Apollo Black Cherry

Upon first contact, a sweet scent rises, clearly reminiscent of ripe dark cherries. Behind it lie berry notes – more blackberry than strawberry – and a light sugary sweetness that almost reminds of cherry candies or syrup. When crushed, the aroma deepens: the fruit becomes "darker," accompanied by a mild, warm base note of earth and a very light spiciness. Overall, it is not a biting or sharp smell, but soft, round, and dessert-like. The smoke continues this profile surprisingly accurately. When inhaled, a sweet cherry cream note comes to the tongue, mild and full. In the mouth, the smoke feels dense but not scratchy. Upon exhaling, berry nuances emerge, accompanied by a gentle hookup of earthy warmth. The aftertaste leaves a fruity sweetness lingering for a long time, almost like cherry skin and dark berries – very pleasant and hardly bitter. The effect begins calmly and balanced. At first, a gentle, clear head feeling arises: thoughts become lighter, mood subtly lifts, and conversations flow more naturally. It is not a hectic or strongly stimulating high, but rather a friendly, warm mental loosening. Shortly after, the physical component sets in. A steady relaxation spreads from the neck over the shoulders to the back. The body becomes loose, without immediately feeling heavy. After some time, this develops into a pleasant state of rest. One remains mentally responsive but noticeably more relaxed. Activity is still possible, but there is little urge to do so. More of a "feeling good and staying put." Only later does slight fatigue set in, but without a strong couch-lock. Thus, the strain is well-suited for the evening or late wind-down, without falling asleep immediately. The flowers show a rather stocky, compact growth form with tightly standing calyxes. The surface is heavily covered with resin glands, creating an almost sugary layer. The structure appears closed and relatively solid, but not rock-hard – with light pressure, the flowers yield slightly and spring back. When broken, they tear slightly fibrous and sticky, indicating a high resin content and good residual moisture. The sugar leaves lie closely and are themselves heavily frosted, making the flower appear very "full."

Apollo Black Cherry seems to have a mutation in her. One showed a polyploid mutation and both big girls had 3 side shoots on the nodes, I mean its awesome for yield but is a bit weird and could be a issue for some. I enjoyed it though, especially the foxtailing Sweet earthy fuel and spice was the live-terpene profile on pretty much all of them. Seems pretty stable After 16 Days drying with temps set to 15 degrees and 60% was awesome. Terps seem to show nicely in the bags and jars Dried Terps after 2 weeks: Pheno 1: Earthy herbal spice hints of sweetness and cream on the back end most complex but not really something I am looking for. Pheno 2: Sweet gas spice, my absolute fav in every way. Grow structure, vigour, Foxtailing terps and taste. Its not an overpowering sweetness that translates to a berry, especially with the spicy gas, for me that's what I would expect from a Cherry Ak. love this pheno especially smelling a bag for longer. Maybe its just my mind playing games but there is a cherry Pheno 3: was the most earthy but again the sweetness is there I bet a long cure will develop a stronger sweetness. no berry on this one, just pure sweet not candy more like warm sugar before it caramelizes, she smells warm, its weird to describe maybe you have experience something like this. warm wet earth with sweetness haha Pictures will follow
