They were all very slow to start compared to all the other strains I grew and seemed to dislike everything I was doing. Real problem children.... They were runty until about the last 2 weeks of their lives, then really packed it on and ripened quickly. I was really surprised they weighed as well as they did, but they all really fattened up with I added the other QB, bringing the total wattage to 360w in the 5 sq ft space. Didn't keep separate weights, but the total was 168g...roughly 40g's per plant. Final thoughts: Of the 6 DD's I've grown over the past couple of years, they are consistently a pain in my ass, and poor-producers.. but it's top-shelf bud. It's prolly the wife's favorite flavor, so I gotta grow a little every season... Aroma: 9/10 Flavor: 9/10 Potency: 8/10 Yield: 6/10 Bag-appeal: 8/10 Ease of growing: 3/10

The culmination of reversing our Matterhorn cut off Mr. Crowley to Intergalactic Runtz, and the results were out of this world (I had to do it). These ladies were slow to start, but once they hit their stride they put any worries we had to rest. Compact, short-framed, and robust. They pack beautifully boulder-like flowers that reek of garlic and sickly sweet cotton candy. Dark green to a mosaic of purples, yellows, and silvers. Frost production is off the charts, the internode spacing is tight, and they certainly will impress in their last few weeks of flower. This is one of our favorite crosses in the new fem lineup. Feb. 2020 - 90 Days grown from Seed - Topped at Day 22 37g total dry weight, after I gave them a very nice trim. They started curing in glass jars on 20/2/2020 and are currently between 61-63%RH inside. Burping every other hour for couple of minutes. She's a beauty, her colors, her stickiness, everything. Her fade 😍😍😍She took well to late topping & nutrients, didn't show any overfeeding etc.; Lots of crystals started showing at the beginning of week 9; Started fading in Week 10 (might have been enhanced by Flawless Finish). Pink & Yellow leaves, orange hair, soooooooo many crystals. I’m in love whooooaaaaaaa 😍 Trimming her took me 2 days, never have I trimmed a plant that sticky, it's not hard, since only my 2nd grow, still... WOW 😍She was almost crumbling of glitter, very different experience from trimming the other plants. I tried collecting all her kief, just moving her from tray to tray, she lost a lot. I must say, collecting kief sucks, I don't have the right tools, it seems. Please share your trimming & collecting technique and tools. Day 90 - 15. Feb of 2020 - she was chopped and put in a vase full of PH water in a dark place for 48 hours. Day 92 - 17. Feb - she moved into the drying tent. Her trichomes were nicely amber with some milky and some clear, good mix. Only 3 days later - 20. Feb - I panic harvested her out of the tent. My two other plants got really dry, so I panicked and cut her stems down and put them into jars. So she had a total dry time of 6 days, if you include the 2 days in darkness. I monitored the humidity, it spiked up to 70%, that's when I took them out, spread them and aired them out for several hours. Back in the jars they sit at a comfortable 65% now, being burped and pampered every day

October 9, 2021: Everything is moving right along. Flowering in full effect! Still showing signs of overwatering, but getting better. I haven't watered them at all this week. They are almost dried out enough to start watering again. I'm learning these 'self watering' pots I purchased basically suck and should be treated the same as any other 3 gallon pot. Lesson learned. I still like the concept of Sub Irrigation Planter (SIP) pots. I'll be building some SIP pots of my own with 5 gallon buckets in the future. Blackberry is 14" tall and has nice purple colors coming in. I did some additional defoliation on her this week and really like the way she is looking now (minus the overwatering) Critical+ is 22" tall and has good bud development. Her leaves are more yellowed, but that hasn't seemed to affect her bud development. I'm guessing we have 4-5 weeks to go until harvest time. I have planted 4 new photo period seeds (new journal up - check it out). I'll be flipping this tent to 12-12 as soon as these two girls have harvested. Until next week... Happy Growing!!! ✊

