Germination
February 15, 2024 Welcome to the next installment of my grow world. This run will be a pair of Banana Purple Punch by FastBuds. Happily, I won these in a contest and will take great pleasure in growing them. So let's get into it. I'm running a 3x3 AC Infinity Grow System. It has a 4" exhaust fan and carbon filter. 2 circular fans with one oscillating. I may end up with a second oscillating fan in a couple weeks. We shall see about that. The Germination Center is also AC Infinity with the 12" supplemental lighting for the seedlings and a heat mat. I also have a small 4" computer fan, also from AC Infinity, to help regulate the air exchange in the Center. For the grow itself, I'll be using 3 gallon fabric pots and the AC Infinity bottom feed watering basins. I have used these for a few runs with these and I love them. Technically it's a hydroponics setup, but with soil for a medium. Speaking of soil, I'll be reusing my Sohum Living Soil. The last run had used soil and I ended up with 21.25 oz from a single plant. A few more things to mention about the expectations of this grow. I'll be implementing LST and SCroG if needed. I don't want to top them as I feel it slows down the grow and extends the time it takes to grow. As it stands, I have about 10 weeks until a contest I'm running in and this is an 8 week strain. Hopefully it doesn't take any longer that 9 weeks. If not, I'm kind of in trouble. Anyway, along with training, I'll be running a weekly dose of recharge and advanced nutrients 3 part base. This is living soil so it shouldn't need much for nutrients. However, 8 do have a regimen that I have ready to go if I need it. I'll also be using root riot plugs for the seedling stage. With the light at around 250 PPFD, I'll run the light at 18/6 from the start. That's all for now. See you tomorrow. February 16, 2024 Day 1: Both ladies popped last night and had little tap roots ready to go this morning. So they were planted in the root riot plugs. I don't expect them to be in the Germination Center for more than a few days. I prefer to plant in the final pot before the roots start to show through the plug. So like 2 days. Currently I'm warming up my soil from being out in the cold garage. I'll be filling up the pots probably tomorrow and have them in the tent for a day to acclimate and get some water before planting the plugs. Germination Center Environment: Temp: 77.6° RH: 82.9% VPD: 0.55 kPa February 17, 2024 Both ladies are showing some green coming out of the plugs. I feel like they will pop the surface later today. I'm having a bit of an issue keeping the temp above 75°. I'm sure it will adjust once the lights go on, but for now it's just below 75°. The humidity is a bit bouncy as I can't find the correct spot for the "exhaust fan" yet. It won't really matter until the lights go on and both ladies have popped. I didn't end up filling the pots up yet. I have to wash the basins out first. I'll do that today and prep the pots tomorrow. Quick Update: I turned the light on now that I'm seeing green but not quite popped yet. It should help with keeping the heat up. Germination Center Environment: Temp: 76.5° RH: 82.1% VPD: 0.56 kPa February 18, 2024 Both ladies popped their plugs last night. Perfectly green and healthy little stalks. Honestly, it's only been a total of 2 days and they have already popped surface? I don't think they will be in the Germination Center for too long. At this rate, they'll be in their final pots by tomorrow. I'll try to not let the roots grow out too much. Speaking of final pots, I have filled my 3 gallon AC Infinity fabric containers with reused Sohum Living Soil. So they are all ready to go. It's nice and clean and still perfectly moistened and fee of roots. I've also decided not to use humidity domes when I plant them. I will be using a humidifier and the light lower and dimmer to keep the RH in place. At least for a couple of days. I do plan on raising the light significantly and increasing the power. I genuinely feel that the perfect foot print for this setup is about 24" at 90% power. Any higher and light may be lost even at 100%. This is just my experience so far. But I wouldn't pay too much heed to it. I haven't been able to really test my theory out yet. My last couple grows had plants that were much too tall. Hopefully I can keep them short and wide this time around. Anyway, the supplemental light is currently at 60% power. The intensity is around 250 PPFD. I'll be running the light at 18/6 for the entire grow starting last night. I normally run seedlings at 24/0 and switch to 18/6 when the dome comes off. But this time I feel like trying a full 18/6 from day 1. It'll be interesting even if nothing happens. At least something to note. Quick Update: I decided to drop the light power down to 30%. I'll increase it to 40% tomorrow and so on until I hit 350 PPFD. Because this strain is super fast, I'm going to need to get up to 350 in a matter of days. Then the big light goes on. Germination Center Environment: Temp: 76.5° RH: 76.5% VPD: 0.74 kPa February 19, 2024 Today is a new day and a new stage. Both ladies were planted in their final containers. I watered them in with 250 ml of plain water PHed to 6.2. I didn't concentrate all of the water at the base. I made sure to start with 100 ml around the base and the rest covering the whole top soil. Their tap roots were poking out from the plugs already. I was kind of hoping for one more day in the Germination Center, but then I would have had to set up the nursery bags and that wasn't the plan for this run. Hopefully my calculations are correct with the 250 ml. I'm using the 3.4 gallon fabric pots from AC Infinity I already mentioned. They are also used from 2 runs ago and washed thoroughly. Domes were added and the main grow light is now on at 20% power. The light height is around 30" and the intensity is at 290 PPFD. It's a bit high, but the domes block out a bit of the light, dropping the intensity down to 200 PPFD. The tent isn't all that warm currently due to cold weather, but I'm hoping the heat of the main grow light will increase the temp in the domes. Currently the tent temp is 72° and the temp under the domes is around 68°. I'm hoping over the next few hours, the temp will raise up and the environment will stabilize. I can't keep the domes off either as the RH is hovering at 43% in the tent itself. I have a humidifier, but that dropped the temp down even more, hence the domes. Kind of a pickle I'm in. I'll keep trying different things until I get it right. I hope it won't take me more than a day or 2. If not the next few hours. Grow System Environment: Temp: 68° RH: 80% VPD: 0.49 kPa February 20, 2024 It's day 4 since seeds and these ladies are doing perfectly fine. Right on cue as well. I expect them both to hit the Veg stage in just a few days. Should be by the end of this first week. Maybe a day or 2 after. The domes are doing their job perfectly. Just a little bit of dew and the temps are finally leveling out at a reasonable number. 75° by the end of the morning, the environment should be spot on. That's all for the day. No watering. I'll water tomorrow another 250 ml for each baby. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75° RH: 75% VPD: ? (I'm taking readings from 2 different hydrometers. One of the main tent for temp and the one for the Germination Center for RH) February 21, 2024 Both ladies got another 250 ml of filtered water PHed to 5.8, spread around the entire pot surface. I was thinking about doing another 250 ml around the outside of the pot. It may be a good idea to start moistening the rest of the soil. So when they start the veg stage, they can take off immediately. I'll probably wait until this afternoon and then decide. I did notice that A had drier soil than B. B is in the front and A is in the rear. I wonder why that is. They look absolutely wonderful. Slightly praying and they both have really nice steady growth. The leaves are a beautiful dark green. So healthy and ready to go. The baby fan leaves have some really pronounced, serrated edges. As for lighting, I've been paying attention over the past day and I think the domes will come off tomorrow or the next day. The light may also need to be lowered when the domes come off. Currently the intensity is 200 PPFD. I think 300 PPFD should be a good starting point starting week 2. I've also been researching and I think I have a good light schedule for the whole grow. At 18/6 Week 1: 200 PPFD DLI: 13 Week 2: 250 PPFD DLI: 16.2 Week 3: 350 PPFD DLI: 22.7 Week 4: 500 PPFD DLI: 32.4 Week 5: 700 PPFD DLI: 45.4 Week 6: 700 PPFD DLI: 45.4 Week 7: 700 PPFD DLI: 45.4 Week 8: 550 PPFD DLI: 35.6 Week 9: 500 PPFD DLI: 32.4 This is based on a 3 week veg time and 5 week flower time. Update: Domes Removed. I was researching as to when to remove a humidity dome from a seedling and everything I've read is to remove them a day or 2 after sprouting. So I removed them. The tent has been sitting nicely around 68% and 77°. So everything should be fine. I'll have to keep an eye on the light. Without the domes, they are getting the full intensity. However, I'm not all that worried. They are both praying, so a bit more light won't hurt. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.6° too low RH: 77.5% spot on VPD: 0.95 kPa estimate February 22, 2024 Not much to do today. I filled the humidifier, cranked the heat and spritzed the babies with a mist of PHed water. Took some photos and that's all. No adjustments needed. Both plants look absolutely perfect. Their leaves are flat, so I know the light is right where it needs to be. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75.9° RH: 80.9% VPD: 0.93 kPa

February 23, 2024 Day 8 Both babies got 250 ml top water today. I'll check on them in a couple hours and see how they are. Other than that. Nothing else to do. I did want to mention how very similar these two are. I think they're the same phenome. Although, it may be a bit early to really tell. That would be cool though. Beautiful green color and perfect little stalk. The true fan leaves are starting to show themselves now, so I can officially move them into the Veg Stage. So for this week, the focus will be watering and ensuring the light intensity is at the right level. I'll probably wait another few days before I think about introducing some nutrients. I'd like to start when the true fan leaves are fully showing. As I've said before, the soil is used, so I think a bit of recharge and Advanced Nutrients 3 Part Base solution would be a good idea. At a minimum of course. I'm counting more on the recharge to really kickstart the soil back to life. I'm definitely going to need to do a full watering when the first node starts and with the nutrient solution. However, I feel like I may need to do that sooner rather than later. Based on my last grow, the biggest plant had the most water in the second week of growth. I even thought I overwatered, but nope. So I'm going to try to replicate that. Especially because this is a super fast strain. They'll need all the water they can get. I'll start that on my next watering. I'll bump it up to 500 ml and focus mainly on the outer rim to help the rest of the soil get to the right moisture level without disturbing the environment they already have at the base. The light is still the same distance from the plants with the same PPFD. I'll start to focus more on DLI in the coming days as they grow. I have my light schedule for the week and plan to stick to it, letting the intensity slowly increase for the start of the next week and so on. I was considering increasing the power to 40% when I need to increase the intensity, but I have so much distance to play with, I might as well keep it at the same level until I get some nodes going. By flower, I'm hoping to have a perfect DLI of 45 by flowering. And hoping to be able to bring the light up to 100% for super deep penetration by then. I'd also like to get the light down to 24" for the veg stage. It seems to be the sweet spot for the coverage footprint. Also, I think I got the Tent Environment down for once. The night temp drops to around 68° while the day temp, although slow to climb, stays around 77°. I'm hoping that doesn't cause a stunting issue with the temp swing at such a young age. I think it will be fine. We shall see. The average temp is a bit low though. I may increase the night temp to 72°. That should put the average over 75°. The RH is pretty steady across the board around 72% with it dropping a little bit to 68% and up a bit higher at night to 74%. The VPD is also spot on averaging around 0.82 kPa. During the day it climbs up to 1.03 and at night drops down to 0.77 kPa. It's a bit low for my taste, but with the increased temp, I should see a nice round 0.83 kPa at night. Someday I'll get an automatic humidifier. Anyway, I know it was a lot, but it's a new week. See you tomorrow: Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.6° RH: 71.8% VPD: 0.82 kPa February 24, 2024 Kind of a big deal today for both ladies. So I in have a pair of Tropicana Cookies sharing the tent with these plants. The TC is showing signs of deficiencies. So to combat that, I added a 1/4 tsp of Recharge to a gallon of water. As I'm growing both strains as similarly as possible, I fed 250 ml to all 4 plants. Hopefully the packaging is correct and it won't burn these little babies. They are definitely hitting Veg already. But to be on the safe side, I covered them with a Starbucks cup and then watered them. It kept the soil from getting saturated at the base and will also help promote outward growth. As for watering itself, I feel like I should be watering more to prep the soil for when the veg stage really hits and the roots start to search more. I'd like to get to the point of runoff by the end of the week. Maybe I'll add another 250 ml with the cup in place again tomorrow. I will also need to water at the base in the next day or so. They are both growing the exact same still. I know it's only been a day, but a lot can change in that time, so nothing yet. Plus, what else am I supposed to document? Stems are strong. Leaves are a beautiful green color and the true leaves are starting to spread more. Lookin good. I'd also like to mention that it is 16° outside today, so even with the heat cranked, it's not really doing much. So low temps for a bit today. Around 70° much too low, but not much I can do until the heat catches up. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.4° RH: 67.6% VPD: 0.90 kPa February 25, 2024 Not much to do today. I'll either water 250ml today or 500 ml tomorrow. Either way, it's time to start wetting the whole container. I'm starting to think I should have done this the day before planting them. Oh well, I'll try that next time. For now, I'll stick with the gradual watering. It'll be increased again next week if needed. These babies look great. The leaves are getting longer and seem to be a medium width. Much like a true hybrid. So far at least. It's still pretty early to tell. We shall see. The light intensity is pretty good as well. No changes needed at the moment. However, I have a feeling I'll be dropping it an inch or two in a couple of days to match the schedule. I don't think I need to increase the power yet. I'll start increasing the power when I start training. It makes sense. I'll be pulling the tops down, so the DLI will be off a bit. But instead of dropping the light, increase the intensity so it can penetrate the new canopy right away. And if I can hover between 22" and 24" light distance, it should be perfect. I feel like that has the best footprint for this setup. Interesting Theory: Mostly for My Records: I may be slow on the info, but I think I figured out how brightness and distance make a difference in PAR and Brightness as well as footprint. The light distance defines the footprint. And the light power defines the brightness. Combining the two makes for a PAR reading. However I feel that the higher the brightness, the deeper the canopy penetration. Distance doesn't really change the brightness. It does change the PAR, but we can fix that with Distance. As long as we match the PAR reading to the proper level, there's no difference, correct? Maybe not. A less bright light even super close to a canopy would not be strong enough to penetrate the canopy because the power isn't strong enough. Even at the same PAR reading, it still wouldn't be powerful enough to penetrate. On the other hand a brighter light with the same PAR reading would work differently. Same PAR reading at a higher distance. But the power would also be higher. I feel that the light will penetrate deeper as long as the PAR remains the same. An example is a too large plant for the setup. Light distance was under 9" and power was down to 30% the PAR reading was much too high even with such low power. The light however couldn't penetrate below the first set of leaves and buds very well. But, in a smaller tent with a 100 watt light, I grew a wonderful plant where the light penetrated the canopy deeper because it was brighter and the distance was deeper. The plant wasn't nearly as big as it was in a 2x2 tent and 1 gallon container compared to the 3x3 tent and a 5 gallon container. But it had dense buds almost all three way down to the base. The larger plant had bud as far down as I allowed, as it mostly came out as popcorn, loose buds and some larf. This all brings me to believe that light power directly affects the canopy penetration and not necessarily distance. Distance plays a role with footprint and brightness, but not power. I also believe light heat makes a difference as well. A brighter light is warmer and plants like to be warm. So they will stretch to the warmth of the light as well. Less power means a cooler light and a less happy plant. My opinion of course. As I'm keeping this for my records, if anyone has any extra info, or correcting facts, please let me know. I'd rather have a theory be corrected or supported so I have the correct information. Doesn't matter how old this Diary is as I check all comments. Thanks in advance! Update: I decided to water in 250 ml of Recharge without the domes. I'll do another 250 ml tomorrow with the domes on and so forth until they get too big to fit under the dome. Then it will be normal watering. Grow System Environment: Temp: 76.1° RH: 74.4% VPD: 0.57 kPa (a bit low, but I'm measuring 2 different probes) February 26, 2024 Mid-week update: Both ladies are looking great! Still wonderful green and growing nice and steady. They are about 6 cm tall or 2 3/4". DLI: 18.1 mol/m²/d PAR: 280 ppfd. I also watered in another 250 ml with the domes on today. I'll run the 250 ml daily until week 3 and then I'll change it up to 500 ml every other day for that week. After that, everything should be good to go for the flowering stage. I'll also install the basins after week 3. It should be excellent timing. They are 1 gallon basins. So refilling should be every other day or so. The goal with this run is to not have to top water at all. The basins should work perfectly as long as I set them up properly. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75.8° RH: 70% VPD: 0.83 kPa February 27, 2024 So major problem in my opinion. My humidifier is blanketing the whole tent with the white powder they give off. I wasn't running my exhaust fan as I didn't need it at all. So I turned it on as low as possible and started one of my circular fans. Hopefully that solves the problem. I had to carefully wipe it off of Banana PP B. However, regardless of the powder, these two are growing quite nicely. Maybe a little slower than I was hoping, but still nice steady growth. They both got a little misting today as well as will be getting the 250 ml watering after the water comes up to room temp. This watering will be PHed to 6.0 and will be dome free. There was still about 400 ml of Recharge left, so I let it stay and just won't add more til next week when I start the base nutrients. I'll also be adding Cal/Mag. Other than that, they are still super green and super healthy. Hopefully they take off when the base nutrients kick in as well as the container soil being properly moistened. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.7° RH: 60.6% VPD: 1.16 kPa February 28, 2024 Not much going on today. They both got their daily 250 ml watering PHed at 5.95. I didn't go near the base though. So it's kinda like having the dome, but not as precise. They are slightly reaching and the first set of true leaves are finally starting to pop out. The node is also growing at what seems to be a wonderful pace. Still a beautiful green and the stalk is nice and strong. Very straight as well. They do have a bit of a lettuce structure on the single fan leaves. It'll be fine. The true leaves look spectacular. Lighting is still pretty spot on. 2 more days and I'll be either lowering the light or increasing the intensity. At this stage I don't think I need to increase the power. The light distance is pretty far away. That gives me a good 6 inches of wiggle room. I'll increase the intensity when they start to grow a second node. On the other hand, I could keep the light where it's at for now and let the plants grow into it. Then I can increase the intensity when they get to that point. Week 3 from seed starts in 2 days. Which should be the true first week of Veg. I'll evaluate on what to do tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I need a DLI of 20 mol/m²/d starting next week. So I'll run the light at 350 ppfd or DLI of 22.7 mol/m²/d. Just above. It seems to be the perfect spot for these ladies. I'd also like to add that I've had zero issues with the 250 ml per day. It keeps the soil moisture just around 50%. Not sure if that means I'm not getting any deeper, but that's why I'll be starting 500 ml every other day next week. I feel that adding the extra 250 will help penetrate the soil better and a bit faster. Especially because those roots are going to start stretching past the dome width. And it's time for the roots to start growing down. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75.4° RH: 62.9% VPD: 1.09 kPa February 29, 2024 Today is the last day of the first week of plant life. Week 2 from seed. Both plants got the 250 ml top water without dome. Lighting looks great. Although, I noticed that a couple hours before lights out, they were both standing straight up like there was no light, but they still had a good 3 hours left. Strange or good? Either way, it'll be adjusted tomorrow to a DLI of 22.7 mol/m²/d. PAR will be 350 ppfd. I'm also going to try and lower the light a smidge. Maybe down to 26". We shall see what works best. Both plants are super healthy and right on track. Maybe a little slower than I'd hoped, but still steady growing. I feel like this will be a 4 week veg time. Greens are beautiful and she looks very strong. Leaves are growing nicely and I can only imagine they will take off when I start the Advanced Nutrients regimen tomorrow. At least I hope they take off. They should though. Tomorrow is around the time when they really start taking root. That in turn speeds up growth so I think I'm right on point here. I'm also going to be posting a video every week. Once the 2 start to show their differences and greater size, then they will each get a video every week. Update: I realized my plants were reaching a bit too much and leaning in toward the light. That being said, they definitely need more light, so I lowered it until I hit a DLI of 19.8 mol/m²/d. That way when I bring it up to 22.7 mol/m²/d it won't be hit so hard immediately. I should have dropped the light down a day or two ago, but oh well. It will be on point for the rest of the grow. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.0° RH: 62.3% VPD: 1.03 kPa The temp slammed down over 50° last night and I'm having a bit of trouble combating it. It'll definitely take a decent amount of the day to re-acclimate. However, it should be fine. I have the temp in my room set to 80° so that should combat the sudden cold.

