Welcome to my MilkyWay F1 Auto Diary, Untopped VS topped. Results are in. Days 71-82 ripening 0-13 week 11&12 Went well. She did bulk up a tad. But not much. They spent most their lives under a 100w. But, the bud is really dense all over. No larf, at all. Its a really good quality of bud I'm getting from both phenos. As far as ToppedVsUntopped well, that result is in. With a seeds used from the same pack (same parent) making true F1s as they need to be from the same batch. It why we all got different phenos, and those who ran more than 1, from their seeds, the phenos are very close. One of mine had more of a fade and looks more purple. Both smell very lovely & fruity. Nice trichome production with very dense but, rather small buds if I do say so. But the grade itself is very high. (As grade is not rated on size) overall both turned out very similar. Even fade wise, they've both developed a lovely colour finishing under high co2 environment with the SE5000 really has brought out a lot of fade i normally do not get. look at the start. It was only a few days under this light and the past 14 days they've both popped. I will also say. A lot of their life was spent under a 12-12 (3/5s of flowering). Topped VS Untopped pheno 2 & 1 Are very similar as I've stated this area will be filt in with harvest comments. Bud smell. How the dry went. And after a weeks cure. I'll rate it. So watch this space. These 2 phenos have been on just water for 10 days. I did a quick run off test. Got back 145ppm my tap is 110. So, they're good to go. Trichome wise. 95% cloudy 30-35% amber. (Hard to see, I'll try get pics with my scope) but, as you see. Both are fully ripened. Anymore and its just bud deg. Both plants leaves are showing end of life. Some are dying. (I'VE BEEN WATCHING THESE LEAVES AND SEEN THEY'VE BEEN DEAINED, ITS NOT BR) Lights The SE5000 was used for the Ripening phase. With high temps and co2 i pushed my boundaries and got a lovely fade reaction from doing so. How I know its down to this light as I've put my Runtz under it. And as soon as I did. It developed fade. My Frosted G even started getting light purple on its sides. The temp in tent has been pushed to 31-33c (that's not leaf temp as I've fans blowing on my plants, and that lowers surface temps by a few degrees.) They've been on 17hrs of high powered light. At 25-30cm id no choice. My temps are mad high this time of year. Harvested Both plants are been pult they're getting their last few hrs. You'll then see the last few pics in a few hrs. I'll get bud shots later, smoke reviews and then to be fair. I'll then mark it by the GD rating system. As I do with all my strains. (So I've 2-3 wk delay in my diaries as they're Harvested, mostly) both plants I'll try push them as far as I can through the drying process whole. But, as I'm dealing with high temps. Lower RH and a fastercl dry is pref to a longer dry in hot conditions might not make sense, but 30+ hot weather harvests, I've got this down. Mind you only this round all my other hot harvests some took a few weeks to rid the hay smell. This avoids it and locks in potency. Most of the drying is done by leaving the plant in the substrate just before the plant goes for itself for fluids. 4-5 day dry as opposed to 5-6 day dry with weed that loses half its stenght. (dry harvesting look it up) Thanks to James from RQS, although I know everyone and their sister got the offer for these seeds I am defo going to be trying more from RQS, if it's buying. I'll get round to it, and depending on the quality of smoke it might be soon. If its a real nice auto, I'd love to try a fem of theirs for my winter crop in October. But, that'll depend. I've lots I want to buy & try.. and when favs are found. I'll invest. I would like to thank everybody for the activity this diary has gotten. Its possibly one of my most active diaries I've done without a harvest. And that's in no short means down to all the views and likes from you guys. And for sure I will fully complete it, with results on the smoke Quality from both phenos, if it varies, but, results thus far, structure wise they're shockingly similar. Scary so. Topping has very little affect to the structure. She grew a main cola. But both phenos, turned puples I will say the topped one was a more troublesome plant. Maybe that had a role onin its morphology. And maybe it'll affect the bud also. The topped was more demanding nutrient wise, and drank more. Maybe to support a more even bud load. (I've yet to do a through inspection, but on the VS front, it's kinda in the air about quality, structure wise, it had very little difference. Look for yourself at the heights are 3-4cm dif) lots still to come. And I'll update it soon with more results. Again, thanks so much for the support, likes, comments and how active it is, an unfinished diary moving to my home page. 1st for me. So thank you. Also to my light sponsors who played a part in this grow. Although both phenos owe their bud quality to 2 x 100 watts SF-1000 (SE5000 was used for ripening lovely fade) and I used a P1000, they shared even light distribution in the end for the most part. So, thanks to Bella for the upgrade. I'm sure when I run an RQS strain again, this time I'll know only have the fade to show, but the bud size too. Thanks again my Friends. Updates pending as of 6th June. Edit June 7th Both plants are hung whole and drying 24hrs. I don't like how fast they're moving. The buds are already soft. Should still be hard at this stage only 30hrs in. They'll harden up in the cure no doubt. Let's just hope they don't shrink too much. Will give daily updates