Day 22, 01.05.2024 - Not much to do but to further guide Erika II by imposing LST for better light usage of lower leaves Day 23, 02.05.2024 - Again a slow day. Just put in some wooden pins to provide some more light to the lower leaves - soil is again getting bone dry. Since I only water with about 10% of the pot volume I think it might be time already tomorrow, maybe in the afternoon / evening - also raised the lights to ~30cm above canopies again - Erika II is catching up in height - maybe I can remove the lifting box in a couple of days Day 24, 03.05.2024 - decided to give the ladies some water inkl. a fertilizer cocktail (~500ml each) - bought a couple of longer wooden sticks to guide the leaves & branches. May install a scrog net just for better organization/ handling - removed 2 leaves in total - also I am now positive: Erika I is definitely going into flowering Day 25, 04.05.2024 - Erika II catched up to Erika I in height so I removed the lifting piece. Now both plants are leveled on top and bottom (more or less) - Decided to remove some leaves. I removed every leaf that a) pointed inwards plus b) covered other parts of the plant - soil is again getting dry. Thinking about watering them in the morning Day 26, 05.05.2024 - Gave a round of water & nutrition: 500ml each Day 27, 06.05.2024 - Judging from the timelapse of the past days (see video!) I recognized: 500ml each second day might not be enough (mind you: it is only ~10% of the pot volume). Also after feeding the growing seems to explode :D (I fed for example on 05.05., ~17:00 hours). So I decided to give another round of drinks this evening (400ml each inkl. Fertilizer) at 20:45 which is around 24h after the last feeding. - Just realized: I did not measure their heights in quite some time. At end of week 4 both are clocking in at 27cm from top of soil. - Both showing now that they are ladies clearly - so I declare "End of Veggie" Day. - Removed 1 small bud on the lower part of Erika II. Also removed 1 leaf at Erika I that pointed inwards & blocked light. - Raised the lights to match 30cm above canopies again Day 28, 07.05.2024 - not much to do but to watch the ladies explode in height: they gained about 4cm in 2 days :) - watering is going to happen tomorrow This day also concludes week 4.

Dropped RQS Diesel Automatic this week, she has not sprouted out of the soil yet, but its only been 4 days. I expect her to pop in the next 24-48 hours. I'll add new pics once she sprouts. Planning a slightly different strategy with this girl. no HST, only LST, and FIM'ing instead of topping. Looking forward to watching what happens. She is front-center in the group pics. My Perpetual Harvest strategy…. Originally my plan was to start 2 seeds each month, but had some seeds from one breeder that did not germinate early in my rotation. Ultimately, this caused single seeds to pop and messed up my 2 at a time plans. But, that seemed to work out OK, because now I think starting one seed every 3 weeks is a better strategy. This should provide me with 4-5 plants at a time, instead of 6. By the way, I never had any germination problems with seeds from other breeders. (I don’t want to bad mouth any breeders, but the seeds that didn’t germinate came from a popular breeder/advertiser that is most commonly known by 4 letters). Plants get fed once weekly on weekends. Seedlings get water only. Plants in vegetation get water and Recharge. Flowering plants get water, Recharge and Big Bloom (Fox Farm). Feeding is done using 2 gallon watering can. Any additional waterings during the week are given on an as needed basis per plant. I lift the plants to help determine which plants are more dry (lighter) and provide water any plants via water bottles and watering spikes. I also rotate each plant 90 degrees every day in an effort to make sure the plants get equal lighting from all sides. I rotate the plant in place by turning the pot 90 degrees (I am not rearranging the layout of the plants in the tent on a daily basis). The soil is an ‘organic super soil’ I mixed myself using organic top soil, organic potting soil, organic compost, organic peat moss, organic perlite, organic vermiculite, lime, epsom salt, expanded clay pellets and Jobe’s organic fast start. I am also recycling my soil and water with Recharge when using recycled soil. For plant training I have tried a variety of things, but my plans here are to do LST bending only, no HST this time. Around 3 week I'll do a FIM cut/pinch once there are 4-5 nodes established. I will also be doing some defoliation around the 3rd week of flowering. I have been doing HST bending and having good results, but think the HST may be causing the plants to take longer to harvest. I hope LST only will help increase harvests while getting me to harvest sooner. Mid week last week I cut down the inferior PGC. I needed some and it looked done and wasn’t responding to water really. Anyway the buds looked good and get me kinda high. About 1oz smokable buds. This was in 2 gal so not very big. Curing will help. I pressed some into rosin at about day 6 of drying and turned out pretty well. The plant still alive is much better imo and buds should be fire , prob won’t press it

Man, it's been a crazy week. These past few days have been brutal – seriously cold with this crazy humidity. I don't know about you, but I'm sick of the chills and the way my skin feels all sticky. It's been a struggle, but I'm finally getting on top of things. I think I've figured out a good routine to dry things out around here, so hopefully, I'll be feeling a lot more comfortable soon. It's been interesting watching these permanent marker plants grow. One of them is still kinda lagging behind, but I think I've got the other one figured out. It's stacked so perfectly, and it's starting to look super sparkly, almost like it's got little crystals on it. I'm curious to see if the other plant will catch up.