March 1, 2024 Day 15 Lots to do today. I added nutrients, changed the watering schedule, increased the light intensity, adjusted the light power level and readjusted the height. I've also changed the environment slightly. Starting with watering and nutrients. As I said last week, I changed the watering schedule from 250 ml daily to 500 ml pHed to 6.0 every other day. It's the same amount of water, but a different application. It should help keep the soil moist from top to bottom slowly. 2 more of these 500 ml waterings should put the containers to runoff and then I stop and install the bottom feed systems. Moving on to nutrients. I've started them in their regimen for the veg stage. 2 ml/ gallon of each of the Advanced Nutrients 3 part base solution plus 2 ml/gal Advanced Nutrients Sensi Cal/Mag Xtra. That will be added every other watering. And the Recharge will be added at the start of every week. Next is the lighting changes. Increased light power from 30% to 40% Light height is now 28" DLI: 22.7 mol/m²/d PAR: 350 ppfd This in turn brings me to the last change of the environment. The temp will stay roughly the same between 76° and 77° for the whole of the veg stage with the RH hovering between 60% and 62%. I'm also going to try to increase the night temp to 70° and turn off the humidifier to keep the RH at 60% during lights out. That's all for today. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.3° RH: 60.3% VPD: 1.09 kPa March 2, 2024 Today I'm having a debate with myself. The containers aren't heavy enough for the plants ages. So I'm thinking maybe 250 ml one day and 500 ml the next. And so on until the containers are moist enough. So 250 ml today at some point. And because they are starting to show signs of nitrogen deficiency now, I think I'll have to keep the nutrients in for the rest of the week. Next week, when the pots are full, I'll then switch to feed every other watering. Lighting is looking spot on. They are reaching slightly and look perfect. Next week, I think I'll increase the light power up to 60%. There should be plenty of foliage to capture all the light. I'll also be starting training by the end of this week and into next week. Whenever they get tall enough to touch the side of the containers, is when I'll start training. I have air circulation, but not blowing directly on the plants yet. Hopefully that keeps the stalk malleable so I can comfortably be d them down as needed. I may also top them. I have discovered that a topped plant for me means a huge harvest. Every plant I have ever accidentally topped or mangled has provided wonderful yields. I had a Zkittlez that gave me 6.5 oz, a 6 oz Skywalker and the best so far, a Gorilla Cookies that yielded 21.5 oz! That being said, I feel like it's in my best interest to top them and go from there. However, I won't be topping right away. I find that the breaks happen during training when there's a good amount of branches. It's accidental, but still works wonders. We shall see how things go over the next 2 weeks. That should be it for veg, 2 more weeks. Finally, the nutrient regimen. Because the plants are suffering a small amount of nitrogen deficiency, I may increase the dose to 3 ml/gal instead of the 2 ml/gal. I'm also thinking about doubling the dose of Cal/Mag. The deficiency isn't bad, but I'm not 💯 certain what the deficiency is. Nitrogen or Cal/Mag. One of the three or maybe an iron issue. That should be fixed with the nutrients. Update: I decided to water in 250 ml after all. I didn't water at the base though. I feel that is crucial in not overwatering the young plants. When I water the 500 ml tomorrow, I'll water the base. It seems to be working. Also, I am wondering if I should do a foliar spray with the nutrients just to help speed up the nitrogen intake. I'll have to research if I should or not. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.1° RH: 60.9% VPD: 1.10 kPa March 3, 2024 Both plants are now showing signs of nitrogen deficiency. I'm not surprised, but still, I need to fix it. So I increased the dose from 2 ml to 3 ml for the whole regimen except for the Recharge. That stayed the same. They got their 500 ml watering today as scheduled. The bases were also watered. Hopefully with the nitrogen coming in, they don't stunt. The soil moisture is about half way down the container. today's watering may bring it down to 75% of the container. I'll have to check later on after the soil has time to absorb. Technically it should drop in a few hours from the 43% it is now to about 35%. That's how I know the lower soil has absorbed the water. Tomorrow I'll do another 250 ml without watering at the base. This seems to be working quite well. I think I'll be good by the end of the week for watering. The basins will be installed next week I think. The plants should be big enough for the bottom feed system by then. Other than the nitrogen deficiency, they are beautiful and growing very nicely. I did notice that A is a tiny bit smaller than B and the leaves are a slightly different shape. Different phenome maybe? I'll find out. I had to raise the light up an inch as well. I'm trying to keep the DLI at 22.7 mol/m²/d for the next day or two. I will most likely increase the power to 50% tomorrow and mess with the distance. That way, when I transition to 60% next week and increase the DLI, it should go smoothly. The environment is spot on and has been for a couple of days now. Let's hope for less wonky weather for the next few weeks. The temp is hovering around 77° during the day and 70° during lights out. The RH is staying strong at 61% day and night. Very happy with that. I did increase it to 62% yesterday to keep the temp in check. Worked like a charm. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75.5° RH: 62.1% VPD: 1.11 kPa March 4, 2024 I have found my differences between the the plants. BPP A is slower to grow and has thinner leaves. I feel like this may be a sativa leaning phenome. It makes sense. Sativa's take longer and they have thinner leaves. But because this strain is a hybrid, the leaves aren't as thin. She only has one set of leaves and the first node hasn't opened up yet. Could be stunted or as I'm thinking, but it's still slower. Either way, I'm going to keep an eye on this one. If it's a stunt or a dwarf, I'm not keeping it. I'll toss it and make room for the other plants in the tent. BPP B is further along with fatter leaves and already on its second node. I can already see the branches popping out. So things are moving along nicely. However, I feel like she isn't growing as fast as she can and that's definitely my fault for not adding nitrogen a bit earlier than I did. She still has beautiful green leaves. And looks super healthy. Beautiful stalk. Nice and thick. They got their 250 ml watering today without watering the base. I guess I could just say that the 250 ml never gets watered on the base. Anyway, they still need more water. If the 500 ml doesn't do it tomorrow, I'll do another 500 ml the next day. And the day after as well. I really want a bit of runoff before I install the basins. Both plants are slightly leaning in toward the center of the light. That tells me I need to either rotate or raise the light and increase the power. But I think I'll have to increase the footprint so the outside of the plants get the light they need. Also, when the basins gets installed, the plants will spread out to their own quadrant. Frankly, I'd really like the bar style light from AC Infinity. The board style is too concentrated in the center. Anyway, I'll hold off on the installation for next week. I may rotate later today to get the plants to stand straight up. I may increase the Grow base for tomorrow's watering. I'd like to get more nitrogen in the plants earlier rather than later. Plus I'm pretty sure I won't be able to poison them with any toxicities. They are definitely low on everything. It should fix soon, but I need growth now. So I may do the additional grow base afterall. One thing I would happily like to mention is the environment. This is the first grow I've ever done that has had a super level environment. Very little variation from day and a from night. RH stays basically the same from day to night at around 61% and 62%. The day and night temps are also spot on. Day time temp is around 77° and 78° with night temp being around 69° and 70°. It's perfect. I increased the light intensity to 450 ppfd today. I increased the light power up to 50% and moved the light up a bit to compensate. As mentioned before, this should help fix the lean the plants have. I may also turn my supplemental lighting on and bring it to the top of the canopy. I might be able to decrease the power level on the main light and save some money on the electric bill. DLI: 27.2 mol/m²/d PAR: 420 ppfd (completely on purpose 🤣) Power: 50% That's all for now. A bit to do today Grow System Environment: Temp: 76.0° RH: 61.7% VPD: 1.15 kPa March 5, 2024 Both plants are looking really nice. However, I'm still a bit concerned with Banana PP A. She's still not opening her second set of leaves. On the other hand, Banana PP B is looking great. They are both getting close to the edge of their containers. Right on que. In 2 days, they should be big enough to install the basins. Hopefully the roots will be close to the bottom where the wicks can work their magic. I watered in 500 ml today. I decided that I needed to increase the nutrients as we are coming to the end of week 2. So now I have all nutrients at 4 ml/gal except the Recharge of course. I may increase that for next week. I'm not sure that I've caught up to the nitrogen issue. I had to move the light up a half inch today. Not much, but I'm keeping the PAR at 420 ppfd until next week. The environment is spot on for the week so far. 78° and 60.5% humidity for the day so far. As for last night, temp at 70.7° and 62.5% humidity. Grow System Environment: Temp: 76.1° RH: 61.9% VPD: 1.14 kPa March 6, 2024 Good day today. Saw some major movements today. Lots of growth overnight and beautiful looking plants. They each got 450 ml of water today. I watered at the base anyway as I need the soil to be moist ASAP. I didn't mess with the lighting today. I'll check tomorrow to see if it needs to be lifted. As always, the environment looks great. Nearly spot on. Today is a bit warmer out and the temp is around 78° in the tent. Nothing I can't fix in a snap. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75.9° RH: 61.7% VPD: 1.15 kPa March 21, 2024 Both ladies got their watering today. I increased the base grow nutrient to 8 ml for this watering. I also spaced out the waterings. I did 250 ml then waited an hour and added the other 250 ml. I also increased the Recharge to half a teaspoon from a quarter a teaspoon. Lighting is still fine. I'll be increasing the power and intensity tomorrow. So each plant is showing slight signs of nitrogen deficiency. It didn't get too far along, but still has a slight deficiency. The colors are nice and green still. I'd also like to note that Banana PPA is still a little bit behind. Not much, but still a bit. She's still the same height as the other one, so that's good. Environment is looks great as usual. No issues and definitely staying in my range. Tomorrow I'll be dropping the RH down to 58% but keeping the temp around 77° for the week. I'd also like to note that both plants have been rotating all on their own. It's intriguing how they are doing that. I'll have to start rotating in a couple weeks when they get bigger. Unless I have to run a net, then no rotation obviously. Still super interesting. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75.5° RH: 61.5% VPD: 1.13 kPa

March 8, 2024 Day 22 Light Specs: Power: 70% Distance: 25.5" DLI: 32.4 mol/m²/d PAR: 500 ppfd Plant Specs: Height: 4.5" Nodes: 2 Leaf Sets: 3 A new week! Week 3 to be exact. So this week is going to focus on lighting and plant growth. Feeding is a thing, but it's not really changing except for the increase. But watering will be the same. 500 ml per day until the container is fully moist. To start, let's talk about the plants themselves. Both ladies look fantastic. They have beautiful green and have super fat leaves. They have 3 nodes and side branches popping out now. I expect her to double or triple in size over the next week as they start to really grow. They should take off any day. Like tomorrow or the next day. I'll be training once they have 4 to 5 nodes. I was thinking about earlier, but they aren't big enough to tie down yet. I've finally installed the basins. The aren't active yet, but will be when training starts. That being said, I had to mess with the light and changed the DLI to 32.4 mol/m²/d. I increased the power to 70% and have the distance at 25.5". This should be perfect for this week. Next week I'll be increasing the power again. Hopefully I can get the distance to around 24" for the rest of the grow. I'll accept 22", but I would much rather have the larger footprint. Especially because the plants are spaced out into their own quadrant. I wasn't expecting to go up to 70% power. Today, they got the remaining water from last week at 475 ml. It was the end of the gallon, so there wasn't a point in making up a new gallon for 100 ml. So tomorrow, I'll water in the 500 ml with the new nutrient dose. Micro: 6 ml Grow: 10 ml Bloom: 6 ml Cal/Mag: 6 ml Recharge: 1/4 tsp Bud Candy: 6 ml This regimen will be for this week. I may add a couple more if I can get them in time. Like Voodoo Juice: 6 ml Piranha: 6 ml Sensizym: 6 ml Rhino Skin: 6 ml (if I can find it) Next is the environment. It's near perfect. I'll be dropping the RH down to 58% for the week and will hold it there for the rest of the veg stage. I'll be keeping the temp around the same at 77°. I might drop it down to 76° if I can. The extra power with the light will increase the temp, so I'll need to compensate for that. I have both circular fans just above the canopy, making a very light breeze to help the plants grow up to be big and strong. The exhaust fan remains at power level 2, which seems to be perfect. It will most likely drop down to level 1. But that's because it's exactly at 58% humidity. Anyway, this is the setup for the week. I'll be keeping a close eye today to make sure they are taking to the light and have no issues. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.9° RH: 60.7% VPD: 1.13 kPa March 9, 2024 Not much going on today. Both ladies were fed 500 ml of the new nutrient dose. I also did a foliar spray with cal/mag. I know you should wait for lights out, but my light isn't bright enough yet to really cause any issues. And the air flow is set to power level 1. Same thing with the exhaust. I'll also do a second foliar spray at lights out. Hopefully the foliar spray with the added nutrients helps. They aren't light green like the Tropicana Cookies in the tent, but they showed signs of deficiency. So I'm treating them like they need the boost. No need to change the light yet. Soon though. I'll have to raise the light up a couple inches. The environment is still looking great! 58% humidity and 77° flat. Perfect. It does bounce a bit between 76° and 78° but hovers mostly at 77° all day. Night temps are still about 70°, so that's also a bonus. Grow System Environment: Temp: 76° RH: 59.9% VPD: 1.21 kPa March 10, 2024 Not much to do today. Both ladies got 250 ml this morning. I'll be adding another 250 ml this afternoon. I'm finally getting some moisture at the bottom of the containers. Not quite enough though. I'm hoping this 250 ml will do it. If not, another 500 ml tomorrow. I really want to get it where I don't have to water everyday. I'll be activating the bottoms feed system next week and I really need to b prepared for it. There is a science to it. You have to get the soil moisture level where you want it to stay. Then activate the system. The wicks will start to work their magic and will provide the containers with the perfect moisture level. These work great! I have discovered that they won't handle massive plants though. But medium sized plants are perfectly fine. Not that having massive plants is an issue or anything, but the basins aren't thick enough to handle it. So top feeding to compensate is the solution. The plants look great! Wonderful greens. The branches are getting pretty long. They are nearly ready for training. Another 3 to 5 inches and I can tie them down. I may wait for the branches to be long enough and then tie it all down at once. It may stress the plant a bit, but then they will all grow the same height. What a lovely canopy I shall create. Anyway, lighting is looking pretty good. They grew about a half inch but the DLI hasn't changed much. Up by 0.1 mol/m²/d. I'll lift the light in a day or two when they are a bit taller. I'll have to drop the light back down when I tie them down, or increase the light power. The environment is still on point. A bit warmer since yesterday afternoon. But it was just the heat in the house kicking on and me not compensating for it. However, the humidity hasn't changed a bit. If it gets warmer, I'll turn the humidifier back on to cool it off and keep the humidity where it is. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.9° RH: 60.2% VPD: 1.16 kPa March 11, 2024 Nothing going on today at all. No light changes. No environmental changes. They got 250 ml feed today. I kinda wish these leaves were darker. Hopefully the extra boost of nitrogen does the trick. No clue why they aren't dark green. Don't get me wrong, the green is beautiful and definitely acceptable. But I feel they can do better. They are reaching a tiny bit. I'll definitely have to raise the light tomorrow. I may check later today and see what the intensity looks like. Again, today I may also add more water. The bottom of the containers are moist, but the outside of the container is still pretty dry. I need the WHOLE container to be moist. Next week I'll start doing a liter every couple of days, or as needed. I don't expect them to start taking down water a lot yet. So the liter should do it next week. Update: I didn't end up watering or changing the light. The soil moisture has been hovering around 35% which should be fine. I will water 500 ml in tomorrow. As for the lighting, nothing to change. It's just above 550 ppfd. I may have to raise it tomorrow. What I did end up doing was rotating the plants. Now Banana Purple Punch A is in the front with B in the back. Banana Purple Punch A is slightly taller than B, and like the Tropicana Cookies I'm running with these, the one in the back is taller. The hope is to increase plant height in Banana Purple Punch B and allow A to grow as she is. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.8° RH: 58.6% VPD: 1.19 kPa March 12, 2024 Not much going on today. I'll be watering later on. I've noticed that the containers are drying out much quicker than I thought. So for a test, I'll be watering in another 500 ml today and another 500 tomorrow. The bottoms of the containers are moist, but the pots are light. Well, light enough for me to question. I am definitely activating the bottom feed system next week. Lighting is still fine. I may also raise it up later today. Just not right now. They are growing and happily, so I'm not messing with it until later when they get a tiny bit taller. Which should be by the end of the day. They are growing fairly rapidly now, so the light may need to stay. As for the environment, it looks great. Night temps are 68° to 70° with day temps hovering at that 77° mark. Humidity is also looking great. Staying solid at 58%. So it's all good. The plants are also looking fantastic. They aren't as big as I had hoped at this age, but they are bushy and dark green. Very healthy. Plus, from what I understand from this strain, they don't grow super tall. So let's hope for some huge flowering stretch. They are at 5 nodes now. Branches are starting to really grow and are nearly cautious up to the top of the plants. Banana Purple Punch A is slightly taller still, but I'm also thinking this is a sativa dominant phenome. A bit slower to grow nodes. However, the internodal spacing is longer than Banana Purple Punch B. Not by much, but the structure is different, so not as bushy but they share the same leaf structure. We'll see what happens. Update: I decided to only water in 250 ml instead of thee 500 ml. The reason being is that the moisture seems to be all over the container. Top to bottom. I'd also like to note that Banana Purple Punch A is already showing roots on the bottom. However, Banana Purple Punch B isn't showing any signs of roots showing. I'm wondering what the deal is. Maybe the fact that A is a different phenome. I'll have to keep an eye and document. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.8° RH: 59.1% VPD: 1.18 kPa March 13, 2024 Both ladies got some leaf tucking today. I can't bend them yet, but very soon. They grew about a half inch last night, so tie downs will be installed soon. I also lifted the light an inch today. The DLI is spot on now. They got their watering today. 250 ml first and another 250 ml later this afternoon. I will load up a liter next week and activate the bottom feed system. Both ladies look great. They have beautiful colors and sturdy branches. They are also starting to put off that classic weed odor. It smells great and I can only imagine how much stronger they will get in the coming weeks. Update: I only had about 750 ml left, so each plant got 175 ml for this afternoon. It's fine. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.3° RH: 60.0% VPD: 1.13 kPa March 14, 2024 Today is the last day of week 3 in Veg. There's some white hairs coming out already. It looks like pre-flower has begun. That being said, I started training today. Just a little bend at the very top. The tucking was also a success. The side branches are nearly level with the top now. The bends I did will certainly help both plants take off. Banana Purple Punch A was a bit easier because of the open canopy. She looks really good. 5 nodes and big lush leaves. Banana Purple Punch B is super dense already. Tight nodes and huge fat green leaves. She looks absolutely beautiful. So just a little bend was all that was needed. The leaf tucking produced excellent results. She will definitely be a bushy plant. No watering today. I figure if I'm watering to runoff tomorrow, it makes sense to let the soil dry out a bit and soak it just before activating the bottom feed system. No change in lighting today as I'll be changing that tomorrow. The environment is still on point. The temp was a little low last night so it's offsetting the average VPD and temp for the day. No matter, the temps will be back up in no time. As for the rest, roots are showing and they are ready for the bottoms feed system. From then on, I won't be top watering unless absolutely necessary. March 15, 2024 Day 29 I didn't end up doing a lot today. I watered in a full liter of the new nutrient regimen per plant. They seem to have taken well to it. No signs of stress yet. Took some pictures and measured the plants. I forgot to measure the light distance, which I will do at some point today. I also didn't activate the bottom feed system today. I'll do that tomorrow morning. I wanted to see if there was any stress. Nothing, so tomorrow it is. So over the last week, I had to start training and the plants grew a good 5" through the week. They are about 8" tall now, after the training, which I might add went swimmingly. The side branches took off immediately and I'll be tying those down in the next day or 2. They are both a lush green color with Banana Purple Punch B being super tight. It will definitely need a defoliation. Banana Purple Punch A is really different in stature. Not so compact, but the same leaf structure. So far I'm happy with this run. The environment is still doing quite well. I will keep the temps around 77° and the humidity down a bit lower to around 55%, if I can get it there. I'll update lighting tomorrow. Currently the PAR is 550 ppfd. However, they aren't out of veg yet. I may keep the lights as they are for the time being. Maybe til the middle of the week and then I'll increase the DLI to around 40 mol/m²/d for the rest of the week. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.7° RH: 60.9% VPD: 1.08 kPa March 16, 2024 Today was a busy day. Finished up everything I didn't do yesterday. Both plants got their bottom feed system activated. The roots aren't quite out far enough, but that should t be a problem. The containers should start absorbing through the wicks in no time. Then the concentration of water will be on the bottom half bringing the roots all the way down and spread out. It should be quite successful. They also got fully trained. All taller branches tied down. The tops were readjusted a smidge. But the main branches were tied down. Banana Purple Punch B is still really bushy and compact. Training helped quite a bit, but there still massive leaves and short nodes. Banana Purple Punch A is perfect. She has beautiful internodal spacing that helped keep the canopy opened and ready to fill in. Her leaves are massive, but were easily moved around. Both plants have beautiful colors and are the same height. So far so good. Let's hope I can keep up through the stretch. The lighting is staying the same for now. The distance is now 24" and the PAR is 600 ppfd. I may peek at 80% power today to see what the reading is. If it's around 650, I'll keep it there. If higher, I'll drop it back down. Then I'll increase it next week. Next week should be pre-flower or at some point this week. The environment is also good. It's been a bit cold the past couple of days, so the temp is hovering around 75° instead of 77° and the humidity is a little high at 61%. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.3° RH: 59.9% VPD: 1.09 kPa March 17, 2024 Not much to do today. The bottom feeding systems are running perfectly. The soil moisture level is now at 30% and that's where I'm keeping it for now. I made 2 training adjustments today on Banana Purple Punch A just a couple branches pulled back down. However, Banana Purple Punch B is too bushy already. I'm going to have to defoliate in a couple days I think. Also, the main top tie down was useless. The plant just grew more and completely knocked off the tie down. I can't do it again for now. Not until there's a bit of stretch. However, the side branches I pulled down are looking good, but still super dense. I'll most likely cut the main stalk fan leaves off. That should do the trick. The light was raised 2" today. Hopefully it helps with praying. There isn't any and I'm wondering if the light needs to be brighter. It's kind of counterintuitive, but if the lack of light doesn't induce praying, then maybe it's not bright enough. The sweet spot needs to be somewhere for this strain. I'll figure it out. Other than that, some pictures today and monitoring the water intake. Update: I decided to increase the power to 80%. That should help with the temp and humidity. The DLI is 41.5 mol/m²/d. This should be perfect for this stage in the grow. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.0° RH: 59.2% VPD: 1.14 kPa March 18, 2024 Looking great today! The bottom feed systems are fully active and the soil moisture is at 36% throughout. It's a tiny bit wetter on the bottom where the feed system is, but nothing crazy. There's about a half gallon left from the initial activation. That should last the rest of the week. Then I can add new water and nutes. Because this is a bottom feed system and the soil is more like coco coir, I will have to run a constant feeding regimen. Maybe every few waterings I'll run a half gallon of plain PHed water to 6.0. everything else with watering is fantastic. I couldn't ask for a better outcome with the startup. The ending result is a nice crust on the top soil to help lock moisture in and prevent bugs from laying eggs. Both ladies got a full training adjustment. As well as a few branches that finally got long enough to tie down. Banana Purple Punch A is looking great! The main top is doubled over like a horseshoe. But no breaks or anything. Banana Purple Punch B is also looking great. Super lunch full leaves. Still extremely short nodes, but I can deal with that in a week or so when I defoliate. These two plants are very different. Definitely different phenomes where Banana Purple Punch A is more on the hybrid side while Banana Purple Punch B is definitely a solid indica. We'll see what happens in the end. I feel I'm going to have to train Banana Purple Punch B differently. The top won't stay down, so I'm either going to top it or just defoliate and tie down the branches for light and air circulation. Hopefully because of her tight stature, she won't stretch past the other plants in the tent and the canopy stays level. We shall see. Lighting is spot on with the plants praying slightly. I guess my theory made sense. It's not the lack of light that causes praying, not too much light. I now understand the "sweet spot". I'll have to ensure it stays in the sweet spot for the rest of the grow. It should with my lighting schedule. The environment is finally adjusting back to normal, with the temp being around 76° and the humidity at 56%. Nothing to complain about here. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.8° RH: 59.8 VPD: 1.16 kPa March 19, 2024 Not much going on today. I did some minor adjustments to the plants tied downs. Rotated them slightly for a better fit in the tent. I also separated the basins and now they are in their own quadrants. No sense in watering today. The basins are still about 1/4 full. They will definitely need to be refilled in a couple days. Perfect timing. The plants themselves are looking great. Banana Purple Punch A has a bit of nitrogen toxicity. I'll have to drop the nutrients down next refill a bit. Maybe 10 ml instead of 12 ml. Banana Purple Punch B is still super bushy and tight. I might have to top her if she takes off and starts getting taller than the other plants in the canopy. I did make adjustments to the tie downs and pulled two top branches down. The plant is seriously compact, but the same size as her sister plant. When she takes off, I will be expecting a robust and strong plant. Also, I'd like to mention the stem is super thick on both plants, especially with Banana Purple Punch B. Very promising for a heavy yield. So based on my last run, if everything goes as it's going currently, I should expect 36" plants. At that size and the density this strain has, I may be expecting a good 9 oz from each plant. Unless I can get slightly bigger plants, then maybe 12 oz. Who knows. My last grow had one plant yield 21.5 oz. This run is better so far in every aspect. No accidents with topping or light issues, or environmental factors. Feeding has been really good. With the current exception having a slight nitrogen toxicity, which I will fix ASAP. Lighting is looking great! I may have to raise it an inch or so later today, if not tomorrow. I'll leave it at this power level for the next couple weeks until we are in full swing flower, then I'll increase the power again and adjust accordingly. I may not even get to 100% power. Wouldn't that be nice. The environment is looking really good. The temp is around 76° and the humidity is at a solid 57% during the day. Maybe even perfect for this week in the grow. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.8° RH: 56.5% VPD: 1.21 kPa March 20, 2024 Today was a bit busy. So far I tied down some new branches that were finally long enough to tie down. Only on Banana Purple Punch A. She needed adjustments for the whole plant. Very happy with the growth so far. Banana Purple Punch B had her branches adjusted, but now I'm really concerned with her taking off and getting taller than the rest of the canopy. I'm thinking she needs to be topped. Just in case. I may ask a question and see what the community thinks. Roots aren't showing totally yet, so I can only imagine what the root balls look like. Maybe they will get big, following big plants. Banana Purple Punch B hasn't shown any roots yet, but I expect roots to pop out any day now. We aren't in pre-flower yet, so there's still plenty of room to grow and plenty of time for me to shape my ladies. So far, the way things are going promises a bountiful yield and a full tent. The reservoirs are nearly empty. Banana Purple Punch A is actually at the bottom and just about dried up. This time around, I can let the basins dry out. In regards to nutrients, funnily enough, Banana Purple Punch A has nitrogen toxicity. It's definitely from the huge boost in nutrients. I'll drop the nutes back down to around 8 ml instead of 12 ml. This next watering will have to be with Cal/Mag. Just to get rid of the toxicity. Then back to 8 ml of base nutrients. As for lighting, I raised the light an inch to keep it at 24" from the canopy. The PAR is around 625 ppfd. I don't need to increase the power level yet, but soon I think. The environment is back to being spot on. The temp is back around 76° to 77° and the humidity is hovering around 56%. The VPD is right where it needs to be. I'm quite happy. Update: I decided to try tying down the top of Banana Purple Punch B one last time. If it doesn't take and it's standing straight up tomorrow, I'll have to top her. It should take this time. The bend is a perfect 90 degree angle. And this time I made sure to secure the tie straight down and tied it to a side branch. The side branches are super thick, so it will definitely hold. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.7° RH: 56.6% VPD: 1.20 kPa March 21, 2024 Not much going on today. Both basins were refilled today with 10 ml instead of 12 ml. I probably should have run the plain water as I originally thought, but then I don't want to lose out on precious nutrients. The nitrogen toxicity should go away. Hell, it might even go away when the plant gets bigger. Speaking of getting bigger, they are taking off now. Banana Purple Punch A is kind of a tangled mess. It's beautiful. Great color huge leaves. Some 7 finger leaves coming out. The training is working quite well with the side branches sticking out past the boundaries of the container by a good few inches all around. Banana Purple Punch B is the most well rounded plant in shape and structure. The top tie down took swimmingly. A perfect 90° bend. Each branch has its own space. Because the plants is so compact, this was the only way I could train her. The difference is that I like to tie down the whole plant at first. This plant was a no go, so it has quite a uniform shape going on. Still it's different. So the plant will turn out different than her sister plant. The light needed to be raised a half inches today. Just to get that DLI at 40 mol/m²/d. Tomorrow I'll probably increase the power to 90%. The goal is to bring the DLI to 42 mol/m²/d and gradually let the plants grow into a DLI of 45 mol/m²/d. I will try to keep the light at 24" for the whole grow. As I said weeks ago, I'll go as low as 22", but any lower than that and my footprint gets too small. I may have to increase the power to 100% in 2 weeks. And keep the light at 24" or higher. Unless of course I run out of height space, then I have to remove the exhaust fan and left the light to the ceiling of the tent.etd hope it doesn't get to that point. Plants that tall are really difficult to manage in a 3x3 tent. The environment. The effing environment. It's freezing today. Around 21° f. My room has trouble getting over 72° in turn the temp of the tent is suffering at 74°. However, the humidity is still great at 56% to 57% all day. Sometimes it pops up to 58%, but that will change when it gets warmer and I can get my heater to work properly. I like to keep the bedroom at 74° during the day, so the tent hovers around 76° to 77°. Hopefully it will fix in a day or two. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.0° RH: 56.3% VPD: 1.18 kPa

I have a full tent of plants with level trained canopies. I couldn't get Banana Purple Punch B to bend at the top, so I just tied down the side branches. However, I'm afraid of her growing taller than the rest of the canopy. Should I top her?

