Day 80, 2nd of December 2020: Hi there! Ladies are cool everything is alright. In one week buds strated doubeling and the developement is dope haha. The 2 Zamnesia ladies are pretty Gelato is so nice bushy and the smell is great as well. Kalini Asia will be a green pheno I think and she my be hermied a bit on me.... I am still waiting to see I see some strange develepement lets say. Sweet Seeds girls are dope unfortunately Red Mandarine and Tropicanns poison don't show any sign of colouting yet but it is okay even if they green phenos.... It may happen in the end of the flowering cycle let's see. Basically that's all I wanted to share. Oh yes... this one: All good the lamp is now on 11 hours and off 13 hours. Every week 15 minutes was taken off and after 4 weeks here we go. Strated 12/12 and now 13/11 wanted try to imitate the nature as the light days are getting shorter. Fertilization has changed no more epsom salt from this week and I will stop giving nitrogen as well from next week. Great job Sweet Seeds and Zamnesia! Nice genetics :) Lovely plants!

Decided to bring the ladies outdoors to finish them off. I have a small 5x5 pop-up greenhouse that will keep them safe from the extreme weather. The nights are finally warm enough and we have some great sunshine coming in the next week. There are only about 4 weeks left for them so there should be lots of light for them to finish and produce, even in northern Ontario. They have started to flower and have really enjoyed being outdoors. We have had some very cloudy and rainy days for the past week, perfect weather to get them hardened off to the Sun. I’ve been watering every 4 days or so, keeping the PPM average for now until I see they are getting hungrier/thirstier. Can’t wait for the good part! Happy growing 🇨🇦❤️🌱😎💨

