Some defoliation goin oing ^.^ is coming along for what it’s got any comments

Gorilla, gorilla, my problem child. The only one popping out of 5 but she is weaker than her roommates. She stays behind compared to them. But what can I do other than TLC, she has the best conditions, which are optimal in this grow room, also judging by the other two plants. Until I have a bigger operation, which in the current political climate, is not soon, where I can make mothers and clone them, breed my own strains, and root out runts like this, we do it like life. We play the hand as it is dealt to us and we love all our children the same... although this one is special. So not a genderfluid Silverback yet, but it ain't over till the voluptuous lady sings. We shall nurse this little runt until adulthood, who knows she might surprise us, she should have the mighty Gorilla Glue Number Fouh genes in there somewhere. Now come on out here and show daddy what you're made of... This week we spread out the leaves and branches, some leaf tucking and gentle LST, to prepare for some higher stress and super cropping today. Two days back we made the switch and set the lights to 12/12. Now the flowering stretch will begin, thus we bend the branches further outward in preparation for the canopy. When I do this I notice the branches are thick and sturdy, with no breakage at all unlike my previous grow, the gelato 33. I snapped some branches applying the super cropping and just normal bending with those. It seems like the fan (I didn't have a good option previous grow, hence the flimsier branches there) but also this lighting and soil regime are topnotch, asides from outdoor I haven't seen such lush bushiness yet, even on a more runt-like plant. This MarsHydro SP3000 is still performing great, such controlled temperatures, such an ocean of light. I only wish I started growing with this earlier. What can she perform? Will she cover the net? Will she deliver gorgeous buds, like she is known to do? 🌿Week 4: Defoliation & SCROG Setup Week 4 was all about structure and airflow. The canopy was getting bushy fast, with a ton of inner growth, so we went in for a solid defoliation session across the board. Lower fans, overlapping leaves, and shaded internodes were cleaned up to let light penetrate deeper into the canopy and reduce potential humidity traps. Right after that, we finally dropped the SCROG net, stretched out gently across the canopy to guide the branches horizontally and prep for flower stacking. Some of these phenos are already reaching for the sky, so the timing felt just right. Captured a full-time-lapse clip of the defoliation + netting process. It’s super satisfying watching the chaos turn into clean lines. Nature meets intention. Feed Bloom since 20/6 22/6 Defoliation 🌱 Plant Response: After defol, they bounced back fast. Tops are perky, leaves are praying, and stretch is continuing in a controlled way. The structure’s more open now — better airflow, better light distribution, better everything.

Week 8 of flower Well this plant is really filling out. I definitely roasted the edges of the her fan leaves but she is still chugging along nicely. She should start to ripen up in the next couple of weeks. 😎😎

Week 5 Before and after LST

D15 - 9.27 - Cruising along, just watering them once a day D16 - 9.28 - I planted carrots and transplanted the rest of the seedlings. They are all in the same space. That one LA Sunset never really started to thrive, but I'll keep it for now. D18 - 9.30 - I topped my first plant for mainlining. I picked the strongest FWW with the most growth tip at the 3rd node and just went for it. She may be a little young, so I left her fan leaves for support. I've decided to do 3 groups of two for this grow, in an attempt to experience how these different strains respond to different techniques - Pair 1 will be mainlined with 8 mains, Pair 2 will be mainlined with 4 mains and Par 3 will not be mainlined but traditionally topped to 4 mains. D19 - 10.1 - Topped the first Black Sugar for mainlining. Her growth tips are really nice looking. D20 - 10.2 - Have them all topped 👌

Growing a little too tall for my room, but I think the stretch is pretty much done now. I super cropped 3 of the largest colas. Probably spoke too soon last week, PH dropped like a stone down to 4.5 a few days back. They had K and Mg lock out for maybe half a day. Stripped most of the lowest 10 leaves of nutrients. This is why defoliation is not the way to go, keep your leaves. They act as storage for nutrients and give you a buffer if PH lets you down 😁 It’s also pretty difficult to get a decent photo of the whole plants anymore 😕