Google how to super crop and it will give you info on what to do for a HST method that is not topping. I LST the shit out of my plants and I almost always snap a brand by mistake, they seem to heal and do fine once they are back to normal.

March 22, 2024 Day 36 This week we are dialing in the light height and power level, as well as nutrient regimen. Training is the top priority during this last week or so of the veg stage. Everything else goes hand in hand. Banana Purple Punch A is suffering from nitrogen toxicity, so the nutrients need to be dropped from 12 ml to 10 ml after I dilute the current regimen with 8 ml cal/mag water. I have to wait another day or so before diluting the basins as they are nearly full still. She also had some of the top side branches pulled down. The top is pointing down and has been for the last day while the side branches are doing exactly what they are supposed to do. They are growing into an even level canopy with the top being just below them. This is exactly what the plant should be doing. Very happy with this outcome. The top on Banana Purple Punch B finally stayed down for the most part. It's reaching back up again, so I trained it back down. If the side branches don't start to reach, I'll have to top her. I'll give her a couple more days to see what happens. What's weird is that she isn't suffering from nitrogen toxicity while having the exact same nutrient regimen as her sister plant. She also seems to be drinking a bit slower than Banana Purple Punch A. I think it has to do with the different phenome. The soil seems to be just as wet, but the bottom of the container isn't as wet as the other plant. The reservoir is also nearly full where the other is about 3/4 full. Not much difference, but enough to notice. The side branches are all level with each other with the top being about an inch taller. Don't get me wrong, she is beautiful and most likely will have the best structure of the 2 plants. I'll also be taking off the massive fan leaves on the stem in the next day or so. Even maybe this afternoon. I'm just concerned about the nitrogen toxicity. Is it enough to cause too much stress, or is it fine while I work on diluting the excess nitrogen out? I might just do it anyway and see what happens. As I've said before, I plan to do everything the exact same, but I'm starting to think these two need to be treated slightly differently. Like the possibility of having to top Banana Purple Punch B, or the nutrient intake difference between the two. The light power is now at 90% with the height staying at 24". I need to measure the height of the plants, but I'm guessing they are about 10" with training underway. I don't really expect them to grow too much taller until the flowering stretch. Until then, I'll continue to train them down. It's still snowing and freezing out, and the tent is still suffering from it. The temp went all the way down to 66° last night and won't climb over 75° today. I have the heater set to 78° and it's keeping the room at 75°, but the tent is still under 75°. It makes no sense. The humidity is kind of high as well. It is stuck at 57% to 58%. It's not high necessarily, but it's higher than what I want. I might put in my dehumidifier to help with the temp mostly and the humidity should drop just a bit. I'll see how it goes for the day. Grow System Environment: Temp: 72.4° RH: 56.5% VPD: 1.16 kPa March 23, 2024 A bit to do today. I was going to water, but the reservoir for Banana Purple Punch B is still half full. However, the reservoir for Banana Purple Punch A is nearly empty. I definitely believe it has to do with the phenotype. Gonna have to focus on each plant separately from now on. I'll refill Banana Purple Punch A tomorrow when the reservoir is almost dry. Trimming finally happened today as well. I removed all the main stem leaves. That's it and there is tons of open space now to fill in. Banana Purple Punch A looks awesome now and had a couple adjustments done. A perfectly level canopy. Banana Purple Punch B looks great as well. She opened up quite nicely. However, she is still a tiny bit bushy. No reason in removing more yet. The light was adjusted today. The DLI is sitting perfect at 42 mol/m²/d. However the light is at 26" now. To be honest, I'm happy with the footprint. Excellent coverage wall to wall. The environment looks pretty good today. 75° and climbing up to 76° to 77° by the middle of the day. The humidity is also pretty good hanging out between 57% and 58%. The real concern is still the night temperature. Last night it was down to 64° because it's that cold out. Other than that, they grew about a half inch last night. Not much upward growth, but that's the goal. Lots of outward growth though. Grow System Environment: Temp: 72.6° RH: 57.0% VPD: 1.15 kPa March 24, 2024 What a day. Both ladies were massively trained. The branches on Banana Purple Punch A were sticking too far out, soni rounded them back in around the rim of the container. Suffice it to say, the tent is completely full. The training opened up tons of light space. Auxiliary branches were tied down as well. Banana Purple Punch B didn't need as much training, but I did get the top to pull down again. The side branches are still pretty tight. They are definitely over the container rim, but not as much as her sister plant. So not a ton to do today. It will take off soon during the flowering stretch and then training will be needed. Speaking of full tents, I'll be adding the trellis in a week. I think I'm gonna need it. I also learned how to super crop, so I can use that technique if need be. However, I'm not much of a fan with the trellis. My last harvest had the trellis stuck inside the plant until after drying and I could cut the plant up. Anyway, we shall see what happens. Both reservoirs got a half gallon of 8 ml Cal/Mag. That should reset the nutrient intake so I can start the 10 ml dose next watering. Differences between the two plants are pretty obvious. From the plant structure to even the roots. Banana Purple Punch B has no roots showing while her sister plant is showing roots now. Both plants are super strong and will do quite well. I wonder if the buds will be structured differently as well. I didn't need to move the light today after I trained the plants down. It's still at 42 mol/m²/d. Based on their current growth and the health of these plants, I'm expecting them to grow up to 3 ft. At least that is the hope. I'll take 4 ft, but no taller. That's all the tent can handle. I don't expect these to be short based on their growth and hardiness. So at minimum, we can see a couple 2 ft plants. It's 20° f out today. The tent temp is hanging out at 75°. The humidity is a bit high today. Hanging out around 58%. It should drop a bit later on and the temp should increase by mid day. Grow System Environment: Temp: 72.5° RH: 57.3% VPD: 1.14 kPa March 25, 2024 So I know it's the middle of the week, but I forgot to rotate the plants around until today. So I rotated them out. Now Banana Purple Punch A is in the rear quadrant with Banana Purple Punch B back in front. They are still very different. While Banana Purple Punch A is stretching with an open canopy, Banana Purple Punch B is still tight even with the stretch starting. The canopy is already getting dense from the previous light defoliation. I'll definitely have to take more leaves off in the coming weeks. In fact, both of them have massive leaves that will surely be a nuisance in the near future. Both plants are in the flowering stretch now. I thought it was pre-flower last week and I was right. Now they are both flowering and I'll be starting the flowering nutrients next week as scheduled. I didn't move the light again today. The side branches haven't caught up to the very tops yet. The canopy is still level, just need the auxiliary branches and side branches to start stretching. The DLI increased to 43 mol/m²/d, but flowering means a higher DLI. So I'll be increasing that to 45 mol/m²/d at the start of next week. It's only like 3 days, so it should be perfect for the stage the plants are in. I'm still keeping a minimum of 22" to the canopy, but will hold over 24" for as long as I can. As I said yesterday, I believe I can expect 3 ft from these ladies. They have been stretching, but the top branches are also stretching, so they have to be tied down as they get long enough. Speaking of branches, I accidentally half snapped one of the top branches on Banana Purple Punch B. No worries though, I'm not concerned with this. Every snap or partial snap I've had always ends in a better plant. Not to mention it's a side branch and not the top, so we're good. As for watering, both plants are very different. Where Banana Purple Punch A is taking in about a gallon every couple days, Banana Purple Punch B is taking half of that. There still aren't too many roots coming out yet, so that could be the cause of the slow down. As the system works, it only provides water as needed by the soil and plant. So currently , there isn't a reason to flood the soil. According to the plant anyway. The soil is perfectly moist and the plant is perfectly happy. The good part is, when the roots do hit bottom, the plant will really take off. So I can only assume my watering technique worked as I planned. Back to Banana Purple Punch A. Her water intake is fairly impressive, especially at this age. She's still young and has a lot more growing to do. This may be a gallon a day plant in the upcoming weeks. The environment is still a bit off. Temps are still low and the humidity is still high. However, the VPD is in range. It will need to increase by next week, but that shouldn't be a problem with this cold front almost over with and spring fast arriving. Currently the temp is hovering at 73° and the humidity is around 59%. Definitely not ideal, but not much I can do at the moment. I may add my small dehumidifier to the tent to see if that helps. The high humidity is definitely not from an external source. The humidity in my room is down to 22%. So it's not that issue. It's the plants. A great sign. The whole tent is filled wall to wall. So there's a lot of release from the plants. Very good. I still need the temp to climb though. Grow System Environment: Temp: 71.4° RH: 57.2% VPD: 1.10 kPa March 26, 2024 Both ladies needed watering today with Banana Purple Punch A bring dried out and B having a bit of water on the bottom. Definitely drinking much slower than her sister plant. Again, I believe it's the phenotype, so I'm not worried. If it continues, then I may have some concerns, but when the roots start popping out in earnest, the plant will take off and need lots of water. I also made a couple minor adjustments to the canopies of both plants. Nothing really Earth shattering, but at least a note of the day. Oh and I attempted to tuck all the lowest leaves under the plant to make more outer rim space. It kinda worked. I might just cut them off. I removed a few more leaves from Banana Purple Punch B. She's getting super bushy and she definitely needed it. I'll be trimming away as she grows. Very little at a time, but more frequently than normal. Like every 2 days instead of every 4 to 5 days. She's definitely robust enough to handle that technique. I haven't ever actually done a full defoliation before, so I don't know what's better. I hear too much controversy over defoliation on autos, and this seems to work wonders. Hell, I'm pretty sure FastBuds says to trim throughout the grow to keep up with the density of the plant. I don't have anything for Banana Purple Punch A. She's fine and growing. Not the tallest plant in the tent, but also at the same height as 2 others, so I only have 1 plant that's a bit taller. Just the couple adjustments to the canopy. However, her buds are already pronounced and fat. I can definitely tell the buds are going to be super dense. Actually, both plants have the same size buds. They are brand new and big already. Granted, the stretch hasn't started yet, so they may be smaller buds loading up the top with multiple nodes. I dunno. They are big for a few days old. The lighting is still the same. I should also add that I did end up moving the light yesterday. Like an inch up to match 24". I may have to drop the light slightly to keep from going to 100% power. But we shall see. As I've said before, I'll go as low as 22", but that sacrifices the footprint a bit. The environment is driving me crazy. It's not cold out anymore, but I cannot for the life of me get the temp on my room over 70°. Looks like I need a new heater. To combat this issue, I finally added my dehumidifier. Hopefully it's strong enough to clear out some of the humidity and help increase the temp. The environment has been stuck at like 72° and 60% humidity and flowering has begun. I really want it down to 55% now. No idea why it's still so high with the humidity in my room is around 23%. It's super dry. I just checked the environment and the dehumidifier is working somewhat. The temp increased to 76°, which is fine. But the humidity is still kinda high at 57%. It's the VPD I'm really focusing on now. Currently it's hovering around 1.2 kPa. It's better, but I'd rather be closer to 1.28 kPa. We'll get there in the end. The dehumidifier just needs to acclimate the environment. I decided to drop the nutrients back down to 8 ml instead of 10 ml. 8 seems to be fine and I really don't want more nitrogen toxicity. Unfortunately, I ran out of Bud Candy and have to order more, so that will be added next watering. I'll be starting Tasty Terpenes next week. And I start Big Bud next watering as well, I think. Grow System Environment: Temp: 71.6° RH: 57.9% VPD: 1.09 kPa March 27, 2024 Today was trimming day. I did a full defoliation on both plants. Banana Purple Punch B especially needed it. They both got about 15% of the leaves off. The massive ones that is. No small ones. So now there is plenty of space for the auxiliary and side branches to grow and spread out unimpeded by excess foliage. I know there is a lot of controversy in this, but they needed it. Banana Purple Punch A had a little less taken off. Mostly the outer leaves that were pressing in on the other plants in the tent. Some of the inside leaves were blocking precious bud sites. So those had to go. Maybe 4 of those. All in all, I'm quite happy with the outcome. I'll check on them in an hour or so to see how much stress they have undergone. I usually wait for the end or middle of the flowering stretch to start pulling leaves, but this time around I think I got the timing right. Banana Purple Punch B might be a bit ahead in flowering. At least, her buds are huge already. Banana Purple Punch A drinking more than the other plants in the tent. Significantly more. While the other plants are about a third of gallon in, this lady has already taking in about 3/4 gallon of the reservoir. I wonder why that is. The plants are all the same height, but by training only though. The shortest and most matched with canopy height is Banana Purple Punch B. I expect her to take off just like the rest of the plants in the tent. However, she is also the least thirsty. Again, it has to be the phenotype. I just hope this isn't a sign that she will end up short. I might submerge the bottom of the container in the reservoir to better activate the wick system. Theoretically, the container should have already been wet at the bottom before activating. That way the plants and wick system can match up and keep up with each other. I know they can cruise through about 3/4 gallons a day when activated properly. The submersion should help with it. I'll see how things go over the next day or 2. If the rest of the ants in the tent need water by then and she's still slow on the uptake, I'll submerge and reactivate. If not, then we are good to go. I didn't mess with the light again. No need yet anyway. Although, I will check the DLI and height when I check on the plants for stress. Let's hope they took the defoliation like champs. The environment is now back to normal. Somehow the main heat in the house was turned way down. I'm guessing a child. Smh. Anyway, now that it's fixed, the temp is around 80° and the humidity is around 54%. A bit warm, but I'll take it over 73°. The humidity is right where it needs to be. I'll take the dehumidifier out today to help drop the temp to a comfortable 77°. The humidity should also increase to around 56%. Exactly where I want to be right now. In a week, I'll try to keep it below 55%. I may try to drop the temp down to 75° in a couple weeks. Update: I messed with the light. Strangely enough, I had to drop the power down to 80% and ended up with the light being around 25". Now the DLI is at 42 mol/m²/d. I'll look at it again starting next week. I may have to bring the power up again, but I don't think I will for another week at least. Right now, the DLI is perfectly fine. It will help with the ants reaching and spreading those nodes out for the flowering stretch. Grow System Environment: Temp: 76.5° RH: 55.3% VPD: 1.36 kPa March 28, 2024 No training today. I was considering pulling a couple branches down a bit, but everything is level and the plants are the same size. There are some major differences between these two, however. And some notable similarities. The main difference is the internodal spacing where Banana Purple Punch A has decently spaced internodes, while Banana Purple Punch B has extremely tight internodes. It's stretching now, so maybe the spacing will catch up. I'd also like to note that these two plants are seriously flowering now. The other major difference I have noticed is water uptake. Banana Purple Punch A is taking double what Banana Purple Punch B drinks. I had to refill the reservoir as it dried out of Banana Purple Punch A. I also cleaned out the reservoir. Tomorrow, I'll do the same thing for Banana Purple Punch B. I was originally going to wait until tomorrow for both, but I can't let the reservoir dry out completely. There should be significantly less water tomorrow. I'll also have B-52 from Advanced Nutrients. I have Sensizym coming as well. I'll be adding a half dose of B-52 starting tomorrow. I'll add it to Banana Purple Punch A next watering. I didn't move the light at all today. Both plants are happily basking in the light with some perfect praying going on. Nothing to move. The environment is finally back to normal. The temp is between 76° and 77° with the humidity at 55% to 57%. The VPD is where it's at though. Around 1.33 mol/m²/d give or take a few. Right where I want to be. So the plants are looking absolutely stunning. Both have the very same massive leaves of a beautiful green. No stress whatsoever from the defoliation and trained to near perfection. I may move a couple branches here and there as they stretch, but I'm happy with what I have right now. Just enough space in each quadrant for each plant to grow without overwhelming any other plants. As things are looking, I may not need the SCroG net for a bit. The branches are all the same height for now. I may be implementing it if I need to keep the canopy level. Other than that, I'll use it to make sure the branches don't tip over from the buds. I plan on buying some cross bars so I can mount the SCroG net to that. Much more useable training space. Anyway, we shall see how it pans out. March 29, 2024 Day 43 This week will focus on watering and light intensity. Training is done for the most part. At least the structures are on point. Now it's just a matter of keeping the canopy level. So far everything looks great! There's a couple branches on each plant that aren't quite as tall yet, but they are strong. I expect them to grow quickly very soon. The plants are 14" tall now and will definitely be taller by the end. If I'm right, I should get a height of 24" to 36" total. Unless both stunt somehow, but I don't think so. Anyway, just by the health and current growth time and amount, I can expect some robust plants. The buds are going to be super heavy. Just by looking at the bud structure now, tells me I'm going to have to fat dense and sticky weedy do. I changed the lighting as I was scheduled to do today. The light was at 22" from the plants growth. For the week, I reset the light height back to 24" and increased the light power back up to 90%. The DLI is 44 mol/m²/d. PAR should be around 675 ppfd. However, as I said at the beginning of the grow, I focus on DLI over everything else. PAR is fine, I just prefer the DLI. It tells me more I think. As it's a new week, watering needed some maintenance. I cleaned out the other reservoir and filled it up with the new nutrient regimen. That includes the B-52 today and Sensizym next watering for when it gets here. I had to look up a good feeding schedule specifically for autoflowers and advanced nutrients. As the time is all wrong with BudLabs. It's designed for Photoperiods only. So things needed to be adjusted. For example, I'll be starting Big Bud later this week as it calls for week 2 of flower with a photoperiod. But the schedule I found makes more sense and calls for the Big Bud a week earlier. Anyway, it's a good schedule. Just makes sense. The environment will be staying the same this week. 77° and 55%. In the next 2 weeks, I'll drop the temp down to 75° with the humidity at 50%. Then I'll drop it weekly until I get to the final week. I'll drop the temp down to 73° and the humidity down to 40%. 35% if I can manage. However, I'm not all that worried about 40% to 45%. The space is extremely clean and the room itself is really dry. So no worries. So, now that the auxiliary branches are just as tall as the side branches, Banana Purple Punch B has an extremely level canopy. The branches have all caught up to the top and everything is looking great! Banana Purple Punch A is doing the exact same thing. They are both the same height. I wonder if that is the plants keeping up with each other. Like a reaction to the other plants in the tent? Who knows. This is my first completely level canopy for all 4 plants. Very happy so far. As long as none of them take off, we should see a beautiful ocean of fat buds throughout the whole tent. Grow System Environment: Temp: 76.0° RH: 53.8% VPD: 1.38 kPa March 30, 2024 Some notable information today. I'm very curious about this, so if anyone knows what's up, leave me a comment. Thanks! Banana Purple Punch A is taking in way more water than Banana Purple Punch B. I believe now it has to do with the roots. The bottom of the container for Banana Purple Punch A is FILLED with roots, while Banana Purple Punch B doesn't have any roots showing yet except for the bottom outside of the container. I thought the roots would have shown up by now. The thing is though, Banana Purple Punch A is still roughly the same height as the rest of the plants in the tent, but clearly is further along than the rest. Not saying she isn't growing, she is. It's just that she should be stretching like crazy right now and she isn't. The canopy is staying level. I will say that the Tropicana Cookies sharing the tent is slight taller and stretchier. It's ok though, the SCroG net is going up at 18" from the container base. Anyway, it's kind of confusing how these two plants are growing in such a different way, but not any bigger or smaller than the other. Insight please. Lol. Both ladies got a haircut today. Just clearing out the massive leaves that grew and some of the outside leaves to keep them in their own quadrant. It worked wonders. No stress, no issues so far that I can see. I also had to lift the light a couple inches today. The DLI was actually a bit higher than I wanted and it showed last night with one of the plants. A bit droopy before lights out. That tells me there's too much light in that one quadrant. So the light went up to 25" from the canopy. I could drop the power level, but I really like this footprint. Dead center of the tent is around 48 mol/m²/d while the outside is at 43 mol/m²/d. What a spread. Honestly though, I really want a bar style light setup. One for a 4x4 so it fills the whole 3x3 tent. Back to watering. Banana Purple Punch A got a full gallon today. She's drinking a half gallon a day now. I also realized the nutrient schedule I'm using doesn't have the Tasty Terpenes in it. So I started that today as well as the big bud. I also increased the Cal/Mag dose from 4 ml to 8 ml. Big Bud and Tasty Terpenes are both at 4 ml/gal. I also added this week's dose of Recharge. HOWEVER... The PH was Way off. Down to 5.4, so I dosed the shit out of it with PH Up. I got to 6.18 and that's where I stopped. The nutrients are supposed to be PH Perfect, but adding something slammed it down. So I'll start to PH before adding nutrients. Then I hopefully won't have to dump 3 ml of PH Up in a gallon of water. However, I will say the PH in our tap water is ridiculously high at like 8.2, so that may be a factor. But shouldn't the high PH balance out the PH with nutrients? No real clue what happened. It doesn't make sense. It definitely has to be one of the new nutrients. When I do another mix, I'll PH after each nutrient. That way I can see which nutrient is messing up my perfection. I've also read that a PH of 6.5 to 7 is ideal for the flowering stage. Is this correct? If so, how the hell do I get the PH to increase more? Or is my PH meter out of calibration? Damn, things I need to learn. Moving on. The environment is a bit off. The temp is kinda high at 79.5°. However, the humidity is perfect at 55%. Unfortunately the temp is throwing the VPD way off. It's now 1.50 kPa where it should be around 1.33 kPa. I'm trying to fix it, but it takes time. It should be fine by this afternoon. