I switched to a flowing light cycle mid week and they all took it on pretty well. The first lingering smell is developing while they strech and gained almost 5cm in only 3 days. I removed a couple of large fan leaves, mostly the bottom ones and a pair of top leaves to give light a chance to penetrate further don the canop

Dropped the 3 seeds in water bath with a little HESI rooting mix, little mycorrhizae. On a heat mat, covered for complete darkness. 24 Hr soak - then seeds moved into own Seed Germinator - Karlโ€™s Bubatz Popper ๐Ÿ˜‚ 24 hrs after 22 degrees and 90-95% humidity seeds developed long enough roots to hit the soil. To avoid any chance of damage the cotton pads hit the soil too.

03/01 Wow, Iโ€™m honestly blown away by how this grow is progressing! In the last 24 hours alone, theyโ€™ve guzzled an incredible 45 liters of water. ๐Ÿ˜ฒ I mean, seriously, thatโ€™s insane! The stretch is probably just about wrapping up, so Iโ€™m keeping busy tying them down for now. Once the stretch is over, Iโ€™ll be going in for some selective pruningโ€”there are just so many new shoots popping up. Iโ€™ve got to say, Iโ€™ve never seen growth like this before. Itโ€™s exhausting, though, and Iโ€™ve already run out of zip ties again! ๐Ÿ˜‚ So, tomorrowโ€™s mission: stock up on more. Iโ€™ve noticed a few slightly discolored leaf tips here and there, but itโ€™s really minimal. Thatโ€™s exactly what Iโ€™m aiming forโ€”pushing them right to the edge without overfeeding. ๐ŸŽฏ Also, I just realized itโ€™s been over a week since I added any CO2. Maybe thatโ€™s why Iโ€™m seeing these tiny signs? ๐Ÿค” Something to experiment with moving forward. Honestly, Iโ€™m so curious to see where this grow takes meโ€”thereโ€™s so much potential in these plants! Stay tuned, folks. ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’ช 06/01: Last night, I started defoliating, and I really went at it with a ruthless approach. I didnโ€™t worry about branches snapping while scroggingโ€”my philosophy is simple: the strongest will survive, and the weakest will wither away. Survival of the fittest in action! I also noticed that one plant seems to be either too wet or too dry. Iโ€™ll need to keep an eye on this one because thereโ€™s quite a bit of dying foliage at the bottom. My gut tells me itโ€™s slightly overwatered, although that shouldnโ€™t really be an issue with coco. Still, better safe than sorry! ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’ช

Cracking away now.. UVB up to 1.25hrs a day. Zero stress, just juicy, fat buds really starting to stack.. Unfortunately, while they are supposed to all be Purple genetics, it's only showing in 1 plant.. Anyone know if this is normal, or the result of clear bag seeds? Anyway, they're looking happy, healthy & dusted in sugar! Sweeeeet! Happy grows, everone!

So far these plants have shown nothing but resilience and a will to grow I have put quite a bit of effort in but Iโ€™m sure Iโ€™m lacking in one or two spots but you would never be able to tell by the Look at the plants they seem quite happy and they are relatively patient with a new grower lol

Room setup rundown, examples of bud, et al in pictures... Seedlings/Clones lights - Viparspectra XS1500. Vege lights - Mars Hydro FC-4800 Flower Lights - 650w 3400K 1900umol/s PAR, (3) 226w DIY 2900K 630umol/s PAR (678w and 1890umol/s), Substrate - 50/50 sphagnum peat moss and vermiculite in 5-gallon pots Climate Control - Luckily, the lights, winter and normal furnace use all equate to a decent temperature, though a bit on colder side in in vege phase, sadly. Humidifier is needed early and later a dehumidifier is needed when canopy develops. I only grow in the winter months. Irrigation - do not use the emitters in this diary. They suck a big fat dick to skip a line to suck a bigger dick. Use the pressure compensating type. https://growdiaries.com/diaries/232811-strawberry-cookies-og-r1-cherry-diesel-bbgs-ego-epg-ebg-grow-journal-by-001100010010011110/week/1366923 -- use something similar to those. They come in different shapes, too. Basic process The little light takes care of seedlings in 2.5" wide seedling pots until first up-pot. The 1-gallon pots fit well under the FC4800 in a 4x4 tent until day 21 after sprout. I plant 150% or more of what i need, so i can kill the weak without concern. The goal is for every plant that makes it to the 5-gallon up-pot being capable of producing a minimum of 160 grams with a maximum of a 35-40 day vegetative phase. Third up-pot is into 5-gallon nursery pots and now under the 3 DIY lights and the 650W light in the big tent for a couple more weeks of vege. An irrigation system in the big tent saves a lot of time. One scrog for training and another for support, just in case. Reverting back to a more systematic approach to canopy composition moving forward. About 2.3 colas per sq ft and 8 primary colas per plant. Yields were similar when over-crowding and being less systematic, but the proportion of less dense nugs is greater and trim time is needlessly elevated because of that fact. I was very controlling about this the first couple years but got away from it for far too long at this point. Drying / Curing - Into mesh racks for 9 days. I wet trim and cut down to similarly sized buds for even drying. Temps are controlled around 68F and RH is set to 60%. Then into some 5-gallon buckets with gamma seal lids and (3) 2-way 67g boveda humidipaks (58% or 62%) in each bucket - 1 at bottom, 2 at top. Temp/RH probe confirms that they hold the RH steady at 60-63%. Cost - 0.33 cents (USD) per gram produced. This includes an accelerated depreciation expense for all equipment used, fertilizer, water, electricity for all equipment used, new filters and other yearly purchases - bti, ph strips, sticky traps, etc. I'm a finance guy, so these numbers are comprehensively accurate and purposely err slightly on high side of cost. The only facet not included is the cost of my labor.

Week 8 Flower week 2 Flower-day 5 26/10/2025 Finally feeling good again! Kept the same nutrient mix almost the same, have had to use some others just to get by until more rock up ๐Ÿ™ƒ Floramax Veg 1: 1000ml Floramax Rezin: 400ml Floramax Organabud: 400ml Floramax Flowering Enhancer: 400ml Cyclo Platinum Silica: 200ml ISN Cal-Mag: 400ml (still waiting on my main one to be delivered, so using whatโ€™s left of this) Green Planet Massive Bloom: 200ml Green Planet Bud Booster: 4 scoops (30ml each) Sleeps with the Fishez: 100ml โ€” used some hydrogen peroxide today while waiting for the next batch to arrive next week Iโ€™ve been looking into a flushing additive called New Millennium Winter Frost for a nice clean finish. Pistils finally popped up yesterday on a few of the top sites! Should start seeing some solid stretch from LA punch soon, guessing around 30 to 40cm at least, who really knows right now ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ Iโ€™m letting her do her thing and reach up into the net for now. If she starts getting crowded before the end of week 3, Iโ€™ll kick off some early defoliation. Also got two AC Infinity IonBeam S11 lights set up sitting about level with the top colas. Iโ€™m aiming the light to hit the middle and lower sections instead of blasting the tops directly, trying to get that nice even coverage. Still debating whether I even need to scrog this run, but a few people keep telling me to give it a go to see the difference, I guess only one way to tell ๐Ÿ™Œ

ABout 900 grams of wet lovely buds, LED s take longer ,and the buds are not as big as HPS,but there does seem a uniform quality about the flowers, there was very little waste, you know the shitty popcorn bits, but i cant help but think had i used an HPS i would have cleared over 10 ounces dry, i havent weighed it yet, but i reckon its 6 Ounces. I have put as many pictures as possible, just for reference, A very nice smoke. Dry Pictures at the end.
