🌱 Germination Journey with Terpyz Mutant Mentha de Croco 🌱 Hey Grow Fam! Today kicks off an exciting adventure with Terpyz Mutant Mentha de Croco genetics. I’ve got 10 regular seeds ready to sprout, and I’m looking forward to discovering some beautiful female phenotypes—and maybe even a standout male for potential future breeding. It’s been a while since I’ve worked with regular seeds, so I’m thrilled to dive in! Germination Process Overview: Here’s a step-by-step rundown of the germination setup and process, with a special focus on the equipment and nutrients that are helping these seeds thrive right from the start. Step 1: TheCannaKan Germination Pod 🌱 For germination, I rely on TheCannaKan—a device I’ve come to love and trust. It’s designed to create the perfect microclimate for seed germination, and within just 24 hours, the seeds started showing signs of life. By the 32-hour mark, they were all ready to be transferred to the next stage! I can’t recommend this gadget enough for anyone serious about getting strong, early growth from their seeds. • Why TheCannaKan? • Humidity Control: Ensures seeds stay hydrated without oversaturation. • Stable Temperature: Maintains an even temperature around the seeds, so there’s no shock or stalling. • Enhanced Oxygenation: Keeps fresh air circulating, helping prevent mold and ensuring seeds don’t suffocate. Step 2: Transfer to Root Riots & Aptus Holland Supplements šŸ’§ Once the seeds were sprouted, I transferred them into Root Riots, known for their excellent water retention and structure that encourages strong root growth. Root Riots also have a pH-balanced, spongy texture that makes it easy for roots to penetrate, promoting sturdy, healthy root systems. At this stage, I started using Aptus Holland’s Regulator and Startbooster at 1ml/L each. Here’s why I chose these products for early growth: • Aptus Regulator (1ml/L): Helps strengthen the plants against environmental stresses by supporting cell wall structure. It’s a fantastic choice for giving young seedlings an early boost in resilience. • Aptus Startbooster (1ml/L): This product provides essential microbes and nutrients that stimulate root growth and early plant vigor. Especially for regular seeds, the early root development makes a noticeable difference in later growth stages. Step 3: Lighting with Future of Grow (FOG) LED at 200 PPFD šŸ’” For lighting, I’m using a Future of Grow (FOG) 600W LED. For the germination stage, I’ve dimmed it to around 200 PPFD (photosynthetic photon flux density), which provides just enough light for healthy, strong seedling growth without overwhelming them. • Why Low Intensity? • 200 PPFD ensures that young plants aren’t exposed to too much light, which could cause stress or stunting. This level of intensity is perfect for encouraging healthy development without risking ā€œstretching.ā€ • The FOG LED provides a balanced spectrum tailored to plant growth, setting up these young sprouts for success as they grow. Step 4: Environmental Control with TrolMaster Tent X Controller šŸ“² For monitoring and control, I’m using the TrolMaster Tent X Controller, which lets me dial in every aspect of the environment to make sure these little ones have the perfect conditions for germination and early growth. • TrolMaster Benefits: • Precision Control: Adjust temperature, humidity, and lighting all in one place. • Notifications: Sends updates in real-time to my device, so I can make adjustments as needed without being physically present. • Consistency: Maintains stable conditions around the clock, reducing stress on seedlings and ensuring they’re thriving. Grow Tips & Reflections: Germination is one of the most crucial stages in a plant’s lifecycle. Starting with strong genetics like Terpyz Mutant Mentha de Croco, combined with a solid germination setup and the right nutrients, creates the foundation for a successful grow. šŸ’” Quick Tips for Fellow Growers: • Hydration Balance: Don’t oversaturate! Moisture levels should be high enough for the seeds to sprout but not so wet that they drown. • Light Management: A low PPFD for young seedlings prevents stretch and keeps nodes tight, preparing them for a healthy vegetative phase. • Environment Consistency: Use a reliable controller like the TrolMaster Tent X to manage your settings, and consider monitoring tools for real-time adjustments. Shout Outs to the Community: Big thanks to Terpyz Genetics for these incredible seeds, Aptus Holland for their top-notch nutrients, Future of Grow for the stellar LED lights, and TrolMaster for the amazing controller. Also, shout out to all of you in the growing community—you make this journey exciting and filled with endless learning. Let’s keep growing and sharing together! That’s it for the germination update! Next up, I’ll be monitoring growth closely to identify strong females (and maybe a standout male for breeding). Week two, girls seem to be OK still, although I have little clue as to how big they should be! May 11th (day 9 since planting sprouted seeds into final pots), I think they are doing OK? Pictures are from May 11th. No nutes given although I did add 0.5ml to 1 litre water, in a sprayer, but have restrained myself from using it yet!! Watering has been using bottled spring water which I leave (5ltr bottles) in the grow tent so it's the same temp as air and substrate. I've pretty much let them dry out between watering. Raised light height a little as I have a small amount of curl on the leaf ends. I also made the fan a little less direct. I feel like I know this has to be light or fan related as the girls are not root-bound and all other parameters are fine. I could well be wrong of course, but I'm determined to learn what the girls want by changing the obvious parameters first before worrying about the big stuff. It's a very mild curl anyhow so I believe it'll be heat/light and fan related. Size-wise, the three are between 75 and 90mm tall and span in 95 to 110mm. If anyone has any thoughts I would love to hear/read them! May 12th I was really pleased to see the progress when I checked on them this morning. I have added a picture. The difference between yesterday and today is pretty clear. Things seem to be OK(?) but what do I know; this is my first grow following reading and learning a little. I've been spraying the leaves before lights out. Is this a good thing? I am aiming to LST the girls so, could anyone recommend when? How many nodes, how tall etc... It would really help me feel confident in the training. May 13th. Pretty amazed at how they're doing. Not that I particularly have anything to compare to experience-wise as these are my first grow. They're kinda praying a little so, doing some reading up on here, I have decided to raise the lights to 20" from 18". Maybe I should go higher? I'll see. Anyhow, temps went up over night as I had closed my grow room window so when I checked this morning they were sitting in 28.6C and 41% humidity. Now more stable at 25C and 47%. One thing I had not realised was how mercurial the temp and humidity would be and how quickly it changes so I need to be more mindful of this. I have added .5ml Biobizz Bio-Grow per 1ltr bottled spring water, although I am still using water only at this time, but in the next couple of days (start of week 3) I will start adding low dose nutes and then foliage spraying them just before lights out and see what that brings. I can always back it off I guess. It's all a bit of educated guesswork, currently, whilst I find my feet with this! May 14th. Decided to hold back on the nutes; Biobizz schedule is seemingly for cuttings and not seedlings so I think I've avoided a potential issue there, given that the Biobizz All-mix soilds have enough nutes to carry the seedlings through almost to flowering of the autos. So, I will remain on giving just bottled spring water until day 21, so, another 1.5 weeks. Then I think I'll add grow and bloom together at the suggested rates. I have some foliar spray mixed up with grow at 0.5ml/L which I think I will use for misting just before lights-out. No picture today... but I will post pics tomorrow instead. May 15th, day 13. Pictures uploaded. The girls are getting really broad, but height only 110mm. Should I raise my lights which are at 19" above top of canopy. They're certainly growing and seem healthy! Still watering (every two days, allowing for an almost dry substrate using the finger/knuckle test in the soil. May 16th, day 14. Started LST with bendy pipe cleaners. Honestly, it was nerve-wracking. I placed anchors at the base and did a simple bend to between 55 and 70 degrees across them. Only thing is, some of the canopy/lower leaves are almost touching the substrate so, should I trim them? I couldn't get up to the top to pull down either and had to go lower, as the plants are very young and squat, seemingly, so not a lot of spacing so I did what I could, anchoring under whatever was free in terms of space. Tomorrow - week 3 of veg starts!