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75.9° RH: 54.5% VPD: 1.35 kPa March 31, 2024 Not much to do today. The plants are doing their thing. Banana Purple Punch A drank about a half gallon from yesterday's reservoir top off. She'll definitely need to be watered tomorrow though. In which case I'll be adding the Sensizym. However, Banana Purple Punch B needs a reservoir refill today. Not first thing, but maybe just after noon. The reservoir is nearly empty, not enough to fill, but enough to be completely dry tomorrow. That can't happen with this system, so I'll have to refill today. I'd also like to note the lack of roots on Banana Purple Punch B. There are none. I'm really confused now. One would think the roots would be through by now. I hope they didn't just stop there. Hopefully I start seeing them in the next couple days. Banana Purple Punch A has roots through everywhere. Honestly, it seems as though growing in my setup with my techniques extends the veg time. That's the only thing I can think of. The lack of roots shows lack of growth. But it's an Indica dominant phenotype. Maybe the root system just takes longer. But she's definitely in flower. Still waiting for the stretch to start, by the way. They are both 14.5" now with yesterday being 14". That's not stretching. I seriously cannot have small and big plants together in this size tent. Maybe if it were a 4x4, it would be fine, but a 3x3 is much smaller... Weirdly enough.... and for 4 plants, there just isn't that type of space. I'll will absolutely implement the SCroG net if things get out of control. I'd rather not use it yet though. I still want to be able to pull them out and clean out the reservoirs and check over each plant thoroughly. At least until I need the net. But really only to keep the tops from falling over. But training has stopped for these ladies. I don't have anymore horizontal space to train them out. But I have plenty of vertical space. Maybe they will only grow to 24" after all. We shall see. Either way, I'm going for quality, so regardless of the size, everything is in order. Maybe they average on the smaller side. Still, they have really packed buds already popping up. They will definitely be super dense. I didn't move the light today. No point. The plants are very happy and reaching slightly. Just a nice little prayer. The environment is really good. Sticking at 55% humidity and the temp has been steady between 76° and 79°. Very nice. The VPD is happy as well. Grow System Environment: Temp: 77.4° RH: 54.6% VPD: 1.43 kPa April 1, 2024 Not much to do today. Banana Purple Punch A got her full gallon top off. I also got the Sensizym in so that went in as well. Also, I need to calibrate my PH meter. It seems to be reading low. Maybe. It's reading 5.4 with PH Perfect Nutrients. I also added a full 1 ml of PH up. It brought it up to 5.49. No idea what's happening. Both plants grew a couple inches last night. Now they are at 16" tall. Let the stretch begin! Banana Purple Punch B is just hanging out. Still not drinking as much as her sister plant, but still very healthy and happy. The roots aren't showing either. Still confused by that. I had to cut a couple leaves off each plant today. Just a bit of overcrowding. Like 2 leaves each. Not much, obviously, but it's still important to notate. And good to keep up with the leaf coverage. I raised the light nearly 2" today. It was too close, and the DLI was close to 50 mol/m²/d with the center being 58 mol/m²/d. Now the DLI is sitting pretty at 45 mol/m²/d with the inside being closer to 50 mol/m²/d. However, I have an advantage. The center of the tent is not filled in totally. I did this on purpose to keep the light intensity fairly even throughout the canopy. (I really need to get a bar style light.) The environment is pretty good today. It's a smidge off. The temp is cooler at 75° with the humidity being closer to 58%. So the VPD is slightly off at 1.20 kPa. It should adjust accordingly in the next few hours as it has been. However, the daily average is right on point. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75.4° RH: 55.2% VPD: 1.31 kPa April 2, 2024 A bit to do today. No watering or anything, but I did some defoliation and raised the light an inch. Banana Purple Punch A got a bit more trimmed off than I had originally intended, but I wasn't off by the mark completely. So it should be all good. She also grew another 2 or so inches and is now a bit taller than her sister plant at 19". Not much, but enough for me to notice. She looks great! Roots galore, beautiful green color. Fat buds and a wonderful aroma. She is 19" and still stretching. Let's see what she turns out to be. Banana Purple Punch B also got a haircut. She definitely needed it. In 2 days, she completely filled back out and needed to be opened up a bit. As I said before, I have stopped training, so if she doesn't catch up, which she may, I'll have to lift her up to the canopy. She's 18" now. An inch or so shorter than Banana Purple Punch A. However, she finally has roots showing throughout the bottom of the container. Nothing crazy, but lots of them popping up. It should be a matter of a couple days and those roots should be pretty long and sucking in water like crazy. Maybe not as much as her sister plant, but much more than she is now. Also, I think she may end up being a much more robust plant than her Banana Purple Punch A. The roots took longer to hit bottom and that may mean the root ball is already massive. That being said, I can hopefully expect her to take off and catch up to the rest of the occupants in the tent. Like she's setting up to stretch. The light definitely needed to be raised again. It was all the way down to 22". I may raise it again if I don't see praying. Anyway, I dropped the DLI back down to roughly 45 mol/m²/d. It should be good now. But may be a tiny bit too high. I'll see what happens in the next couple hours. The environment is pretty good today with the temp hovering around 76° and the humidity at 55%. The average for the day looks great as well. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.2° RH: 58.2% VPD: 1.18 kPa April 3, 2024 Today has been enlightening. The plants weren't reaching this morning. That meant the light was too close. So I lifted it up AGAIN. I'm running out of space between the light and the exhaust fan. I still have a good 6" or so left. I can also lower the power level if need be. Both ladies got reservoir refills today. Banana Purple Punch A was still a out half full, but Banana Purple Punch B was empty. So now that they are the same level and seem to be drinking roughly the same amount now, they should drink evenly now. Banana Purple Punch A is about 21" with Banana Purple Punch B slightly behind at 20". Either way, they are growing quite nicely. The stretch is in full swing now. I may have to put the SCroG up afterall. Some of the tops in the canopy are starting to take off. I'll install it tomorrow when my side bar support gets here. The lighting, as I said, needed to be raised up again. The DLI was up to 50 mol/m²/d and now I have it back down to 45 mol/m²/d. I also have the light distance just above to 24". Should be good for now. The environment is a bit off today. It's raining and the humidity is a bit high even with the dehumidifier on. The humidity is stuck around 59% with the temp staying around 75°. Hopefully it adjusts in the next couple hours. I may have to turn my main dehumidifier on. It doesn't work the best, but it should be fine. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75.6° RH: 56.2% VPD: 1.29 kPa April 4, 2024 Not a lot going on today. I got my side bars in and mounted the SCroG net. Some of the tops are noticably taller than the others, so they needed to be taken care of. No watering today. The reservoirs still have water in them. They might not need water tomorrow. I'll see how things go. I didn't move the light today as I am pushing the tops down some. I may have to turn the power down a bit if they stretch as tall as I hope, but that would be a good thing. I'll just make sure to use the supplemental lighting I have for the tent. The environment is actually pretty good today. The temp is 76° and the humidity is at 55%. The VPD is basically perfect at 1.33 kPa. So everything looks pretty good from here. I'll start dropping the humidity down more in a week or so. Just after the stretch. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75.5° RH: 54.8% VPD: 1.33 kPa

April 5, 2024 Day 50 This week is a major focus on Scrogging. The net has been installed and I've set it at 19" from the soil. Watering is also a thing as well. Lighting changed and will need a heavy focus as well. Plant differences are showing more now. Finally, the environment will be tweaked a bit. Banana Purple Punch A looks great! She had 4 tops that were over the net. They have been pulled down. She also got a few leaves cut off today. As the strain goes, keeping up is important. The majority of the tops are still below the net, but just barely. I'd say about 18" there. I'm expecting a good sized plant out of this one. Banana Purple Punch B on the other hand is shorter and slower. Don't get me wrong, she has the best bud structure of the two and has the thickest branches, but she is shorter. About 17" for the main canopy with a few tops reaching just 19". Nothing to be done currently. If she doesn't start to grow, I'll have to lift her up to keep her level with the rest of the canopy. Although, she still has some stretching to do. Maybe a few more inches? Who knows, she went into flower second, so she is a touch behind. When Banana Purple Punch A stops growing, hopefully Banana Purple Punch B will continue for a couple extra days. I will say that I have a feeling she will be the first to finish up. I will also add that she is covered in buds, top to bottom. There may be a couple popcorn buds along the way and I'll do my best to clear them out before she's done stretching. I'll do the same with Banana Purple Punch A, but she doesn't seem to have much, so it should be a quick snip. I'll check back tomorrow to see if there is any development. She got some leaves cut off. Maybe 10 total. Just ones that were squished against the tent walls and a couple that were overshadowing multiple bud sites. The nutrients are changing slightly. I'm taking out Big Bud and replacing it with 8 ml Overdrive for the next 2 weeks. I'm also increasing Bud Candy to 8 ml/gal per the schedule I'm following. Finally I'm removing the Sensizym as the schedule says. I'm leaving the Tasty Terpenes in for the rest of the grow until flush week. So next watering, I'll be making those changes. Banana Purple Punch A needed a top off today from the rest of the gallon I mixed up. She'll definitely need another top off tomorrow morning. Banana Purple Punch B should also need a top off tomorrow. We shall see. I might just top her off anyway and maybe she will catch up with the thirst. Lighting was also adjusted. After installing the SCroG net at 19", I needed to drop the light 1.5". That's a good sign. I have a couple extra inches to work with if they get too tall. I'm not seeing that happening though. I'm thinking 24" plants. With Banana Purple Punch B being slightly shorter at 22". That's my guess anyway. The DLI also adjusted back to 45 mol/m²/d. Of course, it should stay there while I SCroG the canopy for the next week. That should be all I need to get the canopy level again. So the light will stay there at 80% power until it needs to move again. Hell, I may have to drop the power down a bit if I run out of space. The environment is happy at 75° and 55% humidity today. The VPD is roughly 1.27 kPa. I'll be adjusting it a bit as well. The temp will stay the same around 77° with the humidity dropping down to 50%, if I can pull it off. I do struggle a bit with the environment in my grows. This most likely won't be any different. But the strain is pretty robust and the air flow is spectacular. I have 2 oscillating clip fans on opposite sides of the tent. So there's always airflow. Just a very light breeze. The dehumidifier is doing some of the work, but not a whole lot. The 4 plants in the tent with a full canopy of leaves makes for a lot of water vapor. Maybe after the stretch is done and I do a final defoliation, I can get the humidity down below 50%. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75.2° RH: 54.3% VPD: 1.32 kPa April 6, 2024 Watering day for both ladies. They were both at the same water level. Looks like I managed to level them out for now. I've also decided to switch back to last week's nutrient schedule. It's only week 2 of flower, so Overdrive is a bit early. I'll start it next week or the week after. Most likely next week. I'm not sure how long the flowering stage is for this strain. Should be 4 or 5 weeks, but in my experience, most autoflowers take about 6 weeks to finish up flowering. That being said, I need to deviate from the schedule I'm using a bit by a week or 2. From what I'm seeing in the schedule, it's based on 8 weeks. With 3 weeks of veg from what I understand. These ladies went through 5 weeks of veg and will need an extra week or 2 of flower. So adding the extra week of Big Bud instead of Overdrive makes the most sense. I did leave the Bud Candy at 8 ml/gal. And I'm also leaving the Sensizym in for this week. Apparently it's supposed to only go through the first couple weeks of flower. So this week is week 2 of flower. Sensizym is still in play. Banana Purple Punch A needed a couple tops pulled down today. She's looking great! No need to defoliate... Yet anyway. Great internodal spacing and big buds coming up all over. There wasn't much in side branching with this lady. So there aren't tons of tops, but lots and lots of bud sites. I didn't check the roots today. They are all over the place. I'll check tomorrow just to make sure there's no root rot or anything slimy. Banana Purple Punch B grew one top last night that is now touching the net. The rest grew about a half inch. As I said, this plant is staying pretty short and compact like an indica does. It's still only the second week of flower, so she could definitely take off. I'm not expecting too much taller, but what she lacks in height she makes up in bud sites. They are everywhere. She also has more branches than her sister plant. At least that's what it looks like. But the buds... Oh the buds. Seriously looking good. Big chunky bud sites. Lots of pistils. I can definitely tell she's going to have some super dense buds and should cover the whole plant from top to bottom. I did check the roots today. She still isn't showing any signs or roots through the bottom of the container. I'm not sure what happened there. Maybe they will start showing more now that the reservoir is nearly over full. I just need some extra moisture on the bottom of the container. Hell, I might dip the whole container in the reservoir to soak up some of the water. That should spark the roots to grow more. Of course, I can't complain about this plant at all. Her trunk is massive and her branches are thick and sturdy. If there was a plant that didn't need a net, it's this one. I'll raise her up after the stretch, unless the other plants takes off even more. The main difference between the two is that this plant has a much more level canopy while her sister plant is a bit uneven. Definitely has some tops that need to grow more and catch up. They are just barely below the net which is pretty level with Banana Purple Punch B. The lighting need not be changed again today. The plants still haven't gone past the 19" net yet. Again, I'll change the light around when need be. Once the rest of the canopy catches up to the rest, I'll allow them to grow past the net then. The environment looks pretty good. The temp is spot on for where I want her just about 76° with the humidity being a tiny bit high at 56.5%. The VPD however is still within range near to perfection at 1.30 kPa. Update: I ended up snipping some leaves from both ladies. There were a few massive ones that were covering multiple bud sites. There were a few others in the lower part of the canopy that were blocking the lower bud sites. Now there's a good amount of leaf coverage. Grow System Environment: Temp: 76.3° RH: 54.6% VPD: 1.36 kPa April 7, 2024 Not much going on today. No watering needed and no branches to pull down under the net. Banana Purple Punch A has a couple tops climbing over the net again. Nothing tall enough to pull down, but getting there. She's looking great as well. Very healthy and strong branches. I do have one concern. There are a couple tops that have orange tipped pistils, like there's still pollen from the last grow in the tent. Either way, I'll have to keep a very close eye on those couple tops. One is covered in orange tipped pistils, with a couple having some just on one side. I'm wondering if it happens when accidentally touched. It's the only plant that has those, and I may have accidentally touched, or something, the buds. I really hope she doesn't get seeds. If so, they will be a different strain. Gorilla Cookies and Banana Purple Punch. Anyway, her watering seems to be the same as her sister plant now, so that's good. I am now a bit concerned with Banana Purple Punch B. It looks like she never got to stretch. So I need to lift her up to match the rest of the canopy. Not big deal, but I was hoping for a level canopy without having to do such things. Either way, she still looks fantastic. Super healthy and strong. I'm still expecting some great bud out of this lady. Again, I haven't touched the light. It's perfect where it is. The environment is now on point. The temp is 77° with the humidity being 55%. The DLI is a tiny bit high for this age. 1.41 kPa. It's within range, and actually will be close to perfect next week, but this week I still want it around 1.35 kPa. Update: As I had to yesterday, today I was further observing the plants and found more leaves covering bud sites. Mostly on Banana Purple Punch B. Due to her tight nodes and compact structure, her leaf coverage isn't quite as open as her sister plant. So there were more bud sites being covered by overlapping leaves. So I snipped away the over lapping leaves. There were more than I expected. I must have missed more than I thought yesterday and then of course some grew and needed to be cut. I also tucked a few of them so not to go overboard with the snipping. Banana Purple Punch A has a much more open canopy with excellent leaf coverage. But some were definitely overlapping and had to be removed. It was just a few though, so nothing to write home about... But important in a detailed diary. 😉. Second Update: I decided to lift Banana Purple Punch B to be level with the canopy. It looks great now! Nice and level throughout the whole tent. Wall to wall with a sea of buds. And more coming in. Grow System Environment: Temp: 76.1° RH: 54.4% VPD: 1.36 kPa April 8, 2024 Not much going on today. I took a couple leaves off that were mixing and overlapping with other leaves. Both plants were also pressing up against each other, so I maneuvered Banana Purple Punch B to a better position. Also, lifting Banana Purple Punch B up the 2 inches worked absolute wonders. Perfectly level with the rest of the canopy and climbing just as well too. Nearly all of Banana Purple Punch A tops are above the net. Everything looks fantastic. Watering need not be done today. They still have about 2/3 left to go. So maybe another 2 days? Tomorrow maybe for Banana Purple Punch A. We shall see. With the plants breaking past the net I raised the light today and had to drop the intensity down to 80%. For some reason the DLI was pretty high at 50 mol/m²/d even with the light at 24" it was too bright. So I lifted it a bit more and dropped that power down. Now everything is back to normal at 45 mol/m²/d. That should help a little bit with the final stretch. I like to see the plants reaching slightly. It tells me the light is right where it needs to be. The environment is still doing great! It's been around 76° for the last 7 hours and the humidity is bouncing between 54% and 56%. So that's great! The VPD is great as well. Around 1.33 kPa. The daily average is great as well! See below. Update: The light is perfect. The plants are reaching ever so slightly. Just wonderful. I also found some clusters of dense foliage, so I cleaned it up a bit. Just got rid of a couple of the middle leaves. The lowers don't need to be clipped. They are still getting enough light to absorb. Grow System Environment: Temp: 76.5° RH: 53.9% VPD: 1.42 kPa April 9, 2024 Nothing to do today except watering. Both ladies got a full reservoir refill with Banana Purple Punch B almost overflowing. However, they are very close in intake now. Banana Purple Punch A continues to stretch with vibrant color and beautiful leaves. She's definitely going to produce some quality bud, that's for sure. As long as no issues arise, everything should turn out wonderfully. Banana Purple Punch B has a couple tops reaching pretty high. The issue here is how stiff and thick the branches are. There's still a lot of tops that are under the net. But just barely. It honestly looks like she is just about done with the stretch. Happily, I have her at the same height as the rest of the tent and she will get all the light she needs for the next 3 weeks or so. Regardless of height, she is super healthy and happy. Trichomes are starting to really show and the aroma is amazing. Not super strong yet, but I'll be expecting it to get stronger as the buds fatten up and trichomes really start showing. I also snipped a couple more leaves off. 2 from a cluster and 3 from some overlapping leaves. That's for both plants. Barely anything, but I feel it's important to keep the tops clear and open from any unnecessary foliage. The leaves are still growing so I expect clusters in other areas as well as overlapping in different spots. Definitely gonna have to keep up with it. So far it's going quite well. I didn't look at the light today. There are a few tops over the net, but not high enough to justify raising the light for now. I have about 4" left of space between the light and the exhaust fan and filter. I may have to remove the fan and install it on top of the tent like I ended up doing from my last grow. The environment is looking great as always. It's a beautiful day out and it's definitely showing in the tent. The temp is around 75° with the humidity hovering around 51%. It's perfect and the VPD could stand to be a bit higher now. Just around 1.40 kPa. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.7° RH: 50.3% VPD: 1.42 kPa April 10, 2024 Not much today. A couple leaves, raised the light. That's about it. So there were a couple really big leaves on the tallest cola of Banana Purple Punch B. They were practically overshadowing half the plant and some of another plant in the tent. Those had to go. I think I took off one more, but I don't remember. Lol. Anywho, I completely left Banana Purple Punch A alone. Nothing to snip and no overshadowing leaves. I might check them out later to see what I missed. I always find something later in the day. Banana Purple Punch A looks great. Her structure is kind of like a donut. There aren't any tops in the center of the plant. It has to be the way I ended up training this plant. I always pull the branches out away from the center. This time around, I'm not sure there was a whole bunch of auxiliary branches. Just strong thick branches with heavy buds on them from top to bottom. She's in great shape! Plus the center missing colas, it gives much more light in the bottom of the canopy without having to cut more leaves off. I'm very interested to see the outcome of this one. Her tops are a little mixed. All of them are at the net, but there's a few that are starting to tower over the others. Even with the net in place, I can't bend these ones down without potentially snapping the thick branches. They aren't more than 2" taller, but they are still quite tall for the size of the plant. Banana Purple Punch B on the other hand has plenty of central colas and outer colas. Her training was different due to her compact size and super thick branches. I should mention that she has almost all of her tops reaching over the net now. I knew she would start to push more. Let's hope for a couple more inches. She has tons of bud sites all up and down her branches. So I'm not too worried about the yield. It should be pretty good. I raised the light an inch today maintaining the DLI of 45 mol/m²/d and keeping the footprint the same as always. I'm wondering now if I should let the footprint shrink a bit to concentrate the intensity further in the canopy. Shouldn't be an issue with their height. I'd also like to mention I haven't removed any branches or auxiliary branches from either plant. So the more light I get deeper, the more quality bud I'll end up with. I may drop the light down to 22" when the stretch is over. I'll also check to see if the net would be necessary anymore. Most likely, but still would be nice to pull each plant for inspection and maintenance. Let's hope I can do it. I may find places with too many leaves that I can't see from the canopy. The environment is way off today. The humidity is pretty high at 58 to 59% with the temps being too low at 74°. The VPD is suffering as well at 1.14 kPa. Much too low for the flowering stage. I'll have to see what I can do to fix it. If I can get the humidity down to 55% and the temp up to 77°, I'll be fine. I'd really much rather the humidity be at 50% or 52% ideally, but something is off today. Grow System Environment: Temp: 77.5° RH: 52.5% VPD: 1.49 kPa April 11, 2024 A nice and easy day. The light power may need to be turned up, but I'll look into that tomorrow. I removed a few leaves here and there to open up a bit more space, as well as leaves that were crushed against the tent walls. They don't need water today, but Banana Purple Punch A will need a watering tomorrow. Banana Purple Punch B hasn't taken much water in but I expect her to need water in a couple days. The bottom of the container is nice and moist, but the plant doesn't seem to need much water. It's very interesting. I always end up with one plant that sucks down all the water and another that takes next to nothing. Very interesting. I wonder what I'm doing to cause this or is it just that much difference between the two? Now that they have been cleaned up... Again... They looks stunning. Both ladies are covered in trichomes now and are super sticky and smell absolutely wonderful. Banana Purple Punch A could stand to have a few more leaves removed, but I've taken enough for today. I'll give it a other two days before I trim again, then I'm leaving it alone for the rest of the stretch with next week being the last for the flowering stretch. At least, it should be. I'd say there's another 2 to 3 weeks left of nutrients before flushing. Probably another month left for both ladies. Maybe slightly less. Banana Purple Punch B is still super compact, but the way I've trimmed her up, she still has plenty of space for light penetration as well as airflow. Perfect. I'll keep an eye on her though. I did manage to remove most all of the leaves crushing against the wall and a few that were infringing on another plant in the tent. Those leaves went as well. The environment is a tough cookie today. It's not bad by any stretch, but the exhaust fan is running at full blast to compensate and I'm not a fan of that. I'd much prefer the fan run at 50%. Or lower. But it's raining today, so I'm not expecting it to be perfect. The temp is hanging out around 75° with the humidity bouncing between 53% and 56%. The VPD is a tiny bit low at 1.33 kPa. It should be above 1.40 kPa at this stage. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75.6° RH: 53.9% VPD: 1.36 kPa

