12/25/2021 Got some good growth this week.

She’s in the small tent now with the more mature PT plant. Once I harvest the PT, this big girl will get the entire 2x3 tent. I think she will fill in nicely and has shown lots of vigor. Nice even tops for the most part with a few smaller branches straggling behind. The PT is almost ready to chop and then it’s this one’s time to shine. I haven’t been feeding her heavily, I may up her nutes soon. The other white widow clone in the larger tent was lollipopped as well as monster cropped like this one was so I’m excited to compare the two techniques side by side to see which buds I like better. I selectively crossed all female strains with my male plant who is in a separate room from the girls. Branches marked with a green tie are pollinated. The male was originally in the tent these girls are in so I’m hoping I removed him in time. If not I may have some random seeds in these buds. I did spray the tent down between plants but I’m unsure if water really renders pollen unviable. Regardless, seeds are a good thing... all these girls are in flower because it is my last grow. Here’s to hoping I get decent bud and some neat seeds for the future whenever I am able to grow again. 🌱👩‍🌾🏼

Week 9 of Flower - Beautiful colours and a crazy smell

In the next few days Bio Vega will be sold and exchanged for Bio Flores. Nothing is trimmed and removed. From this week on, she will also receive Bio Boost, so that the flowers can develop nicely. 🌱 Week 5, Day 1 – Veg Update 🌱 Hey everyone! We’re officially on Week 5, Day 1 of the veg cycle, and everything is looking fantastic so far! The plants are healthy, vibrant, and showing some solid growth, which has me excited to flip them into flower soon—maybe at the start of Week 6, but I’m taking it day by day. That said, I have noticed a bit of nutrient burn creeping in, which is a little strange considering the PPMS are sitting at just 450 ppm. The PPFD output is also where it should be, so I’m thinking it could be a minor fluctuation in nutrient uptake or possibly slight environmental factors playing a role. To be cautious, I’ve dialed back the feeding a bit to see if that helps. I'll give it a couple of days and keep a close eye on them. The goal is to give them a solid week of recovery before we hit the next big step. Once we hit that one-week mark, it’s time for a deep, heavy lollipop and some defoliation to really clear out the lower growth, ensuring all energy is focused on the top colas. After that, we’ll flip them into flower and get that SCROG net in place. Things are about to get real! Stay tuned for more updates as we get closer to flowering! 🌸

Compared to her sister, this Pineapple Express auto flowered very early! I LST'd her while I could, and defoliated what was necessary. She turned out great! Although the yield for this phenotype is at my lower limit for acceptable. I'm happy that I'm growing a second one, that vegged out longer, making for a much larger Pineapple Express!

Beginning of week.. I raised the lights a little.. They are at 50% power at 18" (roughly) from the plants. The ladies are getting from 420 to 500 PPFD. Went ahead and fed them some extra FloraMicro this week.. I'm guessing they are just very hungry girls.. And I'm thinking the pH in the rootzone issue is not clearing up at all.. BUT.. It seems like no matter what pH I water them with.. The runoff ALWAYS comes out at 5.8 or 5.9 with the Mandarin Cookies and 5.8 or 5.7 with the ETHOS Cookies.. So if you want to reuse your coco coir.. Make sure to remove ALL the roots. The girls dont look too bad at all.. And that's why I'm guessing they just needed more nutes in the mix.. We shall see how this week goes! Mid week.. They are looking alot better! Mandarin Cookies is exploding woth growth.. ETHOS Cookies is growing slow but she is growing for sure.. I think I may need to remove a node or 2 on the ETHOS Cookies.. I could just leave it.. But the very top 2 are covering alot of tops.. I could make some clones from it.. Hmm.. All-in-all.. I'm happy with how these girls are growing for now tho.. This rootzone issue isnt going away.. But I think I found a way to make it work out.. I've been watering a little differently.. Here is a bit of an example: Day 1: Feed at 6.5 Day 3: Water at 6.4 Day 5: Feed at 6.3 Day 7: Water at 6.2 Day 9: Feed at 6.5 Day 11: Water at 6.4 Day 13: Feed at 6.3 Day 15: Water at 6.2 Etc... The runoff is staying above 5.5 each time.. But as I lower the pH, the runoff pH lowers as well (obviously).. So I think watering this way has helped keep these gorgeous ladies happy.. And theyare also very hungry.. I may have to start watering one plant every other day.. Water plant 1 tomo.. Water plant 2 the next day.. Then plant 1 the next day and then plant 2 the next day etc... 1 reason I want to start doing it that way is because I think the ETHOS Cookies isn't needing as much nutes as the Mandarin Cookies.. But they are looking great. Very happy and so are they! The heat has been insane lately.. So at the hottest part of the day I try to just turn the light down to 25% for 4 hours or so.. I hate having to do that.. But it's all I can do for now.. Or maybe change the light/dark hours.. Blah.. Whatever, they are happy! End of week.. I supercropped 2 branches.. They pretty much healed up and are already back to normal.. Like it didnt bring them down any lower at all lol.. It straightened back up and its as if nothing happened.. Just a big ass (MOOSE) knuckle lol.. But I stopped using the Kushie Kush and was just using the normal Gen Hydro FloraBloom in the mix. Will be upping the FloraGro next week! Wow.. Such hungry ladies! It's been so long since I've grown a bigger photo period.. I forgot how much they can take!.. On to the next!...

Looking good. Trying to get over the leaf necrosis. I probably over fed them. It seems the shorter stalkier, indica style plants are handling everything a little bit better than the taller more stretched out ones. Maybe it's just a genetic sensitivity to overfeeding?

They are all showing preflower and chugging along nicely.
