Wish the buds would have got a little bigger but feel like that’s particularly my fault for a short Veg but overall I am blow away by the outcome for all the seeds to just be random bag seeds! 2 of the plants are drying now 3rd one will be cut tomorrow & the other 2 got probably 2 more weeks! Will do a taste & smoke report and also give a weight as soon as they dry & cure a little bit but honestly couldn’t be happier with my first grow! Thanks for all the support & help along the way & happy growing friends!🤙🏼✌️🏼🌱 Update on 1st plant - dry weight 42g, still smelled pretty Earthy when I put it in the jar but the smell is definitely coming out now, extremely sticky & frosty buds❄️: 1:🏼🙏🏼 Update - plant 2 Dry weight was 40 grams! Extremely happy with the out come this is honestly some of the best bud I have ever smoked! Amazing to me this came from a random bag seed, it has a very citrusy flavor, smells & smokes amazing! Honestly a 10/10 in my book, wish I could knew what strain this was so I could grow it again!😫❄️✌️🏼🌱 Update - plant 3 Dry weight 34g, smells & look phenomenal, the buds are much smaller & had the smallest yield so far but this is by far the best smelling so far! Will have a smoke update on this one soon, stay tuned friends & happy growing!✌️🏼🌱 Update - plant 5 dry weight was 52g it dried a little faster than plant 4 which I will probably jar tomorrow! Placing a dehumidifier or humidifier in the grow box turned out to be ineffective when both devices have their own automated settings. For instance, a humidifier set to 55% humidity works within a ±5% range, meaning it waits until the humidity drops below 50% to turn on and runs until it hits 60%. Since its sensor refreshes every 30 seconds, it might show 54% one moment and jump to 61% the next—not exactly stable at 55%. The dehumidifier behaves similarly. To achieve more consistent results, it’s better to rely on a hygrometer inside the grow box and use “dumb” devices that simply turn on when powered. Connecting these devices to smart outlets provides more precise control. For manual control, I maintained around 55% humidity by turning the humidifier and exhaust fan on and off via phone. Most moisture and aroma are released during the first three days, then taper off. The common rule of “when thin branches snap, it’s dry” led me to overdry my buds. A more reliable method is to monitor the hygrometer. When humidity stabilizes after the initial rise, wait one more day and then jar the buds. Rehydrating Overdried Buds: Overdried buds can be revived with a small piece of mandarin (or orange) peel, about 2.5x2.5 cm. Thoroughly wash the peel (even sanitize it if needed), cut a square, and place it on top of the buds in the jar. In my experience, this brought the humidity from 46% to 62% within 4 hours. Afterward, burp the jars for 15 minutes and monitor the hygrometer. If the humidity drops below 55%, return the peel for a few more hours. Once stable at 60-62%, remove the peel and continue curing, burping the jars twice daily for 15 minutes. As for humidity packs like Integra Boost or Boveda, I used them because I had some lying around. These packs are designed for 12 grams of product, so they don’t make a big difference in larger jars. If you burp jars daily and gently rotate the buds, they’re not really necessary. Trimming and Results: After 7 days of drying, I decided to trim dry this time. It turned out to be somewhat more convenient—everything gets covered in resin anyway, but the remaining leaves easily fall off, speeding up the process. I went for a tight trim, removing as much as possible. During the process, I felt disappointed seeing how little remained on the branches. The buds turned out airy and small, and I started cursing American genetics halfway through the trim. However, when it came to weighing, the results were surprisingly decent. Considering the buds' poor appearance, they’re not going to impress anyone visually, so it might have been easier to shred everything and use it for extraction. I don’t have extraction equipment, so I’ll make cannabutter from the trim, and the buds can rest in jars for now. Takeaways: Use a proper hygrometer for humidity control, not built-in sensors on humidifiers or dehumidifiers. Overdried buds can be easily rehydrated with citrus peel. Daily burping and rotation are sufficient for curing without humidity packs. Dry trimming can be faster and more convenient but may highlight issues with bud density. Despite underwhelming appearance, high resin content makes the strain great for extraction.

Week 9, Day 63, Day 19 of Flower. Once again all is going well, she is doing nicely, but smaller compared to the Purple Kush and Northern Lights. After this coming week 4 of Flower I am going to switch to only KoolBloom 2-45-28 for 2 to 3 weeks at a 1/4 tsp/gallon. Any suggestions or comments?

The plant got very little care this week as I was away for work. I installed a automated drip system 2 wewks prior and it had been working a treat...until I leave that is as I suspect after the first one or two scheduled waters the timer flipped out and reset itself🤬 I have no idea why. Eitherway the plant got no water at all for 4 days., about 1.1 litres to be precise, well under 1 days requirement . As I have a remote cam setup I could see what was going on, I could see the plant suffering from underwatering but I could do nothing about it. And as this like all my grows are stealth grows because of the kids and wife I couldn't exactly have mates drop by to do🤣 Super painful it was to watch anyhow, captured for my suffering in the video. All ended well after a feed and everything is back on track. Maybe the plant thrived from the brief period of underwatering as the growth was crazy immediately after. As far as temps were concerned this week, there were 2 hot days where internal tent temperatures would've reached 30+ and cold nights just over zero. Honestly I've given up monitoring as there's nothing I can do about the heat when growing in a tin garden shed and when cold the bar heaters easily increase the temp by close to 15c from what it is outside. Good news is the cold days out numbered the warm and helped alot especially with the lack of watering. Thank you gunja gods 🙏 A beast this thing has become! Way bigger than I hoped for, way bigger than I need but I'll accept it's offerings eitherway when the time is right.

