Setting up the garden of my dreams - Scroggernaut 2.0 "either yer scroggin er yer not" Old grow was a 4x4 closet inside a garage. New grow will be a 8x10 room with a 4x8 and 2x4 in 2020, and adding at least another 4x4 in 2021. My son will be learning how to grow this year in a dedicated 2x4 space, soiless mix, hand water. The additional 4x8 will be in a dutch bucket recirculating system (Thanks to GreenMachine for the advice so far, coming for more). All tables will be custom designed and made by me. Genetics will be a mix of Original Sensible Seeds (Bruce Banner #3) In house genetics (Slurricane ix) and some FastBuds testers So far in 5 days I have built the structure, and completed most of the insulating. Wiring before I finish the walls to save some future headaches. Lighting will be 3 x HLG 550 clones over a 4 x 10 foot area. This gives 36 LED watts per sqft, and the PAR rating on these lights is insane. Should be more than enough light. Day 22: Today I increased the lamp output to 100 watts. So that the fresh new leaves are supplied with enough light. In the little video you can see how I mix the fertilizer. I also find the play of colors of the individual components quite beautiful. Of course I also solved the small visible residue before I watered the plants. Day 25: The trunk is slowly becoming a trunk. With increasing growth and the number of leaves, the seedlings slowly become young plants. Day 27: The first roots protrude from the bottom of the pot. I think it's time to plant the young plants in larger pots. The plants became 3 times this week 200ml of water with 0,4g/l Hybrid Powderfeeding by Greenhousefeeding.

So I have spider mites. I screwed up so much i think this is going 15 weeks. Lost coast to the rescue! time to finish these buggers off

D11 - The start of the second week of veg. The girl isn't very tall yet but she is looking healthy and vibrant, and I think it is fair to say at this point that this soil is just fine. I just got unlucky with bad seeds. Oh, well. Upwards and onwards! D14 - The girl is growing along nicely. Still low but is starting to spread out. I also trimmed the cover crop. D17 - The last day in week two of veg. She is slowly outgrowing her cup, and I'm going to transplant her next week.

Big Jack widow grew great, and finish fast. She has some great frosty purple hues in her dense colas. The Viparspectra P4000 light worked great. I am Cutting her down, and will try to post a video here, but if it does not take it. The video can be found on my YouTube channel, link below. I learned a lot about the quality of water, and treating it properly this grow. So far roots on other grows has been great. This grow was saved by it just in time. 2/4: Photo session day! The big one is growing a few inches per day..that shit needs to stop soon or I'll have to supercrop her lovely branches.. Soooperunt is now as tall as the second sister, but not as bushy. All three are slow to flower, like the #11's. I had a total infestation of Cattus (felis) which I documented in my photos. Eradication seems impossible, so I'm opting to allow a degree of predation, but hoping trichome production will, at least, deter them soon.😁 2/5: I fed everybody today with about 3/4 gallon each and sprayed them down with Axiom harpin proteins for the last time this run. I made a DIY CO2 generator today using a 5 gallon cat litter bucket, a small aquarium pump, some air line tubing, and a bubble stone, plus 6 cups of sugar and 30 grams of wine yeast in 2 gallons of warm water. I put the tube where the CO2 is exhausted up against the back of the oscillating fan that aims down over the plants so they are being constantly forcefully bombarded with high levels of CO2(1300+ppm) from above. I set the ac infinity controller to allow the temps to climb up to 89f before the fan turns on. 2/6: These girls are a much darker shade of green than anybody else in the garden. I bought some Gro-Pro pot risers to elevate the pots so that they will dry out faster..seem pretty effective. 2/7: I'm only seeing a few pistils popping here and there on these girls. I expected them (and the other mostly indica strains) to be moving along faster at this point. Not sure if they are happy with such a short nap every day.. I foliar fed with big bloom and tiger bloom today. 2/8: I ordered a second 6" AC Infinity fan to connect to my controller, some ducting, and a diffuser which I'll mount to the wall, down near the floor. The fan unit will be in another closet, adjacent to the garden closet, and I'll run ducting up through that closet ceiling into the attic, with a filter on the end to keep bugs and particulates out. For the next 6 weeks or so, it will provide a supply of colder fresh air. I did the math, and it will now only take about 1 minute and 40 seconds to completely exchange the air in the closet. Depending on the outside air temp at the time, it should take anywhere between 8 and 20 minutes for the closet to heat back up to 80f and the fans to kick back on again. This Spring, on days when it's warmer than 72f outside, I'll disconnect the duct in the closet and stretch it into that bedroom, clipped to the window unit air conditioner output, cranked down as low as it will go. This Summer, I'm gonna just run a pair of the quantum boards and grow 4 or 5 autos in there, but this should help keep the temps cooler in summer as well, without dedicating an air conditioner to the grow op.🙏 2/9: I foliar fed them with grow big, big bloom, and tiger bloom and checked moisture in their pots. They're due for a good watering tomorrow.

26.12.24: I have noticed light stress on my plants. I had moved the lights further away and increased the light intensity to 70%. Unfortunately that created some issues. Namely severe palour of the leaves. To try and rectify the situation, I've dimmed the lights to about 30%, staying at the same distance, about 30 inches away. I measured the par levels, after I did this. They should a reading of anywhere between 40 and 150, at the canopy of the plants. They are all different sizes. This seems to have improved the colouring on all plants. After this evenings watering, I will monitor recovery and increase lighting intensity again slowly. I am also using the light cycle of 21/3, so the plants have many hours more light to absorb, than for example 12/12 or 18/6. 29.12.24: So I finally gave LST a shot, it's probably a bit too late, however I really want to get the most of the triploid pheno, and I went a little crazy and LST'd all plants except 2, as they're too small. I did that late last night, this afternoon I was amazed to see the plants turn their leaves back to the light source. I'm glad I overcame my fear of trying it. I'm very excited to see them adapt and progress! 😁 there are videos above with before and after of my LST process. I am pleased with the progress, considering all of my mistakes! Last week of flowering for our banana purple Punch from fastbuds 420 This week only water was given to the girls, as at the end of week we are harvesting the plants! Very nice smells comes out of the tent, cant wait to try all of the fastbuds strains i have in the tent 🤗🤗🤗

This plant was ready on Sunday, but I didn't have the time nor energy to chop her. Today was the day, and I am excited to see how it is after the dry. Maybe this will allow me to take a break before I get my next lineup selected.