April 12, 2024 Day 57 This week we will be focusing on defoliation. The last defoliation until flower to be exact. I don't plan on doing it all at once, but I'll be doing it throughout the week or when it's done. Whichever comes first. Banana Purple Punch A is about 22" in most spots with a few colas standing an inch or two higher. I believe she has for the most part finished her stretch. Not as tall as I had hoped, but there's tons of bud sites throughout, so it should be a pretty decent yield for her size. Banana Purple Punch B is slightly shorter at 21" tall with 2 colas being 23". Her buds are huge and fat. I'm expecting a really nice yield from her regardless of her size. I'm pretty sure her stretch has stopped now and this is the final size she will be. She may stretch another half inch or so in the next week, but that's it. Both ladies got a partial leaf cut today. Just cleaning up some clusters and larger overshadowing leaves. There's a couple more areas to work on, but I'll save those for the next trimming in 2 days. It honestly should only be about 6 days for the whole thing to be good. With Banana Purple Punch A having less to work on, she may be done next trimming session. Let's hope. It's really time to focus on bud production. The nutrients are going to change with the next watering. Banana Purple Punch A got a full reservoir refill, while Banana Purple Punch B needs another day. I'll top her off tomorrow. I'll be switching Big Bud with Overdrive and removing Sensizym. Tasty Terpenes will remain as well as B-52. I'll keep the new setup for about 2 weeks. Then I'll cut the dose in half for one watering before the flush. I'll be using Flawless Finish for the flushing cycle. I decided to increase the light power back up to 90%. It's the best place for the DLI. The center is about 50 mol/m²/d while the surrounding area is 45 mol/m²/d. The very edges are about 42 mol/m²/d. Overall it's a really nice position and I get to keep the 24" distance. I'm really enjoying this footprint. Also, depending on what happens over the next week, I may have to drop the power back down or lift the light up as high as it can go. I may lose an inch, but that's perfectly fine. The environment was a bit wonky for the last couple days, but now it's back to an acceptable range. Today it's at 76° with a humidity of 55%. The VPD is 1.33 kPa. Again, not the most ideal for this stage. It's fine though. The humidity will drop later this afternoon and the VPD will raise up to about 1.42 kPa. So everything is good there. April 13, 2024 Absolutely nothing to do today. No clipping of leaves, no watering, no light lifting, nothing. Just took some pictures, checked over the plants and that was it. I'll look for leaves to trim tomorrow. If I even decide to trim anymore leaves at all. I might just leave Banana Purple Punch A alone. She seems to be done stretching along with Banana Purple Punch B. So I guess from here on out, I should probably just leave them alone. So tomorrow with be the last day. As I said earlier, the lighting need not be changed. The ladies are praying. I think this is where the light will be for the rest of the grow. Updated Correction: I ended up cutting some leaves off today. Not a whole lot, but there were clusters I missed and a couple massive leaves that were overshadowing several bud sites. It's all about the angle of view. I only have one way I can look, so it makes trimming a bit of a pain. But that should be it from now on. Maybe a bit more tomorrow. We shall see. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.5° RH: 52.0% VPD: 1.32 kPa April 14, 2024 As I said yesterday, today is the last day of defoliation. So I dug nice and deep. I didn't take off as much as I thought I would, but I'm sure I'll find more this afternoon. Anyway, I had the intention of doing a full defoliation, so I was looking for anything that could be done away with. Lots of power clusters from the younger foliage growing and spreading. I think I will end up removing the SCroG net today or tomorrow. I may do it this afternoon before I check for more leaves and pull each plant out and finish the defoliation then. I'll also clean up the outsides of each plant to help keep them more compact. Mostly leaves that are sticking out too far. Those that touch the walls and overlap each others bud sites. It's early afternoon and I have removed the SCroG net and did a nice defoliation. Both plants got a decent amount of leaves taken off. Nothing crazy, maybe 15% came off each plant. With the net off and the ladies trimmed up, there is plenty of deep light penetration and air flow. Banana Purple Punch A is actually filled in the center now. For the most part. After removing the net, the middle branches came in a bit, offering ample light penetration for the tops that were behind the middles. I've also noticed that the internodal spacing is pretty long on her. Very spread out. But all the buds are big and fat and covered in trichomes. Not quite super frosty yet, but getting there. Banana Purple Punch B opened up quite nicely with her defoliation. Not much changed in branch placement with the net off, but the defoliation opened up a ton of space for ultimate light penetration and air flow. She is also covered in trichomes. Also not frosty yet, but definitely getting there. I checked the DLI today. It looks great at 43 mol/m²/d. Not the 45 I was expecting, but the center of the tent still hits 51 mol/m²/d. Not to mention that the two Tropicana Cookies I have sharing the tent several taller tops than these ladies by about 3 inches. That leads me to have a slight issue. I would prefer the light be at 45 mol/m²/d for these ladies, but if I lower it, the intensity will be too much for the other plants and their taller tops. Lifting the plants up may be the only option. However, it's tops that are taller. The canopy is still just over the net. And that's for all of the plants in the tent. So I'm just trying to figure out what to do. I'll decide this afternoon, after the net is removed and the plants are all trimmed up. I can also get a better idea of what the canopies look like and the amount of tops that are taller. Honestly, the best canopy is from Banana Purple Punch B. She's the smallest, but has the best structure. The canopy is nearly perfect compared to Banana Purple Punch A who is more spread out with tops in a range of heights. Not so level. My training may have been a bit off for her. Still nice and open though. She definitely didn't grow as I expected either. Inner branches didn't stretch as much as I would have expected. So this plant would have benefited a wider canopy. To help get those center auxiliary branches could keep up with the outers. Nothing to be done now. But for future reference. The environment is doing pretty good today with a temp of 77° and the humidity just over 54%. The DLI is looking really good as well at 1.44 kPa. Perfect for this stage. I would prefer to lower both the heat and the humidity. The heat should be around 75° with the humidity under 50%. The DLI would stay the same though. And that's the goal. 1.44 kPa and a temp of 75°. I'll match the humidity to the temp for the DLI. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75.5° RH: 52.2% VPD: 1.39 kPa April 15, 2024 Not as wordy as yesterday. It's watering day! Except for Banana Purple Punch B. She is nearly full still. I soaked the bottom of her container to kick start the wick system. This kind of happened with my last run. One plant just wouldn't take water in as much as the rest. It was also the smallest of the plants. It's interesting that for some reason she started slowing down her water intake at the flowering stage. It's still way too early to do that. Anyway, with the net gone, I finally got to clean the basins out. Well, I cleaned the one for Banana Purple Punch A. It was empty. For Banana Purple Punch B, I mixed the solution and cleaned the wicks. They were definitely clogged. I changed the nutrients to 8 ml of Overdrive and removed the Big Bud. I was supposed to remove the Sensizym as well, but forgot to. I'll remove it next watering. This will be the final regimen for the rest of the grow. I am a bit concerned with the 8 ml dose of Overdrive. It may be too much to start. I should have started with 4 ml. Oh well, I'll be able to fix it pretty quickly if there are any issues. All that being said, everything looks great! The plants definitely look much better without the net. As well as being much more even around the canopy. The lighting was not changed yet again. I'll double check the light tomorrow. I may do it later this afternoon. I'll see how I feel. However, I don't think it will need any movement. The environment looks really good today. 75° and 50% humidity. Looking great! Pretty stable as well. I will say the night temps are a bit high. It's about 71° to 73°. I'd much rather see the temp at 66° to 68°. Especially during the flowering stage. Update: I lifted the light an inch and left the power alone. It's a bit all over the place with the canopy definitely not being level. Like it should be, but now it's at least in the 40's and not in the mid 50's. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75.3° RH: 50.2% VPD: 1.45 kPa April 16, 2024 Not much going on today. Banana Purple Punch A looks great. She may need watering tomorrow. I'll double check this afternoon. Banana Purple Punch B on the other hand need water today. The dip in the basin worked wonders and kick-started the wick system. She's definitely drinking now. She may slow down a bit once the soil saturation rate levels out. Neither plant needs any maintenance today. I didn't bother pulling them out. I don't think it's necessary to pull them out daily if I can avoid it. I'd rather leave them to grow those buds as much as possible without any disturbances. I will pull them out tomorrow though. Just Incase they need anything done. It'll also give me a better idea of what I'm looking at when they are in the tent. It's a tight fit with 4 plants in there, and it's really hard to tell them apart where they meet up. They are all touching each wall, but definitely not as bad as it could be. Looks like a perfect fit to be honest. Their buds are huge. And haven't really started swelling quite yet. Lots of trichomes. I'll start posting trichomes pics next week as well as individual plant pics. They are too big to really tell apart in the tent, so I'll do the solo pics instead. The lighting didn't need to be changed. I believe this is where I'm keeping it for the rest of the grow. At least until the last week. I'll drop it down a bit for the first half of the week and a bit more for the last half before harvest. For now, the light stays at 45 mol/m²/d and 24" canopy distance. The environment looks great today. I finally got the temp down to 66° last night. It has climbed up to 76° today. The humidity has been stable at 51% for most of the time. It climbed a little bit yesterday, but hasn't showed signs of climbing at all today. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.5° RH: 52.3% VPD: 1.32 kPa April 17, 2024 A little to do today. Both ladies got a reservoir refill and Banana Purple Punch B needed a whole branch pulled out of the way of other tops. Looking good now. I will say this strain has some super strong branches and stalk. I didn't pull Banana Purple Punch A out today. No need. I can see through and around her. Looking good as well. I still haven't changed the light. No need at this stage. Another week or 2 before I drop the light power down to 70%. In theory, if I'm right, that should bring the DLI down to about 38 mol/m²/d. The final week will have the light power at 60%. That will be roughly 35 mol/m²/d. And that's the final light schedule. The environment is back on track with the night temp being around 67° with day temps climbing back up to around 76°. The humidity is still really stable at 51%. I'm not sure I'll be able to drop it below 50%, but I'm going to try my damnedest. 45% is where it should be now. It's just tough to get there. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.0° RH: 50.0% VPD: 1.40 kPa April 18, 2024 Not much going on today. No water needed and no sense in changing the light. Instead, I lifted Banana Purple Punch B up one more riser. Now she is perfectly level with the whole canopy. Should have done that in the first place, but you never know. I've come to the conclusion that this run isn't the best I could have had. The plants aren't up to where I would have liked them. I've been monitoring container size for a while now and I can tell you 3 gallon containers. Don't generally produce large plants. I prefer large plants to shorter ones. Even though larger is not always better, but I have learned from my mistakes and I find that 5 gallon containers are the best bet for a larger plant. I mean, I could just be doing it wrong and got lucky with a few larger plants, but I feel like I generally get better plants with the 5 gallon containers. I'll do a side by side at some point. For the next run, it's a contest, so I'm keeping all the plants in 3 gallon containers. If I have enough soil, I'll do 5 gallon containers. Anyway, Banana Purple Punch A has some taller colas, but the internodal spacing is pretty long, so the branches aren't covered in buds, but the buds that are there are getting really fat. Banana Purple Punch B has more bud development, but is significantly shorter. They have the same amount of branches, but they just grew differently. She also kept up with the wick system, so the bottom of the container is nice and moist with roots showing throughout the bottom. A little too late for that, but still good for strong bud development. As I said earlier, I didn't mess with the light, but lifted Banana Purple Punch B up to canopy height again. The light is seemingly a bit too bright in some areas, where the super tall tops are. I may decrease the power back down to 80% in a week. Then down to 70% and then 60% and maybe even 50% if need be. The DLI for these two is now finally 45 mol/m²/d. The environment is a little wonky today. Well, at least for the morning it has been. It should fix itself later today. The temp is around 75° and the humidity is a bit high at 55%. The VPD is low at 1.33 kPa. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.2° RH: 53.3% VPD: 1.33 kPa

April 19, 2024 Day 64 A new week and nothing to change. I took each plant out and separately took pics. But that's it. Banana Purple Punch A has a final height of 23". She is 24" from the light and the DLI is 43 mol/m²/d. She is the bigger of the two but has more space and less bud. The buds are still really nice and covered in trichomes. I'll get a couple pictures in when I remember to. Banana Purple Punch B has a final height of 21". She is 23" from the light due to the risers. The DLI is 44 mol/m²/d. She's the smaller, but has way more bud and it appears the size isn't going to matter with this one. I can't really tell for sure what the yield will be for them, but if they bulk up enough, I may get 4 oz out of each plant. Maybe 5 depending on the bud density. No watering today. They will be needing water tomorrow though. I may pull back on the Overdrive. I'm getting some burning tips. I'm guessing it's the dose of Overdrive. I'll drop it down to 4 ml instead of the 8 ml it's currently at. Same thing with the Bud Candy. I just don't think they need the full dose. Especially when everything else is getting a half dose. The light is obviously staying the same this week. Probably for the next 2 weeks. Unless they start to finish up super quick. So maybe another 3 to 4 weeks left on the plants total. The environment is a bit off today. The temp is kind of high at 78° and the humidity is also kind of high at 56%. I'd much rather everything be down. 75° and 50% is good for now. Still don't know how I'm going to get the humidity down to 45%. I may have to work with 50% for the rest of the grow. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.2° RH: 53.3% VPD: 1.31 kPa April 20, 2024! Happy 420! Well, today was watering day. I decided not to add the Overdrive today. It should help with the nutrient burn. Next watering I'll start the 4 ml dose. I also dropped the Bud Candy down to 4 ml also to help with the nutrient burn. Banana Purple Punch A looks great! Her buds are super fat. I can't wait to see the end result for this lady. Great leaf to bud ratio and beautiful colors. Banana Purple Punch B is getting super fat buds. Not as big as Banana Purple Punch A, but still swelling. I'm also fairly certain that, Banana Purple Punch A started flowering earlier, so her buds are naturally further along and of course are bigger. However, Banana Purple Punch B has more bud throughout the plant. When the buds really start to swell, I may not see branch anymore. Lol. That would be fantastic. The lighting didn't change yet again. The environment is back to normal today. The temps are gradually climbing up from last night's 68° with the humidity staying happily at 51%. As I said, it would fix itself. Happy days! Now it's at 74° and should be back up to 76° in a couple of hours. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.4° RH: 52.3% VPD: 1.30 kPa April 21, 2024 Nothing going on today with these two. I'll be taking Trichomes pics in a few days. Maybe starting next week. I was planning on starting this week, and there are tons of trichomes, but not enough to be impressive. Banana Purple Punch A has super fat buds and looks great! She is a tiny bit crushed against Banana Purple Punch B and it's pressing the leaves inward. No big deal, but I need to document something. Banana Purple Punch B doesn't have the fastest buds like her sister plant, but they are still fat and compact. Hopefully they bulk up like Banana Purple Punch A. Her leaves are also being forced in from the contact with Banana Purple Punch A. Lighting is the same. The environment finally fixed itself and is now at 75° and 49% humidity. Looking great! Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.4° RH: 49.7% VPD: 1.39 kPa April 22, 2024 Nothing going on today. I filled the jugs with the nutrients and they are standing by. Both reservoirs are still about a quarter full. So watering will be waiting for either first thing tomorrow or later today. The advantage is I don't have to water just in the morning. I can water anytime, so when the reservoir is near empty, I can refill it. Hell, I could do that later tonight. But I don't think I will unless necessary. I don't like to pull the plants out more than once a day, just Incase they get stressed or damaged somehow. But I take them out for inspection and solo pics. Banana Purple Punch A is getting heavy buds now. The branches are starting to sway in that way now. She looks great! Banana Purple Punch B is also looking great! She had a couple leaves snipped off today. Just a couple though. 2 leaves that were being crushed. Other than that, her structure is still great and her buds are coming along nicely. I may be expecting this to finish up in the next 2 to 3 weeks. As always, the lighting has stayed in place. Another week and we shall see if I'm dropping the intensity down. We will see what the plants are doing. The environment is doing quite nicely. A good 75° today with the humidity at 50%. I couldn't ask for any better with this setup. It has been dipping down to 48%, so that's a good sign. The night temp and humidity are still looking pretty good. Steady humidity at 50% and the temp average for last night was still 68°. I'd like to see the average at around 66° for the rest of the run, but I'm still having trouble getting the temp that low. It did drop down to 65° for a bit last night, but through the night, the temp needs time to drop and I only get about an hour or so of cold. I'm planning on cooling my room off earlier in the evening, so when the lights go out, we are down to maybe 72° and will drop even lower for a longer period of time. I'll start that next week I think. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.8° RH: 49.2% VPD: 1.41 kPa April 23, 2024 Not a lot going on today. Just watering and inspection. Both plants got the full watering and half the dose of Overdrive and half the dose of Bud Candy. Banana Purple Punch A has great fat buds, but spaced out quite a bit. She still looks super good though. Beautiful greens and good sized fan leaves. Banana Purple Punch B is the best of the two by far. She has the most bud and the cleanest structure. Leaf to bud ratio is right on point if not a little high. But no big deal. I'll be doing a wet trim anyway, so it won't matter too much. In the mean time, I'll just leave her alone. Just watering and observation. Both ladies have a wonderful aroma. Strong and sweet. A little hint of gas as well. It's a sharp smell, the best way I can explain it. It's not super heady like diesel, but sharp like petrol. I'd like to discuss the time frame these ladies have left. By the way they look, id say another 2 to 3 weeks. Maybe less. They have tons of pistils and only a couple have turned orange. So they're still going strong. The lighting is still spot on for these two. Depending on how they look next week, I may leave it or drop the power down. We shall see. The environment is looking good today. Currently 8 have it at 78°, but that will go down to 75° in an hour. I had to kickstart my heater and bring the temp up as quick as I could. Now I just have to adjust it down to 75° simple. Also, I discovered that my dehumidifier was off. Oops. Anyway, I turned that back on and the humidity is hanging just below 50% now. The VPD is around 1.60 kPa. Should be fine for the next few hours. Honestly, I'm pretty sure the VPD should be around 1.60 kPa anyway. But that's with the temp at 75° and the humidity at 45%. Currently it's fine, but with the dehumidifier back on, I should be able to lower the temp a bit and really drop the humidity. Hopefully. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.7° RH: 49.0% VPD: 1.42 kPa Nothing going on today. Just observation. What I'm observing is tons of trichomes. Frosty tops and leaves. Frost everywhere. I'll start with the trichome pics next week. Then we should have tons of good pics. Now if I can keep my hand steady... That's the trick. Banana Purple Punch A looks great as always. Her buds are getting fatter everyday. No orange pistils yet. Well, not an abundance of them. Just a few scattered here and there. You can tell she's got another 2 weeks left. But that's a good thing. Big ole fat buds. Lots of frost and tons of smell. Banana Purple Punch B looks majestic. Her buds are coated on trichomes and she's almost at the place where I can really call her frosty. Not quite yet though. I want a full blanket of frost. Very close. And with her structure, she looks all the better. I'm not expecting to move the light for at least another week or so, and even then I may only drop the power down to 80%. I just don't quite know yet. The environment is a bit off today. The temp is fine at 75°, but it's the humidity that is a bit high today. It's holding at 52%. Nothing crazy, but definitely not below 50%. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.6° RH: 50.9% VPD: 1.41 kPa April 25, 2024 Today is the end of week 9 and moving into late flower. Things will be changing starting next week. Lots to document. Nothing to do today. Both reservoirs are still too full to refill, so that won't be happening until later today or early tomorrow. There honestly isn't much to report at all. Everything looks the same as yesterday. The buds are bigger, but that's about it. Same thing with the lighting. Nothing to change. The environment is actually really nice. I have the heat in my room cranked for now. I've been keeping the tent around 76°. The humidity has been happy at 50%. I also managed to get the temp down to 62° last night. Not for long though. It was too cold on my room for that. Lol. The average for the night was 65°. Right where I want it. Now to figure out how to keep it at 65° without slamming it all the way down to 62°. The humidity was also nice and low at 48%. Excellent night temp. Let's hope I can keep it up. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.1° RH: 49.3% VPD: 1.43 kPa Quick update: I totally forgot to make the end of week video, so I made one today, May 1, 2024. I only did so because I'm switching to solo plant videos for the rest of the grow. Sorry for the confusion.

