This week I added a scrog net and started guiding some of the branches through it. A few branches were already long enough to be bent and positioned under the net, while others still need a bit more growth before reaching it. From now on, the goal is to let the plant grow freely and focus on filling the net evenly before flipping to flower 🌿💪

Week five of my first cannabonsai/mother project. This young lady has been having nothing but tap water for the last few weeks. I am going to start feeding her as soon as she shows the first signs of deficiency. After all the training on day 20, then the root reveal on day 26. I left her five full days to recover before messing any more. Then I took all her fan leaves off and adjusted the LST. I need to train here more over the coming days. Hello to everyone stoners, here ends our adventure with our Orange Barb, there was some problem at the beginning due to a poor germination, but in the end it recovered well and I was rewarded with 30g of one of the best weed ever smoked!👽

Every has gone absolutely smooth so far with growing this girl. Full 8 weeks old today & 21 days into flower. She has a fairly strong sweet smell & her buds continue to bulk up. As I just harvested 1 plant , it's created a bit of space for me to put her into the Flowering tent for 12 hrs each day & move her back to veg for the remaining 8 hrs, as I'm running 780watts in the flower tent, hopefully this will bulk them up more. Simple L.S.T. grow grew her out a few nodes & bent her over & tied her down, doing a similar thing with the side branches. Then I've just let her go & do her own thing & haven't done anything other than feed her, haven't really had to do any defoliation as there's not that many leaves on her naturally. SUNDAY 5/5: Rearranged the gardens..have 17 plants in the 4 x 5 now...yowsa! MONDAY: Plucked some dead leaves and did a trichrome check on her. She's getting close now! Prolly about 80% cloudy and 5% amber! I'll start flushing her tomorrow or the next day if she's not dried out yet. TUESDAY: I observed some white spots on a few leaves here and there, so I sprayed her today with Trifecta Crop Cure, a concoction of a bunch of natural plant oils. I already decreased the humidity in the room to 45% with my new 70L dehumidifier, so I think she'll be fine. I'll spray her again tomorrow and the next day, then I'll have to hope that did the trick, because she is already in the harvest window. WEDNESDAY: I flushed her today with about 4 gallons of ph'd spring water and bembe. It was her last dose of any nutes...flushing with only spring water from here on out. THURSDAY: Took a couple of photos and tried installing my new Solacure FlowerPower UVB light, but it was dead on arrival.😢..back to the 15.0 reptile UVB lights for now I guess...

She's proper Indica proper chunky buds and she doing well not ad a issue inwont be flushing but will feed her water from now till harvest

Aug 2: Tropicana Cookies FF is three weeks younger than my two biggest plants (Sunday Punch EV and Mimosa Shot) and two weeks younger than Lemon Cream Kush. This is a very strong plant and is progressing very well. This wagon with LCK started force flowering a week later than the other wagon and will go another week longer. TC is now the tallest of the four plants despite being the youngest. Aug 5: now done force flowering after 2.5 weeks. Plants in this wagon are getting too big to easily get into garage. Continuing to use far red light as a bloom booster at dusk. Back to 15.5 h of daylight in the backyard now. Aug 7: now 51 inches so she’s had a quick vertical growth spurt. Looking very happy with leaves ‘praying’ upwards nicely.

This was another hot, hot week with a big rainstorm. Take a look at the measuring cup, it is full of rainwater. Gorilla Cookies continues to smell and is very sticky. It is a tall and lanky plant but look at the heavy buds weighing down the stems. It should be ready to take down in a couple of weeks. Half way through this grow, I had to stop using Miracle Grow and change my grow plan. I decide to use Advance Nutrients Jungle Juice for the rest of the grow. Jungle Juice’s selling point is that it is the only nutrient that I should need during the entire grow. One just need to make the solution stronger as the plant matures. The directions say to “stir vigorously” and that is true. It is very clumpy and I had to stir and shake the bottle a lot. As your plant is in veg and growing larger, directions say to up your Jungle Juice to 4 ml per liter. If my calculations are correct, I am using approx. 5 tablespoons per 5 gallon bucket. 1 gal is 3.78 liters 5 gallons=18.92 liters 4ml jungle juice per liter x 18.92 liters= 75.7 ml which is = to 5.119 tablespoons per 5 gallon bucket of water As the end of the summer is quickly approaching, I have spent some time reflecting this week on all of the contests that I have entered and not won this summer. It can be a little frustrating because of all the time I have spent taking pictures and writing commentary. But, instead of it getting me down, I have to think about all of the positive take aways and I want to share them on this platform. I have read a lot of diaries and now know why I am just an apprentice. I have a lot to learn from all of you. There are some really good growers with a lot of experience and crazy grow techniques. So much knowledge is on this platform-it’s mind boggling. To be a great grower, you must be willing to be vulnerable and put yourself out there and try different suggestions and new techniques. I have made a few friend that I enjoy chatting with. I enjoy reading comments versus just seeing likes. My best friend on grow diaries is @Natrona and my neighbor as well. She has been growing longer than I have been so I routinely learn from her. This summer I learned to mix 1 cup of Perlite into my soil. I can see where my plants need the air flow. And, I now I only defoliate fan leaves that absolutely need to be gone. I let the fan leaves stay on until they fall off. I want my buds to pull all the nutrients they can out of the fan leaves. I also bought 2 new tools that @natrona suggested. The first was a water PH tester and the second was my Max-ee Magnifier which is informative and fun to use.
