Wow what a week this has been, the plants have all undergone fair dramatic changes. A real flurry of leaf yellowing, pistil darkening/curling, and bug swelling. The smell is really coming along now, I think we're really quite close to harvest. On the assumption that pre-flowering was two weeks, this strain should be ready at the end of week seven flowering, so in the case of this diary the end of week nine (i.e. one week to go!). Pistils are about 70-80% amber, and the lower pistils on buds have started curling inward. Trichomes look to me to be something like 10% clear 80% Milky 10% White. I have smoke tested a small bud off the lower part of plant 3 today after quick-drying overnight in the airing cupboard, taking into consideration the obvious chlorophyll from the fast dry, the high was much closer to what I am expecting than the last smoke test. It came on at the normal pace, was quite effective, and lasted a good while. I am really hoping I can navigate my way through the next process, as I feel quite close now to having some home grown bud for the first time. The plants are being well watered this evening with just water, and this will be the last time that I water them until harvest. I will continue to monitor these daily, I intend to harvest at the first sign of any amber trichome. Advice and comments welcomed. P.S. Exciting news! My order from Green House Seeds arrived today for my next diaries! :)

Passion Fruitz by Zamnesia Week 5 | The Lone Survivor Begins Her Journey Welcome back to another chapter of the 8Ɨ8 Adventure! Every diary in this project tells a different story, and today’s update belongs to one of the most unique plants in the room. Meet Passion Fruitz. The only survivor from her seed pack. Sometimes growing reminds us that nature doesn’t always follow our plans. Not every seed germinates, not every seedling makes it through the first few days, and sometimes a single plant ends up carrying the hopes of an entire variety. Fortunately… She chose to fight. And she’s proving that determination can be every bit as important as speed. āø» 🌱 The Journey So Far For anyone joining this diary for the first time, welcome! This entire project is being grown using the 12/12 From Seed method. Instead of giving the plants an extended vegetative period before flowering, every seed has remained under a constant 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness since germination. The objective is simple: Allow every phenotype to reveal its natural growth pattern while comparing how different genetics respond under identical environmental conditions. Every plant receives the same room… The same lighting… The same climate… The same care. Yet every single one develops its own personality. Passion Fruitz is certainly doing exactly that. āø» 🌿 Small in Size… Big in Character Compared to some of the larger ladies sharing the room, Passion Fruitz is definitely taking a slower approach. At around 25 cm tall, she’s currently one of the most compact plants in the entire project. She’s a few days behind some of the other genetics, but that’s perfectly normal. Every cultivar develops at its own pace, and this one has clearly decided that patience is part of her strategy. Rather than stretching aggressively, she’s building herself from the inside out. Short internodes. Dense branching. Compact growth. Everything about her suggests she’s focusing on creating a strong foundation before making her move. Sometimes the slow starters become the biggest surprises later on. āø» šŸƒ Beautiful, Healthy Growth One thing that immediately stands out is the quality of her foliage. Her leaves are absolutely beautiful. Rich green colour. Excellent turgor. Compact node spacing. Healthy new growth continues to emerge from every growing tip, giving the plant a very balanced appearance despite her smaller stature. Looking closely at the newest growth, it’s easy to see she’s gathering momentum. She’s quietly preparing for the next chapter. āø» šŸ’§ Feeding for Steady Progress Although she’s smaller than many of her neighbours, her feeding strategy follows the same philosophy used throughout this project. The nutrient solution has been carefully balanced to support healthy root development while providing everything needed for vigorous vegetative growth. Current feeding includes: • Terra Grow • Power Roots • Pure Zym • Sugar Royal • pH adjustment for optimal nutrient uptake Rather than pushing rapid growth, the goal is consistency. Healthy roots always build healthy plants. āø» šŸŒ”ļø The Environment Behind the Growth Like every plant in this room, Passion Fruitz benefits from a carefully controlled environment. Current conditions include: • Day temperature: 31.1°C • Night temperature: 25°C • Relative humidity: 67.7% • Solution temperature: 25°C • Root zone: 21°C • COā‚‚ concentration: 636 ppm Maintaining stable environmental conditions allows genetics—not environmental stress—to dictate how each phenotype develops. That makes comparisons between plants much more meaningful. āø» šŸ“· This Week’s Gallery This week’s photographs document every stage of her development. Studio portraits highlight her compact structure and beautifully symmetrical canopy. Close-up images reveal healthy new growth emerging from every node, while overhead shots showcase how dense and balanced the plant has become. I’ve also included updates from the grow room itself so everyone following this adventure can continue seeing not only the individual plants, but also the environment they’re growing in. Even though she’s currently one of the smallest ladies in the room, she certainly doesn’t lack personality. āø» šŸ”® Looking Ahead I’m genuinely excited to see how Passion Fruitz develops over the next few weeks. I have a feeling she’s simply operating on her own schedule. As her roots continue expanding and the plant settles completely into the container, I expect her growth rate to increase significantly. Sometimes the most rewarding plants are the ones that ask us to be patient. I’m not judging her by where she is today. I’m looking forward to discovering where she’ll be a month from now. And something tells me she still has a few surprises waiting for us. āø» šŸ’š Thank You Thank you so much for following another chapter of this 8Ɨ8 Adventure. Every diary tells a unique story, and that’s exactly what makes this project so rewarding to document. A huge thank you to: šŸ’š GrowDiaries for providing a fantastic platform where growers from around the world can share knowledge, learn together, and celebrate the journey. Zamnesia for providing the genetics that make this phenotype hunt possible. 🌱 Plagron for supplying the nutrition supporting every stage of growth. šŸ’” Future of Grow LED for delivering the light powering this entire project. 🌿 TrolMaster for helping maintain a stable, carefully controlled environment day after day. And finally, thank you to everyone following these diaries, leaving comments, sharing advice, and joining me throughout this adventure. Whether a plant becomes the biggest in the room or the smallest survivor fighting her own battle, every one deserves her own story. Growers Love and Passion Fruitz has only just begun writing hers.

