I ordered a new bigger setup as you can see. Switched from LED to HPS. Although it has a significant heat output diff, I can tell the plants love it. I also noticed I developed some fungus nats in the soil of the smaller plants. I finally got a soil meter to help me know more exactly when go water which should rid the fungus nats if I'm not over watering. Lastly, I'm going to scrog this week. I know I'm doing it rather late but it's a learning experience and I'll start sooner next time. Will be a lot of weaving. And I'm still deciding if I should cut everything else below the screen.

Man, What a smell. smells like actual lemons. especially when shes touched. if i just lightly brush my hand across it as im feeding it my hand smells as if i poured lemon juice on it. has kinda of a fruity smell to, a smell that kind of reminds me of a grape or something. reminds me of Blackwater Kush, only with more like lemon with a touch of Blackwater Kush in it.

now that the plant has fully recovered it is growing nicely, i will leave it for min. 2 more weeks before I flip to flower. I have decreased light intensity to encourage some stretch.

This week has been all about new beginnings and meticulous care, as we continue to nurture these beauties towards their full potential. Let’s dive in! New Home, Sweet Home This week, our P.C.R.s made the big move to their new 3x3 tent, and boy, do they love it! Under the bright and consistent light of the ViparSpectra P2000, these plants are set to thrive. The P2000 is a game-changer, offering a full spectrum that mimics natural sunlight, ensuring our plants get the best light for every stage of their growth. It’s like bringing a slice of the sun indoors! Leaf Love and Clones We also took some leaves and cuts this week to encourage bushier growth and to propagate new plants. Each cut was carefully treated with Clonex Gel, a rooting hormone that gives our clones the best start. Think of it as a nutrient-packed smoothie for our cuttings, providing all they need to develop strong, healthy roots. To keep our new clones happy and hydrated, we used Clonex Mist, which is like a gentle rain shower, supplying essential nutrients and promoting robust root development. It’s all about giving them the TLC they need to become the next generation of thriving plants. TLC and Maintenance With the move, I made sure to maintain the optimal environment inside the tent. Our TDS is holding steady at 410, with a pH of 5.8 and a temperature of 21°C for watering. These parameters are crucial for nutrient uptake and overall plant health, ensuring our P.C.R.s have everything they need to flourish. Week 3 of flower and the garden is looking great! I'm living for the aroma that fills my entire apartment each time I unzip the tent. The pre-flower stretch is pretty much over at this point. Maybe a few more days left. Mimosa EVO stretched the most after the 12/12 switch, followed closely by the Glookies. American Pie #1 remained relatively short compared to American Pie #2, and the other 2 cultivars. With that said, the canopy isn't as even across the top as I would like. I can't really complain too much though because there are so many colas. Did a light defoliation in addition to lollipopping. My LST job is looking pretty good. My next grow I should have my technique more zeroed in, with an even canopy across the board. Onto week #4! I'll see you all there. 🙏

Mar 20, - These plants are putting on a show, about how to fill a Bud. The Maui Wowie are stuffing the buds into hard little nuggets. First-time I have seen true Nuggets indoors. Week 9 is going to be fun. - White Pistils have begun to turn Brown/Amber and are getting “crinkly”. - not to mention sticky as hell - final Flower meal (Sunday) posted above = 8L - TDS = 1125ppm for the final feeding. Mar 22nd - some fresh air for a few Pictures in Daylight and a thorough Flushing; 15 gal pot w/ 2 plants and it took 35 gallons of prepared h20 to get the TDS below 130ppm - Drip-dry in the Sun for a couple of hours then back inside before any insects find us. Early spring warmth here in southern Ontario. Mar 24 - it’s an amazing plant with the canopy looking like it’s full of Buttons. But in reality each of these buds are getting Longer every day, all at the same time. Harvest will be a real Surprise. I’ve not been poking around too much, these girls have simply run their course without needing any Help ! Great work Beaver Seeds!!! When the time comes, I look forward to seeing what an Outdoor one produces. And how the plants would look without 1 aggressive LST session. - Trichome-check tonight = large number of cloudy, with very few Amber. Still some clear with ~ 70% cloudy 26th, - A gallon of Molasses / Rezin / H20 tonight to keep the juices flowing. Plant rotation etc. Day 5 since flush. Fluff the plants and arrange for Max exposure for the final couple of weeks. No A/C in the small tent, humidity is just over 50%. Air is being kept moving

Alright all, it's been awhile since I've been able to update so I have a couple weeks to catch up on. Unfortunately my cheap phone was having issues last week and I had to do a deep clean and got rid of some photos, photos I though I'd uploaded to my drive that I actually hadn't. I seriously could have kicked myself. But thankfully I at least have a video instead of nothing. So on August 1st I got some spent hardwood substrate blocks from a mushroom farmer down the road. I crumbled the blocks around the base of each plant and watered them in. The purpose of putting the blocks down is that they still have live mycelium in them, and the mycelium creates a symbiotic relationship with the cannabis plant and it's root structure. The cannabis roots can only take up so much surface area, but the mycelium can take up the space the roots do not and form a network where in exchange for sugars the mycelium will provide nutrients for the cannabis plants. Also, watering with the molasses gives the mycelium the sugars it wants. I'm sorry I don't have more pictures, I wasn't even thinking when I was cleaning up my phone because I was so frustrated with it (there's a reason LG stopped making phones recently). It's just been wayyyyyyyy more busy than I expected or wanted it to and I've had hardly any time in the garden. It's all this rain! Last year I was complaining about how there wasn't enough rain, now this year there's plenty of it. When I'm not doing Garden stuff I'm working part time with my husband doing landscaping and tree work, which includes mowing lawns. Last year with the drought we were mowing lawns maybe every 2 weeks. This year it's every 4-5 days. It's crazy.

27/02/19 - Cant wait for these to be done as I’ve never had gelato before so I feel like I’m missing out 😂 but yeah other than I let them stretch abit taller than I usually prefer it’s all going well, new genetics/nutrients/medium seem to be doing the job. 02/03/19 - Just transplanted all into their final pot, just in time I think as it looked like the roots were starting to circle at the bottoms of the pot, sprinkled half a tea spoon of Mykos on each hole prior to the transplant & fed them 2.5 litres each. I was going to saturate the whole pot but I’ll do that next feeding.

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil.
