High UV-B radiation can necessitate increased magnesium because it plays a crucial role in mitigating the stress and damage caused by UV-B exposure. High UV-B can lead to the production of harmful reactive oxygen species, and magnesium helps the plant's antioxidant systems and chlorophyll function to cope with this stress, making adequate magnesium supply essential for plant health under such conditions. Why UV? To do with the way anthocyanin is different from other pigmentations in that its colouration is not attached to the cell itself, it's a pH thing, if you force the color through high dose, as soon as she stops being in that environment, it will begin to revert back to chlorophyll, nitrogen deficiency causes anthocyanin to be produced in the first place, and nitrogen is needed to create new chlorophyll. When plants have a nitrogen deficiency, they produce anthocyanins to protect the leaves from stress while they try to salvage remaining nutrients, like nitrogen, before leaf drop. 24:1 C:N carbon&nitrogen ratio in medium will trigger autophagy, which will begin the dumping of nitrogen into the soil to feed micros as they FEED on nitrogen to convert carbon sugars into chemical energy via cellular root respiration (calcium/phosphorous VITAL for sugar processing). Couple the UV with a nitrogen dump for all the colors of the rainbow, and remove the possibility of allowing the conversion back to chlorophyll. 10/14 mimics late autumn, winter is coming, maximizing genetic expressions of desired purple genes if they do exist, I have seen no indications that I'd expect from previous grows. Oxygen is the oxidizer; if a soil cannot breathe, nothing good will EVER happen. Raised UV to lower the dosage. The leaves begin producing a protein hormone called florigen (produced via the Flowering Locus T gene). DELLA proteins. The plant measures the duration of the night by monitoring the amount of Pfr that has reverted to Pr. I imagine it like an egg timer with sand. You can speed up the flow of sand one way or another, determined by what type of red light and the ratio overall. The standard flowering cycle for many indoor plants is 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness. By applying a short pulse of far-red light at the very beginning of the dark cycle, a grower can trick the plant's internal clock. Forcing the conversion: A pulse of far-red light (730 nm) rapidly converts the active (P_{fr}) back into the inactive (P_{r}) form, simulating several hours of dark reversion. This amplified "sleep" signal causes the plant to believe the night started hours earlier than it actually did. For a short-day plant, this rapid reset means it can perceive a 14-hour night even though it only received 10 hours of darkness. This allows growers to use a 14/10 light cycle (14 hours of light, 10 hours of dark) without disrupting the flowering of short-day plants, as the far-red pulse makes the night effectively "long enough". This provides plants with more light for photosynthesis and can speed up the flowering process. What about all night? Or a pulse (15-30min)? High Pfr (Far-Red) overnight mimics a short night:If you maintain a high Pfr:Pr ratio overnight, the plant never receives the signal that a sufficient dark period has occurred. This mimics the conditions of a short night, during which Pfr levels remain high. Flowering is inhibited: As a result, the plant will not flower. This is the same effect that is observed when a flash of red light interrupts a long night, which instantly converts any Pr back to Pfr and resets the dark-reversion clock. But it's not that simple, I do not necessarily want a 14/10 for the entirety of the flower. Suppose you give a 12/12 with the pr/pfr conversion to make her more of a 10/14. It may not be the best option for the entirety of flower. A photoperiod cannabis plant will develop differently under a 14/10 light cycle compared to a 10/14 cycle during the flowering phase. The differing lengths of light and darkness trigger different hormonal responses, influencing the plant's growth, final yield, potency, and maturation time. A faster maturation time in flowering cannabis offers quicker harvests and lower potential risk, but can result in diminished potency, lower yields, and a less complex flavor and aroma profile comparatively. The trade-offs depend on the grower's priorities and the specific cannabis genetics. 14/10 physical light cycle with pr/pfr conversion for optimal yield to make the plant think it's on a 12/12. After the first 4/5 weeks of flower, when trichomes ramp up, I will change it to 12/12, keeping the pr/pfr conversion. I should switch her to a more 10/14. Although this is stressful, make sure she is not suffering from undue stress from other areas. If enough stress accumulates, there is a chance the increased levels of jasmonic acid will make her pop a few seeds. Be aware, play it by how she is at the time. If you want to make the 10/14 make sure one also applies a second pulse of far-red light (15-30min) two hours into the dark period. This mimics an even longer night, causing the plant to perceive a very short day of 10 hours and a long night of 14 hours. A pulse of only far-red light during a short-day plant's dark period will not disrupt its sleep. Unlike a pulse of red light, which would actively interrupt the dark period and inhibit flowering, far-red light promotes the biochemical state that signals a long, uninterrupted night. This simulates the shortening days of late autumn/winter and can stress the plant, triggering a defensive response. Some growers report that this low, controlled stress can increase resin and trichome production as the plant works to protect its flowers. This mimics a natural outdoor harvest cycle where days get progressively shorter and nights longer. Reduce relative humidity during the late flowering stage to around 30%. This is another controlled stressor that can boost trichome production while reducing the risk of mold. Unlock the full genetic potential and allow for maximal expression of desired genes during critical times. Autoflowers contain genetics from the Cannabis ruderalis subspecies, which evolved to flower automatically based on a predetermined internal clock, or age that flowers based on age rather than light triggers, red and far-red light do not play a role in initiating the flowering stage. However, they significantly affect other aspects of the plant's growth and morphology. The premise that autoflowers do not use phytochrome red (Pr) to phytochrome far-red (Pfr) conversion for any function is incorrect. Like other plants, autoflowers utilize the phytochrome system to sense their light environment and manage processes like germination, shade avoidance, and vegetative growth, even if the phytochrome system isn't what signals them to flower. Thank you 🙏 Almost time. Sound the horn! Maintaining 12-1600ppm by the morning's compensation point alone. She is consistently experiencing noticeable growth every day. Sulfur is in prior to flower, medium loaded with abundance, CEC charged, as the plant grows, so does its respiratory footprint. The exhaust fan starts to flare up at night far more often. The pH is unlocking hydrogen, allowing the plant to cycle CEC for its needs, which is optimal for soil microorganisms. It is charged with controlled doses of sucrose at optimal uptake temperatures. Full negative pressure diffusion setup linked to RH for nights, with negative pressure linked to daytime heat extraction. Just need to throw in the second net, switch spectral ratio and enjoy the show. The struggle of the butterfly to escape through its caterpillar sac strengthens its wings; without this struggle, it would not be able to fly.