Another great week for the Apple Betty girls. I have not seen a single deficiency, other than the odd yellowed or withered leaf under the canopy, typically due to lack of light. I will come through soon and do a defoliation of both tents to allow for more light to penetrate, and perhaps get a good push for some girthy colas 😋. I have lowered the temps a bit in the tents by controlling my lung room temps, and they are maxing out at 77 degrees and hitting a night time cool of about 70. I have also lowered the humidity to hover between 47 and 52 %. Hopefully will start to get some nice colours as they finish. As I mentioned before, when I water is when I like to get under the canopy and check the stems and leaves for anything that shouldn’t be… and typically once a week after watering I’ll wipe down the tent and sanitize any surface I can. There is no reason to get lazy, that’s how you get Pests, Mold, and PM. Happy Gardening 🇨🇦👊❤️

Beginning of week... Just trying to keep her happy till harvest.. The runoff pH keeps coming out at 6.5 pH when I'm mixing my nutes at 6.0 - 5.8 pH.. So today I watered (no nutes) at 5.6 and it came out at 6.3.. Lol.. Finally.. Took like a whole week to get it down that much.. But I guess we shall see tomorrow if it stays down. Not seeing any issues other that the heat really... Next day.. Mixed nutes at 6.0 today and the runoff came out at 6.5 again 🤷🤷🤷... Story of my life. Gonna keep trying I guess.. Can't water with too low of pH.. Mid week.. Damn pH man.. Yesterday I watered at 5.5 (on accident.. Didnt mean to bring it down that low.. But I said fuck it and went with it).. Runoff came out at 6.3.. Ok.. so maybe I'll water today at 5.8 pH and just slowly bring it back up to 6.2 or 6.3.. That range.. But today, going in at 5.8.. The runoff still came out at 6.5.. I give up.. Just gonna wing it till harvest.. The heat has also destroyed the leaves a bit.. All the top fan leaves feel like shit.. Crispy as all fuck.. Taco'd.. Ugh.. I'm pretty sure she has some light burn in all of this too.. Buds are still goin strong tho.. Hell, these colas don't even need to swell much.. I'm happy with the size of them already! This new light is just taking some time for me to dial it all in.. Right now it's at about 50% power, 12 inches above the canopy. It was running at 75%.. I'm returning my LUX meter because it's reading ALOT lower numbers than what I'm seeing on GrowWeedEasy dot com.. Gonna order the one she uses.. But damn these are gonna be some fat colas when this girlie is done.. One more week of feeding after this week and then I'm gonna pull out the FloraKleen! Can't wait to get this girl hung and start a new project! End of week.. Runoff pH is still a little screwy.. Light burn isn't TOO too bad.. But it is a little bad.. And the heat stress.. Ugh.. But I got a new LUX Meter and it should help me get things dialed in with this light.. But even after those 3 fucked up things.. She is still producing some super fat and very sweet colas.. Jeez.. Hi all 🧑‍🌾 Welcome to my 🍌💜👊 week update. Hope everyone keeping well and having a great week😁 Thank you so much for so much support on this bananas ride 🙏💜💚💜💚 Everything still going pretty well. Girls are developing and stretching like crazy. Athena currently Dec 14 90cm and main stem of Xena is not far of this height either. Unfortunately noticed first signs of calcium deficiency(my opinion) on Athena. Thankfully started feeding both girls with calmag weeks back but the dosage wasn't not enough for Athena. Started small treatment very next day on Dec 11 (see description below) I belive got my baby back on right track. Week 9 Dec 11-17 Dec 11 Watering was planned for Tuesday but due to calcium deficiency decided for a little treatment. Watered both girls with mixture of reduced content of growth nutes by 50% calmag at 1.2 ml per ltr. Reduced solution PH to 6.2 as apperently it's ideal for calcium consumption. Over period 4h I have watered Athena with 5ltr with couple runoffs. Xena 3ltr. Total of 7-10 leaves affected mainly at top colas close to the light. Dec 12-13 Purely observation and all looking well. Of course all affected leaves will progres of showing signs but good news is that growth and development booming and don't see any new leaves with symptoms. Very nice trichomes development in recent days and more and more colours. Dec 14 Second watering for this week 6.5l Increased calmag to 1.4ml per ltr and if still things will be looking well reduce to 1 or 1.2 on next feeding. Dec 15 Very nice respond on yesterday feeding. They definitely fatten over night and getting more and more frosty. Will need to remove some foliage soon as getting extremely bushy again. Dec 17 Xenas main stem top cola almost touched the light today. Tied her to left side of the cabinet, applied selective defoliation on both girls, tied few branches to netting and on the end of this busy day a third watering for this week. 7 ltrs beetwen both. Runoffs Xena PH6.4 Athena 6.3. Very nice week have to say. I belive that calcium deficiency on Athena is no longer a case here and both girls developing very nicely. She is healthy in her 4th week and after her first defoliation. she grew an inch. i also topped her on the two different tops {as i said last week she topped herself bout the 2nd week) i am going to put a photo of this week you can clearly see the split. i also increased the light intensity a bit too between 600-700 ppfd or 44000 lux roughly wanna see what happens pushing the ppfd a bit.

Wow I say they are 13 foot tall some dank dank going on this year 🐜 killed one it was died and I pulled it up shit load ants stated coming out it was crazy but got cut for indoor this year and bad needing weed pulling going on crazy how sweet there smelling

These girls seem to love abuse.. on a side note, one plant is throwing dense little nugs on fan leaves (video). Loving the smell in the tent😁
