Costa Mesa Haze is what I am renaming the "Vorneese haze" bag seed from my other grow diary. One of the best flowers Ive ever had in my life. Purchaed from HTC church in Costa Mesa, California in July of 2018. They arent a legit dispensary so they have zero clue who grew it or wtf is, or who grew it. I researched as much as possible and never found anything out. 12 Costa Mesa Haze 4 Blueberry Muffin Went a little OCD with this tent but figured after outgrowing the last one with randomly size plants I'd keep everything the same height as much as possible. Really focused on taking good cuttings of the same size knowing what I wanted this tent to look like. Only running the cree bulbs right now on the light letting them ease into things without stress. Will Veg for 4-5 weeks tops then 12/12.

things are getting huge. did another feed with 2-8-4 and brewed a compost tea. i bought one of those huge vivosun air pumps and a couple big air stones. just warning the pump gets hot! i have really big fan blowing on it and it seemed to keep it a nice normal temp drinking about a 1/2gallon of water a day

I am a bit confused, it's flowering, but it's slow. I am sure temperature doesn't help, I gave her 1 liter of water every 3 days, supplemented with 1ml of biobiz biobloom and 1ml of biobiz topmax. I also had to defoliate a bit, it's in a 3x3 tent with another nl, a bit smaller, but still bushy.

I absolutely love to watch them grow! Especially that moment they hit their first growth spurt. I started with RO water that is remineralized for drinking purposes. The ppm is only 18! My tap is 156! So considering they don’t need much water, I’ve been stealing some of our drinking water. The RO water starts at pH of 7. After I add the nutrients, ppm of 249 @ pH of 5.8 while soil is still sweet @ pH of 7 I think my days are off as a new week begins on the last day of the previous week. I am going to leave that for consistency. 04/21 - Noticing some possible nutrient issues with the Fruity Pebbles for several days now. Going to see what she needs. Up front I’m thinking maybe just a super small amount of Amino Acids with a little Epsom Salt. Maybe she is struggling to access the nitrates from the neem cake. IF it’s a issues with nitrogen. We will see. Maybe she would benefit from some extra calcium?… Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Day 22 and I am noticing how these girls have been burning up a lot of potassium lately, dealing with the wind and sun 💨 ☀️, getting pushed around all day. I plant to top dress with some Kelp Meal pretty soon. Day 24 -> 4/22/22- a quote from the weather on today’s red flag warning and dust storm warning. “ HAZARD...Less than a quarter mile visibility with damaging wind in excess of 60 mph. SOURCE...Satellite imagery. IMPACT...Dangerous life-threatening travel.” I’m keeping the girls inside today. Day 26, I was planning to check the runoff on some of these girls, especially the fruity pebbles, however I messed that up as I also top dressed WAY too much of the seaweed bliss. So I flushed with plain RO water at pH of 7 until there was only slight coloration in the runoff. I didn’t check the runoff as a lot has changed with all that flushing. So next watering/feeding I will make sure I check the runoff on multiple plants. So the seaweed bliss with its 17 on potassium, seems to be the most likely culprit for why there is a bronze-ish color on the inside of the new growth. Hopefully a foliar feed of Epsom salts can correct the problem. Inside tent, lights on LOW. Noticing similar pattern in all of them to a degree, most noticeable in the fruity pebbles.

1/2/23 - The lady is getting fairly close to harvest so I've added the dry KoolBloom to her mix... not real sure if you're supposed to use it WITH the liquid but since the liquid is already in the bucket and since it's really hard to get a potassium or phosphorus toxicity, yeah... why not! She'll be coming down in a week or two.... I'm kind of excited! OH! And btw, this lady's leaves just naturally curl down - nothing I did changed that, EVER... and she certainly didn't have a nitrogen toxicity and her pH was always pretty spot on... it's just the way she grows... she's, well, DIFFERENT! LOL! 01/03 - Really bulking up all over... trichs are getting pretty milky so it shouldn't be long now! 01-06 - Reduced her EC to 0.6 for the next couple of days. Going to harvest on Sunday, I think! 01/04 - She's really happy... REALLY happy! And I'm so happy with her!! 01/05 - I've pretty much decided she's going to get the chop this weekend. Since her CBD:THC is 30:1, I'm not going to get amber trichs on her so am relying on other means to measure her readiness for harvest... her fade is continuing, her pistils are becoming mostly brown, her buds are pretty fat and dense, her EC is rising and pH really falling madly so she's telling me she's got way too much food at present (and I haven't increased that at all) ... which means she's probably leeching nutes into the water ... anyway, this weekend will be her last ... I'll change out the bucket today and just put her on FloraKleen for a couple of days... Trim jail, here I come! :-D Happily!! 01/07 - tomorrow is the day...

Just started the flush for the final week. The plant should start finishing with in the next week and I'll pull it down and replace it with the next crop.

Week 10 was more like week 11 but I dunno how to change the pics. I’ve really lost track of how long it’s been after stunting them so badly a couple months ago. I’m giving them 8 weeks (at least) in flower each regardless.