Ripening started way faster than anticipated and I started flushing the other Critical at day 46 and she looks like she might be ready at the end of the week.. BUT I'm going to send her all the way to couchlock heaven so I'll probably chop her at the same as the other one which I reckon will be receiving at least one more full-dose nutrient blast and around two weeks of flush but lets see.. I want her to be close to fully finished but not too many ambers since the other one will be majorly overcooked. Didn't put too much effort on this timelapse since my PC is hiccuping pretty darn hard trying to process the camera RAW files to video if I put some effects on them.. wonder why since I got a pretty solid rig with 5950X and 128GB of DDR4-3866 RAM.. damn shitbucket can't handle somewhere around 1.5-2GBps bitrate video realtime😂

Week 6 flower. Not much to report with this one. Growing very slow, little buds, smell musky and not very nice but improving, very frosty and getting frostier. Watered in Gaia Green Soluble Seaweed Extract 0-0-17. Day 36 flower I turned off Blumat drip and will water with the watering wand from here on out. Just another potential runaway dripper so I eliminated the risk. I will just build another reliable system with a timer and use the Blumat outside. Thanks for the view! Have a great week!

First week outdoors and the girls are just loving the fresh air and sunshine! Have been bringing them into solarium at night because we are still hitting 1°-2° some nights, and the solarium only gets down to 14°. Warm nights (>12°) should be here to stay in the next few days, will have them grounded then. Soil pickup and pot preparation today. I get my soil from a local landscape material yard. They do a great "garden mix", has good drainage and very healthy soil. Plants always seem to love it, and at $45 a yard it's so much cheaper than bagged soil. Also today is the day I pick my two of the litter before the other two go to their homes at my in-laws place. Probably take the black pots, all four girls look so good might as well take a tall and a short see which does best! Plants were topped Day 29 from seed and recovered well, quite noticable thickening of the main stem, and by end of week about 1" new growth on tops.

Note du cultivateur : "28 jours de voyage... La Sultane prĂ©pare son armure. Le chemin est long, mais le joyau est Ă  portĂ©e de main." Ă  bientĂŽt pour le suite de la chronique. merci a tous pour vos commentaires.

đŸŒ± Week 4 - Black Diamond Auto - Plant A 8×8 Adventure | Learning What Nature Wants to Teach Another week has passed inside the 8×8 Adventure, and every day reinforces why this project is so exciting. Unlike traditional autoflower grows, every plant in this room was germinated directly under a 12/12 light schedule. There was never a long vegetative period waiting before flowering. Instead, each plant has had to build its entire structure while already living under flowering conditions. It is a technique that fascinates me because it reveals just how different every individual phenotype can be. Some decide to begin flowering almost immediately. Others invest precious time building roots and branches before finally committing to reproduction. That is exactly why every plant receives its own diary. This week belongs to Black Diamond Auto - Plant A. âž» 🌿 A Completely Different Personality While several sisters have already started showing obvious flowering characteristics, this lady had other plans. Instead of rushing toward bloom, she kept investing energy into building herself. The result is becoming obvious. She is developing into one of the strongest structural plants inside the room. Long internodes. Strong branches. Excellent vigor. Beautiful symmetry. She almost seems to be saying, “I’m not in a hurry
I’m building something worth waiting for.” Sometimes the slow starters end up becoming the biggest surprises. âž» đŸŒ± Why Growing Under 12/12 Is So Interesting One thing I always enjoy explaining is why this project exists in the first place. Most growers veg their plants for several weeks before switching lights to 12/12. Here, the challenge is completely different. The plants experience flowering light from the day they emerge. That means every single day matters. Every root developed
 Every leaf produced
 Every branch formed

