Welcome to week 1 of my CBD Medi Kush Diary! I have 2 - CBD Medi Kush by Spliff Seeds going in the same tent with 14 other plants (full details on all of the other plants can be found on my "Dude's New Diary to Rule Them All" diary, check it out). But with the CBD Medi Kush I'm also growing 3 - DinaMed CBD+ by DinaFem, 1 - Critical+ by DinaFem, 3 - Cream & Cheese CBD by Seedsman and 7 - Cherry Blossom CBD Hemp by Elevator Supply Co. The 2 CBD Medi Kush plants and 2 of the DinaMed CBD+'s were all started from seed at the same time (all other plants are clones). Once all surviving clones/seedlings were healthy enough I transplanted from dixie cups to small pots (I guess around 1 litre). They were transplanted into soil I had been composting and turning for 3-4 weeks. They really responded well to the transplanting and the new soil. Noticeable growth in 48 hours. The pictures in week 1 were taken right after transplanting (check week 2 and you will see a very noticeable change all around). My plan this grow is to go organic (or as organic as possible). While the soil was composting I added old fan leaves to the mix as well as Recharge, Mr B's Green Trees 'Growth', and Jobe's Organic granular fertilizer. I know, I know, everyone says don't use time release nutes with cannabis. BUT, The Rev said it was fine in his "True Living Organics" book. He actually recommends putting spikes in the flowering pots prior to transplant (I'm planning on trying that too). Recharge and Mr B's Green Trees don't claim to be organic specifically for whatever reason, but the ingredients include pretty much everything The Rev recommends adding to composting soil. Plus I love Recharge, that stuff is great! Organic or not I'll be using Recharge along the way. Here's the setup... First of all, I'll let you know my grow area is in my attic. The previous owners finished the attic with walls lights and even carpeting, but for some reason kept the folding attic stairs. Its pretty a pretty good space, we divide the attic in half. One side for my plants, they other for attic type storage. I have 2 2x4 tents and a larger flowering area (10x12'ish). One of the tents I use for drying only, the other is where I have these babies growing. The babies are currently under a single Viparspectra V300 300W LED. I'm having really good results with Viparspectra LED's. Bang for the buck, Viparspectra is hard to beat. I have a 2nd 300W Viparspectra which is a R300 (more reds) which is better for flowering. I may stick the R300 in the tent as well at some point, but for now the single V300 is doing a great job. In the flowering area I'm running 1000W HPS. The HPS has been kicking ass with the plants in flower now and I'm expecting more of the same with these girls when they are ready for the big time. Side note: I'm running a separate diary for all of these girls. In this diary I'm just going to focus on the CBD Medi Kush specifically. But I did start the CBD Medi Kush and DinaMed CBD+ seeds at exactly the same time. So, in the other diary I will do some comparisons and contrasts between the 2 strains as they grow. So far the DinaMed is taller, but the CBD Medi Kush has beautifully stacked node structure. This looks like its going to be a win-win. Please follow and comment away!!! It is mainly sativa, but only 60/40, so guys, if we want to maintain a more sativa effect, we need to harvest with a majority of cloudy/milky trichomes if we want a more indica effect, remembering that THC oxidizes too much, amber is the right color. I use it during the day and therefore I look for a more sativa effect when the plant is sativa. Feeding schedule has been steady with the girls transpiring 5 liters of water and "eating" 8 g of Megacrop and 20 ml of P-K booster per day. It's about that time when it would be wise for me to freeze my pruning shears in a gallon of ice to help with my impulse control. Geezuz these gals are getting dank. I had been running the 6-in carbon filter only during lights-on but noted a serious spike in terps during dark hours lately that I'm sure drifted to the neighbours, so the grow room air is now being scrubbed 24/7. That doesn't help with the stank that sticks to me whenever I touch the plants or even just go in the room. Candidly, I the smell is addictive to me, but the wife ain't no fan, so I have to do a body douche with alcohol, soap and water whenever I've been in the grow room. Bo is on the home stretch -- or fattening, at this stage -- with pistils browning across the canopy and trichomes starting to cloud up. I'm starting to believe @PirateJoe and @SativaKid in their mid-December estimates, for Bo, at least. Sophia continues to plug away, getting thick, but pistils are just starting to brown and trics are crystal clear, so 2 weeks behind, at least. The buds on both plants are developing a texture similar to the Kilimanjaro I grew outside this summer, @PirateJoe and @SativaKid have alluded to this as well: Dense, mushy buds that have an almost oily feel. I'm guessing this is characteristic of Sativas in general? Community input would be appreciated. I've been increasing the duration of UV exposure by 30 min during each of the 2 daily exposure periods every few days. Now up to 2 hours each period, and since I'm seeing no damage, I'll probably continue to increase the UV so it's on continuously for 7 hrs straight during the middle of the "day."

