The veg cycle was shorter than i usually like to have a plant go through, due to time restrictions for the Bubba Cheesecake Diary grow-off, but it still did fantastic in my mind! Three months in veg under high-octane light and 11 1/2 weeks in flower have let this plant turn into a dreadlocked group of nugs. Three main colas, but lots of burnable flower to enjoy once the dry is finished. I did a light LST with a decent amount of defoliation throughout the plant's life. I like to open up the middle area of the plant and let as much light as possible hit as many branch and potential flower nodes as possible. This way, i don't need to lollipop as many branches and as much foliage as i would if i didn't do this. Plus, the candelabra look is b-e-a-Utiful, in my opinion. Light intensity through veg ranged from 40% as a fresh seedling to around 55% the week before i put it into the bloom room. Once it was in the bloom room, the intensity was set at 50% for the first couple weeks to allow for a decent stretch. After that, i think i recorded the light intensity in my diary notes for each week. But, just in case i didn't, I bumped up the intensity by a few percent every 3 days until i hit 100%. Once i got to MAXIMUM POWER, i left it there until harvest. Water was natural well water that tests out at 7 pH. I always added BuildABloom to the water, never the soil, when i used it. Same with Dr. Earth's 1-2-1 tea concentrate. Other than those instances, it was just straight water that i was giving to the plant. Grow rooms are both about 4'x8'. Hey everyone, Starting some CBD seeds to go along with everything else growing. Kinda making the best of what I have available, small little pop up greenhouse. Got some solar powered fans and run the humidifiers on a timer depending on heat and what not. Looking to be doing good so far, weather is crappy right now but should be better later this week.

Hey Guys! Super excited this week! I've really been wanting to try growing outdoors, so I built a cheap hoop house! Got most of this stuff for the frame from Lowes under 300$. All the soil products I got from GrowGreenMI. Some really cool people out there. One thing I'm super worried about is drainage. Right now those holes are about 4 feet deep and they've got about 4 inches of water in them already. What's been cautioned is that, eventually, about 2 months in these plants roots will grow and reach the bottom and cause root rot to form. One of the biggest things I was trying to be wary of was causing root rot. This was also the biggest precautionary measure I took when mixing the soil. Adding the extra perlite, coco, and clay pebbles. Best advice right now is to build the soil up on the holes another 16 to 18 inches and possible stick a PVC pipe down to the lowest drainage point of the hole to allow some of that natural occurring water to evaporate. Any advice anyone has on it is welcomed! Making a compost tea for the soil outdoors, will probably put 2 cups in each RDWC bucket as well and let that do it's magic for a day or so before nutrient change. Raised the bed about 14 inches as well! All the seeds sank! Off to a good start! Lol

Start of week 3 looking good starting to get frosty fan leaves which has never happened in my soil grows so this is very interesting. Definitely enjoying the ease of this system it's almost annoying how easy it is. And floraflex has been a dream of a fertilizer holds pH very well not chasing the pH constantly. All I do is top off 33% strength nutrient solution once a week, 33% strength silica calmag and hydroguard once a week then top off with just regular pH tap water. Water from my tap is 98 ppm so I'm not worried about getting a ro system.

Bushing out nicely! I probably should have adjusted the LST to allow them to grow taller but they were responding nicely so I kept them pinned and adjusted every few days. Finally started ph’ing the water to around 6. Water is tap, not measuring TDS or adding liquid nutes at this point. The soils transplant was done with 50/50 mix of Natures Living Soil and soil, botto 1/3 of pot and remaining 2/3 soil.

Defoliation done on the last day of the week, everything's fine so far. The flowers have already started to give off a wonderful scent, everything is going as expected. Looking forward to the next few weeks... ✌️

Still feeding, just letting them do their thing in their small pots. They are doing really well and showing no issues.

May 4: nice spring day so the plants were outside in the afternoon. Some direct sun but mostly in the small greenhouse to stay warm out of direct sun. Still spraying with water to make up for low humidity, but also starting to water soil in a circle around the plant. Using Monster Maxx this year. Used last year in my compost tea and the root balls were very dense and intricate so it seems to work as advertised. Will still be mostly used for compost tea but also according to label direction of 2 mL/L once a week. May 5: mixing soil and sorting out grow bags for this year. Putting some spruce cones in the bottom to ensure air gets to the roots at the bottom. Indoor growers often use clay balls for this apparently but I’ve got lots of spruce cones handy and they’ll do the trick. May 6: looking good with all three looking very similar at this early stage. May 7: looking good. Room temp could be higher but oh well. May 9: beautiful warm spring day so I decided to transplant the chosen seedling into the final container.
