Solo cup challenge continues to press along. Not much change, plants are in veg, growing and healthy. Still a few weeks before the flowers start so I hope to get a bit of size going before it does. 420 Fastbuds Week 5 Cherry Cola Auto What up grow fam. Weekly update on these girls starting week 2 of the flower cycle. So far all has been OK with keeping up the same routine. One of the plants I will say is an absolute mutant for some reason. Just not responding to anything I've done to try and help it out. I'll keep up with what all the other plants get because they seem healthy and happy. The other plant is doing well growing and producing preflowers. All in all Happy Growing

Starting of flowering!

1.I had 3 pop 18 hours right away from floating in the water. 2. 2 were in a paper towel that did nothing so far after 18 hours. 3. Placed paper towel seeds in water for a few hours to see if we can get them popped. 4. 2 seeds are germed and ready to go, have been planted. One in fox farms happy frog and one in a riot rooter as an experiment. We shall see who comes about first. Doing 12-16 hours of light. 5. After 48 hours, all 5 have popped and 2 of them are already breaking the soil with their first 2 leaves. Let's go! 6. Day 3 - 72 hours later - 2 of the seeds have sprouted their first 2 leaves and are above the soil! *excitement ensues* 7. Day 3 (continued) UH OH! I just realized my paper towel doesn't have a seed in it. I checked on the floor and found it, the taproot has gone back inside the seed, I'm worried I may have killed it. I planted it in the Root Riot anyway and I'm hoping for the best. :/ 8. Day 3 (continued) continuing 18-6 light.

Dam these two have just blown my mind in terms of ability to handle stress and environmental changes . The platinum bananas is the best looking plant so far the healthiest look and vibe , the ripper is also doing very well and looking very bright green and strong smell.. I'm going crazy till next week and can't wait for that flower time ..cheers

As i commented I had some issues so I used cleaner from GHE and stopped watering for aroud 48 hours. Now i changed nutrient doses according to the table As you can see the biggest one is touching the led.. and I moved it upper to the max, but nothing to do with that i guess. the grower @legacymarketfarm give a tip about that nad it appears to be a stress reaction to large temp variation between day and night, so i will research a form to control it better for next grows. Also the plants started to smell a bit (inside the tent) some days ago. Day 51 bad news, the central bud for the biggest one is touching the led and the obvious result just happened, it is burning the flower. Any ideas about what to do? I cant lower the base or move the light upper I super cropped the big one at day 52 and then one of the other branches started to go upper and upper (you can see it at timelapse) so i had to apply same on this

What a difference a week makes! #1 is just adding on the weight this week while #2 continued to stretch to what might be a record for this auto at 40” and is now exploding with pistils. #3 is yet another type of pheno and a short bush that I have continually taken leaves from trying to figure out what is what. I expect #3 to start her stretch this week given the fact that she’s almost two weeks behind the others while I was trying to find a bean that would pop. Staggering on the trim doesn’t really bother me because they are all getting the same 19 hours of light indefinitely. We are getting into some heat up north and I imagine the room will climb into the high 80’s but there’s not very much I can do about that except giving them air circulation. Stardawg really is the star of the show and might end up being my consistent go to if they keep going like this.