For so long there was no answer for weeks, because at the time when I could take pictures and write, ultraviolet worked - you should not interact with it without protection, and there it is +30 ... heat, even more so in clothes! All the leaves were burned, but how the firebrands swelled !!! Flushing is over, today or tomorrow we will “cut down”. I was glad to work on the bugs with this strain, it showed how cool and persistent it can be, it is the strongest in the box (unlike him, Amnesia and Tutankhamon did not cope with 2 hour UV and were “cut off” a week and a half earlier ). Bud sites are producing black/purple spot in leaves. Bud growth is producing as the days go by. Really excited with this being my first grow Nitrogen boost really helped with the deficiencies. Plants are starting to look really heathy... Prunes lower colas that weren't stretching past the canopy and receiving energy so more energy can be used towards the top buds

Flowering day 18 since time change to 12 / 12 h Hey guys :-) The ladies have recovered well from the cold thanks to the heating mat and have developed beautifully 👍. During the check today I saw that despite spraying neem oil 3 times, there are still a few trips :-( . Now I've ordered nematodes again specifically against trips for leaf and substrate. I will use that immediately 👍. Watering was done twice this week, each time with 1.3 l (nutrients see table above) Next week I will remove the lowermost shoots so that the energy goes into the upper buds. Fresh osmosis water was mixed with tap water and put into the 100 liter tank so that the water can stand and I'll have enough next week :-) Otherwise everything was cleaned. This week was the first feeding I did 1 tbsp of 444, 1/4 tsp of molasses, 1 tsp fish and seaweed extract, then 1/4 tsp Epsom salt . One if my plants is still looking rough but I’m trying to learn how to grow so having one sick plant can help with learning how to fix specific issues in the future. Week 6 starts 12/31/21 but I happened to notice a weird leaf the night before. The Northern Light X Blueberry auto is very dark green and has sharp downturned tips. Which starts down the rabbit hole of google search to see the cause. I decide that is is Nitrogen toxicity caused by underwatering. At this time I was not really paying attention to when I feed them just whenever the pots were light. I watered them I later realize that while it may have started with underwatering it was so many other problems at once. I forgot to check the ppm or ph going in one day last week so I checked them going out. The run off was 2700ppm and I forgot to look up what that meant. I also doubled the strength of the nutes. 1/2 Saturday I flushed all the plants with 5 gallons of fresh water each that read 6.43 ph & 51ppm. I have Fox farm sledge hammer but for some reason I decided to use just water. The run off was consistently 6.2ph and I rinsed until the ppm was about 450 on NB. 250 ppm on Gorilla Glue and Pineapple express. I then decided that since it was nitrogen toxicity from underwatering that I should not starve the plant so I gave her week 1 of flower nutrients from the Foxfarm feeding schedule at 1/2 strength. I did not use Calmag since it's nitrogen was 2 and I didn't add the boomerang because that has nitrogen as a 1 and I thought since this plant has nitrogen toxicity I should skip the extra 3 nitrogen for now. I set each plant up on blocks so air could totally circulate to dry out the pots. Turned the fans on and waited. 1/6 There has been almost no growth since the flush. NB started off at a little over 9 inches and if I stretch her she is 10 at most.

Another cold week, we are having around 2ºC Minimum temperature, and its really cold at night( I mean, for Spain, because if some Nortern people hear this may be laughting at me hahaha) But there is a range of hours when then sun hits directly the plant if its not cloudy, like 6h-8h, this if i dont have to roll out the awning, so the plant is protected when raining. Did not feed the plant until past the middle of the week, because i ovserbed that the flowers were developing slowly as im accostummed, probably because of the low temperatures, so i decided to give her the last feeding and start the flush at the end of this week, because i felt the plant was like at least 2 weeks from proper harvest, and still developing the flowers with white hairs... Im looking for something narcotic with a nice Therpenoid Profile so the later the better in my opinion, but without passing he Ripper Line hahaha :) So last feeding was like a fattening one... Higher Dose of nutrients for the plant, and later added some Micro Vita to the soil, 3grams, and until the end with water and some carbs in 1/2 irrigations ... What amazed me is the strenght of this plant, surviving these really low temperatures, growing a little slowlier, but without problems or buds, amazing plant, as amazing as beautiful, im in love with the colours.. Looks like close to the end with these 3 that are left standing. They are all still drinking it up, so I'm still pumping the nutes through them. One has some pretty heavy nugs and has the serious lean going. The tallest one of course. Just looking at them, the one that came down already was almost 2 oz. I'm guessing about another 3-4 oz to come out of the remaining 3. It's some heavy, greasy, dripping with trichs kinda weed. Perfect.

The made a jump in size. The weather conditions change each day. Some days it's very hot, some days it's more cold with less light. She tripped her size and shows the first pre flowering. Unfortunately she has had heat damage, but it's minor and should not effect her that much. The new leafs look very healthy and the other leafs also look good, except for the heat damage. I think she will be growing to about one meter or so, which is fine for me. I'm looking forward to some nice growth:) I do not plan to use topping or other training techniques, since it's the first time I'm using this genetic and don't want to f it up. She has a really nice spot an my south balcony, which gives her more than enough direct sunlight to bring her to its full potential, if the weather will become more consistent. If more sunlight is predictable, I will increase the silica dosage to prevent more heat damage, even though I know even that has limits.