Hello Growers & Tokers! The route to having a jungle starts with the roots! That's why my main goal in those first 14-21 days is developing the root system. I like to give them time to expand the roots which is very important for a healthy plant. That also gives them more time to get bigger and stronger before going into flower. More growth, more bud sites, more buds. Trust me the wait is worth the reward. We'll be seeing some truly sweet and zenzational flowers. This week they got transplanted to their final pot, 11L fabric pots. It's one step closer to getting that jungle, zenzational! Medium used was Light Mix from BioBizz. Synergy from Grotek nutrients was blended in the medium to help out the roots. Let the mycorrhizae do its job and take over the soil, then the roots just follow. 11/30: I harvested the first 6 today, flushed 5 more for the second time, and fed everybody else for the last time. I washed all the branches using the 4-step method ascribed by Doc Bud at High Times/420magazine and many other notable cannabis connoisseurs, with slight modifications: 4 x big plastic totes/bins 8 x ounces of 12% hydrogen peroxide (or 32 ounces of 3%) 2 x cups of concentrated lemon juice 2 x cups of baking soda 10 x gallons of water in each bin Unless your tap water stinks, you're safe to use tap water for the procedure, but I used an inline carbon hose filter to fill my buckets. Bin #1 - 10 gallons of water mixed with the hydrogen peroxide Bin #2 - 10 gallons of water mixed with the lemon juice and baking soda Bin #3 - 10 gallons of water as hot tap water Bin #4 - 10 gallons of cold tap water I was mainly concerned about removing as much lint and cat/dog hair as possible, but also rinsing off any residue left from all the various foliar applications of humic/fulvic acid, kelp, axiom, big bloom, and tiger bloom I did. First, I put my leaf blower on low speed and blasted my plants thoroughly, one at a time, replicating 50-60mph winds for about 10 seconds and watched as a whirlwind of debris and hair flew out the back door. Bud-washing: Pluck any necrotic plant material and any old fan leaves off while they're still on the plant. Then, take a handful of branches and submerge them in Bin #1 for about 30 seconds, agitating it, removing from water, submerging again, agitating, etc...then remove it and let it drip out for a few seconds...then repeat the process with Bins #2-4. Let it drip dry overnight with a little bit of airflow, then dry as you normally would...baskets, boxes, etc.. I hadn't watered these plants in a few days, so they were almost in draught, but after doing this procedure, they were fully hydrated(turgid) and seemed to have brighter colors than before. Nice!😍 12/1: The bottom part of the closet seems empty with only 9 plants in there.. 😟 I cut the harvested plants up and put them into drying baskets in the top of my closet with a small oscillating fan on. I've got the temperature fluctuating between 68f and 75f and the RH is staying between 48% and 52%. To do that, I had to take down the small light in the top of the closet to fit the drying baskets up there. So, I moved the 3 shorter plants still up there down to the bottom and put them on top of buckets. Now the bottom of the closet looks full again!😃 I'm anxious to finish up this grow so I can get busy growing the Fastbuds Fast Flowering Photo Testers!!! When I harvest the next 5, I'll flush the remaining plants really well and that will be all the flushing they'll get..I'll let them dry back out for a few days and harvest them. I've got to make some minor improvements to the garden (adding UV, blue and red/far red booster panels and intake fans) That should put me on track to start germinating them by mid-December if all goes well. 12/3: ...early a.m... The harvested plants are already dry!?!?? And have excellent texture??? Wow..bud washing is for real..roughly 48 hours after I hung them to drip dry, and 40 hours after I put them in baskets in 50% RH/70f conditions with moderate airflow...usually takes 4 or 5 days to get a good slow-dry in the same conditions, so I'm convinced that this must be attributed to the bud-washing procedure. I'm sold! Here's the talley so far: plant #1 - 115g (plus 13g larf) - Candy Cane [F2] plant #2 - 108g (plus 18g larf) - Candy Cane [F2] plant #3 - 119g (plus 15g larf) - C4ndycaine [Candy Cane x C4] plant #4 -  92g (plus 6g larf) - Candy Cane [F2] - the smallest plant in the main area plant #5 - 112g (plus 22g larf) - Candesia [Candy Cane x Amnesia] plant #6 -  75g (no larf) - Candesia [Candy Cane x Amnesia] - grown in upper area under 200w ...afternoon: I flushed 6 of the last 7 plants for the first time today and harvested 4 more of them.