4/9/25 Welcome to another week. Week 5 since the flip of 12/12 just ended. So today is day 36 since 12/12. The begining of week 6. About halfway done with flowering. Time to start packing on weight. also its important to note that it took a week or so after 12/12 to have pistils show up. So its closer to 28 -30 days of Flowering. I have a foxtailing pheno thats mostly green with thin buds. I have a super chonker green pheno with ridiculously chunked up golfball sized nugs everywhere.(R3) I have a sativa style but thicker buds with nice long connected colas (R2) another smaller pheno with traits of some of the others and also green. and then a singlular pheno that looks gelato dominant and its purple pretty much everywhere to the point that i didnt notice its coloring until it was next to all of its sisters that are straight green. Day 70-77 (Day 71) Not exactly sure why but node spacing on bbb 6&7 is super tight still. Their stems are also harder and less bendy, almost like they’re root bound. Bbb #5 in my veg tent is looking bizarre and I’m at a loss for what to do. I’ve been looking up and asking around about the leaf crinkle and no one seems to know what’s wrong. Trashing a pheno of this would hurt. It could be a keeper too as I don’t think the problem is genetic. It’s definitely root bound but that doesn’t cause contorted new growth like that. I’ve concluded that it’s my dense soil coupled with root bound issues, overwatering and high RH. (Day 72) Later tonight I’m going to give bbb 5 a bath tub flush until it’s reading 200ppms, drain it well and then transplant into a 3g pot with lightly amended soil. I’m also going to give it a light defoliation. I don’t mind stressing the shit out of this plant right now because I won’t be flipping for another week at least. With the small container it will run out of amended nutes mid flower so I will hit it with a few synthetic feedings around then to test out the smokabilty and taste compared to organic nutrients. I might as well give the rest a good defoliation on the rest of the plants too. I will try to get most of what is under the trellis. (Day 73) I definitely defoliated #7 waaay too much. Since it’s tucked away in the corner and a really bushy plant I can’t train it as well as the others. I cut most of the sucker branches and the majority of the lower fans. This should prevent the need to defoliate at all until week 3 of flower. (Day 74) I’ve been reading that higher temperatures with a high RH can affect growth big time. It could be what’s causing all the crinkling and twisting. And now that the plants are in very late veg they could probably benefit from a lower RH. When I was running my temps around 74-78F and 70% RH I was in the perfect range. Now that I’m around 82-86F with the same 70% RH that could be what’s causing it. Hotter air holds more moisture than cooler air and proper vpd at 84F is around 75-80%. I’m going to turn up the speed on my carbon filter and set my controller to 75%. If I don’t see a difference or it gets worse I will drop to 65 and go from there. (Day 76) I finally got the lights raised up another 4 inches or so. It’s not much but it should help reduce the intensity and stretch the nodes more. I’m starting to think the super tight node spacing and droopy/contorted growth has more to do with something I’ve been reading about called ‘soil compaction’. Apparently farmers often deal with compacted soil in fields from running tractors over it all day. When I potted the plants I gave them a good little jiggle to compact the soil down further so I could fit a bit more in the container. I think this could be the culprit as they don’t seem to be drying out evenly. Even the plants in my other room are not drying out like they should and it’s probably from compacting too. With the addition of rock dust and dry amendments the soil can become sandy/clay like and retain a lot more moisture. Wish I would have added a few more liters of perlite and packed the soil a bit looser. Either way I need to get this problem sorted ASAP before I get root rot. Earlier in the season when I overwatered, I stuck a fish tank air pump into the soil and it aerated the soil enough to prevent overwatering. The only reason I discontinued it is because it didn’t have much effect in the 1.7g pots. I just ordered a 36w 6 way fish tank pump that is way more powerful. It was 50 bucks and I’m willing to take a gamble on it. It seems to be my only option at the moment because I can’t just repot. Worst case scenario I can use it for brewing compost teas if it doesn’t work. I’m not sure how well this will work in a giant fabric pot but it’s worth a shot. I’ve heard of people supplementing additional air into raised garden beds with great results. I’m picking off some of the new auxiliary branches to try and widen the node spacing. Growth is definitely slow and stunted but no signs of deficiencies. I just thought of another theory on the node spacing... and the more I think about it, the more I think it’s the mystery problem. I’ve been foliar spraying with 1-1-1 VeloKelp at pretty high concentrations 2-3 times per week. I have heard in passing that kelp and seaweed can somehow reduce stretch. A quick google search reveals that Ascophyllum Nodosum Seaweed and other marine algae extracts contain large amounts of hormones and auxins that reduce plant height and stretch. *facepalm* Guess I’ll stop that for the rest of the cycle. As far as I know there is nothing I can really do but wait for the plant to use up all those excess hormones and nutes. The recent 0-0-15 seaweed extract and 1-0-3 kelp meal I bought is derived from the same kind as the velokelp. I guess I won’t use it again until week 3 or 4 in flower. Tight nodes are very useful in flower but aren’t desirable at all in when trying to scrog in veg. Especially when they’re like a half inch apart. It slows the shit out of a grow. Vietnamese and biker gangs in my area used to grow SOG style and use a synthetic PGR hormone (meant for bonsai trees) called ‘paclobutrazol’ that would make the weed rock hard dense so they wouldn’t have to pay people as much to trim it. I’ve heard that in recent years they have made the switch to using kelp extracts because paclo is getting harder find and is not meant for food crops let alone smokeable crops. I’m ashamed of it but I have smoked pounds of PGR weed long before I knew what a PGR was. 🤷‍♂️ (Day 77) One more theory. Ever since raising up the plants up onto that shelf the root zone is probably significantly warmer and the bottom of the pot (where most of the roots are) drys out way quicker. It’s possible that the warmer root zone could not be holding dissolved oxygen at the proper rate resulting in that over/underwatered look. Or it could be that I’m not watering enough at once to reach the bottom of the pot where the roots are and it’s indeed under watered. I’m going to water in a gallon when I get my new air pump and see if that makes any positive change. If I see the new air pump making a difference, I will flip on the 21st of April. If I don’t see a difference, I will carefully untangle the plants from the scrog net and remove the shelf. That extra foot should make a massive difference with ppfd and will cool down the roots significantly too. I’m thinking about grabbing a simple soil/compost thermometer to check the temp of the medium. Better safe than sorry. Rough week. Hopefully everything get smoothed out in the next little while before I flip.

