Flowering Week 24: Autumn Whispers & Yellow Leaf Mysteries Update: 28.08.2025 | Day 171 What’s good, Growmies? Hope your own gardens are treating you right as summer starts to fade. Temps are dipping to around 20°C here, and the ladies are feeling the shift. Didn’t do much this week – sometimes less is more. Noticed a few things, though: Zero pests – and I mean clean – but up on Blueberry’s top budsites, some yellow leaves are showin'. Doesn’t look like nitrogen – more like iron maybe? Wondering if the Bokashi juice dropped the pH a bit too hard. Thought about breakin' out the mineral nutes (Terra Aquatica TriPart flashed through my mind), but nah… I’m stickin' to the organic path. What do you guys think? Durban Poison Buds are bulkin' up nice – fattenin' by the day. Purple pistils poppin’ on every cola. Looks killer. Deeper inside the canopy, some lower yellow leaves (classic nitrogen fade), but nothin' to stress over. She’s healthy where it counts. Blueberry Still stretchin' – slowly but surely. More pistils showin' now, and yeah, those calyxes are takin' on a sweet purple hue. Smell’s still light – neighbors are safe… for now. Next Steps - Keep an eye on that iron-like yellowing – act if it spreads - Stay vigilant for pests tryna hide in new buds - Keep pickin' off old leaves – mold prevention is key - Maybe one more light defoliation on Durban – open her up just a touch more That’s all for this week, folks. Day 02 - Tuesday - 09/23/25 - Total Days: 163 ----------------------------------- Daily Averages ~[+01:00] - Temps: 86.0°F [30.0°C] - Humidity: 78.4% - VPD: 0.92 kPa - Soil %: [49, 41, 34, 53, 43, 40, 43, 45] ----------------------------------- - [13:03]: Time to start prepping for my first attempt at tissue culture! --- Ordered and received the AC Infinity PH Meter PRO [AC-PHM7] --- Since this is a brand new unit, the probe sensor needs to be cleaned and conditioned for calibration. --- For proper storage and conditioning, the meter includes a bottle of KCL (Potassium Chloride) storage solution. --- For a basic 2-point calibration, the pH meter also includes 7.00 pH [Mid] and 4.00 pH [Low] calibration solution. --- The pen does support a 3-point calibration, but does not include the 10.1 pH [High] calibration solution. For growing, the pH should never get that high anyways. The ideal averages are all below 7.00 pH [Mid to Low Points]. --- The meter also includes solutions for conductivity calibration, but don’t need these for tissue culture. --- Okay let's go! - [13:09]: Took the cap off of the unit and examined the new sensor probe. --- There was a tiny bit of condensation and a micro drops of the KCL storage solution in the cap. --- The glass sensor was clean, but the seal for the cap had a bit of mineral build-up. This is apparently normal for new meters. --- Swirled the probe in distilled water for a bit making sure to fully saturate the sensor and to rinse off the old KCL solution. --- Wiped the mineral deposits off with a clean paper towel. Made sure to be gentle around the glass probe and tried not to touch it much. --- Also cleaned and rinsed the cap with distilled water and dried with a paper towel. - [13:16]: Opened and poured about 3/4 of the KCL solution into the cap. --- Placed and probe cap back on making sure the sensor is fully soaking in the storage solution. --- Done! - [13:19]: The unit should be ready for a first-time calibration after a 30-minute soak, but going to be soaking for a lot longer. --- The probe needs to stay stored in this KCL solution and will top off with more as needed. --- Plan to calibrate the meter right before checking and adjusting the pH for the establishment media. --- Compared to my last pH meter (cheap Amazon pen), this one is a huge upgrade in both accuracy and complexity. --- Will need to do a bit of research on how to calibrate and use this meter properly. - [16:36]: Evening check on the 3x3 veg tent. --- With the recent TKO disaster in the main tent, glad that everything is looking healthy in the veg garden! --- All mothers (including TKO) are looking green and getting bigger! --- Now that the watering system is working again, the Heady OG mother is looking a lot better and she is starting to perk up. Wow oh wow 🤩 to start I’ll say I’ve been very careful watching the feeds timing them almost perfectly! Also was a struggling week with humidity! Lucky I have my tricks to keep it down (no dehumidifier) 😊 I use air control 😉 (in the house) air control in the tent is perfect or next to perfect anyway! The aromas are continuously getting stronger and I am in for a treat! This time is my best time! It just shows! But every next time is my best time as I only get better at this!