Flowering day 12 since time change to 12/12 h. Hey everyone ☺️. Once again a wonderful week goes by 😀. It has developed so far and is now slowly starting to develop its flowers :-). As soon as the first forms of buds can be seen (I think in 5-10 days) 2 g GHSC Powder Feeding Bio Bloom per liter of substrate are added. In the third week, 1 g per liter of substrate is added so that it lasts through to the end :-). This week it was poured 3 times with 1 liter each 👍. The entire tent was also cleaned and the electronics checked for functionality. The humidifier was refilled every day and fresh osmosis water was drained into the tank for the coming week ☺️. The plants have all been checked for health and pests 👍. Next week the bamboo sticks are inserted towards the end for support and the lowest shoots are removed so that at the end the energy is not wasted in the lower area 👍. Otherwise there is nothing more to report this week :-). I wish you a lot of fun with the update 😎. Stay healthy and let it grow 🍀. You can buy this Strain at https://www.barneysfarm.com/blue-cheese-34 Type: Blue Cheese ☝️🏼 Genetics: Blueberry X Original Cheese 👍 Vega lamp: 2 x Todogrow Led Quantum Board 100 W 💡 Bloom Lamp : 2 x Todogrow Led Cxb 3590 COB 3500 K 205W 💡💡☝️🏼 Soil : Canna Coco Professional + ☝️🏼 Fertilizer: Green House Powder Feeding ☝️🏼🌱 Water: Osmosis water mixed with normal water (24 hours stale that the chlorine evaporates) to 0.2 EC. Off to a sloppy start with these good old classic seeds. I kinda forgot I was going away for a few days and the giraffe neck vs the dwarf version are the result. Nevertheless, these aren't autos so I can very likely fix everything by delaying flowering for a bit :) Very curious to see how easy it will be to grow these in such a small space. 😎 They will be placed in 7l All-Mix soil by BioBizz and will get a full range on BioBizz nutrients after a few weeks of Root Juice. I will however be using BioGrow, BioBloom, TopMax and CalMag as my main nutrients. The others will be used occasionally and if the plant uptakes all nutrients without issues (nutrient lock paranoia is always there)

All good :) besides small problems with Tropicana Banana, so she gots only water this week. The same symptoms I have noticed on clones sooo probably I will change her nutrients. They start to smell, so I turned on the fan with carbon filter. Lamp on 65% of power, around 45cm above cannopy. ppfd 1100-1300 on the center - ppfd 700-900 on the sides. Older ones around 20 day of bloom Younger 13 day of flow and Caramelo 5 day of flowering

