Tag 43: Mal wieder ordentlich entlaubt.

This week has been cold in the grow room with day time temps at 16c and night time around 12-13c. Growth this week has been quite slow and I wonder what has the biggest impact on growth rate. Is it temperature, light intensity or soil moisture levels? I've had the light at 25% since germination and wonder if it would be beneficial to start increasing the light levels or wait until they're more established before doing this. If anyone happens to read this and has thoughts about how to encourage faster growth, I'd be interested to hear.

The weather is really bad for her flowering stage. All these rains may push me to an esrly harvest. I will have to clear up the land and setup a greenhouse with solar-powered fans for the humidity.

At the start of week 8 all 3 girls are showing preflowers! They have started stretching a good amount. I will apply nutrients on day 5 just before I leave for vacation. I added 5ml of Flying Skull Z7 to my reservoir. On day 3 of week 8 I added another 5 gal bucket reservoir for my Blumats, which will work through a siphon to essentially raise my reservoir volume to 10 gal for my upcoming vacation. I defoliated the centers of each plant to improve light penetration and airflow. On day 4 of week 8 I took clones from each Pheno. On day 5 of week 8 I applied weekly nutrients. I also filled up and adjusted the PH of my 2- 5 gal reservoirs in preparation for vacation tomorrow (I adjusted the PH to 5.5 in hopes that it will naturally drift up over the week I'm gone to no higher than 6.5). Defoliated them a little. Nothing special. I try to keep at least 3 or so big leaves below the net jfust in case there is an issue with the plant where it shows the symptoms at the lower branches first. Took of the humidity dome sooner than I wanted. I swear it makes em stretch. Also turned up the light! Got get the RH up a bit but these babies are up outta the ground and doing their thing! This will be the first grow that I try to water according to the plant and NOT a schedule, therefore prob wont be watering much this week! __________________________________________ Not much to see, but not much to worry about! Gave em a little water just to get the top layer wet. Being much more patient and calm with these seedlings. 2 of them did stretch more than my liking but it shouldn't matter at all soon.

Not really much to say this week all 10 are growing fine with no problems at all I Will keep removing the larger fan leaves as I go along, I do this in order to try and get as much light to the bottom branches as I can before I switch them to 12/12. This will hopefully keep the canopy as even as it can be without having to do to much training or topping. Day 34 - Looking abit skinny and after the defoliation, but had to remove the middle growth and large fan leaves to get light to them bottom branches and new growth tips. I’m aiming to keep them small and bushy

Ok so I'm a couple of days later with posting, though the images are of last Friday. They went full into flowering. At the same time, 3 of the 4 have some weird growth going on. Deeply ridged leaves, a bit springy plants. I raised the lights cause I also saw white points and other leaf burn. I have to get used to the nitro-fueled energy of these thoroughbreds and the 'on the edge' style of growing that autos deliver, as a mostly photoperiod grower, this is both exiting as well as a bit out of control in the style of a rollercoaster, once you get on - you have to do the ride. All in all amazed with the vigor, though clearly, the XLs outperformed the Forbiddens in growth. I have so many conditions going on, however, that all will be too close to call for now and in the long run my results will have been tainted by my experimenting and finding all optimal with these rocket-style plants. I'm amazed at this growth as Jack must have been when popping his magic beans. Still, they keep developing and power through with bud formation. I have to watch these lights, the SP 3000 by Mars Hydro is so powerful, that also getting this light optimal is a whole learning curve, but it does deliver a punch. I think I overdid the amendments at the start with the blood meal and that's why I see ridging so I'm careful with the Nitrogen and give them lots of fresh water with just some topmax in between. They seem to hold out but its on the edge. As far as bending, after the initial bend, I saw many branches develop that are nicely outward, tucked some leaves but I'm happy with the shape of the plant and will let the center bud develop. Decently shitty grow. Lets see what happens till flowering. 5th october: 2 litres for each pot Started lsting them today .
