Another week has flown by! The girls are doing great, cruise control this week as I have just been monitoring RH and temps. Trying to keep them as low as possible, I’ve been getting as low as 74 during the day and 68 at night. I finally took a look a look at the trichomes with my jewellers loop, lots of cloudy, and a few amber around the leaves and top colas, but still lot’s of clear trichomes. I’ve ordered myself a wireless/usb digital microscope to assist with the process, and looks like it will be here just in time to determine harvest day. 😎🎄 I started by eliminating the nutrients at the beginning of the week. I typically allow for 3-4 pure water feeds before I harvest, and at the rate they have been drinking, this should be enough to get through the 7-12 days they have before harvest. I don’t flush, but rather “rinse” with normal water amounts, allowing the plant to use up the remaining nutrients in the soil. This also allows me to recover most of the soil from my grows and reuse ♻️ with other soil mix. There has been great debate and a great deal of bro science out there for many years, but the recent studies suggest there is no difference in end result when it comes to flushing or using nutrients right until the end, if a proper dry and cure is performed. What do you think? What do you prefer to do? Thanks for reading this far, leave me a comment with your preferred method 👊🇨🇦❤️

This is the start of my second grow and also second Northern Light Auto from RQS, the goal is to hit #1 in g/plant for that Strain. I didn't take as many notes as in the last grow but there are timelapses, some photos and metrics from probes. Started with 3 Seeds and then picked the 2 strongest. The System is a NFT System but due to the size of the tube and root growths the solution with submerge the roots ~70% later on. To combat that I use 3 small 1.5w air pumps, these are super silent, if one dies I got 2 more running and to be honest air pumps used in DWC systems are often oversized and rely on Broscience. In my Salad/Herb NFT Systems I don't use any air pumps and the plants are just fine and grow great. This time I added sprinklers to humidify the air inside the tube, slightly moisturize the Rockwool and speed up root growths. Spoiler: Was a great success :) The ratios for the fertilizers are not accurate in the following weeks, I have a 120l Reservoir that is filled 90-110l I top it up once or twice a week to sustain PH and EC, if you want to copy it just go by the EC and use the B (Calcinit) and A (Kristalon Blue/Orange) 50/50. I mix the solution myself with dry salts that I bought in bulk 25kg bags. 4l Water(distilled/RO preferably, tap water is OK) + 1kg salts mixes just fine, keep the solution dark and cool and it will stay stable for months. Dry salts don't expire if kept cool and dry so only mix what you need and keep the rest stored as dry salts. 40ml A + 40ml B is about 2EC and 6PH with my tap water, very similar to Canna, Plagron etc. isn't it? just with the twist that I pay ~20% of the known brands. P2O5, K2O, MgO etc. are always the same as long as they are produced by a good manufacturer, Yara is a world leader in fertilizer production just not to be found in you general hydroponics or hardware store. Any other known manufacturer is fine as well, pick the cheapest. Check Hoocho on Youtube to see a guide on how to mix your own solutions, it ain't that difficult trust me. From week 5 onwards I also use Oxygen granulate (KMPS, CAS-70693-62-8, 2KHSO₅ * KHSO₄ * K₂SO₄) if you want to use this check pool supply stores and buy the cheapest. Keep this one dry, cool and dark. I used a old pill bottle to keep some ready to go because it came in a 1kg container and I only need 2-4g per serving + the bottle has a silica pack in the cap. From week 6 onwards I used Haifa Grow Clean for Details check week 6, I use this one as dry salts and add it directly to the tank, it does not interact in a bad way with the solution. For meassurements I use a generic 8in1 Meter "PH-W218" branded by many companies, as usual, check stores and buy the cheapest. (Check week 1 for an image of it) I got mine from Aliexpress for ~70€ it uses the Tuya app so you can always check your metrics and export them aswell. The PH and EC probe are accurate and are giving me stable results for almost 1 year now, I re calibrate the PH probe once in a while and it is tops 0.15 off after a month, always double check your results with PH drops/paper. Bluelab is... A LOT more expensive for less value. For the timelapses I use 2 Tappo C210 2k Cameras, these have the ability to make the stream available trough RTSP so that you can access it trough a link in a browser and that way I snap a Screenshot with a raspberry pi :) after that I just render it with blender to a timelapse. Sadly they seem to have trouble with the bright lights and I get image trouble over the course of the day, if you have a recommendation hit me up :) The script I use to take the Images: #!/bin/bash ########################################################################################################################################## ##### A script to save images from a rtsp capeable IP cam, Tapo C210 (2k image quality) for example in my case. ##### Images are saved in a directory named "2024_01_01" for example, it uses the "date" command within the system it is running on. ##### You can then render the images to a timelapse, I use blender for that. ########################################################################################################################################## RTSP_URL_LEFT="rtsp://:@:/stream1" #sets the variable for cam LEFT access RTSP_URL_RIGHT="rtsp://:@:/stream1" #sets the variable for cam RIGHT access while true; do TIMESTAMP=$(date +"%Y_%m_%d_%H_%M_%S") #sets the timestamp variable DIRECTORYLEFT=/$(date +"%Y_%m_%d") #sets the directory variable with current day for LEFT DIRECTORYRIGHT=/$(date +"%Y_%m_%d") #sets the directory variable with current day for RIGHT mkdir -p "${DIRECTORYLEFT}" #makes a directory for each day if it doesn't exist for LEFT mkdir -p "${DIRECTORYRIGHT}" #makes a directory for each day if it doesn't exist for RIGHT ffmpeg -y -i "${RTSP_URL_LEFT}" -frames:v 1 -vf "format=yuvj420p" "${DIRECTORYLEFT}/${TIMESTAMP}.jpg" #captures a frame from the RTSP stream and save it as a JPEG image for LEFT ffmpeg -y -i "${RTSP_URL_RIGHT}" -frames:v 1 -vf "format=yuvj420p" "${DIRECTORYRIGHT}/${TIMESTAMP}.jpg" #captures a frame from the RTSP stream and save it as a JPEG image for RIGHT ################################################################################################################################ ##### Waits for 180 seconds, change that depending on how precise you want the timelapse to be, less waiting = more images ################################################################################################################################ sleep 180 done Hope you like my diary, leave a comment and a like if you like it :)