April 26, 2024 Day 71 It's a new week and the start of late flower. It was also cleaning day. Both reservoirs have been cleaned out and are freshly loaded with new water. This week we are focusing on watering and nutrients. I may start to drop the dose until flush, over this week and the next. The light power will also be gradually dropped down over the next 2 weeks. Not much this week, I think I'll drop the DLI down to 43 mol/m²/d in the middle of the week. Next week I'll drop it down to 38 mol/m²/d. It all depends on what the plants look like. The plants are getting ready to hunker down and finish up. Both have decent sized buds and just need to finish swelling. I'd say another 2 weeks maybe? Flushing will start at some point over the next 2 weeks as well. Flushing won't be much of a big deal as it's just cleaning the reservoirs and running a week of Flawless Finish. The environment is changing a bit as well. I dropped the day temp down to 75° and the night temps to 65° or lower. Not cold enough to cause stress, but enough to get some purple I hope. The humidity is sitting at 47% and I'll be leaving it there unless somehow I can get it to go lower. For now it's pretty solid at 47% and everything looks great, so no need to worry. I'll be taking trichome pics every few days. One pic for each plant. No point in loading up the whole photo gallery with even more daily pics. Plus, the progression of trichomes isn't fast enough to really notice daily. So every 3 days should be fine. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.2° RH: 47.7% VPD: 1.49 kPa April 27, 2024 Nothing happening today. Both ladies were inspected with no issues. I snipped a single leaf off of Banana Purple Punch B. Just one. Blocking bud sites. Banana Purple Punch A has some massive buds. About the size of golf balls. Maybe a bit smaller. They are still swelling and have a good 2 weeks left. Pistils are still mostly white, so that's a good sign for larger buds and more trichomes. Banana Purple Punch B is looking wonderful as ever. She doesn't seem to be suffering any issues with nutrient burn unlike her sister plant. She's perfectly healthy and has very nice bud production. The buds aren't quite as big as Banana Purple Punch A, but still nice and sizeable. The nutrient burn seems to have stopped for Banana Purple Punch A. So that's good. It should be perfectly fine now. Lighting is staying the same for the next couple of days. Although, I may keep it the same for the rest of the week. The environment is excellent now. It's raining today and the humidity is still at 47%. I did get it down to 44% for most of the afternoon yesterday, so I may be able to keep it down after the rain stops. Or just wait for the afternoon and see what happens. Either way, the humidity is now at 47% and the temp is at 76.8°. The VPD is at 1.57 kPa. A tiny bit high, but still well within range. Last night's temp was a little high at 69°. I'll have to drop the temp lower again to get that 65° sweet spot. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.4° RH: 45.7% VPD: 1.55 kPa April 28, 2024 Not much to do today. I mixed a new batch of nutrients for both plants. The only difference is that I cut the Overdrive in half down to 2 ml/gal. Neither plant needs it, but now it's mixed and ready to go. I may end up filling the reservoirs tonight as it stands. Or later this afternoon. I don't think they will last til tomorrow morning. Both plants are putting off a wonderful aroma. I honestly can't describe it. Like sweet and kind of a hint of banana and a bit heady. Trichome production is picking up quickly. The pistils are starting to turn orange as well. They are definitely in the late flowering stage. I think I'll start dropping the nutrients for the next watering. And I'll drop the DLI down to 40 mol/m²/d tomorrow I think. Not much else to say about nutrients or lighting, so moving on to the environment. It's a warm humid day out and raining off and on. My whole environment is wonky, with humidity being at 57% and the temp at 77°. I turned the AC on about an hour ago and the temp went down to 75°, and humidity up to 60%. I think I'll crank the AC all the way down. And hopefully get rid of the humidity with the temp being a bit lower than perfect. Update: I ended up adding about a half gallon of plain water to both reservoirs. Just Incase I have nutrient lockout or something. They should go through that by tomorrow afternoon. Maybe late evening. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75.6° RH: 52.8% VPD: 1.39 kPa April 29, 2024 No watering today. I'm still waiting for the plain water work it's way through. However, I did drop the light power. Both ladies look great. Big buds, great scent and nice color. I'm not seeing any fade yet, but the nutrient burn is still there. I hope it will fix itself with the plain water. And then maybe fading will start. These two need a good 2 weeks or so before harvest. The lighting, as I said, was changed today. I dropped the power down to 70% to get as close as possible to 40 mol/m²/d. I may have to drop it another 10%. I'm not too sure. I'll check the DLI again when I'm more awake. (I'm finally on my second cup of coffee. Lol) Looks good though. Just around where I want it to be. But there are a lot of spots where the DLI is a bit high at 43 mol/m²/d. The tallest tops are also kind of high at 45 mol/m²/d. Again, I'll double check on a couple hours, but it should be fine. The environment is wonky again today. The temp is fine, but the humidity is still high at 60% and I don't see a way to drop it again. Not with the current weather. Hopefully I can get it down with some heat. The AC method did not work. Well, it maybe will work tonight. I'll be dropping that bad boy down to 59° tonight and hopefully it will do what I need it to. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.2° RH: 59.8% VPD: 1.15 kPa April 30, 2024 Watering day. The reservoirs were both nearly empty and there was just enough space for a full gallon in each one. It's the normal nutrient dose with Overdrive being at 2 ml/gal. These two plants are looking mighty fine. Excellent bud swelling and trichome production. I'm definitely going to be wet trimming them instead of my normal dry trim. I may leave the bods on the branches and do a partial wet trim, or I guess mostly wet trim. They smell great! Very strong aroma now. I swear they smell like artificial grape. I can't describe it any other way. Grape and pungent. Awesome. So far the light seems to be fine. No reaching or showing any signs of lack of lighting. They look pretty happy. Although, Banana Purple Punch A is a bit sad from nutrient burn. Banana Purple Punch B however didn't seem to have much of a problem with the burn. The environment is still pretty wonky. High humidity again. I can control the temp pretty easily, but the humidity is another issue. It's currently sitting at 56% and I'm holding the temp at 76°. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75.5° RH: 57.0% VPD: 1.26 kPa May 1, 2024 Not a whole lot going on today. No water needed, no light changes. I rotated both ladies 180° so now they are getting light on other sides. I'll leave them like this for the rest of the grow I think. Banana Purple Punch A actually fits better in the new position. Less wall touching and about the same neighboring plant touching. I also removed 3 leaves. Ones that were misshapen from being crushed against the tent walls. Banana Purple Punch B seems to fit a little better in the new position, mostly because of her sister plant. More room on the outside and a little less room inside. No leaves were removed today. I'll reserve that for the last 2 days of the grow cycle. Then I'll do a massive defoliation and then a wet trim. It's humid here right now and I need the space. Otherwise I'd stick with dry trimming. But I can't hold up the tent for 3 more weeks. I have other plants getting ready to be planted in their final containers. Like a week for that, I might be able to squeeze a week and a half, but that's it. They will have a space, but the main tent is where they will need to be. Not a 2x2 dry tent. I'll work it how I need to I guess. Anyway, both ladies look great! Trichome production is coming along nicely as well. They are very smelly now and I love it. They are also still packing on weight I think. Not a ton, but the buds are clearly getting denser now that some of the pistils are starting to turn orange. I'd say another 2 weeks on these two. As I said, the lighting hasn't changed at all. Not for another few days to a week. Then it will have another power drop. Until then, we are staying at a DLI of 40 mol/m²/d. It's roughly 38 mol/m²/d on the outer part of the canopy. The environment is STILL wonky. I cannot for the life of me get that damned humidity down at all. Not with a dehumidifier, not with the heat cranked, not with the AC cranked. I'll try my big dehumidifier in my room, but the humidity is like 49% and frankly I'd rather the room humidity stay there. Much easier to breathe. However, the humidity in the tent is suffering at 59% while the temp is hanging out still at 76° Grow System Environment: Temp: 75.2° RH: 56.1% VPD: 1.27 kPa May 2, 2024 Not a lot going on today. No watering needed, no trimming, nothing. I found a broken bud on Banana Purple Punch A. It must have been from when it was against the wall, or too close to the other plants and got stuck on a branch while I was rotating. Oh well. It's a lower bud, so not huge. It's also the last day of the week and that means new videos! For the rest of the grow, I'll be making weekly videos of the individual plants. So that will.be this week and the next 2 weeks or so. Banana Purple Punch A looks great aside from that one broken bud. Her buds are fat and thick. Super dense from what I can see. I would like to note that the fade hasn't started yet, so we still have that 2 weeks left. Unless it starts in the next day or 2, I'll be banking on 2 weeks. Banana Purple Punch B is still compact as ever, but her buds are getting fatter everyday and of all the plants in the tent, she has done the best with the nutrients. Very little burn and didn't seem to be bothered by it. Maybe I did something early on to have such a small plant, but still. I think I can bank on 2 oz from each plant. Maybe 3 oz. It's really nothing compared to previous grows, but as I said before, as long as it's fire, I'm happy. Trichome production on both plants is fantastic. They are loaded from top to bottom. And building more and more everyday. There's still plenty of time left for there 2 as well. Most of the trichomes are clear with about 20% being cloudy and sparsely amber. That's another sign that they need another couple of weeks. Maybe slightly less. I increased the light power yesterday back up to 80%. I think I was a bit early on the intensity drop, so I'll drop it again in a few days I think. Around mid week coming up. Now we are running a DLI of 43 mol/m²/d inside and 40 mol/m²/d on the outside. The environment kinda fixed itself, but not to the ideal climate. It's still at 55% humidity. Better than 60%, but still not good enough. It needs to be below 50%. However, I can still control the temp and I have it at 74.5°. I'll turn it up a bit and see if I can clear out the last 5% of the humidity. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.7° RH: 55.2% VPD: 1.24 kPa Update: I added a couple test videos to see if they would upload. Success!

May 3, 2024 Day 78 This week is what seems to be the last week before flushing and a light intensity drop. Both ladies look really nice and coming along swimmingly. More orange pistils, more amber trichomes. Not enough of either, but they are getting there. Probably the next week of nutrients and a week of flush. Speaking of nutrients, I decided to cut the whole regimen in half. There's clearly nutrient burn and I can't seem to get rid of it. I also believe the plants aren't taking in as much water as they were before. The containers are holding more water and that tells me it has nowhere to go besides in the soil and the ants aren't keeping up. Nutrient lockout? Age of plants? They are an 8 week strain while we are starting week 11 today. I'm sure I'll find out. So I'm guessing about a week and a half left before harvest. I'm not sure if it will be 2 weeks or not, but I've been saying 2 weeks for over a week now. We are definitely close to comfortably call 2 weeks or earlier. Hopefully earlier. Banana Purple Punch A is getting heavy. Branches are starting to lean and buds are covering buds from the weight. Apparently these branches aren't as strong as Banana Purple Punch B whose branches are stiff as boards. Very healthy though. Although, she did take a hit from the nutrient burn. Not much and definitely not as bad as the Tropicana Cookies did. Banana Purple Punch B is a thing of beauty. She is small and compact, but her buds are fat and she smells amazing. Tons of trichomes and lots of bud throughout the plant. She'll definitely need a trimming before I harvest. I think I've decided to do a mostly wet trim and leaves just the sugar leaves on the plant. Anything with a stem I can reach will be cut off. Same with Banana Purple Punch A, but her buds to leaf ration is fantastic. I won't have to do much trimming on her. Banana Purple Punch B, on the other hand, will need a whole lot of trimming. I've got this week's first set of trichome pics. One for each plant. Looks pretty good. A bunch of cloudy, a bunch of clear and some amber. Definitely not ready. No watering today as I topped off the reservoirs with a half gallon of plain water. PHed at 6.2 which took a bit of PH down. Apparently my water is really low in acid. The lighting will be staying the same for most of the week. As these ladies have only a couple of weeks left, I'll try to time the light intensity drop accordingly. The environment is still messed up. SMH. The temp is still fine, but the humidity is still high. Now only 55%, but still too high. I'd prefer 40% now, but I'll take 50% somehow. It stopped raining and the weather is really nice, so I don't see why the humidity is still high. Last night the temp was averaging out at 67.9° with a low of 65° with the humidity still being high at 55.8%. At least it's staying the same. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.2° RH: 55.0% VPD: 1.23 kPa May 4, 2024 May the 4th be with you! Star Wars all the way! Not a lot going on today. Both ladies got a full gallon of half dose nutrients. I think it's time. They have about a week and a half left to go. Maybe less. Hopefully less. Banana Purple Punch A was rotated today. Her branches are so top heavy now that the whole plant jiggled when I moved it. Honestly, kinda funny to see. Her reservoir was almost empty. She's definitely still thirsty. With the half dose of nutes, I expect to start to see a fade. At the end of the week I'll start the real flush with Flawless Finish. Only for the first watering though. Also, I don't top flush. All of the nutrient buildup on the top soil will just poison the plants. So I continue to run the reservoir. Afterall, that is the place where the nutrients get absorbed. So Flawless Finish blocks some sort of beta things that prevent the plant from taking in nutrients. I've used it for the last 3 runs and I have no idea if it works or not. I very rarely get a good fade. Too many nutrients at the end? Maybe. Banana Purple Punch B hasn't changed position at all. She fits perfectly in the tent where she is. She had a little bit more water than her sister, but still low enough to fill the reservoir with a whole gallon and not overdo it. She also has about a week and a half left. Her buds are huge now. The very tops are the huge ones, but the lower buds are all dense. Should be decent popcorn for pressing. Her leaves are a deep color of green. Not so deep to be a concern for toxicity. However, FastBuds says the leaves should turn light green at the end. We shall see. Also, I'm not seeing purple at all. Hence the half dose and flush next week. The lighting of course is going to be dropped to 70% power in a few days. Then down to 60% at the start of next week and will be brought down to 50% for the final few days. The environment is bad today. The humidity is back to 60%. I can still control the temp though. I think I need to drop it to 74° for the day and try to keep it at 65° at night. A tall order, but I think I can pull it off. I just wish I could get rid of this damned humidity. Not that I think anything will get ruined. I have 3 clip fans running at half power each, so airflow is fantastic. These also quite a bit of open space for Banana Purple Punch A. Not so much with Banana Purple Punch B. But she still has a decent amount of open space. Definitely enough to not get any issues. At least that's the theory. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.0° RH: 57.9% VPD: 1.19 kPa May 5, 2024 Trichome day! I got a couple of decent trichome pics from each plant. They aren't perfect, but they are pretty good for what I can do. No watering today obviously. That won't be for another day or 2. Banana Purple Punch A looks great! Her colas are getting heavier and slightly fatter. I'd say I'm on point with when she will be done. I say another 10 days. Flush will start at the end of this week. That should leave me a good 5 to 6 days of flushing before harvest. She's also getting more and more orange pistils and some amber trichomes. I still see mostly clear and a good amount of cloudy. Definitely not ready yet. Banana Purple Punch B also looks great! Her buds are just as fat as her sister plant. They aren't nearly as far along though. I'd give this one 2 weeks. But maybe the same 10 more days. They are different phenomes afterall. Her branches are like SUPER stiff. No leaning, no anything except the jiggle when moved. Such a strong little one. Neither plant is showing signs of fade yet. I expect it will start to show up in the next week. The buds are also still quite green. I'll also be expecting purple in the next week. We shall see. Light power will be dropped at the end of the week I think. I was going to drop it tomorrow, but I think these two need a bit more time. The environment is still messed up. It's mid spring now and it's just getting humid. I can expect to have a lot of humidity for the next 3 weeks. I will just have to do my best to fight it. Currently, the temp is at 76° and the humidity is still at 60%. It just refuses to drop down. I had the humidity in my room all the way back down to 50% and it did absolutely nothing. I'll have to periodically open the tent until this humidity levels back out. No big deal, I'm always home. I also keep trying to get the temp down at night. I can't seem to get it below 67°. I'd really like it at 65° and the day temp at 74°, but it doesn't seem to be working. The problem is I can't get the humidity down without cranking the heat. But if I crank the heat, the temp goes above 77° and gets dangerously close to messing up the trichomes. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.1° RH: 59.7% VPD: 1.10 kPa May 6, 2024 Not much going on today. No trichome pics, no watering, no light changes. The only thing I have to mess with is the humidity still. It should go down today. I have my room at 47%. Banana Purple Punch A looks great! Super heavy colas and dense... Very dense buds. Solid. She has a few more orange pistils, but that's a good thing. She should be finishing up in about a week now. Banana Purple Punch B is stunning. For a small plant, her structure is wonderful, bud are huge and solid. She is pretty bushy, so I will be very happy when I can trim all the foliage off before harvest. She should need about another 10 to 12 days. The aroma coming off of these has changed since that last time I said something about it. It's more pungent now and smells of sweet fruit and something heavy. I'm not getting much or any banana smell, but I'm a smoker, so my sniffer is a bit off. It's still strong enough for me to smell the essence of this strain. Unfortunately, I don't know anyone who doesn't smoke and will be willing to smell my weed. Lol And the one person I know who would smell it smokes more than I do. As before, the lights will stay the same for the rest of this week. Then I'll drop them down to a DLI of 36 mol/m²/d. The environment is still kind of wonky with the temp being around 75° and the humidity being still high at 58%. But as I said earlier, I have my room back down to 48% humidity, so I should be able to get the tent down to 50% sometime this afternoon, and hopefully it will stay that way for at least another week. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.8° RH: 62.3% VPD: 1.06 kPa May 7, 2024 Watering day. Both ladies got a full gallon today. Other than that I took some pictures. I'm not bothering with trichomes for the next few days with these 2. They clearly aren't ready, so no point in checking clear trichomes. When I see more orange pistils, I'll start checking them. Both ladies have super heavy buds. They are making the tops sway a bit when moved. So big, so dense, so heavy. I look forward to harvest. The lighting is the same as always. It'll be dropped by the end of this week I think. I'm planning on dropping it down to 36 mol/m²/d for the last week of flower. It should work to bring out purple and to help tighten the buds up. I'm also considering cutting the nutrients off at the end of this week and go for plain water. It's just about time for flushing as it is, so in 2 days, I'll do one last nutrient dose and that's it. The environment is starting to readjust to a normal level, it's just taking a long time. Currently the temp is at 76° and the humidity is at 54%. Still high humidity, but better than 60%. My room has 42% humidity, so the humidity should eventually drop below 50%. I'll try to drop the temp as well. I'd like to see 74° for the rest of the grow. I'm still having issues with night temp. I cannot get it to go down enough. It sat at 68° and 55% humidity. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.6° RH: 54.6% VPD: 1.25 kPa May 8, 2024 So I have been doing a bit of image research and have found that these two should start showing purple anyway now. At least that's what it looks like. These ones have super green buds. Nowhere near ready for harvest. Still another week and a half or so. No water needed today. I will note that the reservoirs are still nearly full. Interesting. Banana Purple Punch A looks great. Her buds are super fat and smell great. They are dense and when they are ready will be hard as rocks. Her leaf to bud ratio is perfect. Not too many but no bare. I was more worried about her getting super bushy. Nothing of the sort. Very nice. I'll be trimming her down before harvest, but I'm not bothering with the sugar leaves until after drying. They will help give more of an even dry. Banana Purple Punch B has caught up in bud size with her sister plant. Although, she has more leaves. Trimming will be a nightmare with this one. I plan to do it in 2 sessions. Once before harvest to clean out all of the stemmed leaves. Anything I can reach at the base of a leaf is gone. After drying, I'll complete the trimming session with basically a manicure and that's it. The lights are staying as they are for a bit longer. I can't really tell if these two are actually done yet or not. I'll do a trichome check tomorrow and post pics. The environment is a nightmare. It's still 60% humidity with the temp being a bit high at 77°. I'd rather it be at 74°, but the humidity gets higher that way. I'll just have to keep opening the tent as I have been for what seems to be the last week. Either way, I will not get mold. Not if I can help it. Now drying in such high humidity is a concern. Very little airflow. Hopefully I can keep the temp in the low 60's in there. I highly doubt it. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.0° RH: 57.6% VPD: 1.19 kPa May 9, 2024 Some noticable things today. First off, neither plant is taking in as much water as they were. A sign of either nutrient lockout or they don't need as much water because they are finishing up. Finishing up makes the most sense. Banana Purple Punch A was rotated again today to keep the plant from growing mold and keep the lights hitting all the buds from every angle. She's definitely closer to being done than her sister plant is. I'd say about 5 days difference? Maybe slightly less. This is kind of a blessing and kind of a curse. I have 4 other plants in 3 gallon containers that need to go in the tent asap. If I can clear at least 2 of the 4 plants currently in the tent, including this one, I could fit all 4 plants in the tent with the last 2 plants. Then I can harvest those two separately kind of. Banana Purple Punch B has huge buds now. Some are a little bigger than her sister. They seem to have the same amount of bud, just structured differently. This plant has the super compact structure with buds all up and down, but it's only like 19" where the other one is closer to 23" and has more space between buds. But it's a larger plant, so there is the roughly the same amount of bud. At least that's what it looks like. I'm seeing no signs of fading yet. I'm guessing this is one of those strains that waits for the last week or so before showing color. Although, other diaries I've seen show different. The weird thing is that the majority of the other plants I've seen all have purple buds. Mine are still bright green. But they are definitely not ready. So I'm guessing another week and a half. Frankly, I have a lot of trouble timing harvests. I don't know what the plants do or are doing, for example, I've never had a plant finish up based on breeder specs. I've even had an autoflower go well over 15 weeks. Granted it was HUGE (understatement), but it still took over 15 weeks. But then I have strains that finish up in 12 weeks. But I couldn't tell if they were done or not. Disadvantages of not having the proper equipment. This time around I have a microscope, so I can get a really good idea of when to harvest. As for trichome check, I was supposed to do it yesterday. Then I thought maybe today. But then I realized tomorrow is a new week, so I'll take my trichome pics tomorrow. Plus, they clearly aren't ready, so no point in checking yet. The lighting as I said will stay the same for now. These 2 are showing no signs of needing it and are definitely not ready for it to drop. Not for another few days to a week anyway. The environment is kind of calming down. I can keep the day temp down to 74°, but the humidity is still high at 55%. I'll be spending the day opening it up periodically... again. I did manage to get the average night temp down to 66°, so that's something. It messed up my Sour Diesel seedlings in my 2x2 though. The temp in there went all the way down to 62°. I really need to get them in this tent. Grow System Environment: Temp: 72.6° RH: 58.7% VPD: 1.11 kPa