So they’re still stretching, I thought they were slowing down a couple days ago, but then I walked in today and realised shit, they’re still going, must have grown another 3 inches since yesterday. They have almost filled out the whole 6x4ft space, a little space by the door and in the corners, the floor is looking well shaded which I am happy about, as that means I am not wasting too many photons. I have an maybe another 10/15cm of spare vertical capacity before I’m going to have to start some emergency super-cropping. Starting to get a little anxious I still haven’t changed out the reservoir from 16 days ago, although my top ups have been the same composition as noted above. I think I will drain her out tomorrow which has a drastically lower ratio of nitrogen. I have to say, this Botanicare range is incredibly stable and forgiving once you get past mid veg. As for the genetics, she knows how to grow without little fuss. Maybe I have been very lucky, time will tell once I finish my next grow with a different strain. A big hello to all the cannabis growing gardeners...and all the other visitors that came across my grow journal. This week was very relaxing, i add only PH+ (again ;), Calmag and PowerZyme. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now cannabis smell is overpowering in my grow room I can finally write something about Spider Farmers 6-Inch Inline Fan with Smart Controller and Carbon Filter :) As my grow room gets really stinky at times i always invest in a top shelf carbon filter almost twice the size of the one provided by Spider Farmer, to my shock Spider Farmer carbon filter absorbs the smells wonderfully well. Outside all the time Day 64: looking good and watered again, it's really warm outside during the day 🌞I let the soil dry out completely. Watered with rain water and 2 ml/l Powerzyme, 2 ml/l Bloom Complex, 1 ml/l Cal Mag and 1 ml/l Green Sensation. This week was good plant looks better add root farm bloom 10 ml....what went wrong well making video I snapped a branch off 🤔...tryed honey to try and root it seen on YouTube some guy did it so I tryed need to get clone x or something like that any ideas???

The Bruce Banner showed a nutrient deficiency (potassium) this week. I have just learned that organic fertilizer should always be applied at 100% of the recommended rate and not at 50% as I did in the first few weeks. However, it doesn't look too bad yet and I have now increased the fertilization. Next I discovered 2-3 small pollen sacks on S.A.D. #3 & #4... I don't know why both plants were slightly twittering but I simply removed these bananas :-) We will see!

It has been another slow week for growth. I've been working to optimize the environment. This is my first indoor grow in Europe during winter and with this equipment. There are a lot of variables that I have to figure out. I've added an oil heater on a temperature controller and have been gradually raising temps over the last few days. I also think I underestimated how much moisture my soil mix retains and maybe I've had humidity in the tent a bit too high. Both seedlings look a bit waterlogged. To try and fix this I'll keep RH at 50% for the next few days and let the soil get properly dry before watering again. Hopefully this gets things back on track and there's some strong growth this week! 💪

One more week completed, transplanted on the last day of week to a 7l..

Day 1 - watering and defoliation of both plants. MC1 needed a trim badly to expose the nodes. Mc2 much larger nodes naturally..light we defoliation

added trellis netting this week to start SCROG. two layers close to eachother so I don't have to wait for entire square of growth to tuck under higher growth to keep flat even canopy. also minimizes my need for zip tie and garden ties needinf adjustment. I'm happy with veg growth thus far, and once the screen fills up with more green in a week or two these two ladies will both be ready to flip to flower. waiting on lower nodes to develop a bit more and get best use I can from a big(ish) 315 w LEC light. the girls are getting foliar every 3 or 4 days. using heavy 16 foliar only at the moment but will follow their foliar mix as grow progresses. smell has gotten much heavier, especially in nemo, the more blueberry pheno of the two, looking at the fan leafs I think V is more haze pheno with super thin sativa leaf structure.

Entering the final stage of this run.. in other words, late flowering. Just giving 1600ml of RO water enriched with Ca and Mg. Guess I will feed a last time with Enhancer and Green Power tomorrow.