Harvest - 169 days / 66 days in flower Well, we did it. I made it to the end. All I can think is...WOW that was A LOT of work. But I think I had very good results for a first time grower. I For harvest, we took Plant B and D and prepared them for immediate freezing. Altogether, I ended up with 1212g wet on plant B and 1089g wet on plant D. I ended up freezing 1816g of this. There was some from each of these plants that was set aside from freezing because, for whatever reason, I thought they were not worthy of washing because of how progressed the leaf damage was from the root rot battle. So that was cut up and dried as nuggets instead of hanging like the rest. Sawtooth and Plant C were both harvested and hung in the tent to dry for 12-13 days. I think I overdried by 1-2 days because when I jarred them they struggled to raise up to 55%. So I am using rh% packs. After drying Sawtooth and plant C, I ended up at 459.8g for dried flower and 170.8g in dried trim. So just over 1lbs between the 2 plants and 4.15lbs wet between the other 2 plants that was washed for hash. So... are you for real with the effort involved with washing bud for bubble hash? I don't think I would do this in the warmth. I only pursued doing bubble hash cause it's cold right now and I figured that would really help. Even in the 30s(fahrenheit) stuff would stick. It's hilarious how sticky of a process this is. I hope you have a bunch of gloves, water, and ice to burn through. I went through over 60 gallons of distilled water and 80lbs of ice to wash the 4 lbs. I am envious of people in videos using a hose to collect, clean, and refill. Also, doing this as a 1 person show is the definition of insanity. I broke the washings up into 3 parts. The first part was was the tester wash. I broke off 420g of plant D's 848gs available. I used 7 bags to see where I would end up. I used 220, 160, 120, 90, 73, 45, 25. What I determined was that if I was hunting a specific micron with a lot of material this would help find what you can get. But for the next washing I reduced the amount of bags to 4; 220, 160, 45, 25. The time, with the 4 bags, I washed with 809g. I had a much more favorable experience and return this second time but I had green fast and probably used too much ice. The 3rd wash was the remaining 631g and I found an extra 137g I added of sugar leaves and trim, brining the 3rd wash to 768g. I used 5 bags this time; 220, 160, 73, 45, 25. By the 3rd wash I have become an expert in collection but also never want to do it again. lol. 2 of the 3 washes have dried and I have 43.4g of bubble and 2.8g of dry sift. 37.4g of that bubble is able to be pressed into rosin. I will probably press that dry sift as well. The other stuff is 25u or 160u that I will experiment with or cook with. The other stuff is drying so I can't add it all in. I pressed a bunch of trim and some flower. The trim presses nice and the dab is decent. I am working out a good temp for the flower. But the problem with all these tests to find the sweet spot is that I have all these testers to go through but want to keep pressing and trying that! I think I will need to work on a better storage solution. I can't wait for the fresh frozen bubble hash rosin pressing... I have over 20gs of bubble to put in one bag. I am really looking forward to this. But I will need to work up to that pressing since I have never pressed hash/kief/bubble before in my rosin press. So this should be really fun. I will 100% post an update of the hash pressing once I do that and also after the 3rd wash session is done drying. In closing, saying I learned a lot from this grow would be an understatement. I fully expect to start it back up in a few weeks after some R&R then some R&D. There's some things I will need to work on before I start again, such as: having a single external reservoir that feeds multiple plants, hard to clog and easy to use ebb and flow system, miscellaneous final run stuff like space for drying. On day 13 they recieved higher nutriens EC 1 PH 6.4 Topped 4 plants on day 17 On day 17 I gave them another too hot nutrients solution EC 1.8 PH 6.5 can see some problems (in my opinion its nuts burn due not me realizing that soil was already a bit pre-fertilized + pushing everything too far due to its my first grow I found out at day 17, when I saw first signs - sadly I topped them that day and I brought them a lot more stress 😒 Transplanted plants into final 15l pots on day 20 Right now they are getting RO water only, will feed on day 22 again with EC of 0,9 I will aim for 6.2 PH as well EDIT: couple of people confirmed nutrients burn, so since I transfered 1l pots into 15l fresh lighmix, I will not feed until day 26 - they will get only hydro roots with RO water EDIT2: Forgot to write info about my light schedule - running lights at 240W and right now I am hitting around 375 PPFD with 18hrs on - so that is around 24.3 DLI :) I am checking it with LUX meter and converting to PPFD - then DLI

Welcome back everyone, As you can see are almost all seedlings growing. Some where still in the soil. Might happend when giving water(seedlings can turn or get deeper), checked it out and they are alive and well. All pictures are from day 4. The humidifier had been added, so I had to adjust the room. I spotted a corner of the room that gets dryer faster. I adjust the fan for now and see what happens. Corners are always hard to get perfect. Sometimes the light, air, watering doesn't come there properly. Seedlings don't need much nutrients, neighter do autoflowers. with normal soil I would recommend to only give water for 1-2 weeks, since it holds nutrients in it as well. But since I'm using Cocos for this grow, I might have to add some basic nutrients in the upcomming week. For this week I gave/give only water turns and Startbooster/rhyzotonic turns. Update day 5: - Lowerd the lights to avoid stretching, they are now at 75cm distance from lamp to pots. I want them at 40-50 cm, but I don't want to rush it. - Added another layer of cocos to avoid the soil from drying up therefore the roots from dying. This will happen because of lowering the lamps down, the soil will get exposed more to heat. As you can see, the humidifier is doing his thing haha. Pictures and videos where taken without the lights + fans on. because of that, it will look like this. Still fun thought. Arround 7 seeds didn't reach the surface yet, lets hope they make there way up soon. Enjoy!

OK guys I'm back after being away for 2 weeks. I've proceeded to a final transplantation into a 9L AirPot container, right before I left for vacations. I also added a canopy-ring in order to open up the plant and start some LST without adjusting strings everyday. A friend was in charge of the grow room while I was away, and she did a pretty good job. The AK420 is healthy, she is the smallest plant in the room but her shape and color are amazing. Short inter-nodes. She has 8 main summits and all her apexes are about the same height. She will remain under vegetative stage for 1~2 weeks before flipping into 12/12 light schedule. I can't wait to see her full of buds! Thanks for stopping by 👊
