WEEK 8; all plants healthy and bug free buds are beginning to form . temp is at a perfect 78 degrees no complaints or concerns i'm sure this crop will last me till next year i'm hoping week 9 should show a big improvement in buds forming

This week has seen a lot of bushing out. The Banana Kush has certainly found its legs and taken to flower like. Duck to water. Each day tucking leaves under the net but starting to see bud sites slowly forming.

GORILLA PUNCH - 420 fast buds - week 9 Starting to come along nicely now , has massive frosted nuggets that are dense as you like. Loves the nutrients and smells absolutely amazing. Earth gassy and almost skunkish smell. DRSHOTZUK

Week 8 (17-3 to 23-3) 17-3 Temps: 17.4 to 21.9 degrees Humidity: 60% to 72% 18-3 Temps: 17.5 to 22.2 degrees Humidity: 54% to 65% 19-3 Temps: 17.9 to 22.4 degrees Humidity: 52% to 61% Watering: Both 500 ml. EC: 0.4 Watering: Both 1000 ml. EC: 1.4 Defoliated both plants and attached some shoots to the rack. 20-3 Temps: 18.2 to 22.8 degrees Humidity: 59% to 69% 21-3 Temps: 18.5 to 23.4 degrees Humidity: 57% to 67% Watering: Both 1000 ml. 22-3 Temps: 19.4 to 24.1 degrees Humidity: 55% to 67% Watering: Both 1000 ml. Set the strength of the light to 50% 23-3 Temps: 19.8 to 24.8 degrees Humidity: 58% to 67% Watering: Both 1000 ml. As you can see, instead of removing the leaves, i tucked down all the leaves to open up the canopy. I will see if i like this method as its the first time i try this. I also attached some more shoots to the rack, its looking nicely spread out now :)

Day 28 - Found some early nute burn on the lower leaves of Gelato, I think i'm fertigating too little and the salts in the coco is rising. From now I'm going to give 2L of water two times per day in order to re-clean the medium with much more run off.

Week 9 is here and we are looking at harvesting! After checking the trichomes of just the top colas, I decided this week I was going to harvest. I am updating this post after I have dried and harvested the plant so do not have much more details. I flushed the plant this week with Flora Kleen along with terpinator and microbes. I cut down the plants and hung them up in the tent to dry using a clothes hanger with clips I got off of Amazon. It took 10 days to dry the bud and my temps and humidity would fluctuate throughout the day and night. I stayed in the mid to low 70s for temperature and humidity was at 50% at first. Then I added a humidifier and had it dry in 60% humidity. Will update the rest in the harvest update.

Greetings from Russia my comrades! Thanks to all those who read me and support. I'm free, and that means that everything is fine and my little farm continues to grow. You know that I decided to grow for experiments parent plant and made him a bunk pot with his hands from a plastic Cup and bottle. Next, I plan to put it in a huge 90 liter construction tank. I want it to be a real tree! After I put a Cup with a plant in a bottle of 5 liters, it adapted and took root. After that, I gave her root stimulants and a working solution. She has derailed many new powerful roots and significantly has increased in growth. I removed five pairs of vegetative leaves from the Central stem, so that they do not block the light to the side branches. The plant is very cheerful, develops steadily.

Day 28 to 35 26C 65%RH 32DLI Girls going crazy, cant say much, just did some defol of old leaves, LST with topping on day 29 they got Vita Race spray started doing dipping of pots into water 2-3 times a week so they dont dry out on outside so quickly (big problem of textile pots) Will post more videos on day 34

She seems to be budding nicely. However in the past few days all her lower leaves are turning yellow. I know this plant is a heavy feeder and I thought I was feeding enough. She is not growing anymore, but she looks like she has a nitrogen deficiency. I do use the same water which has a low 6 ph. Today I gave her water with a 7.0 ph. Just to get her out the constant ph zone she has been in. 9/17 fed 15 MLS of foxfarm Tiger Bloom 9/19 fed 15 MLS of Tiger Bloom. 9/21 fed 4 tablespoons Foxfarm Big Bloom, 1/2 Teaspoon Foxfarm Beasti Bloom and 12 MLS of Foxfarm Grow Big. Per 2 gallons. Day 98 She has a lot of yellow lower leaves. So I hit her up with a little grow big. From what I read, she still needs some nitrogen. Lower leaves turning yellow. Think it's a little too early for that. She is a big eater and it looks like she has not been getting enough base nutrients. Her pot is very heavy, so now I'm going to hold back water until she drys a little. Getting cold out at night. Every morning I go out and she was drenched in dew. This plant I'm counting on giving me bud until at least spring. So now I have been sneaking her in the garage at night with 47 percent humidity. She seems to be very happy about this. Right now 9 pm 60 degrees, humidity 71. Humidity is way too high for her to be sitting outside. Her buds are fattening up. Some time last week I gave her a feeding of just Foxfarm Beasti Bloom. Beasti has no nitrogen and she was not happy about that. A lot of lower leaves turned yellow. So I gave her Foxfarm Tiger Bloom and that seemed to make her happy again. Will not make that mistake again.