May 10, 2024 Day 85 A new week and I'm not sure these 2 are ready for flushing. They have way too many white pistils. Plenty of orange, though. Banana Purple Punch A has more orange pistils. Both got a gallon of nutrient water today. So they are definitely still drinking somewhat heavily. And they haven't slowed down yet. I'll keep an eye on them though. Flushing will have to happen sometime. I'd say in the next 3 waterings. That's just a guess based on their current progress. It just seems that they aren't done swelling and there's absolutely no purple coming through yet. Banana Purple Punch A still looks great. Her buds are starting to weight down the taller tops and they are slightly leaning toward the outside of the plant. It's actually quite good. It's opening up even more space for the lowers to get as much light as possible. Air flow is great as well. This is especially important because she is in the back directly under a clip fan. So it's more prone to mold. At least that's what happened in my last grow. This time I have another clip fan across from this one, so the air circulates throughout the whole tent, top to bottom. Banana Purple Punch B looks great! She's not bending any tops, but I don't expect her to with how strong her branches are. Practically immovable. However, she's definitely getting more jiggly. And she has huge buds top to bottom. I wonder if that's the reason she doesn't budge. No room. Lol. Honestly, she may be really compact, but I have her branches spread out enough for good airflow. There's just a couple of clusters that are a bit too dense with foliage, but it doesn't seem to be a problem. Lots of airflow and light. She's a bit behind her sister plant. Way more white pistils and orange on this one. No signs of purple whatsoever. Just a healthy growing plant. I'll be checking trichomes later today if I'm up to it. I hurt my back earlier. Regardless of that, I'll be getting trichome pics today or tomorrow. Probably tomorrow with videos at the end of the week. It's been quite some time since I last took trichome pics. Bad planning on my part. However, I'm excited to see how much further along they are from last time. I won't be changing the light for another few days I think. Then I'll drop the power down. As I said before, I don't think they are ready for flushing, so not ready for light changes. The environment is still a bit off. Today the temp is 76° but the humidity is still high at 56%. This is sure to ruin something. I'm still trying to get the humidity down. I have a feeling I just don't have enough air exchange in my bed room. I'm going to continue messing with it until it's right though. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.1° RH: 54.2% VPD: 1.29 kPa May 11, 2024 Not a lot going on today. Just some pictures. Banana Purple Punch A is looking really good. She looks to have another week or so. I'm really confused as to why my plants take so long to grow and finish up. Banana Purple Punch B has completely caught up with her sister plant. She has the same amount of orange pistils. That tells me there isn't much left to go. If she caught up, that means Banana Purple Punch A is even closer to being done than I think. Maybe. I'll check the trichomes again tomorrow. No pics unless they are done. I doubt they will be. Especially Banana Purple Punch B. On the other hand Banana Purple Punch A could have only a couple days left and just isn't going to turn purple or fade at all. I'm going to start flushing in a couple days I think. They both look about ready for it. Plus, they are about as big as they are going to get. I think the flush will bring out the colors. So next watering will be the beginning of the flush cycle. It should be in a couple days. Also, both ladies have slowed down on their water intake. So the reservoirs should be empty in 2 to 3 days. Probably 2 days. Then I can clean them out and get to it. The lights are going to be turned down when flushing begins. I'm going to aim for a DLI of 36 mol/m²/d for the rest of the grow. It shouldn't be anymore than a week of flushing before they are done. The environment is still messed up. It got down to 49% yesterday for a couple hours, but then this morning it was right back up to 54%. The temp is fine at 76° Still not cold enough at night, but I have time. A few days to work it out. I'd like to be down to 65° by then for the last week of their lives. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.1° RH: 53.7% VPD: 1.27 kPa Update: I decided to check the trichomes anyway. Banana Purple Punch A has quite a few cloudy trichomes. Very few amber and a bit too many clear. I'd say she has about 5 days left. Banana Purple Punch B also has quite a few cloudy trichomes. However, she has about 15% to 20% clear trichomes. Amber trichomes are basically nonexistent. There's a few here and there, but mostly on the sugar leaves and not on the buds themselves. I'd say she has another 7 days left. Honestly I don't want to harvest them separately. I'd rather harvest them at the same time, so I might harvest them in 6 days. Right in between. Maybe 7 days if Banana Purple Punch A isn't quite there yet. To be honest, I have no real idea with this strain. They seem to be getting there, but there's no purple, still a lot of clear trichomes and it's been 12 weeks. So it could be another 2 weeks for all I know. I'd like to push them as far as they need, but I have 4 other plants that need to come in the tent ASAP. So I may have to chop a bit earlier than I really want to. I'll post some trichome pics tomorrow and see what you all think. Comments are welcome. Lol May 12, 2024 Some pics today. I'll try to keep this one short. Banana Purple Punch A looks good. I checked the trichomes. Not done yet. I'm sticking by my 5 days estimate. So 4 days left. She doesn't seem to be drinking at all. She is, but it's a trickle. Definitely not like it was. I'll have to empty the reservoir out tomorrow and start the flushing cycle. Banana Purple Punch B also looks great. I also checked her trichomes. She is about the same as her sister plant. Not enough cloudy trichomes, but the amber ones are starting to show up. A good sign. She might be ready in 4 days. I'm still guessing 5 to 6 days. She also isn't drinking nearly as much as she was before. A great sign that she should be starting the flush. For trichome pics, I'll be posting some tomorrow. Nothing to post today. I'll be dropping the light power when I start flushing. Which should be tomorrow or the next day. As I've said before, the DLI will be around 36 mol/m²/d. The environment is a lost cause. I cannot for the life of me get the damned humidity to a reasonable level, so I'll continue to open the tent every couple of hours throughout the rest of the grow. Happily, it's only a few days to a week. The temp is a bit high today as well. 77°. I'm already working to drop it a bit without going over 60% humidity. I should be able to get it down to 74° without a problem. It's just the humidity that's killing me. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.9° RH: 55.6% VPD: 1.25 kPa May 13, 2024 Flushing day! I decided to rinse out the basins and begin the flush. I was going to wait another day, but I think it's time. They have about a week left I think. Honestly it should be done by now, but they aren't. Lol. No matter. They should be done in about a week. Maybe slightly less. So they have been given 4 ml of Flawless Finish. It should be the only dose I have to give. Maybe one more, but I doubt it. I still need to dry the containers out. That will take a day or two. So maybe a half gallon in a few days, just to get that last push in. Banana Purple Punch A looks great! Some more lean happening with the tops. Nothing bad or anything, just a slight lean. Perfect for heavy buds. I didn't bother checking her trichomes today. No point. You can tell she's not ready just by looking at her. Banana Purple Punch B may need even more time. I'm going to have to decided what to do. Wait for this one to be done then harvest both? Or harvest one at a time as they finish up? Decisions decisions. I'll figure it out in a week. Her branches are really jiggly now. No lean exactly, more like a sway. When she gets moved her top heavy branches sway a bit. Great sign for a heavy yield from a 17" plant. Or is it 19"? Either way, it's going to have a fantastic yield compared to her size. One advantage I am seeing with the longer finish is it will give me time to dry some Tropicana Cookies I am harvesting in a couple of days. I'll be wet trimming this time around and the dry time should only take about 5 to 7 days. Maybe 10, but I'd rather not try to stuff 4 plants in a 2x2 to dry. It's a recipe for disaster. 2 at a time stacked on top of each other. I'll be dropping the light intensity tomorrow or later this afternoon. Maybe even tonight during lights out so in the morning it will be ready for the new day of less light. As I've said before... Over and over... I'll be dropping the light power to 70% which should drop the DLI down to 36 mol/m²/d. Oh, btw, I use the Photone for my light measurements. It has a PAR meter, Lux, DLI and I Believe color spectrum? Kelvin? No clue what that does. I focus on DLI. It's a better reading than just PPFD. The environment is still messy... as always... I'm keeping the temp down to 74°. The humidity at 58%. So it's still too high, but I've done all I can to drop it down and it won't even go below 50% with the tent door wide open. It just won't. So unless I can get the humidity in my room down to like 30%, the humidity in the tent remains over 50%. Hopefully pulling the plants out daily is enough to prevent mold and other issues. There's also the two circular fans. They aren't at full power, but they don't need to be as there's two. Plenty of airflow. I'll really need to keep an eye on these plants. Maybe I'll take them out multiple times a day. Like 2 or 3. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.5° RH: 56.2% VPD: 1.25 kPa Update: I ordered a new dehumidifier for grow tents today. It should be here tomorrow. I'm guessing a lot of my problem with the humidity is my current dehumidifier. It barely pushes air. Cheap and well used. The new one is from Vivosun. A much more reputable company. May 14, 2024 Trichome day! Alright, so I took some video today. Not the best quality, but I hurt my back so I'm all shaky. The pics were a lost cause. Lol Banana Purple Punch A looks great! More leaning branches. This late in the grow, I don't care. They aren't leaning that bad and it's only showing how heavy these buds are. Trichomes are mostly cloudy with a bit left of clear and nowhere near enough amber. 5 to 6 more days I think. Banana Purple Punch B is so pretty. She has the faintest purple coming from the flowers, but not much. It is a sign that we may end up with a purple plant during flush. Trichomes are partly cloudy with 30% clear and next to no amber. She still has time to go. I'd say another 7 to 10 days. Now I'm overshooting it just incase. I don't think the plants noticed a difference in the light drop, or they did and it's not doing anything. However, I'm not sure what it should be doing. I'm guessing preserving trichomes? Makes sense. Anyway, it's staying at 36 mol/m²/d DLI. The environment is still an absolute mess. The humidity is at like 59% and as always, I can control the temp, but nothing changes the humidity. And it's like 55% humidity out today. Fail. Lol. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.3° RH: 59.0% VPD: 1.16 kPa May 15, 2024 Nothing to do today. They are still watered and whatnot. No changes in color yet either. I'm starting to think these both will be green phenomes. Or maybe they really aren't ready yet. It's just weird. What am I doing wrong to get all my plants to grow for so long? Oh well. This round is just different because of the other 4 plants that need this space. I really need them to finish up ASAP. No trichome check today. I can still t ell they aren't ready. The bottoms still have a majority of white pistils and the tops are just not there yet. I think they can get denser. They aren't quite rock hard yet, so I know they still have time. Banana Purple Punch A looks amazing. More leaning branches that are swaying in the breeze. No fade yet, but the leaves are starting to look ready for the fade. Maybe. Banana Purple Punch B is strong as ever. Definitely still packing on weight. Definitely not ready for harvest. Still another week I think. I'll check trichomes tomorrow on this one. I think I'll wait for her to be done then I can harvest both plants at once. The light seems to be just being a light now. I can't really see what it's doing, but I know the frost is there. Lol. So it must be doing something. The environment is killing me. Still over 60% and my room has climbed up to 60% as well. I have a heater running and the dehumidifier that I think is done working. My new one should be here today. And not a moment too soon. I should have replaced this one months ago. Unfortunately, I don't have much control over the heat anymore. The humidity is just over powering it and I can't get anything to change. I'm going to crank the heat and see if that helps. Like set it to 80° and see what happens. It's currently set to 74°. And 8 don't think that temp is high enough to combat the humidity. Crank it up! Grow System Environment: Temp: 72.9° RH: 63.0% VPD: .00 kPa May 16, 2024 Today is looking pretty good. I checked the trichomes on Banana Purple Punch B as she has the longest to go. I figure when she is done, Banana Purple Punch A will be as well. I've also watered them with plain water. PHed to 6.2. just a half gallon in the reservoirs. I'm not ready to let them dry out yet. Banana Purple Punch A looks great! Her branches are starting to lean a bit harder and her buds look amazing. No purple yet. Or at all. I'm not sure. But I'm certainly sure that the fade hasn't begun yet. I'm not bothering with trichomes for now. I'll just wait to see what her sister does. I'll check trichomes in a couple of days. Banana Purple Punch B looks amazing. Her buds are fat and dense. She smells great and stays strong. A bit more swaying. But it's the whole plant now. Wonderful! I checked the trichomes on this one. She is developing quite nicely. I'd say another 5 to 7 days? Maybe a little less if we're lucky. There's more cloudy trichomes than before and finally some amber. Much less clear as well. She definitely is nowhere near fading, so that's a concern for time. The light stays the same. It seems to be perfect for these two. So no changes. The environment is still a nightmare, but it's 86% humid outside and 63% in my room. Happily, not really, the humidity is down to 60%. Not good at all, but better than 63% or even 65%. I'm really hoping these ladies are super resilient. They should be. It's FastBuds and they have great genetics. The temp is fine. I haven't a bit higher to help some with the DLI. So it's hanging out around 76° to 77° for now. The new dehumidifier works way better than the other one. But a cool thing is that they are both small, so I fit them both in and it seems to be kinda working. It's keeping the humidity below what it is in my room, but not low enough. I know it will drop when I figure out how to drop it in my room. I really need a big dehumidifier for my room. That would solve quite a bit. May 17, 2024 Day 92 This is the last week of the Flowering phase. I'll be harvesting most likely next midweek or earlier. The goal is to harvest by the end of the week, but I don't think they will be done. Banana Purple Punch A looks amazing! Her branches are nice and leaning. Not too much, just enough. She's also starting to show signs of fade. Or at least unhappy leaves turning yellow. One weird thing I noticed is the back leaves all have signs of nitrogen toxicity. What's weird is that I haven't used nitrogen in over a week and the last time I used it, I did a quarter dose. This should not be happening. I'm confused. Other than that, it's the end and I'm not worried about it, but it's still weird. Any insight? Banana Purple Punch B looks great as well. Tons of orange pistils and lots of frost. What's nice is that a lot of that frost is still clear trichomes. Imagine what they will look like in the end. I'm so excited! Both plants still have water in their basins, so I'm going to let them drain out and most likely not water again. It should be about a week for them to dry out completely. Perfect timing for harvest. I may put Banana Purple Punch A in a dark period while Banana Purple Punch B finishes up for a couple days. I'm doing the same thing with my Tropicana Cookies. Lighting. Well, it hasn't changed. Lol. Duh. Hahahahaha. Another week of this light intensity. I've all but given up on the environment. It's got tons of airflow and lots of light. The temp is fine. It's just the damned humidity. I give up. I'll just keep removing the plants from the tent as need be. I didn't touch Banana Purple Punch A today though. She is propping up the last Tropicana Cookies for the next 2 days. I will however, make sure to inspect her as much as I can. And as soon as she is freed up, I'll be flipping her around. And pulling her away from the side of the tent. Same with Banana Purple Punch B. Both are squished for the moment. I also managed to get all 4 Sour Diesel plants in the tent after pulling one of the Tropicana Cookies. So these ladies are a bit tight for now. But only for a couple of days. If that. I was considering putting the Sour Diesel in the back and keeping the Tropicana Cookies up front for ease of access, but that will just cause chaos with bendy floppy branches. So I'm leaving it. It all fits. Snug as the Tetris skills I had to use to make it happen. Grow System Environment: Temp: 76.4° RH: 61.4% VPD: 1.17 kPa Quick update on lighting: I had to increase the light power up to 80% for the Sour Diesels now in the tent. They were at like 16 mol/m²/d instead of the 20 to 25 mol/m²/d it should be. Anyway, so the light was increased. It didn't change much. Some spots went back up to 40 mol/m²/d, and some went up to 38 mol/m²/d. Overall the spread is 34 to 40 mol/m²/d. These 2 should t have any issues with the light increase. I wonder if it will help along the maturing process. I don't know science. Maybe the dark does? Maybe they both do and just in different ways. Yah, that's it. May 18, 2024 Watering day. Both ladies got a full gallon reservoir refill of plain water today. No sense in running the Flawless Finish anymore. They have mere days left to maybe a week. I'll just keep extending the time until I'm right. Lol. Hopefully it will be the last watering. Neither plant is thirsty at all, so it should take around a week for the reservoirs to empty. Banana Purple Punch A looks great! She is nearly ready. No fade yet though. I don't really understand. Is she not fading because she isn't done yet? Or is this just how it's going to be? Insight? Lol. Banana Purple Punch B is coming along nicely. I don't think she is near done yet. I don't get why they are taking so long. Either way, when she's done, there will be some amazing bud. The light isn't hurting anything that I can tell. So it will stay the same. The environment is an absolute mess now. With more power to the light comes more heat. Now I'm stuck in the mid 60s for humidity and 78° for the temp. All bad. I've been checking each plant for mold, mildew, bud rot and anything else that doesn't look right. So far we're safe. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75.4° RH: 64.2% VPD: 1.06 kPa Can you say horrible environment? I'm so screwed. Even if I don't get any issues like bud rot, the humidity is doing a toll on trichome production. Update: After some research, I have found that high humidity can cause plant production to slow down significantly. That could be the problem I'm facing right now. My humidity is entirely way too high and the plants aren't able to take in water. And some other science I'm sure. Also, I've noticed the leaves on Banana Purple Punch A are really shiny and clawing just like nitrogen toxicity, but I'm in the second week of plain water and flushing agent. What gives? If anyone knows, I would greatly appreciate a comment or a DM. Thanks! May 19, 2024 Not a lot to do today. No watering or trichomes. Banana Purple Punch A is being weird with this nitrogen toxicity during flush. How would that work? Anyway, her leaves are starting to die off a little but no fade. Still, she has huge buds that smell wonderful. Banana Purple Punch B is starting to show a bit of color in her leaves. Just a hint of purple but just a hint. If she fades, it won't be for a bit. But it's time I don't really have. Let's hope she starts to fade quickly. Both have been in plain water for a week and before that a week of Flawless Finish. Must be more nutrients in the soil. Nothing to talk about with lighting. We all know where it's at. The environment. I'm really confused. So a week of high humidity and my room is also humid. Today, it's low humidity and my room is still high. Even with the door open from outside it's still high. Why? What sorcery is this? Anyway, the tent is still stuck at 65% humidity and temps are down to 73°. Grow System Environment: Temp: 72.5° RH: 68.3% VPD: 0.84 kPa May 20, 2024 We are starting to fade! Finally! Both ladies are starting to fade in their own way. No watering today. They definitely don't need it at all. Maybe a half gallon before the drying period. Banana Purple Punch A is fading in her own messed up unhappy way. Her leaves are super shiny and clawing like she has nitrogen toxicity, but she's flushing. I don't get it. Leaves are canoeing and turning yellow. Maybe this is her fading in the most messed up way. But she's fading. Some of her leaves are starting to get a purple hue. Her buds are super fat and stinky. It's wonderful. Banana Purple Punch B is the picture of a perfect small plant. She is fading like a normal plant. She's getting purple hues on her leaves, buds are developing purple as well. By the end, I hope to have a couple deep purple plants. I'm still wondering why it's taking so long. They should have been done weeks ago. The lighting is the same. The environment is the same. Although, it dropped to 40% outside yesterday and the humidity stubbornly stayed in the mid 60s. It makes no sense. Anyway, I'm stuck at 65% still and the temp is finally under control again. I have it a bit low for the last bit of flowering at 73° it's going to be hot today, so I'm hoping my room stays cool. Maybe the humidity will drop again and I can try to get the humidity to come down. Grow System Environment: Temp: 72.6° RH: 67.7% VPD: 0.86 kPa May 21, 2024 Trichome day! Some good things happening today. Both ladies are looking great! They finally have some fade going on. Not a lot, but some. Banana Purple Punch A is almost out of water. I'm going to let her dry out a bit more and then add another half gallon to her reservoir. Her trichomes are starting to show more amber. Maybe 5% now? About 10% clear and the rest are cloudy. She still has a bit more time to go. I'd say another 5 to 7 days? Maybe slightly less? Hopefully slightly less. Banana Purple Punch B has a saturated bottom. I think it's because the roots never grew out of the container, so the soil is sucking up all the water and I guess the roots are not? I'm not sure, but I can def say that she is barely drinking. I'll pull the wicks tomorrow. Her trichomes are looking great. She has around the same as her sister plant. About 5% amber, 10% clear and the rest cloudy. Both plants have huge dense buds. I can only imagine how much more dense they will get over the next few days while they finish up. We finally got the central air on in the house. It made all the difference in the environment. Well, that was until it shut off and then my room needed assistance. In the form of wet cold air. Definitely not good there, but the AC will kick on in no time. It's 80° out today, so I expect the central air to kick on anytime now. When it's on, the humidity drops to 56% and the temp stays at 74°. Very nice. Grow System Environment: Temp: 72.7° RH: 62.9% VPD: 1.00 kPa May 22, 2024 Nothing to do today with these two. I might have to water Banana Purple Punch A in a little while. I was hoping I could get away with it, but I think she is dried up enough for another half gallon of tap water PHed to 6.1. Banana Purple Punch A looks good but has clear signs of previous stress. Interesting. Her tops are leaning even harder now. Those buds must be super heavy. The branches are pretty thick. Banana Purple Punch B looks amazing. Purple is coming in quickly. Her buds are definitely denser and fatter now. Probably as big as they will get. Now it's just time for her to mature. I have a small problem. I have 1 Tropicana Cookies left and 4 Sour Diesels in pre-flower in the tent as well. Suffice it to say, I need to make room for the Sour Diesels to stretch. And that could start anyway now. I'm concerned I'm going to run into massive crowding and cause mold. As it is, the humidity is still really high, so I don't want to risk it. All that being said, I might now be able to wait for perfect doneness with these ladies. I might have to harvest them in a matter of a couple days. The last Tropicana Cookies in the tent should be pulled either tomorrow or the next day, unless the Sour Diesels start to significantly stretch, then all three including these two will have to be pulled. So there you go have it. My current issue is space for 7 plants in a 3x3 tent. I know, I'm ridiculous. But you gotta do what you gotta do. On a side note, I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong to always have plants go way past their time. Seriously, it kind of messes with my schedule. For example the Sour Diesels. Those were planted on 4/20 and these ladies were supposed to be fully done a week later. But it's been 4 more weeks and they still aren't done. Total wrench in my plans. What could I be doing wrong? The environment is still a mess. The central air hasn't kicked on yet, so I'm relying on my own portable AC. The problem with that is it blows out really humid air when the compressor kicks off. So my humidity is high again. Over 60% yet again. The temp is fine at 75°. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75.7° RH: 59.4% VPD: 1.20 kPa May 23, 2024 Last day of the week and we have some real purple coming in now. Especially on Banana Purple Punch B. Most of her tops are now a nice deep purple. Leaves are also getting the nice purple hue as well. Banana Purple Punch A looks great. Lots of leaning branches now. She should be ready for harvest in just a few days. Not as much purple as I'd hoped, but it's fine. Her buds still look fantastic. Banana Purple Punch B is quite nice. She has super heavy tops and should be ready in maybe 5 days. There's still too many white pistils on the lowers. I can't express how nicely the purple is coming in. A little late from what I've seen in other grows, but here nonetheless. She still hasn't finished her gallon of water and it's been well into a week. I think I'll turn off the bottom feed system for her tomorrow. It should be perfect timing for her last week of life. I definitely cannot change the lighting for these two. The Sour Diesels need more of it. I'll have to drop it down soon, they are growing pretty fast and starting to seriously pray. Too much. So the light will remain her for now. I might still lower the light and turn down the intensity. I'm not sure yet. The environment is starting to calm down. Not quite fast enough for my liking to be honest. Currently the temp is around 76.5° and the humidity is still high at 61%, but it will drop in a little while. Maybe we can get down to 50% today. Update: I've decided to give these two no more than a week to finish up. Both of the Tropicana Cookies are out now and they are taking around 5 days to dry, maybe 7. But no longer than that. The other reason is the Sour Diesels that are now sharing the tent are in pre-flower and will need the space ASAP. Grow System Environment: Temp: 76.2° RH: 60.6% VPD: 1.18 kPa