Nearing the end, the past week I only gave plain water and yesterday added 2ml/L of Flawless Finish. The tent is filled with notes of citrus. Buds are getting heavier and require support (blue vinyl cord visible in pictures).

She is going all out right now. Nothing slows her down. I did a heavy defoliation and she just kept going balls to the wall. The silica blast has really toughened her up.

Se acercan las 2 ultimas semanas. Esta semana y luego se viene flawless. Tratando de bajar de a poco la EC y bajando la humedad para evitar problemas fungicos. Un olor fuerte a frutas tropicales, y mucha resina.

I don't know where to start and I must admit I'm completely overwhelmed by this beautiful beautiful plant ❤️❤️❤️ Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, I'm so happy 😍😍😍 She is a blessing! Excuse the outburst, but she is magical ☀️ I applaud you guys at Humboldt for creating such a wonderful strain 🙌 Some details upfront, before I rave some more: - 134 Days in total: 70 Days in Veg, 64 Days in Flower with 128W LED in a 60x60x160cm tent - 7 Days Drying regularly, 9 Days Drying in the Fridge - 432g - Wet weight with stems - 103g of those for Fresh Harvest Infused Oil - 190ml Olive oil with 30mg/ml THC & CBD - approx. 20g dry (for dry weight calc.) - 87g for the DrZiggy's Low And Slow Drying in the fridge - 20g dry - 242g for regular Drying @50% RH and 22°C - 55g dry - 30g dried sticky trim in the freezer Summary of my growing experience with this strain: She takes well to massive training and a little neglect in the beginning, meaning she recovers well, which is what I want 😊 I didn't experience any major deficiencies. She had a little nitrogen deficiency during the later veg phase, which she showed with lighter green leaves. I blame this on my long veg time and my pot size of only 11l. She consumed all her soil and nutes by the end of veg. I will keep that in mind for my next grow. Since I increased my nitrogen levels so close to flowering phase, I overdid it a little on the nitrogen which showed a little bit during later flowering phase with downwards clawing leaves. So I will be more careful with nitrogen especially while transitioning into Flower. I did not flush this plant and she smokes already beautifully mild after only a couple of days of curing. Drying her took 7 days in the tent and 9 days in the fridge. She crusted up with lots of stickiness while drying and gave off a good bit of scissor hash & kief when trimming. Smoking her is a great and different experience to me. It's my first time with a 1:1 strain and I can definitely notice the CBD content. She shows in a very well balanced body high with a slight and gentle knock on the THC door. The first couple of days I felt a craving for higher THC which settled down after only a couple of days. Very interesting and definitely worth growing. So you guessed right, I totally recommend growing this beauty. Especially if you are interested in exploring a 1:1 THC:CBD strain with all its magical medicinal values 🙏 Why I grew this strain: Like @Experimentgreen on here, I grew this strain for my Mama ❤️ She is open minded to trying to solve some of her health issues with these beautiful plants and the magic they bring but she also likes to have a bit of fun, she doesn't mind. So a 1:1 strain was quite handy. She suffers from neuropathic pain, arthritis in her joints, restless legs and insomnia. All very relatable issues and perfectly suitable to be introduced to some good CBD and THC content. She already has a little tolerance, since she is treating her restless legs with gummi bears I made with a strength of 1.5mg/gummi bear. This small dose already helps her on a daily for her restless legs. Beautiful 😍 So with this special mission in mind, I wanted to process the plant with only the very best options and create Cannabis Oil (Capsules) for my Mom to take. I chose a method called "Fresh Harvest Infused Cannabis oil" by the wonderful member SweetSue over at 420magazine: https://www.420magazine.com/community/threads/fresh-harvest-infused-cannabis-oil.363371/ I hope it's ok to relink, no need to duplicate already existing and well researched content, right? I will not go into detail and def. recommend reading through the whole thread. I only document the short version here, but feel free to ask me, I'm happy to share my experience. The oil I made has 30mg/ml of THC and CBD. That's a good value. I calculated the strength the following: 75g fresh Flower in 200ml Olive Oil - with 10% CBD&THC 85% extraction efficiency with the infusion method 85% * 10% THC&CBD = 0.0850 0.0850 * 75g = 6.375 gram of available THC & CBD 6.375gram * 1000 = 6375mg/THC 6375mg/CBD 6375mg/200ml = 31.875mg/ml CBD & THC I created capsules with 3mg per capsule. We are currently trying to find the right dose for her. She started taking one capsule 60-90min before bed for 3 days now and will increase by 1 capsule tonight. We continue until a max dose of 15mg/day but always re-evaluate how she feels. She's documenting her experience quite cute. Very heartwarming and powerful. So far she sleeps better and she falls asleep faster, which she hadn't done in a long while. Onset is pretty precisely between 60 and 90 minutes. She has not had any restless legs so far. I'm excited for her and can't wait to see where this takes us. I also made her a salve/creme she uses as a topical on her joints. When she uses it early enough, before the big pain hits, she feels it helps. Of course this is not a science study and everything is purely based on personal experience. I thought I share, in case anyone is interested, also I want to give back a little, since I consume so much knowledge from all over the internet, including here, so thanks 🙏

