Week 9 (November 4-10) Day 57 Watered ~1750ml. Data sheet suggests we have two weeks left but I haven't noticed any milky trichomes yet. I removed two smallest branches with tiny flowers that were really underdeveloped in hopes she will spend this energy somewhere else.😭 Day 58 I wish I could bring all the buds to the same height but mistakes were made and some of them will never properly grow. The ones at the top look great. I think the plants look as healthy and happy as they could be in a 40x40 tent 😎 Day 59 Removed a few more leaves and one more tiny hidden branch. 💀 Buds keep growing. Day 60 Can't really see much happening. Day 61 Watering ~1800ml. Removed a few more leaves and one more tiny flower. Checked trichomes under the microscope. It seems they just begin turning milky with most of them still being transparent. Slightly increased nutrients. I'm trying to figure out where to dry her when time comes 🙀 Day 62 They both look good, so far no deficiencies spotted 😻 No hassle today, nothing gets cut. I'm looking for a social club for anonymous growers with plants under 30cm, where we could share our problems and look for understanding. Size doesn't matter, guys! 👺😽 Day 63 Lower buds pistils are still all white... so far no signs of amber heads. Flowers seem to be growing. Removed some more fan leaves and tried to slightly reposition a couple of branches that were getting too close to each other.

I guess I first have to extend a big thank you to James and the folks at RQS. The genetics of their “Northern Light” did not disappoint and this was a no fuss grow across all categories. This will be the only time you hear me refer to Northern Lights in the singular. It’s kinda like calling a “pickerel” a “walleye” - you just don’t do that up here😉. She took well to training, showed no signs of lockout or deficiency, and we were at the top limits of botanicare’s recommended feeding schedule the whole time. I’d call this typical NL - the scent wasn’t overly powerful, she grew somewhat squat and while I’m actually very surprised at the final weigh (thought it would be much less), the whole grow was typical of the strain in my experience. Possibly her biggest limiting factor was simply space constraints. The photos pretty obviously demonstrate that she got really crowded out by the neighbouring kush and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if she’d have done a little better with some more room. That said, what isn’t “typical” are the effects. RQS touts this as a cup winner and I can see why. Had the opportunity to sample a little and WHOA! She Hits with a lasting, cerebral and euphoric effect that starts as a light, happy high. Not a crippling or dulling effect at all. Just everything you’d expect from a well rounded strain in general. Perfect. I almost wanna describe it as a classic sativa but I’ve been smoking nothing but a pure indica for so many months now that anything different is gonna feel that way 😂. This plant seems to have grown much denser and better than my first plant. I just got the ac infinity ventilation setup with controller 69 for my 2x2, still trying to learn, hopefully grow #3 goes even better. Stay tuned

D85. At the start of week seven of flower, the girls are just humming along. I gave each girl 2.5 liters of water @ pH 6.6. ------------------------------ D87. I brewed a compost tea with worm castings, kelp meal, neem meal, rock dust, biochar, and molasses and gave each girl 2.5 liters @ pH 6.3. ------------------------------ D89. Each girl got 2.5 liters of water @ pH 6.3 with Bokashi Juice. ------------------------------ D91. We're at the end of the seventh week of flower, and things are uneventful in the tent. I still can't find any thrips when I scout, so that's good. Yesterday, each girl got 1.25 liters of water @ pH 6.6 with fulvic acid and FFJ, and today, they also got 1.25 liters of water @ pH 6.6 but with humic acid. ------------------------------