is competing against the plant’s internal biological clock. Watching each phenotype decide how it responds to that pressure is one of the most educational parts of this entire adventure. âž» 🌿 Gentle Training Instead of Force This week continued with very gentle Low Stress Training. Rather than forcing dramatic bends or aggressive shaping, I’m simply helping light reach every future flowering site. Leaf tucking. Soft branch positioning. Small adjustments every day. Sometimes even gently bending large fan leaves out of the way instead of removing them. At this stage every healthy leaf is still acting like a solar panel, producing energy for everything that comes next. The goal isn’t to force the plant into a shape. The goal is to guide her while allowing genetics to express themselves naturally. âž» 💧 A New Chapter Begins: AutoPot Time One of the biggest milestones this week is that Plant A has officially graduated into the AutoPot system. This is something I’ve been looking forward to throughout the entire grow. For anyone unfamiliar with AutoPots, they are a completely passive self-watering system. There are no pumps. No timers. No electricity controlling irrigation. Instead, everything revolves around one incredibly clever little device called the AquaValve. The AquaValve constantly monitors the water level inside the tray beneath the pot. As the plant drinks, the tray empties. Only then does the AquaValve automatically open, allowing fresh nutrient solution to refill the tray before closing again. This creates a natural wet-and-dry rhythm while giving the roots constant access to perfectly oxygenated nutrient solution whenever they need it. The plant decides when to drink. Not me. It’s a beautiful example of letting nature control the schedule. âž» 🔬 Why This Is Such A Fun Experiment Even more interesting
Plant A won’t be alone for long. The current plan is to compare her performance against another Black Diamond that may remain outside the AutoPot system. Same genetics. Same room. Same environment. Different irrigation method. It’s still early, so I won’t draw any conclusions yet, but this comparison could become one of the most educational parts of this entire project. Sometimes the best lessons come from simply letting the plants answer the questions for us. âž» đŸŒĄïž Environment The room continues running very consistently. Environment ‱ đŸŒĄïž Day Temperature: 33°C ‱ 🌙 Night Temperature: 25°C ‱ 💧 Relative Humidity: 63% ‱ ⚡ EC: 1.35 ‱ pH: 6.1 ‱ 💹 CO₂: 639 ppm ‱ 💩 Solution Temperature: 26°C Even with the warmer daytime temperatures, the plants continue showing healthy metabolism and vigorous growth. âž» đŸœïž Feeding This Week Current nutrient program: ‱ Terra Grow — 1.8 ml/L ‱ Power Roots — 1 ml/L ‱ Pure Zym — 1 ml/L ‱ Sugar Royal — 1 ml/L The feeding remains intentionally balanced. No need to chase high EC values while the plant is still investing heavily into structural growth. Healthy roots first. Strong stems second. Flowers will come naturally. âž» đŸŒ± Looking Ahead By the end of the week, she’s finally beginning to show the first signs that flowering is approaching. Nothing explosive yet. Just those subtle little changes every grower loves spotting: slightly tighter node spacing
 new vertical growth
the first hints that she’s preparing to transition. Considering the structure she’s already built, I have a feeling she could become one of the larger plants in this room. Only time will tell. And that’s half the fun. âž» 💚 Final Thoughts One of my favourite things about this hobby is that every plant writes its own story. We provide the environment. The nutrition. The light. The care. But ultimately, genetics decide how the story unfolds. Plant A is teaching patience. She’s showing that not every plant needs to sprint into flower to become something special. Sometimes building a strong foundation is the smartest strategy of all. I’m excited to see what she becomes over the next few weeks. âž» 🙏 Thank You As always, thank you to everyone following this journey. To GrowDiaries for giving growers around the world a place to document and learn together. To Plagron for providing the nutrition that keeps these ladies thriving. To FOG LEDs for delivering the photons that fuel every new leaf. To Zamnesia and the talented breeders behind these wonderful genetics. To every grower who leaves a comment, shares advice, asks questions, celebrates the victories, or learns from the mistakes. To the silent readers following along from around the world. To the supporters. To the critics. To the old friends. To the new ones joining every week. Thank you for being part of this adventure. Growers Love and see you all next week. đŸŒ±đŸ’š