The germination i forgot to take pictures so i just have a video of the first 3 strains i started before the other seeds arrived. I used the same metod for all of them 24h in the glass of water after that 48h in the cotton pads in the zip lock bag with 3 sprays of water on the cotton pads and 1 spray when inside the zip lock bag is closed untill 80% leaving a small gap for them to breath. I decided to plant them after that in the final resting pot for this strain in a 5 gallon fabric pot. I used the following media on the bottom of the fabric pot i used 10% of Goldlabel HydroCorn after filled up with Advanced Nutrients coco cultivator (50% coco 30% perelite 20% pebbles) and i mixed on the media some Azos , Mykos and Great White. The light schedule for the first 5 days was 24/0 and after that i change for 18/06 schedule. Just water the plants on the 15/06 i think all my seedlings are stuned because my light is too strong for them and the light is dimed to 25% waiting on my new seedling light the Spider Farmer SF1000EVO LED should arrive just on wednesday. And my light meter for lux is saying i have 8600Lux converted is 148 and my dli on meter from the phone is saying 150 so its 3x times more the recomended i just dont understand if this phone app is working correctly. Update on the order from spider farmer from Ebay (Order the item on a thursday and the order was not updated on ebay on the following Monday so decided to contact them to understand when i am gonna receive my order i was told true ebay that my item as been shipped and i will receive an update within 1 hour to tell what time the item will be delivered. So never received any message giving my time slot delivery. Never received the item and at 21pm the tracking updeted on Ebay saying delivered so i contected them next day to be told that the courrier actually lost my order and that they will reshippe the order again but was told i need to wait 2 buiness days for the warehouse to processe my order beacuse they are busy what i replied that why should be me the costumer that needs to wait 5 or 6 more days for the order to arrive to me that they should send me the item on the same day and send me with one day delivery. The ansewer was they could not do it so i cancell the order asked for a refund and never more use their products appailing costumer service)

Okay, thank you so much @SmokingTiki for donating me his first price of the fast buds TikTok challenge. And thank you Heather from @Fast_Buds for the super fast coordination and shipping. You both rock and I really appreciate this – it's just amazing 💚 Will start Germination tomorrow. UPDATE April 29th: Put the seeds directly in substrate on April 26th, three days later they already put her heads out of earth. It was a sunny day and it's just perfect for little Guava. Welcome little girl! 💚

Been a bit of a strange plant the older gelato..small bud sites hoping she pops but I don’t have much hope for her it’ll be a case of ‘quality over quantity’ I think but that’s all good she smells amazing so frosty and sticky! The smaller gelato is still in preflower I took all the undergrowth away so she’s recovering from that but she looks good too!

After week 16 of this grow my 'Fruity Terps'-plants are ready to harvest. I check the trichome-heads with a handheld-microscope (magnification of 150, available in every growshop) and see that all have turned milky and some start to turn amber already. That means PEAK-THC (=all trichome-heads have turned milky) has been reached inside the trichome and it is time to harvest. If I would let them go longer now and continue to flower them, more of the trichome heads will turn amber as the THC breaks down again to other cannabinoids, and the effect of the cannabis will get more sedative when smoked. For some chronic pain patients this is what they want from their medicine, therefore it is advisable for them to let the weed flower than recommended. The aroma coming out of the tent is STRONG and DELICIOUSLY FRUITY! 😍 The fade from the flush has turned the bigger fan-leaves yellow or purple now, this shows the plant is using her own sugars now and has used up all nutrients saved inside her. That is exactly what I want, since a well flushed plant ensures a clean, smooth smoke when the buds are dried. This is my MEDICINE and I use it against my chranic back-pain from hernia, therefore I have to make sure I can consume my medicine as pure and clean as possible. All my plants have grown big buds, which are glistening with TRICHOMES, the SANlight EVO4-120 LEDs did an OUTSTANDING JOB! In combination with the BIO NOVA nutrients, all plants THRIVED throughout the cycle and were able to grow healthy to their full potential.

3/8 - We're at 66 days and she continues to grow wider and denser a few days after I defoliate. The tent real estate is pretty tight right now, so I'm shopping around for a 4x4. After looking at other GL diaries, this strain is known to grow huge! I'm just anxious as to when I'll start seeing buds! 3/10 - Goldie is definitely getting some sunburn on top so I've raised the lamp a few more inches and she's now about 20 inches away and the lamp is dimmed to 75%.. gave a good nute-filled watering with cal mag. Fourth flowering week, so I'm guessing 4 more weeks? I still don't see any developed nugs yet. She's going to be a biggun'!

.... Really good week but the work continues. The stretch is on. The 2 ladies on the extreme left has a proper stretch going on. It may be due to those are the girls I mainlined or it could be the blurple lights that both of them are under. Still removing some of the thick lower growth below the netting. its think but i remove just a little everynight for a gentle reduction in foliage. Not pictured here but on Day 12 white hairs were beginning to show. A few issues with high humidity during lights on or high heat when the dehumidifier is on. No strain specific smells as yet. Huge difference observed between the mainlined strains ( Orange Sherbert and Green Gelato) and the other LST strains in the tent. The stems of the mainlined strains tend to be fatter and there is a significant reduction on foliage on the mainlined strains. The LST strains (Blue Gelato 41 and the Vanilla Kush) are more bushy, squat with heavy foliage. Also not so much as a long stretch.

Day 56 This plant looks so small, because i High stressed them, im still giving them a Chance but they are so smalltalk that they need weeks to recover , and if in 2 weeks the plant dont Show any signs of getting flowery then i will cut her. Some week or 2 stopped, because of The Training.