WEEK 8 (04/18/2021 - 04/24/2021) Day 59: 04/18/2021 Defoliated some growth from each plant before I installed my custom-built SCRoG net made of: pvc piping, drywall screws, and jute twine for the netting. It’s slightly smaller than the tent, 41”x41” with a second level for another net. It fits perfectly, leaving plenty of room to work around the edges and move the fan around if needed. Immediately after defoliation and installing the net, I watered using ½ strength Botanicare Hydroguard. Watering was different. I used a battery-powered liquid transfer pump to help water the plants a little faster and more efficiently. Also helps to reach the plants I can’t access as easily in the corner. I am unable to test/collect any of the runoff at the moment since installing the net, which wouldn’t be an issue by itself, but my saucers are just barely large enough to fit the base of the 5 gallon pots into. I have no way of sticking a pH pen or TDS meter in the runoff. They simply won't fit between the pot and the saucer. This is extremely unfortunate, as I am now unable to monitor the ppm of the soil with each watering. Will have to pick up some larger saucers soon or think of another solution. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 61: 04/20/2021 ‘Tis the season to be medicated. Happy Holidaze! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 62: 04/21/2021 Upping the amount of water going into the pots this watering. Previously I was doing 1 gallon of water per 5 gallon pot. I’m increasing the amount of water to 1.5 gallons. Hopefully that will produce enough runoff for taking measurements. It’s going to be a painfully difficult task to take readings but I really need to know what the condition of the soil is right now. Will not be using any nutrients this time considering the runoff was kind of high when I fed on 4/10. This seems a little risky though since it has been 11 days since a nutrient feed, but I’d rather not burn the plants by blindly adding nutrients. Will return. Hopefully with measurements. (some amount of time later) Tap water: 245ppm, 6.1 pH (9 gallons) pH Down: 30ml JB#1 - 2730ppm, 7.0 pH JB#2 - 2290ppm, (pH pen died again on this plant) AP#1 - 2380ppm, 6.9 pH AP#2 - 3610ppm (seems extremely high), 7.0 pH GC#1 - 2320ppm, 6.9 pH GC#2 - 2340ppm, 7.1 pH I don’t know what was up with the measurements on the AP#2. The saucers the pots are sitting in are a little small so I think the ppm might have been reading high because the bottom of the fabric pot was sitting in the runoff. Maybe I’m just saying that to reassure myself. Either way, the 3000+ ppm seemed very off. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 66: 04/24/2021 Defoliation + weaving/securing branches through SCRoG. I'm not 100% sure that the SCRoG was the most optimal technique of choice given the very limited space within the grow tent. Also, I almost feel like I installed the screen a little late. Maybe not? Either way, I have read about them and the potential of increased yields, which got me excited enough to build one to try out for myself. I was aware going into it that there would be some difficulties using a SCRoG. I can no longer move my pots around is the main thing. Not being able to move the pots around has increased the difficulty factor of watering/feeding. I now have to access 3 different sides of the tent to get all 6 plants. I've clipped all the ties holding the branches down from previous LST sessions. There was just no way I was going to spend hours weaving in and out of all the ties trying to water each plant while also dealing with the difficulties of a SCRoG obstructing the work space. That would also wreck my poor back. From here, things are going to get real exciting. Tomorrow (04/25) I am rescheduling the light cycle to 12/12 to initiate flowering. Another 60-70 days to go, growing buds and packing on trichomes. With that said, I'm excited to have made it through my very first full vegetative cycle. I've definitely made my fair share of mistakes, as expected, but as long as I keep learning from them future harvest will only continue to increase in quality and yield. Tag 56 - Beginn der 9 Woche. Die Buds entwickeln sich weiterhin super. Starker Duft und extrem eisig. Wie schon erwähnt, entwickelt diese Pflanze für ihre Größe wirklich unglaublich dicke Buds. Diese Woche wurde nochmal gedüngt und auch schon mit den ersten Vorbereitungen zur Ernte begonnen. Am Tag 54 wurde das erste mal mit Advanced Nutrients Flawless Finish gespült. Dabei gebe ich 1,5 - 2ml/Liter als Zusatz zum normalen Wasser dazu. Der Plan ist dies 5 mal vor der Ernte zu wiederholen und das letzte mal mit normalen Wasser zu gießen. Gedüngt wurde an Tag 51 der letzten Woche. 3 Tage bevor mit dem Spülen begonnen wurde. Dies war natürlich die letzte Düngung. Nährstofflösung: 1 ml/l - Overdrive Advanced Nutrients 1 ml/l - Bud Candy Advanced Nutrients. 1 ml/l - B-52 Advanced Nutrients. 2 ml/l - pH Perfect Sensi Bloom Part A. 2 ml/l - pH Perfect Sensi Bloom Part B.

6th week for these two cool plants. Mutant sticky broccoli is in the back at 45 cm tall, other one is also heading into flower at 37 cm. Hope I can take good care of them this week while being sick at home.

OH. MY. GOD. Smells like chocolate, berries, and skunk. I cannot stress the absolute crazy terpene profile on these man. I am STOKED for harvest in about 4 weeks. A very long growing strain but worth the wait! Bought some rock resinator and starting next week will be using it for a couple weeks before flush and harvest!

2018-03-20 Week 12 Day 1 New week and not much to say. No water or nutes today, just the regular weekly check to see that they look nice and healthy. Raised the lamp about 10 cm to make sure that the girls don't get burned again. Sour Ripper nr1 is 59 cm Sour Ripper nr2 is 57 cm ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Strain information After much effort Ripper seeds can introduce one of the most appreciated varieties by genetic collectors. They have worked to get one of the few lines of Sour Diesel feminized version preserving the main qualities of a good Sour D: flavor and potency. Sour Ripper has a sativa structure with a wide distance between branches, little foliage and a more compact and desirable bud than the Original Sour Diesel we work. It's flowering period is 65-70 days. The most "undergrown" taste of the United States available for your collection. Week 9! Day 65: 2L (pH6.8) + mild organic fertiliser from kitchen scraps. Remember the potato water I spoke of earlier? I blended it up with some ruined sweet peppers from the garden and some applecider vinegar & eggshell to give her one last, very diluted nutrient solution. This feed was aimed more at the soil than the plant. Bud bulking has come to a halt, she's fading. Nonetheless, I discovered some purple leaf edges on one of the buds in particular, I wonder if this might be related to nutrition or temperature. Day 67: 2L (pH6.6) + 5ml/l home-made fertiliser. I noticed I accidentally had turned off the timer on the LED, as well as left it on 20% power the entire night. I was expecting to have to disturb her lights off period to look at her, but there she was just chilling in low light conditions. Also, she seems to have no problems running on the very diluted home-made fertiliser so I'm repeating the previous feed - this time being a bit more precise on the dosage: 5ml/l. As I stated, this is more of a fertiliser for the soil microbes than herself.

So far the dosi seems to be further into flowering than the bride cake. I’m noticing a potential cal/mag lock out with the dosi but I’ll continue to monitor over the course of these next few days. If signs worsen I’ll attempt to flush with lighter EC until run off readings of PH & EC are stable and will tone down the feed. 11/5/21 seems that my “mag & calcium deficiency” seems to really be nutrient burn. I am pushing these plants on their bloom diet (2.8-3.0EC) so it is to be expected however I shall continue to keep them at the same EC unless things begin to worsen 🤷‍♂️🏽 I like to limit test 😅