May 24, 2024 Day 99 This is the last week for these ladies. They have until the end of this week and then harvest no matter what. I'd much prefer to harvest them sooner, but I don't have space in my dry tent. It's only a 2x2 and the Tropicana Cookies just finished up and will be in there for about 7 days. Banana Purple Punch A needs a half gallon of water today. She's not done yet and she's all dried up. So I'll give her that half gallon of plain water today PHed to 6.1 and that's it. She should be dry again in a week. I'll be checking trichomes today as well. I'll update when I finish up. Banana Purple Punch B is amazing. She smells wonderful and now with the Tropicana Cookies out of the tent, her aroma can shine. Wow. I'll be checking trichomes as well today. She also finished up her reservoir but she's still pretty moist. It must have emptied yesterday. This may last the week. I'll need a few days for her to dry out as well. So I might have to add a bit more water. Maybe a quarter gallon? Just enough for her to last the rest of the week. I'll see how she is tomorrow. The environment is still a bit wonky. The humidity is still in the mid 50's% with the temp being around 73°. It's currently at 76° and 57% humidity. Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.2° RH: 56.7% VPD: 1.17 kPa May 25, 2024 It's rainy today and naturally, the humidity in my room is stupid high. So in the tent the humidity is back to 60%. I'll be opening the tent door again every couple of hours today. Banana Purple Punch A is starting to look like a hot mess. Tops are starting to flop over and there's a super weird fade going on. Leaves that just curled up and turned super dead yellow. Some of the leaves are showing purple, and the tops are getting purple hues. Still a bit of a mess. Banana Purple Punch B is getting more and more purple. Her leaves are starting to lighten up as well. We can certainly see the start of the fade. The tops have nearly all purple sugar leaves. The buds are still pretty green. I wonder how it works with this one. We shall see over the next 6 days. I might have to add a half gallon of water to her reservoir. She's already a bit too dry to last the week. So I'll do that later today I think. Maybe first thing tomorrow. Harvest time is 6 days away now. Both ladies are looking super close to being done. Hell, I may even go past the ideal time by a couple days. That's perfectly fine. I could use a good sedative. The environment is back to being an absolute mess. The temp is at 75°, which is fine. But the humidity is back up to 60%. Hopefully I can get the humidity to drop a bit. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75.1° RH: 55.1% VPD: 1.30 kPa May 26, 2024 These 2 are shaping up to be some heavy yielders. Both have massive buds and are on their way to being fully done. Another 5 days I think and they will be ready for harvest. However, I may have to keep them in there for a few extra days. The Tropicana Cookies in the dry tent are taking a bit longer to dry than I anticipated. Banana Purple Punch A looks great. I ended up using a piece of a plant tie to prop up one of the most leaning tops. Looks great now. Much more light penetration to the lowers. Banana Purple Punch B is absolutely amazing right now. MASSIVE buds that weigh a whole lot. She finally has a distinct purple look to her. And it's just getting more and more purple. When she is done, I believe she will have some beautiful foliage and lots of dark purple leaves. She got about 1/3 of a gallon of water today to the reservoir. She was dry and she has much too long to go before she should be that dry. The leaves are all starting to turn a bright green and fading into deep purples and yellows with orange. Fall foliage indeed. I'll also be doing a full defoliation in 3 days I think. I want to clear as much foliage as I can before wet trimming. It doesn't seem as though wet trimming will be all that bad. There's sugar leaves, but they are big instead of plentiful. So it should be pretty quick. Drying may pose an issue. If the humidity keeps up like this, I'll have a lot of trouble keeping it below 62% in the dry tent. We have a few days left anyway, so maybe it will go back down by then. The light is the same. I did take the DLI today and the average is about 40 mol/m²/d, so that's fine. I'd much rather it be closer to 36 mol/m²/d, but then it would interrupt the Sour Diesels in the tent that just started to flower. The environment is really off today. It's super humid out and it's showing and killing my good vibes. The temp is a bit low at 73°. I would prefer it to be 75° during the day. It helps with all the plants in the tent. Oh well not won't stay low for long. It should start to creep up later today. The humidity is still super high at 63% today. Grow System Environment: Temp: 75.2° RH: 60.9% VPD: 1.15 kPa May 27, 2024 Both ladies got a half gallon in their reservoirs today. Both were way too dry for now, sona half gallon should last them at least the night. Just 4 more days and we can harvest. Unless this humidity doesn't let up, then I have to wait even longer for the Tropicana Cookies to dry. AND risk mold! Damn it! Banana Purple Punch A is starting to get floppy. I hooked some of the tops to each other so they will stand. A couple outer branches were starting to fall as well, so the were also tied up. Hopefully that solves the issue for the next 4 days. Maybe 5 or even 6 now. Too long in my opinion. She doesn't have much in terms of fading but it's starting at least. Her leaves are all messed up. So I'm not bothering with the fade honestly. If she fades, she fades. I'll be defoliating in 2 days anyway. Then wet trimming, so the leaves aren't really a thing to bother with now. She also has lowers with white pistils. They are developed, but the pistils are still white. Those are going to change in. Matter of days. Banana Purple Punch B is shaping up to be the best plant of this run. She's actually the shortest, but has the best structure and the most solid buds and a lot of them. She's also doing quite well in her final days. Her leaves are turning dark purple with the lowers turning bright green. She got a quarter gallon of water yesterday and drank it up almost immediately. I think I'll have to keep her watered for the next couple of days. She will certainly dry out quickly when I stop watering, so I think she will only need a couple days to fully dry out. Currently, she is about 34% soil moisture content. Not bad at all. It might go up to 45% with the half gallon, but no higher. I haven't done trichomes in a few days. I may get a video in today or tomorrow. Both plants could use a good viewing. Not that it matters, as I have to schedule my harvest, regardless of doneness. But we'll check them for science. The environment is back to being the bane of my existence. Seriously, it's driving me insane. So the humidity is WAY up at 65% with the temp being around 74°. It's horrible. I really don't want to keep opening the tent. It just takes away precious light space. The average night temp was also high at 70° with the humidity still being up at 64% I have no idea how these ladies haven't gotten bid rot or mold. Maybe it's because it's like a wind tunnel in there. Exhaust on full power, two 6 inch oscillating clip fans facing each other. There's no space untouched by some sort of airflow. It's not a heavy wind, but like a light breeze. Update: I finally took some trichome videos and was a bit surprised at what I found. Both plants have tons of cloudy barely any clear and a good amount of amber. The extra 4 to 6 days may be a bit too long. We shall see. Some of the lowers still have white pistils and only have amber trichomes on the leaves. So there's time for them to finish up. We'll see how this works out. Grow System Environment: Temp: 74.3° RH: 60.8% VPD: 1.11 kPa May 28, 2024 Very late entry today. I was quite busy wet trimming Banana Purple Punch A for the chop. Yep, you heard it. The chop. One of the Tropicana Cookies finished drying today and I thought it was time to harvest her. So she got a full wet trim and is hanging in the dry tent. She weighs in at a total of 22.26 oz wet hang. She has heavy buds, so the weight retention should be impressive. Maybe 5 oz? Maybe 4. Not bad. Banana Purple Punch B will be harvested when the last Tropicana Cookies is done. That should be in about 4 to 5 days. Currently I have her moved to the back of the tent with the Sour Diesels taking over the rest. She looks great. More and more purple. The environment is still crazy. Super high humidity and nothing I can do about it. I've tried AC, no AC and just started the heater. Something has to work. Grow System Environment: Temp: 72.5° RH: 63.2% VPD: 0.98 kPa May 29, 2024 Nothing to do today. Banana Purple Punch A is on her first day of drying and I expect it to take 10 to 14 days based on the current environment in the dry tent. I did put a dehumidifier in there to help clear it out. It won't be permanent. Just until I can get the humidity back down to 60%. Then it will come out and go back in the 3x3. This will then help regulate the humidity for Banana Purple Punch B. Banana Purple Punch B looks great! She will be harvested whenever the dry tent has a free spot. Should be in about 4 to 6 days, unless the humidity drops below 60% and then maybe 3, but I doubt it. I also finally was able to take her off the risers and it worked a charm. The Sour Diesels in the tent aren't being overshadowed anymore and she is at a perfect light distance. With the drop of the risers, the canopy DLI is now 38 mol/m²/d. Over the next few days, it should make the buds even more purple and dense. The 3x3 environment is around 63% and at 73°. Still super high. The dehumidifier should start working soon. We will see a small drop in humidity. Maybe a jump in temp, but I need to get the humidity down somehow. The temp is nice and low for this lady, but not great for the other plants. I'd rather it be around 75° or even better 74.5°. Because I was able to remove the risers from Banana Purple Punch B, I finally could lower the light for the Sour Diesels. The DLI is at 38 mol/m²/d with the power at 60%. Looking great! Grow System Environment: Temp: 73.3° RH: 63.2% VPD: 1.01 kPa May 30, 2024 Lots to do today. Well, this afternoon. I finally pulled the final Tropicana Cookies out of the dry tent and now it's ready for Banana Purple Punch B. I may actually leave her in the dark for a day or 2 just under her sister plant that is currently drying. Banana Purple Punch A is enjoying her second day of drying. It's actually a bit dry in the tent now. A good day out. But a bit too dry for a solid week. It should increase when I put her sister in the tent. She still has a good way to go. Maybe another 8 days if I can push it that far. Banana Purple Punch B will be getting fully defoliated this afternoon. Then I think I'll put her in the dry tent for a day or 2. A nice dark period to stress her out a bit. Not to mention it will increase the humidity a bit in there as well. I'll do a full wet trim in a day or 2 when she is done with the dark period. It should also give her time to fully dry out her container. And give a final push in trichome production. I'm not going to bother with the environment today. It won't matter until tomorrow. Then I'll get dark tent data. Grow System Environment: Temp: 72.4° RH: 57.1% VPD: 1.13 kPa

May 31, 2024 Harvest day. Finally! Banana Purple Punch A was 22 oz wet trimmed. Day 3 drying Banana Purple Punch B was 20.5 oz wet trimmed. These 2 were a breeze to work with. Even though Banana Purple Punch A got some nutrient burn. She still pulled through with a happy wet weight. I'm guessing based on the size of the buds and how dense they are, we will have a decent weight retention. Maybe 4.5 oz for Banana Purple Punch A and 4 oz for Banana Purple Punch B. I'll say this. The aroma of these ladies was straight banana. And SUPER potent. Nealy overwhelming. I'll update at least the day of drying until they are done. I'm guessing 7 days for each. However, my dry tent is too dry. No clue why. I may have to put a humidifier in the tent. I know you shouldn't do that, but I need the humidity to be above 52%. June 1, 2024 Banana Purple Punch A Day 4 Drying. Banana Purple Punch B Day 1 Drying. Nothing to really discuss today. We are all looking good. Still need to install the humidifier. The temp is pretty good though. At 66°, but still way too dry. I'm concerned for Banana Purple Punch A. I don't need her drying out too quickly. I took a sample from Banana Purple Punch A today. The stem is completely wet, but the buds were definitely nearly dry. No gummy grinder, no grass smell, just some good weed. I'll keep I'll check her tomorrow. I'm assuming she will be done by tomorrow or the next day. Dry Tent Environment: Temp: 67.8° RH: 51.8% VPD: 1.12 kPa June 2, 2024 Banana Purple Punch A Day 5 Drying. The smallest of twiggy branches had a nice snap, but anything bigger isn't quite there yet. I'd say another day in the current environment. 60% humidity and 68° Banana Purple Punch B Day 2 Drying Update: I ended up manicuring and bagging Banana Purple Punch A. The moisture meter read 10.5, so I decided to finish them up. The humidity is super high today as it's raining, so the branches started absorbing water. The buds started as well, but now I have them in a Grove Bag. It's reading 63%, so it'll need a couple days of actual curing. I think it's a bit better to bag with more moisture and burp verses over drying and having to rehydrate the buds. I mean, of course the perfect time would be ideal, but I found that the fluctuation of the environment in my situation, needed to be bagged with even more control. I think I'll leave Banana Purple Punch B in the drying tent for as long as I can. So far the humidity hasn't gone below 58% so if I can keep it there and drop the temp, I can leave her in there for 10 to 14 days. Dry Tent Environment: Temp: 69.4° RH: 58.1% VPD: 1.03 kPa June 3, 2024 Banana Purple Punch A is smelling great! She's showing 64% in the grove bag, but that is probably because it's 68% humidity in my room. Unfortunately, this is the only place in the house I can store and cure my weed. So I have to fight it. I opened the bag and dumped the buds on a trimming tray in the dry tent. Not much happened except the humidity in the dry tent was 66% for the half hour they were in there, so it didn't do much of anything if anything at all. Banana Purple Punch B Day 3 Drying. Nothing else to say, she's drying and it will be SLOW. Very slow with this humidity climbing up above 65%. I'm afraid of mold. I have air circulation and the exhaust is running at about 40% power. So everything should be ok. I've also noticed the carbon filter for the dry tent is starting to lose its effectiveness. There is a slight cannabis smell coming from the outlet. It could just be how strong the aroma is for Banana Purple Punch B, cuz it's strong. That's it for today. I'm not bothering with the environmental readings. It's too warm and too humid. Lol. June 4, 2024 The humidity spiked yet again. Smh. I have the exhaust fan at half power now to keep the air flowing. Hopefully that prevents mold in this what looks to be a long dry. It'll be hot today, so the central air should kick on around noon. But for now the humidity is around 66%. Entirely way too high. The temp, however, is alright at 68°. I'd much rather the temp be below 65°, but I just can't get it down. I'm really hoping my hydrometer just needs to be calibrated or something. Reason being it's a dark tent with a fan going. The room temp is 69° and the humidity is 67%. One would think the temp would be much lower than 68° and the humidity should be higher in the tent. Alas, I have no idea how to fix this. I left the tent door open for a little bit to try and air out the tent, but there shouldn't be any old air issues. It's a 4 inch inline fan. No problems with suction in a 2x2. I'll keep fighting it until the A/C comes on. If anyone has any ideas, please leave a comment. I'd love a bit of guidance not only for this run, but future runs as well. Banana Purple Punch B Day 4 Drying. I'll note the current weight tomorrow. It makes sense as that would be midway through the drying time. I'm willing to bet she lost half her weight by now, if not more. June 5, 2024 Banana Purple Punch B Day 5 Drying. Day 5 Dry weight: 6.0 oz. That's a 71% loss so far. However, I'm guessing she won't lose much more weight. I ended up doing a snap test on some twigs and they are about 2 to 3 days out. Maybe 4 of the humidity doesn't let up. Speaking of humidity, it dropped down fairly low after the A/C kicked on. It was down for the majority of the evening and a few hours through the night. Unfortunately, it didn't last and is now back up to 63%. It's not too bad, but I'd rather the humidity be around 58% for this plant. Dense buds and all. But I'll take the higher humidity if it means a better dry. I don't think 63% is any good though, so I'll still try to keep it below 62%. Dry Tent Environment: Temp: 70.8° RH: 58.0% VPD: 1.08 kPa June 6, 2024 Banana Purple Punch B day 6 drying. It's humid. Like really $#@&ing humid. The dry tent is suffering horribly. It's 69% in there and there's nothing I can do about it. I can't seem to get the humidity to drop at all. I might put a dehumidifier in there to dry out out some, but then the temp will increase and that's already at 70°. That's too high on its own. All that being said, this will put major stress on the plant while it dries. And if I have learned anything, cannabis is like a sponge for water. So it's back to being wet now. I think it will be another 4 to 5 days. Which is about what I was planning on the first place, but that was with the correct environment. Not this horse shit. I should weigh it. It was 6 oz yesterday, so I wonder what it will be like today with all this humidity. 6.5 oz? Wouldn't that be insane? Dry Tent Environment: Temp: 70.1° RH: 59.3% VPD: 1.03 kPa June 7, 2024 Banana Purple Punch B Day 7 Drying The environment is still a little wonky. The humidity is just over 62% and the temp is just under 70°. Not ideal, but within range. Barely. I have a lot of airflow even though it's a dry tent. I need the airflow to keep mold spores from getting all over the plant. Banana Purple Punch A smells great. The Grove Bag is still sitting at 63%, but I plan on dumping the bag out later today. I want to air them out for a half hour or so. Dry System Environment: Temp: 68.5° RH: 60.3% VPD: 0.95 kPa June 8, 2024 Banana Purple Punch B Day 8 Drying. She needs another couple of days I think. No snap yet. The environment is starting to even out... For now. It's supposed to rain this evening, so the humidity and wetness will return. However, for now it's looking pretty good. The temp is still at 70°, but the humidity is at 61%. So that's good. Not the temp, but the humidity. Dry Tent Environment: Temp: 69.3° RH: 59.5% VPD: 0.99 kPa June 9, 2024 Banana Purple Punch B Day 9 Drying. I got a single snap from a small twig today. Unfortunately the rest of the branches are still bendy. But it tells me she only has a day or 2 left. She smells amazing. The sharp plant smell is finally gone and now it's just pure Banana Purple Punch. Sweet and pungent. And lots of Banana smell. The environment has stayed pretty consistent over the past few days. Hovering around 60% with a temp of 70°. I know the temp is a bit high, but it's the best I can do. Even when I bring the temp in my room down to 65° the dry tent only goes down to 68°. Dry System Environment: Temp: 69.4° RH: 58.9% VPD: 1.01 kPa June 10, 2024 Banana Purple Punch B Day 10 Drying. Still bendy branches. But getting very close. Sometime, within the next two days, she will be ready. It could be tonight, or in 2 days. At this point it's so slow I think I could push to 14 days. I most likely won't be doing that though. I need to either put a different plant in this tent or take it down for more space in my room. I'm pretty sure the environment is looking pretty good. The temp in my room is lower today and the humidity dropped a little bit. So we are definitely below 62% and the temp should be around 60%. My hydrometer shut off and I need to restart it. I'll update with real numbers later when I fix it. Update: The temp is at 68° and the humidity is at 58%. So looking good. I also took a small sample. No real snap, but the little twig snapped at the base of the side branch. Still... Not quite there yet. The grind is pretty good, but the bud doesn't stay lit as it should. So she's not ready. But the bud smells and tastes amazing. Curing will only make it better. June 11, 2024 Banana Purple Punch B Day 11 Drying. Yet another day of drying. I seriously cannot wait to sample this plant. She smells amazing. The buds look great. I've noticed that the branches don't seem to be hardening off. And if they are, I can't tell. It just feels the same as yesterday. Which felt the same as the day before. Or I'm just not paying enough attention. Either way, I'm still waiting for a snap of any kind. It could be later today or tomorrow. At this point I'm just guessing. Eventually I'll get the time down and know how long it will take in the future. Update: So I checked the small twigs and a couple bud sites. I found that the small twigs would snap at different angles and some not at all. Same with the bud sites. However, while checking one of the bud sites, a part of the bud popped off. Like it was getting brittle. I don't know what that means, but I'm bagging this plant today. The cure will bring out the extra moisture, if there even is any, over time. I'll wait a couple hours and see how she looks, but she is getting bagged at some point today. June 12, 2024 Both plants are curing at 60%. Perfect. Just wanted to mention that. I'll come back in a few months to update. You know, after the curing process is complete and we are just in the storage phase.