# Passion Fruitz by Zamnesia 🍓🌱 ## Week 1 Vegetation | The Second Chance Starts Growing Hello GrowDiaries family! 👋🌱 Welcome back to the Passion Fruitz diary. If you followed the germination report, you'll remember that this little lady's journey started slightly differently from the rest of the garden. While her sisters were already establishing themselves in their final homes, Passion Fruitz first taught me a small lesson about patience and adaptation. The original seedling never fully established after germination, likely due to an overly wet starter plug. Rather than giving up on the cultivar, I decided to start again. Thankfully, the second attempt proved successful. And now, after a healthy germination and strong emergence, Passion Fruitz officially joins the rest of the garden for her first week of vegetative growth. Sometimes all a plant needs is a second opportunity. --- ## Moving Into Her Final Home Unlike many traditional growing approaches where plants are gradually stepped through multiple container sizes, this project follows a different philosophy. Because every plant in this run is being grown under a 12/12 schedule from seed, I prefer eliminating unnecessary transplant stress whenever possible. For that reason, Passion Fruitz was moved directly into her final 15-liter container filled with Plagron Lightmix. The goal is simple: Allow the roots to expand naturally from the beginning without interruptions or restrictions later on. By giving the roots their final destination immediately, the plant can focus entirely on establishment and growth rather than recovering from future transplants. --- ## Introducing Mycorrhizae One of the additions used during transplant was mycorrhizal fungi. For newer growers, mycorrhizae are often described as one of nature's hidden partnerships. These beneficial fungi form a symbiotic relationship with plant roots, creating an underground network that effectively extends the plant's ability to explore the substrate. Think of it as nature's own support system. The fungi receive sugars produced by the plant through photosynthesis. In return, they help increase access to water, phosphorus, micronutrients, and other resources that may otherwise be difficult for young roots to reach efficiently. While the effects are mostly invisible during the early stages, the objective is to establish a healthy underground foundation that can support vigorous growth throughout the cycle. Growing often focuses on what happens above the soil. But some of the most important work happens beneath it. --- ## Environment Environmental conditions remained consistent with the rest of the room. Temperatures stayed around 27°C during lights-on. Humidity remained near 55%. Root zone and nutrient solution temperatures were maintained around 21°C. CO₂ levels remained approximately 600 ppm. The Future Of Grow Black Series LED system continued providing approximately 350 PPFD under the 12/12 schedule. Although this PPFD value may appear relatively high for a young seedling, it is important to remember that Daily Light Integral (DLI) changes significantly when plants receive only 12 hours of light compared to the more common 18-hour vegetative schedule. In practical terms, the plant receives a shorter daily light exposure, allowing slightly stronger light levels without delivering excessive total daily energy. The objective is to encourage early adaptation to the environment while maintaining healthy, stress-free development. --- ## Nutrition As with the rest of the garden, the first irrigation consisted only of water. Young seedlings already contain the nutritional reserves needed for their earliest stages of life. Once Passion Fruitz began establishing herself in the new container, a gentle feeding program was introduced. Current nutrition includes: • Plagron Terra Grow • Plagron Power Roots • Plagron Pure Zym • Plagron Sugar Royal All applied at very light concentrations. At this stage the objective is not maximum growth. The objective is establishing a healthy root system and creating momentum for the weeks ahead. Strong foundations almost always outperform aggressive beginnings. --- ## First Week Observations Considering that Passion Fruitz started several days behind the rest of the room, her progress this week has been extremely encouraging. She remains smaller than many of her sisters, which is entirely expected given her delayed start, but her overall development tells a much more important story. Healthy color. Balanced structure. Good leaf formation. Steady growth. And perhaps most importantly, visible signs that she is already beginning to catch up. Throughout the week her leaves expanded nicely, new growth emerged consistently, and she showed the kind of vigor that suggests the earlier setback is now firmly behind her. The difference in age remains visible. The difference in potential certainly does not. --- ## Looking Ahead Week one was all about establishment. Roots finding their new home. Beneficial fungi beginning their underground work. The plant adjusting to her final container. And a young Passion Fruitz proving that a delayed start does not mean a weak start. The coming weeks will reveal much more about her structure, growth habits, and personality. For now, she's healthy, she's growing, and she's officially part of the race. Sometimes the best stories don't begin perfectly. Sometimes they begin with a comeback. Huge thanks to Zamnesia Seeds for the genetics, Plagron for the substrate and nutrition, Future Of Grow for the lighting, and everyone following along on another seed-to-harvest adventure. Grower's Love everyone. 🌱💚

