Strawberry Amnesia is growing great. I did a neem oil treatment on the whole room yesterday. Another plant was having issue and the prior treatment on it seemed to help a lot. So I wanted to do everything to ensure there was no survivors, or any that can reproduce. I will likely change to flowering in a week or two. Day 44- I need to back off on the water nutes, I am forgetting the soil is strong enough. I will flush with plain water next time. Maybe I should do a plain water foliar feed? I’m still learning. But I think those B vitamins are keeping their metabolism high! Then I feel the need to spoon feed. After giving them much needed calcium, I start adding other things. Those Epsom Salts plus the amino acids on a plant with high metabolism receiving more B1, all while having lots of amended neem cake in the media, is going to be processing a sh*t load of nitrogen! Back to plain water. Another idea, maybe I will flush a little bit, and feed just CalMag. Day 48 I realized I haven’t gotten any pictures in for this week! Not that big of a mistake compared to the one I just corrected! The video is taken when they are back inside for the night as it a cold windy night, and they could use more light. I am not talking because I am sick and can’t talk to well. But it’s just quickly showing how they look after the whole ordeal I am about to mention. So I woke up this morning, and noticed all of the plants were showing subtle signs of a deficiency. Different deficiencies too! Some are going on the calcium deficiency, others potassium, some manganese even maybe a few others to be honest. Sometimes I could only see signs in the old leaves, and other times I would see signs in new leaves. Either way “most” of them were looking pretty good. But something about all this variability with different plants was oddly unsettling to me. I figured I had better stick the soil pH meter in there and make sure it’s not a pH issue. And to my horror, pH of barely 4.5!! More like 4.20! But honestly it was that low!!!! A miracle these plants haven’t locked out yet! But how did this happen? Yes it is all coming together for me. Every water I have been giving feed-water. I have been watering with a little runoff, but not enough runoff to manage what I was putting in! I’ve been “feed-watering” a lot more than usual because the pots are tiny and it’s super hot and mega dry during the days. Like 75-80 degrees (F) and 10-25% relative humidity lately. So no wonder they are drying out fast. All those salts left behind from last feed. So they built up, apparently pretty high. I didn’t think I was feeding too much, especially because I would get a descent amount to drain out the bottoms every time. Either way, I fed too heavy and flushed too little! So I brought out the foxfarm SLEDGEHAMMER!!!!! Did a quick flush, flushed with plain water to get the sledgehammer out, then a recheck on the soil pH meter. Comes out 6.8! So I gave feed-water at ph of 7 afterwords. They were dry enough before all of this, I conveniently avoided damping issues. Now they will dry out and receive plain pH 7 RO water on next watering. I still have lots of doubt as if I have any clue what I am doing! But so far so good. I try to support the microbes as much as possible, i definitely could use their support. And it might be because of the microbes, CalMag and fulvic acid, that has prevented lockout. But yeah the fact the pH in the soil was corrected with a flush, gives me a peace of mind. The other three from “The Hondo Titan” diary had high levels of sulfur to lime, the flush did not fix, so I repotted them in new soil with pH 7. Also those hydroton expanded clay pebbles become rich with acidic salts, because the water leaves and all the nutes and minerals are captured and stored with the pebbles. Good in small levels. But if the pot dries out every day, those pebbles will eventually make the pH meter smack the end suggesting less than pH of 3.5!!!!!!!! But no pebbles were used on these girls thankfully!!

Usually I start my diary after they all pop but I’m feeling lucky and especially green this round. After numerous failed attempts at getting auto seeds from various sources and not having them pop no matter what I did. I finally got in touch with THSeeds and told them that the Critical Hog auto they sent me were totally bunk and not one popped. They had Truenorth seedbank send me this bubblegum Within a week of my complaint. I’m hoping these are fresh vigorous seeds and after much touch up learning on seed popping Iv decided to go straight from the water cup to the medium which is Black Gold seedlings mix in the center 6 inches of my coco soil so to give them a easy start with no added nutes. Good week at 26.75" tall, suspect it's male or a vigorous female. 08/04/2018 38 days old hope it's old enough,to flower cause days are getting shorter!... If it's male i will cut down not looking for a new male breeder yet. Fingers crossed though🙏 it's a a girl🙏✌️ 08/04/2018 Feeding Fox farms big bloom. What a great week! We only gave them their nutrients once this week, and it seemed to be just enough for the girls. They're all fighters and are showing it every day. The greenhouse is starting to work in our favor during the day because when it was humid enough, the temperature was perfect. One of the girls, Osaka, started to grow rapidly, and we noticed that it may have been due to the fact that she was collecting the rainwater that had seeped inside the greenhouse. The rainwater had just the right pH to allow her to grow not only rapidly but beautifully. It was very unexpected at first, and now she's starting to look like our shining star. One of them, Ben, also looks like she's flowering a little, but we're not sure what to do since it's still a little early... Hoping for the best and, as always, hoping for rain!

Fast forward two weeks and they are showing ! Out of six plants only two wore males . Switch up to bloom nutrients let’s see how that goes 🤙🏽

Last week I started applying Flowermind Brazilian organic fertilizer. The girls have had good growth in the last few days. With the exception of the youngest plant, I think it could be an effect of the soil having less aeration. When I started this cultivation, the amount of material for the soil was not enough for the 4 pots so the fifth pot had slightly different components in terms of proportion, having less peat and perlite than the first ones.

So I had a little less nutrient last week then i needed. Def a calcium deficiency. I think it's clearing up but this plant has spot all over it. I changed the water, gave it the right amount of nutrients and a little exra hydrated lime for calcium. Hydro is hard. I hoping It's not sick. I hope It doesn't get the other plants sick. Just a few weeks left.

Week 12 Flower 8 Pink Rozay This week was all about checking trichomes. Pink Rozay trichomes show mostly milk and amber. There are a few heads that are dark brown that indicate too late to harvest. The older pistils are turning orange brown and water consumption is slowing down. These and the trichome indicators indicate readiness. Based on this, I put Pink Rozay in the cool garage with low light and ice on top of the pot at night this week. Day 50 - Starting off the 8th week and she’s looking good. Filling in more and more each day. Gave her the first feeding of the week today and removed a couple dying leaves. Day 51 - No water today, she still needs to dry out a bit. She’s filling in fairly nicely and looking forward to seeing how this girl will turn out in the end. Day 52 - Gave the girl a full 3/4’s of a gallon of pH’d water. She’s definitely filling in a bit more each day. Day 53 - For the most part, she’s looking pretty good but she’s definitely got a little deficiency. A few of the leaves I defoliated seem to point to a cal-mag deficiency. So I’m going to give her good flush tomorrow and up the cal-mag a bit and hope that helps. Day 54 - Flushed her with a gallon of water and foxfarm’s sledgehammer. Gonna let her dry out quite a bit and then up the cal-mag and hope this corrects her issue. Other than that she’s filling in quite nicely. Day 56 - Last day of week 8 and she’s really starting to pack on now and looking good. Letting her dry out a bit more before starting feed schedule after flushing.

This journal hasn’t been abandoned!! I had to travel for work so I haven’t been able to tend to this grow or update this journal as I intended to. I am fortunate enough to have someone interested and capable of taking care of my grow for me and they have been doing quite well at keeping things going. Pics from day 75 since germination start!
