Grow day 77 its end of week 11 and things are ticking along nicely. Pineapple express had a small defol during the week and is doing her thing. She is 71 days old. Jack herer also had a small defol and is really packing on some trichomes. She is 71 days. Gorilla cookies had a tiny defol and her trichomes are starting turning Amber. She is 77 days old. Lemon pie has started to look a bit better this week, she had the biggest defoliation as there where lots of dead leaves. She is 72 days old. During the week I realised my PH pen was 0.2 out. Also my boiler is playing up again. I'm to far through this grow to abandon it. It's just the hot water that's playing up this time. Will probably run these nutes for another 5 days then switch to ripen and flush. As soon as its done I'm going have to invest in a new boiler. One of the plants was already having problems caused by whitefly. Apparently, the flies deposited some kind of virus that was destroying or "eating" the plant. To preserve the other plants, I took her out of the grow tent. I also started using neem oil every 15 days to prevent issues and avoid whiteflies.

17.3.25: So I watered with 2ltrs of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.4 with 4ml Xpert Nutrients Cal-Mag amino acids. I have really overdone the nutrients, I got carried away 😅 To try and rectify the situation, I've cut everything out except Cal-Mag amino acids. I will try to just stick to this with some Biosys, but I'm running out of that now, too. Anyway, with Or Without, I'm sure it'll balance out. Fingers crossed 🤞

4/9: Frost really coming in and she’s getting funky 4/10: I opened her up a little with HST and bamboo stick tie-downs to hit the center, fed her going to check in again in 2 days to see the progress. 4/12: My spreading her open I did a few days ago actually did help the center out and will pay off in the long run. She’s getting sticky and the calyxes are swelling up. The buds haven’t really fattened up in the last few days just got bigger length wise. 4/13: I might have fucked around and made her herm on me....I gonna wait and see what happens the next few days/weeks

Wow what a week this has been, the plants have all undergone fair dramatic changes. A real flurry of leaf yellowing, pistil darkening/curling, and bug swelling. The smell is really coming along now, I think we're really quite close to harvest. On the assumption that pre-flowering was two weeks, this strain should be ready at the end of week seven flowering, so in the case of this diary the end of week nine (i.e. one week to go!). Pistils are about 70-80% amber, and the lower pistils on buds have started curling inward. Trichomes look to me to be something like 10% clear 80% Milky 10% White. I have smoke tested a small bud off the lower part of plant 3 today after quick-drying overnight in the airing cupboard, taking into consideration the obvious chlorophyll from the fast dry, the high was much closer to what I am expecting than the last smoke test. It came on at the normal pace, was quite effective, and lasted a good while. I am really hoping I can navigate my way through the next process, as I feel quite close now to having some home grown bud for the first time. The plants are being well watered this evening with just water, and this will be the last time that I water them until harvest. I will continue to monitor these daily, I intend to harvest at the first sign of any amber trichome. Advice and comments welcomed. P.S. Exciting news! I was hoping for a better result but it lost a lot of quality while saving the video. Week 4, she is sitting under HPS for a few days till the new LED is ready for her. So far everything goes well, did another big jump in growth, starts taking a lot of water in a few days, always a good sign. Conditions are similar to before, slowly transitioning into flower, hopefully with a good bit of stretch soon. Increased the feeding a bit again, trying to see how she reacts to it, autos in hydro are always a bit of an experiment but with time you find your formula.

The seeds and strains from 420fastbuds are the most reliable that I have ever grown. I have never experienced a failed germination with fast buds. Here’s a quick update on their progress: most of the plants are now starring to flower.

Drunken bitch Slap is growing good under the Hortibloom Solux 350. I pruned her roots and also did some lst on her. I accidentally broke a branch while lst ing her. I propped it back in place, and hopefully it heals if not I will ben the other two closer that way to close the gap. I have added nothing, but water since start. My nutrition mix was a bit strong in the start up. Everything has been good with this plant so far. Ran out of room to raise my light more so i turned the intensity down from 80% to 69% giggity. The white hairs coming out of the buds stopped looking burnt and withered so I think my PPFD lower is better. My lame little dehumidifier is doing its best but these girls are moisture machines, transpiring like crazy. 58% RH is about as low as is possible. Many leaves have been removed to promote airflow and even light distribution as well as lower relative humidity. Lower larf has been removed without prejudice. The Jealousy would have been an unorganized massive bush without training and defoliation. It made so many bud sites. I love these genetics. When i do a trim the leaves smell so good on both plants. Fastbuds is the truth. Despite some minor mistakes and a few signs of suboptimal conditions these girls push on growing. Trust your insticts, listen to your girls!