Little defoliation

Chopped her tonight and will update diary as and when I can. She smells sweet and fruity. Been curing for a bit now. She smells amazing and tastes just as nice. Got 18g dry weight.

There is a remarkable resin production in this genetics that we liked a lot for its smell and structure of plants. This week I decided to introduce nutrition. I am new to this so i went for organic (from what I've read) bio bizz and is also readily available at my local grow shop thankfully haha my first run so I halved the recommended amounts more or less as I didn't was to burn the plants as they are still young.

Quick recap — seed to now (for anyone joining late) • 🌱 12/12 from seed • LSD genetics showing consistency and vigor • Early structure set without aggressive training • Environment prioritized over chasing charts • Feed increased gradually, never pushed • Plants transitioned naturally into flower • Defoliation timed after structure was established, not before This is calm, intentional growing. No panic moves. Why we changed nothing (and why that’s not doing nothing) Your room conditions: • 🌡️ Day temp: ~28 °C • 💧 RH: ~65% • ⚡ EC: 2.4 • pH: 6.5 • 📏 Height: ~40–80 cm • 💡 LED lighting On paper, some growers would panic at 28 °C in flower. But here’s the key difference between growing by numbers and growing by understanding: Under LED, leaf temperature ≠ room temperature. LEDs don’t radiate infrared heat like HPS. So while the wall sensor says 28 °C, the leaf surface is usually 2–4 °C cooler. And the plant does not “feel” the room — it feels its own leaf temperature. That’s where leaf VPD comes in. ⸻ Leaf VPD — the part most people skip VPD (Vapor Pressure Deficit) is simply the difference between how much moisture the air can hold and how much it actually holds. But here’s the nuance most charts miss: • Room VPD is calculated with room temp • Leaf VPD is calculated with leaf temp So if: • Room = 28 °C • Leaf = ~24–26 °C • RH = 65% 👉 our leaf VPD lands right in the comfort zone for early–mid flower. And the plants are confirming that with their behavior: • Deep, relaxed green • No tacoing, no praying too hard • Internodes strong and structured • Uniform nutrient uptake across phenotypes That’s the real data. We’re not ignoring numbers We’re letting the plant be the final authority. Stability here beats “fixing” something that isn’t broken. ⸻ Defoliation — why this time was heavier Let’s be very clear: This was not aesthetic defoliation. This was functional defoliation. Context matters: • 🏠 8×8 room • 🌱 ~27 plants • 🌬️ Airflow, light penetration, humidity pockets all scale differently Sometimes a single plant wouldn’t “ask” for leaves to be removed — but the room does. Why you defoliated: • Improve airflow through a dense canopy • Reduce micro-humidity pockets • Allow photons to travel deeper, not just hit the roof • Reset apical dominance and refocus energy on flowering sites Yes — i went harder than originally planned. But: • Genetics are strong • Plants are healthy • Root zone is dialed • Feed is stable Healthy plants recover fast. Stressed plants don’t. These girls are the first category. And importantly: we didn’t stack stress. No feed change. No environment change. No light shock. That’s how we “go hard” safely. What to expect next week (and what not to expect) Expect: • Slight pause as plants redirect energy • Fresh flower site definition • Upright posture returning after defoliation • Strong tops responding to improved light access Do NOT expect: • Explosive vertical stretch (that window is closing) • Deficiency symptoms (unless something external changes) • Need for immediate correction Next week is observation week again. Day: ~25C T. Night: ~21.5C Humidity: ~57% T.leaf: 24.5C Week progress. Two slow plants are still lagging behind, the video shows what a variety of phenotypes, it is very difficult to grow. I plan to harvest in a week, afraid that if I'll do not cut then buds will start to turn yellow. I probably won't keep the two lagging plants longer because the box is needed for drying. The smell is similar to sweet strawberries.
