๐Ÿ“† Week 12, 7-12 July 2024 Harvest 8 July - Turned light power down to 25%. Changed nutrient solution to RO water to begin flush. 11 July - Harvest 12 July - Begin curing time. ๐Ÿ“‘ Harvest time! She is ripe, danky, sticky, full of resin, solid, and I am pleasently suprised at the yield. This is not your ordinary Auto Afghan variety. She produces heavy buds and a lot of them. This is also the first auto I have grown using DWC in 12 weeks without manipulation - 18 hours straight from start to finish. I pushed her to the limit. Now she will hang in the closet at 50-55% RH and 70 degrees F, for about 7-10 days curing. Then she will trimmed and put into one quart glass mason jars, with 62% Boveda TurpShield and burped until 62% RH is maintained. The full potency potential and terp profile will be reached in about 30-45 days. ๐Ÿ“† 19 July 2024 The Smoq Report: After 7 days of hanging, she was ready to cut. I trim and shape each individual bud, removing unwanted leaf and stem. Itโ€™s a process but worth it if you smoke bud. Her potency is evident. It will take the experienced smoker to a satisfying high and keep you there for a good hour or more before you want another hit. The smell and taste is of a typical Afghan. I was expecting a heavier yield, but in the end I guess we all hope for a little more! Maybe next grow! ๐Ÿถ Nutrient solution changed to RO water ๐Ÿ’ง Using reverse osmosis water with EC/TDS at 0 ๐Ÿ”† Light power at 25%, DLI 20 canopy coverage at 18hrs ๐Ÿ˜ค Using PYPABL, Air Pump, 400GPH That is it for this grow. Thanks for following, reading and stopping by.

So the girls still look healthy, the flower sites are starting to set in now so some defoliation of the bottom skirt is required this week, time to decide whether I'm going to take some clones!! Have the girls a little sprinkle of barley and rockdust from Living Soils, nothing crazy just a couple of tbsp of each. The P1000 is still doing a good job at the moment but thinking I might need an upgrade soon, see what results I get!! Thanks for stopping by ๐Ÿ‘

This is towards the end of last week. The BB crosses are doing excellent. They have all gone through some extreme temps with intense temp and RH fluctuations. Iโ€™ve concluded that the plants 1 week behind experienced too much heat on this one day when some things came up and I wasnโ€™t around to get them out of the hot sun in time, and they were stunted by excessive heat over 90F. The others didnโ€™t show much signs of stress at all. Iโ€™m not giving up on the little ones, but I am giving them a large amount of grace and understanding. They can just continue to grow and do their best. Maybe they will come back into full speed in a week or so. Maybe not. At least I will grow them out to learn what happens. From now on I will be extra careful with all stimuli my seedlings are receiving. Showing sone other plants of same age, some of which are photoperiods that began flowering about a month and a half early, with 15 hours of daylight! Why? My first guess is some form of extreme rodelization. I did notice on both A-Trains that they each had a node with two pollen sacks developing as well as the burst of female bracts. So I nicked off the pollen sacks right away, and Iโ€™ve been putting them under a light for the nights to hopefully reveg them. Either way, a fun anecdote for some new knowledge and experience! Iโ€™m sure they would bud out Fat! Seeing how much they did in 2-3 days! But maybe thereโ€™s other elements at play.

The MC3 is a real beast I wish I gave it some support its packin on weight down the stretch probably gunna be one I hang onto and run another couple rounds. The MC4 is slower Im actually still giving that one light feeds but also has potential I'll see how that shapes out and I'll have to run MC6 again since I tossed it. MC2 is the big one it always throws down this might be the best run I've had with it yet. Started the flush on most of these last week. Everything has been steady all around. Going to start taking them down a few at a time over the next week or 2 some will go longer than others so they'll come down 3 or 4 at a time. Allright! After the suspected light stress last week, the plants are in their second day of 18/6 light schedule and it looks like they are recovering. The front-left plant's upper leafs seem to be straightening out and overall the plants look healthier than last week ๐Ÿ‘Œ. I plan to measure the light intensity, but as things look now, there were two plants that were more susceptible to stress from the LED lights. It's not what you want in a grow, but it has taught me a valuable lesson. Don't just blindly assume a plant can handle 100% of the grow light in the third week โœŒ๏ธโ˜˜๏ธ In the end I don't think it affected the grow that much. The plant on the left corner in the back is a bit taller compared to the rest, but all plants look healthy and ready to start blooming! I have applied some LST clips on the side branches of the tallest plant. This guides the branches sideways and creates a more open structure. You can check them out at https://www.royalqueenseeds.com/growing/533-bending-clips.html ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒฟ Mid-week update The plants have grown very fast this week and now they're all in bloom โœŒ๏ธ Because of the fast growth, I've removed some of the fanleafs in the canopy, and fan leafs and small branches in the lower parts of the plants. I use the leafs for tea with liquorice in the morning and at dinnertime I chop them up for a mixed salad. The taste is really good and raw Cannabis is super healty as well.

I feel sorry for my plans this 2 weeks I haven't been able to look after them properly I've been working long shift with Christmas approaching there's no time for anything so I was pushing in a lot of nutrients into them and I caused a nutrients lockout .I have flush them out with just clean water at the right pH 6.5 and they are responding very well from now on I will continue to Baby them so they gave the best result possible within the circumstances of the plants. Thank you for reading I will continue to update have a happy grow

Day 1 โ€“ Germination (Water Glass Method) Today I started germinating my Gelato K seeds using the water glass method. The seeds are soaking in room temperature water for 12-24 hours, giving them a good start. Waiting for them to crack open and show the first signs of life! I'll keep you posted on the progress. ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’ง Day 2 โ€“ Into the Soil (No Germination Yet) Even though the seeds haven't germinated yet in the water, I decided to go ahead and plant them directly into the soil. Iโ€™ve placed the seeds about 1 cm deep and added a sprinkle of mycorrhizal fungi to help encourage root development once they sprout. Now, Iโ€™m making sure the soil stays moist and hoping the seeds will break through soon. Let's see what happens over the next few days! ๐ŸŒฑ๐ŸŒ Day 4 โ€“ First Leaves Unfolding Exciting progress! ๐ŸŒฑ Yesterday, on Day 3, the seedling finally broke through the soil and made its appearance. Today, on Day 4, the first tiny leaves (cotyledons) have fully formed. Itโ€™s a great sign that the plant is establishing itself and is ready to begin photosynthesis. The soil is staying moist, and Iโ€™m keeping the light at a good distance to encourage steady growth. Looking forward to seeing those first true leaves pop up in the coming days!

Update 29/8/2021 Nothing much going on last couple of day's today the pots ran dry again so i've watered them and gave new nutrients. some leaves still start to turn yellow but i'm just leaving them as they go now. 1 plants is still not really showing any progress in growth.. the 2 others slowly seem to grow. Update 1/9/2021 Hey Folks, again not much action this week. picking some dead leaves left and right. but thats it. Really starting to think that 1 plant is lost. it doesn't show any more growth. we are slowly getting closer to the finish line. and man do i want to finish this.. and start a new cycle with all the knowledge I have now.๐Ÿ˜Ž stay safe๐Ÿ™