So I'm on holiday at the mo. My friend is house sitting (plant sitting) and has sent me a few photos to keep me happy. Not the best quality as over exposed, so I'll upload some better ones when I'm home on Sunday. Worth noting that the light yellowing of the leaves is a result of the over exposure and not a dying plant lol. Looks like good progress. No close ups to see if it's flowering unfortunately, but it's definitely still growing in stature. A follower noticed some leaves clawing at the top of the plant, but it hasn't got any worse in the last week and I haven't actually given it any additional nutes, so fingers crossed I don't have nitrogen toxicity. Gave some Biosyss last week, hoping that it has provided an optimum environment I didn't use LST and wondering whether that's going to mean a lesser yield. Update: asked a question and found that not too late to LST so going to start that Monday when back from hols. Updated with better pictures 👌🏻 Any thoughts? I'm back from holiday tomorrow and planning on starting a feeding schedule of biogrow, bio bloom and topmax to maximise yield 👌🏻 10/10/21 - Back from holidays and have uploaded new pictures. Lots of pistels appearing now suggesting it is going into flowering. I have decided to go ahead and LST despite the stress it might cause. I figured with it being a hardy strain that it may tolerate it, and the benefits (if it works) would make it worth the risk. 11/10/21 - Plants have coped really well with the nutrients. Checked pH today and sitting at around 6 which is ideal. Humidity fluctuates a little. Between 45% and 65%. If keeps going high then I'll put a dehumidifier in. Buds starting to form/flower now. Exciting times

Hey hey! So my first week of proper seedling growth felt like it lasted forever! I feel like I definitely overwatered them in the germination phase and for the first few days of being seedlings, dialled it back a bit by giving them an extra day to dry out and they seemed to react well and have a bit of a growth spurt. Note for next grow: When transplanting cubes plant them a bit deeper in the soil, as once you water them the soil compresses causing them to poke out a bit! Also noticed a slight bit of green algae on one of the cubes, just picked it off and covered with soil to hide from light. Measured the PH of my tap water and was surprised to see that it was measuring 8.5, whereas previously it was around 6.5 - 7. Checked online and supposedly I do have very soft water, so i'm guessing this was just an anomaly. Anyway, readings for this water were: Tap: 8.5 Mixed with some Calmag due to my soft water + PH down to balance it: 6.3 Runoff: 5.5 Was surprised by the runoff being so low, going to mix in a slightly higher PH for tomorrows watering (maybe around 6.8~) and see how the runoff turns out. Overall pretty pleased and finding growing SUPER satisfying! It's turning out to be an amazing hobby.
