this should be the last week of vegetation. Flowering should be starting soon. Seems like no end to this drought we are suffering from in Southern Ontario.

Chopped her two days into week 14. What else. Buds. There are a lot of them. And they are quite large. And they look like they will require little effort to trim. What more can I wish for? I am a very happy man. Upd 1: Trimming is SO SIMPLE! Not much sticking out to begin with, because of the amazing bud structure and me plucking most bud node fans. Solid nugs which are not bothered by anything, so pulling smaller sub-bud fans is very simple too, while the buds are what I would call moist. I'll call this Moist Trim 😄 ✂️✂️✂️ Went for the best trimming tools available on the market (well at least my research concluded so) and LOVING every minute of trimming with the B-500SRF. Why would I or anyone else use something less suitable or less comfortable for such a delicate and long job is beyond me, except if you cannot afford one right now, in which case I wish you to experience it one day. Fiskars are also very good in therms of the blades, coating and cutting ability and precision, but the spring is just too stiff, like way, way to stiff for something that is to be used for hours on end. One might argue that such spring force helps overcome resin buildup, but please just rinse your instrument regularly in an appropriate solvent (ethy, iso, whatever — consider you instrument materials as well) and wipe it after. Why would you let significant amounts of resin to accumulate on such a gentle and precise tool? Kinda defeats the purpose?

May 15: later start as a replacement for my failure on Durban Poison. Have wanted to fit this one in for a while and should be an easy and reliable grow. Top tip for germination stage is get a heating mat. My house is usually about 18 C but cannabis, tomatoes and pepper all need it warmer to start properly. So, get a heating mat. i usually keep it at about 26 C. Next germination tip is to expose the newly sprouted seed to ethylene gas just before it first reaches light. This is a huge tip for all growers. Seed ‘priming’ using ethylene gas in dark before seedling is exposed to light. https://scitechdaily.com/accidental-discovery-how-a-whiff-of-an-unusual-chemical-transforms-seedlings-into-super-plants/ Seed priming works. I tried it last year on peppers, tomatoes and cannabis. 😎 This is as big a tip as my standard “get a pH meter”. Seed priming takes minimal effort (use a ripe apple or banana) and it certainly seems to pay off big time as shown by my last two seasons. I’ll be doing this every single time now.

Great week with this gals. BIG GAINS! Over 5 inches of upward growth in a week, and tons of flower. These are gonna be BIG girls! Introduced a light feeding of flora trio. 5ml of each per gallon and 5ml per gal of calimagic. Introduced some light defoliation this week as well. So far so good. I actually moved these girls from the hps to the brand new HLG Diablo 650r. Im able to fit all 10 plants in my grow under the one light, so I will save on heat and electric and give the Diablo a whirl. I expect some major swelling this coming week! Video tells all, I have some beautiful big thick buds and some pretty light stringy buds in the back left corner. I scoped the tricomes today and their looking very milky and not clear. Hope for a good transition to harvest very soon. chop here the next week and a half to two weeks. Flush will begin in a few days I hope.! Over all very healthy plants.

First, I'm just going to say I'm done with the construction of my new growroom. I put some pictures on the construction here in week one. The room is 2.14 meters by 1.7 meters and has a ceiling height of 2 meters. It provides a floor area of ​​3.6 square meters. I use a 54 Watt Lightwawe T5 for germination and 2 Pcs 400 Watt HPS lamps. I have a channel fan that replaces the room air about 40 times an hour to get a comfortable theme in the room, the air enters a fresh air intake from the outside. The air is purified through a carbon filter to then leave the room to the rest of the basement. Then I use that heat to heat the rest of the basement. This is one of those days when this feels like work. But its done and should be smooth sailing from here on out. There are 2 different sized rockwool cubes. This was an ordering mistake but I think it will be ok. Their getting fed every 6 hours for 8 minutes now. I'll watch put for flagging and change accordingly.
