue Zlime earned their spot in the next run and went into 10L pots today. One cut from each remaining line gets promoted to new mother status, carrying the genetics forward. Sitting at 20cm, lamp distance 110cm, light schedule 20h. Feeding CANNA Aqua Vega at 1 ml/l, Canna CalMag Agent at 0.8 ml/l, and Aptus Regulator at 0.1 ml/l. pH locked at 6.2, EC at 1.5 mS/cm. Temps holding at 26°C day, 23°C night, humidity at 60%. Smell is just starting to show — weak for now, but it's there. Next run stays in the tent for another four weeks before moving into the flower environment, with multiple topping sessions along the way to shape the structure early. 6/18/22 By now I’m sure all of you following along are sick and tired of reading about how large of a plant she is, but DAMN she’s big! She takes up more space by herself than the other 5 plants in the tent with her. She is moving along nicely up the feed chart, and is now on the mid-bloom step 5 stage. Step 5 is the same as steps 3 & 4, so really nothing new to report. She took a whole gallon of water mixed with the following: CALiMAGic - 2 ml FloraMicro - 4.7 ml FloraGro - 3.8 ml FloraBloom - 8.5 ml Floralicious Plus - 2 ml Liquid KoolBloom - 2 ml The pH was 6.2, and was not adjusted. The runoff was excellent, and its pH was also 6.2. 🤷‍♂️ The tent temperature was 86.9F, and humidity was 40%. I skipped feeding her yesterday because I was tired and not in the mood. Today she looked dry and somewhat flat before I fed her which is normal if I skip a day. However, she’s usually quick to come back to her normal chipper self after getting fed. It looks like I’m going to have to bend a couple more branches in the coming days ahead, but I’ll deal with all of that later. I’ll be so glad when she’s done growing! Happy growing everyone! 6/20/22 Skipped another day of feeding, but she didn’t get all limp as she has in the past. I finally just sat down inside the tent today after removing all of the other plants and did some serious defoliation. In addition to defoliating her, I also cut off a bunch of smaller branches that didn’t look like they were going to produce much. I figure it’s better to cut the shrubs off, so that the actual nodes get all the nutrients in order to produce some fat ass buds! My previous DarkStar cultivar I grew had some seriously large and dense nuggets, so I’m hoping for the same from her. She took another gallon of water today mixed with the same nutrients as the 18th, so I won’t list them again here. The initial pH was 6.3, and I didn’t adjust it. She had plenty of runoff, and the runoff pH was 6.2. The tent was 84.2F, and the humidity was 52%. Stella was practically naked when I finished with her today, and I’m looking forward to seeing how she looks tomorrow. I’ve cleared out all the clutter, and I was also able to raise the light up a few more inches today using some other bands to connect it to the top of the tents frame. She is about 10 inches below the light now, but she still has a couple long branches that are within 6 inches of the light. It’s still better than it was earlier today when some of the buds were above the light. My grow room is doing great right now, and I hope all of yours are as well. Happy growing everyone! 6/23/22 I’ve been a neglectful grower as of late! I was busy outside the house yesterday, and didn’t have time to feed my girls. They all looked okay today, except Stella. I defoliated her to the extreme the other day, so she looks dryer than usual. However, she is a wonderfully strong cultivar which can withstand a lot of issues; such as high heat, as well as long periods without water. But she does have her limits to which I don’t want to find out. She took a whole gallon today with plenty of runoff. She received the following nutrients: CALiMAGic - 2 ml FloraMicro - 4.7 ml FloraGro - 3.8 ml FloraBloom - 8.5 ml Floralicious Plus - 2ml Liquid KoolBloom - 2 ml The initial pH was 6.3, and was not adjusted. Her runoff pH was 6.2, which is excellent! The tent temperature was 85F, with 51% humidity. Stella is mainly bud nodes at this point, and all of them are just starting to fatten up. I love this part of the grow! Watching something turn from nothing, to something amazing is awesome! La semana 7 fue la penúltima antes de la floración. Una vez que termine la semana 8, el 11 de agosto, comenzaré con el horario de floración. También empezaré a usar los nutrientes de Advanced Nutrients específicos para esta etapa. Las plantas no han mostrado signos de estrés y han empezado a absorber mucha más agua. Por eso, en el próximo riego les aplicaré alrededor de 5 a 6 litros, ya que la demanda de agua ha aumentado considerablemente y las macetas se están secando rápido. Week 7 was the penultimate week before flowering. Once week 8 is completed, on August 11th, I will start the flowering schedule. I will also begin using Advanced Nutrients formulations designed for this stage. The plants have not shown any signs of stress and have started taking up much more water. Therefore, in the next watering, I plan to give them around 5 to 6 liters, since their water demand has increased significantly and the pots are drying out quickly.