Well she is the star of the tent. Her purple colour is amazing, her sickly sweet smell is amazing. She has not given me any problems at all during this grow. Maybe a week left and I cant wait.

Week 11 Day 71 (15/03/2021): No time to take pics today āœŒļø Day 72 (16/03/2021): Looking good but more and more leaves are drying up or turning yellow. But at this point there is definitely no point in stressing the girls by removing them. Although the colours definitely look nice! Day 73 (17/03/2021)šŸ’§: Today will be the last watering for the girls so they have a few days to take up the last bits of moisture before harvest. I can’t believe how fast this grow went but I have definitely learned a lot from it. Day 74 (18/03/2021): They look so nice and colourful, definitely an interesting bunch of girls :D Can’t wait for the harvest and cure Day 75 (19/03/2021): No time to take pics today āœŒļø Day 76 (20/03/2021): No time to take pics today but harvest day tomorrow!!!! Day 77 (21/03/2021): HARVEST DAY! What a great journey it has been growing these girls. They were so resilient and only started showing symptoms of deficiency in the last few weeks. They are absolutely covered in trichomes and smell very pungent. I think they will be super hard hitters! And it still amazes me how different they all are. Echo is even completely purple! Can’t wait to trim and dry these girls and will definitely make some bubble hash from all the trichomes on the leaves too 🤤 Will follow up with a review soon! (after they’ve cured for a bit)

DAY 62 1 day early of start of new week, just waiting for some more ambers, nearly readyšŸŽ‰ Still running RO only, 40 PPM. Still keeping it pH’d, it likes to drop slowly still. However, I don’t get why pH is important during flush tho. Not like I need to keep nutrients available for plant to suck up... šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø I’ve been considering drilling some holes into the base of the main stem as to simulate the stalk-splitting technique. Maybe it’ll help speed things up... I’ll check trichs again tonight when lights kick on and make an executive decision and post updated pictures if it’s a go ahead. Day 63 I split me some stalks! Uploaded a video of the procedure. Day 64 This phenotype is developing purple leaves? Photos uploaded. Day 65 Harvesting... Day 66 More Harvesting... Day 67 Taking clones, moving veg plants to bloom tent. This grow is drying.