Week 4! We're very close of flower now! This is what happened in this week: - I did some LST! 😁 - I increased the amount of nutrients and it seems they like it! - The plant on the front is growing more than the one on the back. - Some weird marks appeared in one of the biggest fan leaves from the girl on the back. What could that be? My girls need more water too as I've have not been watering them enough and I believe they might get root-bound because of that. Next week that issue will be fixed and hopefully that will allow them to grow some stronger roots! I also thought about trimming my girls, specially the one in the front but I don't think they are developing as fast as I'd like them to be so I'll hold down for now. I'd rather tuck some leaves around instead of stressing my girls way too much and get some bad results šŸ˜– Anyway, that's all for now and thanks for reading! See you all next week! 😃

Hi, topman!! 10 days have passed since the last report, and during this time the plants have grown and We have bent them down to prepare for SCROG. Defoliation was also carried out 7 days ago, which we will do again before the transfer on 12/12. Added delta 9 from CBG - the best thing to add at the vegetative stage!!

CRAZY NIGHT (continued) I get a cab back to the boys, we take the company car to the casino where we can park it relatively safely under cctv camera. It has a non functioning and non closing window at this point, so thats the best place we could think of. We hit the sino, win a few bucks and kill a few hours. I lose one of the boys to a high class and expensive looking late night date (???) and he assures us he will see us at breakfast in 40 minutes (hahah). We walk out with our winnings to find our car is gone. Not only is the window non functioning, it is non existent. Well there goes fucking breakfast! We called to report the incident, and one of us had to stay to chat with the cop and the casino. I didnt have the time, so my remaining buddy gave the notes. No texts from NX, so I called him. at around 4:40am. Went right to voicemail, followed by a text: "Im stucK" ...(continued) DIARY STUFF These Fastbud fast finishers are incredible plants. Not even finished 6 weeks of flower and they are packing on some serious cola weight. So much bud to leaf ratio, and sticky as all hell. Added Beastie blooms to the flowering feed and they seem to be loving it. Heat has been a battle this week as it is the middle of july and humid. Running lights at half power and ac full HEATHER !!! Day 50: Girls are looking great! šŸ’Ŗ A couple of them are a little further along than the others. Pistils are starting to change colors. PPM's going in are higher than runoff PPM. No change in the PH. In at 6.5 and out at 6.5.... Still have some rust spots. Still thinking that I need to dial in my light distance/intensity. Day 51: Got one girl that the issue of rust spots is not going away. Not getting worse, but just will not leave. Other than that they are still bulking up and looking beautiful. Can't wait to start checking the tric's! Using AN Big Bud for a couple feeds and MOAB for a couple of feeds. Have been feeding every water as my output PPM's are less than what is going in. Will keep this cycle until needed to flush or an issue occurs.. Day 52: No new updates. They still look basically the same as 5 minutes ago when I checked em!! šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ Day 53: Went ahead and ran 2 gallons of PH'd water through them. This rust spot issue is driving me crazy!!! Will just use PH'd water for a day or 2 and hope that it stops! Day 54: Well, no new spots that I see. Probably too early to tell, but I feel better about it :) Day 55: No new updates today. Watered with Recharge. Day 56: The girls look wonderful and smell the same. Gave them a good defoliation today as they were extremely bushy! Thanks, B for the pointers!!
