D20 Defoliation

Overall I’m very happy to end my first run like this. I think I made a pretty decent job and I can’t wait to try the finished product after curing. Happy growing everyone! 🍀🌱

Hello everyone! I promised to track this grow very closely this time and ufortunately life got in the way. Here is a quick sumup of the grow. First of all- One of the sour stomper plants unfortunately didn't make it. It died at about week 4. The main stem somehow had rubbed/broken down. That's why it was falling down. It was almost like a mini beaver had chewed it off at the point where the stem touches the riot rooter. At first I thought nothing much of it, maybe it hasn't been rooted in quite well yet or something. And I was constantly touiching it when watering, that made it worse. Soo the leaves were dropping and the plant looked very weak. Then I decided cut thr rapid rooters top layer and found out the severity of the problem. Tried to tape it up and other things, but it was too late. At the end it appeared all good as the remaing plants got so big the I had some space issue so I wouldn't have been able to fit another plant in anyway. At that time I finally made my self-draining saucers. I took me a while and a lot of effort, but finally they were ready and working well. I also installed the self watering system and flowering was starting. Pretty soon I started noticing weird leaf symtoms. Brown spots, different kind. Some plants had it more, some less. Sour Stomper looked pretty good throughout the grow. Mango smiles seemed sensitive and Strawberry Nuggs were pretty strong until the end. The grow was basically me experimenting with the setup- changing watering schedules , changing ppm, ph and all that stuff to keep the leaves looking healthy and it was very hard I have to admit. Probably my hardest grow in that regard. But somehow, the bud leaves remained healthy and the buds really fattened up good. I got away with an amzing 700G dry bud harvest which was def a new record from one grow. And the bud quality is very good too! Next time definetly no more than 4 plants as they got pretty big and I thought it was a little overcrowded. I was doing some good defoliation too. I should have defolited strawberry nugs more tho. Sour Stomper got some amazing bud development from top to bottom because it was was growing next to strawberry nuggets which were really small most of the grow. They actually took the most time to harvest even longer than Mango smile. Mango smiles were ready quite early. Sour Stomper was just in time! I topped sour stomper and both Mangoi smiles, left SNs both normal. Looking back at it, the way I grow them, Should have topped SNs too. Would probably have more space in the middle and longer side branches. Probably wouldn't have been as bushy! I followed the full Terra aquatica feed chart until the end. I was supplementing with CalMag a lot as I thought the symptoms could have been from a CalMag deficiency as this was my first grow with RO water. Overall a very challenging but good grow at the end. First time no mold problems. A record breaking yield for me. Basically surpassed the upper limit for all plant probable harvest sizes. Got good smelling quality bud. Very happy overall and will continue experimenting with Mephisto beans in the future for sure! I guess what I like the most about Mephisto is how close to description the plant is, very stable genes in that regard. Next time I will also have to start feeding plants higher PPM feed faster at the very start. and during flowering. But still not 100% sure what caused the leaf symptoms.

Added KMPS once a day to the Reservoir to reach ~450 mV ORP. Added Yara Kristalon Blue and Calcinit 1:1, no ml values, used the fertilizer to reach stated EC values. PH correction with Phosphoric Acid. Some roots are showing but hard to see on pictures due to my bad endoscopic camera. PPFD 300, DLI 19 Values are average of the day. This week has been such a gift! I have learned so much about proper care for a plant I had no idea how little I knew sitting down and observing these majestic trees produce such a potent flower has really humbled me. Premium cultivars strain has shown resilient and self sustaining easy to grow traits that it is hard to mess up. (Which I’ve done a few times lol) Notice the trichomes (I put the zoom lens on and got up in there so they could be better seen the bud itself is slathered in them ! This is going to be an amazing smoke! Also looking at the structure of the bud it’s self it has volume very full bodied bracts with pistils throughout It’s just an all-around beautiful thing to observe

Last week was very challenging, two girls got really tall below the white light, while the other two below the blurple spectrum ended up being smaller and bushier, both looking fantastic. Last week I also probably went too far defoliating the shaded smaller girl which stunned it a bit for a day or two but its flowering vigorously again. Although the unexpected stretch which led to uneven light coverage overally the platns are looking solid, smelly and sugary :)

Both plants have eaten up and completely finished and nice and ripe. And another few days. I'll harvest these pretty ladies. Again, it seems my Synthetic nutrients, isn't working just yet. But I know I'll get there. Really happy with the organic. Huge cola and side cola, not the biggest of plants, but grown very quickly and the amount of frost is nothing to scoff at. I'm very happy with the results. These are some of my 1st autos I've not topped. They do make for a much nicer shape. But, I just can't say for sure, if topping, (done right) is a better thing to do for some autos.. I'm hoping the quality and thc will be there. As there was no stress, other than the Synthetic pigment mutation that wouldn't of caused much harm to her. The buds/colas are just a 1/5 of the size. But, they are far from larfy and airy. Some pretty nice dense sticky nugs to look forward to from the Synthetic and big ass colas from the organic, best of both worlds. I done some light defoliation to make sure everything ripens up in this last push. But, looking throughout everything is past the 30% amber trichs and everything is 95%+ cloudy. Am going to leave them for the next week. I'll add pics and add another week for my harvest, and after I've tested and tried I'll give a G/W, much appreciated. Thanks for tuning in.

Fiz a primeira rega com 500 ml de água com PH correto, na 3° semana vou iniciar com a primeira rega com fertilizantes e estou pensando em fazer um Treinamento leve nela para controlar o tamanho e gerar mais ramos. Porém tenho medo de estressar a planta por ser automática e ela começar a florescer precoce, Eai o que vocês acham? Serei grato pelas dicas 🙏

She got weak last week, so i feed her now like a coco plant, water everyday untill runoff lol and she bounces back hard, budsites everywhere. I remember i mixed the soil with a good amout of coco (i think 1/3) The feeding is 900ppm and 800comes out so shes gooood

This grow was pretty simple ! They went a total of 103 days from seed! Very trichomy dense buds with the smell of Berries vanilla and skunk ! This is a must try for you all Fastbuds has the greats!!!

Amber is coming in nicely, top to bottom - starting 1 week flush! ~As one only can in *Hydroponics (& coco). It's not "bro science" it's biology 101. Today put in new light for replace the niello 300w with a mars hydro ts1000 2022 version

Gave her a haircut at the beginning of the week, buds are fattening up quick. Im seeing noticeable changes daily. Increased light on time by 3 hours to 23 hours on. Feed has changed with the addition of Cycos swell (2.5ml/L) and Supa Stiky (2ml/L) and removal of potash plus. All to aid in the development of the phattest buds possible 😁 End of Week: Noticed rust spots on some fan leaves ref grow question. Gave her a flush of PH'D water and Kleanse as it was time to anyway dialed the Bloom A + B back a little to 2ml/L. Let's see how she picks up. Just starting to notice frosting on some of the sugar leaves.

Mandarin XL auto is growing great. She is shifting more into flowering. I did a solution change on her 4 days ago. Today I lollipopped her canopy and selective defoliation in canopy. Just opening her up more so she can stretch more. Nothing more to report on at the moment. I was very surprised at the remarkable growth of both plants. Tree 1 gives me a clear view of the superiority of height compared to the previous week. The copper buds clearly show the enormous size, I am trying to increase the amount of nutrition to promote the maximum growth in size and taste.