🌿 Schönen Sonntag & einen entspannten 1. Advent aus der richtigen Zeitzone =) 🌱 Wochenupdate Diese Woche wurde echt viel gefummelt 😄 Im Fokus standen Canopy-Aufbau und selektives Entlauben =) Bin da wirklich pingelig und könnte das den ganzen Tag machen… echt schlimm 😅 Was ich jetzt schon sagen kann: Blueberry Cupcake hat mit Abstand den krassesten Stretch hingelegt. Purpz hat ihren Platz auch relativ gefüllt, performt echt gut und ist fast gleichauf mit BBCC. Notorious zieht auch, soll aber wohl etwas später definierter drücken. Mir gefällt ihr Wachstum richtig gut. Guzzlerz macht sich auch echt gut für ihren schlechten Start. Ihre Sides gehen mittlerweile richtig steil. Ein paar mehr Triebe wären nice gewesen, aber da lag sicher auch einiges an mir.. :D Abseits meiner Dummheiten lief alles absolut smooth. Eine tolle Veg und richtig gute Stretch-Phase bis jetzt =D🔥 🌿 Pflanzenstatus & Training Ich halte die Canopy aktuell noch flach – für zwei, drei Tage =) Anschließend steht das Verteilen auf die Meshes an. Danach dürfen sie endlich nach oben =D Die Richtungen sind grob gelegt, erste Ansätze sieht man auch schon =D Ich kann’s echt nicht erwarten… Budporn ist einfach magisch 😄🔥 Über die Tage sind immer wieder größere oder verdrehte Blätter rausgeflogen – hauptsächlich, um Luft und Licht auf möglichst viele Triebe zu bekommen 😊 Man kann wirklich ohne Bedenken ~30 % Biomasse rausnehmen, wenn die Vitalität das zulässt, ohne sichtbaren Stop im Wachstum 🌱 🌬️ Luft & Ventilation Hab jetzt noch zwei Clip-Ventis dazugezogen. I started germination of 2 Jack F1 beans on 29/12/2020. I pre moistened my rockwool cubes with ph balanced water to 6.4. Made sure the plugs were just damp and not soaked. Using a small wooden dowel I increased the size of the plugs pre made holes. Than I sowed my beans into the holes. Ripped off a small piece of rockwool and mulched it up. Lightly filled the holes in with the mulched rockwool. Than stuck the plugs into a misted humidity dome, to complete germination. Shouldn't take anymore than 4-5 days to see some sprouts. Once I see some cotlydon leaves bursting to the surface. I will get the plugs planted into some 1 gallon pots. Plus get these ladies situated into their new home. Cant wait! Just some background information on my last run with the Jack f1. It was relatively strong during veg. But was middle of the pack in size after the 6 weeks of vegetative growth. After the flower stretch she became the largest quick! With a enormous stretch rate of 300%... Yes she tripled in size. Forcing me too super crop her which she didnt like at all. Setting her back and definitely hurting her all around yeild. Despite the staggering, unexpected stretch amount. Leading to the stress inducing supercropping. She still pulled off immaculate bud structre, density, and trichome production. She just took much longer than she should have... and didnt pack on the whopper size buds I'd expect out of these genetics. Definitely learned alot out of my first go. So I'm amped for the second run with this variety. This time around I'm going to anticipate the stretch and cut veg time shorter. To roughly 4 weeks or 1 ft in height. Also utilize a bit of very light lst to their side branching to open them up a little bit. Without stressing them out... well hopefully.

Fun week! Got to transplant all the babies and i started lst on them to get some more lateral growth and better yeilds! No problems when transplanting roots looked good, you could tell that some had way more roots then others not sure if thats due to light positions or if its just genetics Its interesting because as far as general growth the Chocolate Marshmallow has was more internodal growth and branching, shorter plants but also trained very easily. As in stems where not too stiff but stiff enough that after the first trainung they pretty much stayed in place with minor adjustments needed the Double Ds on the other hand grew very tall with little to no horizontal growth and very large internodal spacing! And as far as training goes these stems where stiff and rock hard had a couple LST turn into HST or slight super cropping because i was a little too aggressive too quick! One DD had a top half snap practically all the way off but i just taped it up and lst the plant to lean into the break and it is doing just fine!

Hello, So I'm two days away from the end of my fertilization period. I'll be switching to water starting this Friday, March 20th, as you can see on the March lunar calendar. I'll harvest on the 29th. This day is excellent for harvesting, as it's a week for flowers and fruit. The days leading up to harvest, the lunar influence will enhance the flavor, aromas, and sugars. This even applies indoors. Diese Woche war uns der Wettergott nochmal hold und hat uns super Sommerwetter beschert....😎 Den beiden hat das natürlich sehr gut gefallen und sie haben sich super gemacht.😁 Der Nachzügler der beiden, ist bis auf ca.20cm an die erste Lady rangekommen und hat auch schon eine stattliche Grösse erreicht...... Die grössere der beiden wächst nicht mehr ganz so schnell, dafür sind ihre Buds auch schon viel grösser und mächtiger.😎 Freue mich schon auf den Rest der Blüte und kann die Ernte kaum noch erwarten.😜 Ich hoffe, es läuft so problemlos weiter und das Wetter bleibt stabil.😎

Endlich geerntet. Trotz einiger Mängel sind die Buds doch sehr schön fest und klebrig geworden. 90g Nass, wet trim und in Dryferm Bags verpackt. Nach ca 5 Tagen, werde ich mir die schönsten Buds heraussuchen und weiter im Dryferm Bag bis zum Curing weitertrocknen lassen. Der Rest fällt dann leider dem CanG zum Opfer und wird im Misthaufen entsorgt.
