Juchuu, da ist sie endlich: die Paradise Seeds Banana Purple Auto! 🍌💜 Wir freuen uns wirklich riesig, dass es geklappt hat und wir diesen spannenden Strain growen dürfen. Es ist tatsächlich unsere erste Lady von Paradise Seeds, und dann direkt so eine interessante Neuheit. Da konnten wir natürlich nicht widerstehen. :) Die Banana Purple Auto bringt genetisch schon mal einiges mit: eine Kreuzung aus Purple Kush und GG4 Skunk. Klingt auf dem Papier nach einer ziemlich leckeren Mischung aus würzigen, skunkigen und fruchtigen Aromen, also genau die Art von Duft, bei der man später ständig am Glas schnuppern muss. 😄 Mit ihren angegebenen 60 % Indica und 40 % Sativa wirkt sie angenehm ausgewogen.Sie dürfte also sowohl für entspannte Momente als auch für gute Laune und kreative Outdoor-Vibes bestens geeignet sein. Die angegebenen 24 % THC lesen sich jedenfalls schon mal alles andere als schüchtern. Besonders gespannt sind wir natürlich auf die Farben. Sie soll ordentlich „purpeln“ und damit liegt sie absolut im Trend der aktuellen Strain-Entwicklung. Wenn die Lady also später aussieht wie ein Sonnenuntergang in violett, beschweren wir uns definitiv nicht! Geschmacklich wird sie mit „Fruity, Skunky, Sweet“ beschrieben. Also irgendwo zwischen Obstkorb, Tankstelle und Candyshop, was erstmal nach einer ziemlich wilden Kombination klingt, aber genau deswegen lieben wir solche Genetiken. :) Die Kleine darf sich jetzt erstmal gemütlich einleben. Verwöhnt wird sie natürlich auch ein bisschen, aber nicht zu sehr. Schließlich planen wir hauptsächlich einen Outdoor-Grow, und draußen gibt’s bekanntlich keinen Zimmerservice. At the beginning of this week, I have been fighting the gnats, which are less and less now. Just some watering and gradually lowering the light and going to full power. The Orange Hill Special has been filling out great and I must say, she is a pretty plant. With some manual bending and super cropping, I'm bending the longer stalks sideways and we are off. What I actually do is more of an intuitive hybrid between mainlining (where I bend the whole plant 90 degrees at the third week), LST (where I bend branches outward slightly, without tying), HST / Super crop (where I bend the stems 90 degrees with the clips or manually), after which I keep bending outward to SOG and, put the net over to end in SCROG. This same method gave me the canopy in my prize-winning Gelato 33 grow. Check it out if you haven't seen it, it was my first experimental accident that led to beta test of Super Soil mixture 0.7, now we are at Alpha version 1.00 and testing great so far if I say so myself. I haven't seen such lush greens in my own grows, only outdoor. They seem uber-healthy and resilient, with very sturdy stems and leaves. Way more resilient than previous strains I tested in the beta soil. The light is performing, the natural color of it makes everything pop. Mars Hydro has a winner with the SP-3000. Halfway through this week, I took the clips out, AND...... we switched them to go into flowering. After a day the stretch is already visible. I had to bend them again after a couple of days. Now we have almost a tent filling foundation for a maximum result canopy of buds. I was wanting to amend the soil with flowering additions (see recipe in yellow image), but I'm holding it off for two reasons. A/ The leaves are still so green and lush, I think there is an abundance of nutes. B/ @Haoss mentions his suspicions on his OHS grow (@#CannapediaProGrowersCup Orange Hill that very sadly went hermie on him) that nutrition in this phase could have had an influence, after asking what happened to him. I would have loved to see that grow to full harvest. But it makes me a bit cautious. if Haoss (whom I consider to be one of the star growers here) couldn't prevent this, what chance have I? I'm waiting until the girls start asking for nutrients. They'll show me what they need in their own time. For now this soil is the shizzle (also quite literally) and Im happy with how everything is going. I remember much more hassle and steering in the last grow. This grow, even the Gorilla runt seems happy. I now water them 3 liters of water / Perma tea mixture every 4 days, every 3rd watering I don't do the tea. This makes for fewer gnats and this soil seems to hold water nicely, also due to the hydro corn. What I like is there is always some unforeseen circumstance, a tilt of the tables, some battle to be fought which delivers in big harvests or, in worst case, no harvest at all. It makes it more exciting, when your heart is at stake, we pour a lot of love and attention in the ladies. So with hopes, but not too high, we go into flowering. Decent yield , tastes amazing even before curing. Got 189.5 grams of flower and 35.5 grams of shake.

I cut the LST cause was too much constrictive for the plant I use to watering 1 time every 4 days , 2L

Finally starting to fill out! And the smell is starting to become noticeable if you agitate the plant.

I cut off the net because Her Majesty pushed the buds together too badly.

She showed minor discoloration so I added very very little nute from GHE line of course AFTER checking and adjusting ph level first :)

Started off week 6 off by adding 5ml of Flying Skull Z7 to reservoir and adjusted reservoir PH to 6.0. I've got the blumats nearly dialed in and keep making small adjustments every 24 hours. I am holding off a few days on the nutrients to see what the plant tells me. The clawing seems to have improved(combo of over watering and not getting runoff on hand watered nutrients I believe). When I apply nutrients going forward I will make sure there is plenty of runoff so I don't repeat the same mistakes. 😬 on day 2 I applied 1 gal of nutrients and watered until runoff. On day 3 I defoliated the bottom of my plants to improve the air flow. On day 6 I added 5ml of flying skull Z7 to the reservoir. I noticed a possible calcium deficiency on one plant so on day 7 I applied my 1 gal of nutrients with the addition of calmag and silica. Ive only used calmag once growing in coco and it burned my plants...so I assumed there was enough from my tap water and nutrients. I know this goes against all advice.. I think it finally caught up with me LOL.LIve and learn to buffer your coco. Next grow I will buy buffered coco and use a calmag product 😅 I defoliated the center of my plants to increase airflow and expose light deeper into the canopy.

The plant on the right got chopped down the hairs were 90% dark brown while left was fully white last week when it got taken down it had only one day flush. This plant I will flush for a week and see which is better. It has decent size buds all the way to the bottom but this one growing still doesn't have as many crystals as the harvested plant which was definitely cut down way to early 😕 shame it must have forced to finish early from shock when I snapped a main branch clean off. This plant I will flush with plain filtered water for 7 days and even if it doesn't have as much crystals as the other plant, the bud size is 2x-3x the size of the plant that was cut down last week so I hope they will look a lot better size wise after they shrink when they are cut down and dried. I have also noticed some medium sized fan leads turning from green into a beautiful dark purple colour over the last 2-3 days slowly and it's spreading to other leaves the buds on this plant are also purple bits it's hard to see on here but looking sweet so far I have uploaded pic of the frost one which has been drying for a week now