Esta semana fue solamente de flush 🚿 en esta ocasión decidí usar florakleen para ver con cual obtengo mejor resultado si con este o con flawless finish, lo hice así, primero hice un lavado con pura agua con ph de 6.2 lo hice desde el ultimo día de la semana anterior, fue lavado doble, uno en cuanto se encendio la luz y otro justo antes de apagarse, luego empezando esta semana regué dos dias usando el florakleen y ph de 6.2, el tercer día no regué y al final de ese día le di corte ✂️ y la colgué, actualmente ya la tengo curando, la tuve 10 días secándose con una humedad de entre 50 y 60% para un secado lento.

Week 5 started with low humidity and we placed an old humidifier inside the tent which it did increase the humidity lvls but we already have regret it as some leaves that came in contact with the hot vapor injected in the air got rotted. In week 4 one of the 3 Green gelato had popped a couple of white/green pistils but they passed mostly unnoticed. Now we are certain that this plan is in bloom stage. Really strange that it started to bloom in week 4 with 19 hours light . Autoflower strain put by mistake in the Green gelato package? Who knows.... We switched feeding to bloom on this plant ( 2ml biogrow/heaven/bloom and we added 1ml of Sensizym and Carboload)

End of week 2 in flowering (day 57 from sprout) and things go well. Made some defoliation and tied up some last stems to keep the plants in the center of the tent lower in hight than the the plants in the edges. I didn't add any fertilizer this week and generally i don't feed often even if my grow is organic. Addititives in the soil before transpalant do the trick. Most of these strains need light to moderate feeding especially in Nitrogen.

01/28/23 - Gave her another round of haircut and lollipop. Under the canopy looks lot cleaner. I have better air circulation and light penetration now. Defol also exposes lot more cola sites to the light. Hoping she doesn't go in shock since it's an auto. She is a late bloome, I am just starting to see more pistils. So most likely she will live in the tent for another couple months! 01/29/23 - She drank a gallon of fox farm nutrients (grow and bloom). I was worried about sending her in shock with latest defol. The way her canopy turned out a day later, absolutely gorgeous 😍! 02/01/23 - Frustratingly did another round of defoliation. I see pistils but she is not ready to come out of vegetation. I might contact ILGM to figure out what's going on here. 02/03/23- End of week 9 for this girl. Still in preflower. The bud sites are getting thicker and I am seeing more pistils. It's nowhere near where I want it to be but I've decided to give it the time it needs.

------------------------- | BLUEBERRY HARVEST | ------------------------- After two sunny days it is harvest time !! - Finally, 16 days of flush - At first thought, the trimming would be easier compared to my previous plants, but when removing more leaves, more buds appearing too hahaha so it took like 4 hours or more..It is not the most accuurate trimming but i had not much time that day, i removed all the leaves and branches after weighting it all.. Like i said on the last post, im harvesting having in mind my bud preferences (the later the better), weather, humidity and sunlight, so the first of the cloudy/rainy days she was chopped in the moring, attending the principle of thc regeneration at night.. Got to say that, i wasnt expecting such production (8 days until it was well dried), this plant started as the season saver because the Cheese started to flower in march, revegged etc.. and i have been rewarded with this BB, a true genetic portent !! If i could, i would keep her as mother forever ^^ The quality is awesome, she looks more like a WW talking about that coat of thc.. Flavour without proper cure, is deep earthy at first, transitioning to a fruity, sweet one, it is a pleasure to smoke, delicious sweet aftertaste.. Week Three (Day 14 to Day 21) Their height is between 12 and 17 inches. Explosive growth in Day 14 through Day 21. Required careful light management. Some are growing approximately 1 inch per day. We put stakes in the containers to support future growth. OG Kush autoflower doesn't like to be topped or fimmed. Autoflowers in general prefer no topping or transplanting. The stakes will allow us to support the plant and side branches. Plants continue on their Feed / Feed / Water regime. During week three they received one feeding of 750 ppm at 6.3 pH and a second feeding of 950 ppm at 6.1 pH. Plants have shown no sign of nutrient burn or stress. The 950 ppm feeding probably could have gone a bit higher like 1050 or 1150. The side branching is excellent. Highly recommend adding side lights to tents as they help develop side branching. It's all about lumens. Middle of the week some cannabis plants began to develop some pistils.

Starting my grow diary From a 3 week of Bloom. Everything is going well apart that i feel this first 3 weeks of flower i could do a little better on control the environment and the plant feeding.. But all good till now.. let's see....
