🚂 Cash Express – Pheno A Week 5 | Full Steam Ahead One of the most rewarding parts of documenting an entire phenotype hunt is watching every individual plant write its own story. Even though this lady shares the same room as several of her sisters, she’s following her own timeline with complete confidence. Welcome back to another week of the 8×8 Adventure! For anyone discovering this diary for the first time, this project follows multiple phenotypes under identical environmental conditions using the 12/12 From Seed method. Instead of forcing flowering by changing the light schedule, every plant receives 12 hours of light from the day she germinates, allowing each phenotype to decide for itself when it’s ready to reproduce. There are no doubts anymore… Flowering has officially begun. ⸻ 🌼 The First Flowers This week the plant truly announced the beginning of her reproductive stage. Fresh white pistils are now appearing across every growing tip, marking the first real flower sites. Those tiny white hairs are far more than just pretty decorations. Each pistil is part of the female flower and serves as the structure that would naturally receive pollen in nature. In an indoor sinsemilla grow, however, they become the foundation for the beautiful resin-covered buds we’re all hoping to harvest later. It’s always one of my favourite moments in a grow. The transition from “plant” to “flowering plant” has officially started. Although she’s still compact, every day now brings noticeable changes as the flowering sites become more defined. ⸻ 💧 AutoPot Life Like her Blueberry Muffin sister growing beside her, this phenotype has now fully transitioned onto the AutoPot irrigation system. Instead of watering from the top every day, the plants now feed themselves whenever they need moisture. At the heart of the system is the AquaValve. This clever little mechanical valve keeps a shallow reservoir inside each tray, automatically opening and closing as the plant drinks. Once the tray is empty, fresh nutrient solution flows in again, creating a continuous wet-and-dry cycle without electricity or timers at each pot. It allows the roots to decide when to feed rather than relying on my watering schedule. So far… She’s absolutely loving it. ⸻ 🍽️ Feeding & A Small Observation This week’s reservoir was prepared using: • Terra Grow – 1.8 ml/L • Terra Bloom – 1.9 ml/L • Power Buds – 1 ml/L The reservoir remains intentionally simple for AutoPot use, allowing the solution to stay stable while circulating continuously. During this week’s inspections I also noticed something worth documenting. Several older fan leaves are beginning to show a gentle loss of colour. Nothing dramatic. No burnt tips. No rapid deterioration. Just a subtle lightening that suggests she’s beginning to ask for slightly more nutrition as flowering accelerates. Rather than immediately assuming a deficiency, I prefer making small adjustments and watching how the plant responds. For that reason I increased the EC slightly this week. Now the plant gets the opportunity to tell me whether that adjustment is enough. Growing is often less about reacting quickly… …and more about listening carefully. ⸻ 🌿 Environment The flowering room continues operating under stable conditions. • Day temperature averaged 31.1°C • Night temperature remained around 25°C • Solution temperature stayed near 21.6°C • Root zone remained approximately 21°C • Relative humidity averaged 72% • Atmospheric CO₂ measured roughly 639 ppm The humidity may appear a little high, but at this early flowering stage I’m still comfortable maintaining these levels while the plants continue stretching and building new flower sites. As flowering progresses and the buds begin gaining density, humidity will gradually come down to create an even safer environment for resin production and flower development. Everything follows the plan. ⸻ 📸 Behind This Week’s Photos This week’s gallery tells a very exciting story. The close-up photographs capture the explosion of fresh white pistils appearing from nearly every node, confirming that flowering is now fully underway. The side profiles show a compact but extremely healthy structure, while the overhead shots reveal an even canopy that should make excellent use of the flowering light over the coming weeks. Some of the photographs also document the slight paling of a few fan leaves. Rather than hiding these moments, I like including them because they remind us that plants constantly communicate. Sometimes they’re simply asking for a little more. Learning to recognise those conversations is part of becoming a better grower. (And yes… eagle-eyed viewers may notice the photo label accidentally says crash instead of cash. That’s entirely my mistake and will be corrected in the next update. I freaking love this plant. She's got dense buds already but she's throwing out pistils like no tomorrow. I'm curious to see how much bigger she's going to get in the next few weeks. What up fam, weekly update on these ladies. So far they've dealt with the heat like champs. Thankfully I got my AC fixed and it's back up and running. So thank God as we're having a heat wave still with day temps in the high 90's. They're getting fed 16oz of fed daily. It's looking like maybe another week or two before they'll get harvested. Gran semana, días de calor y sol intenso azotan a esta chica, tuvimos que moverla de sitio y probé cogiendo de su tronco, la maceta de 60 litros se levantó sin problemas, sus raíces han de ser una verdadera bestia 😍 de ahí el vídeo de Rambo con la mejor super arma que hemos visto 😂 Revisamos la base del sustrato y hay mucha vida en el, las raíces están hasta el fondo y no hay exceso de humedad gracias a los huecos en el tubo. Luego de todo esto ha sido todo muy agradable, ella crece y comenzó a florecer ya dando forma a sus primeros pistilos en cada punta 🌿💐❤️ Un gran abrazo a todos y éxitos!!! IRIE!

AlienZ Automatic - Greenhouse Seed Co. Day 82 - watered with 2L of RO tap water, mixed with the defined nutrients in order and then pH'd to 6.3. She's now in week 7 of bloom, so this will be her final week with full nutrients 🙌🏻 She has bulked up well this week, and her flower has started to mature as well as her aroma, which is fruity and citrusy 👌🏻 I've removed a couple of her fan leaves to improve light penetration, but nothing major - that'll all be saved for her final week 👍🏻

German version below: Critical Neville Haze Auto | Let the new adventure begin So, it’s finally time to get started with our new project! The Critical Neville Haze Auto had us curious even before the first leaf appeared. Its flavor is described as “sweet metallic”, which is either incredibly exciting or a very creative way of describing something rather special. Either way, it’s a welcome change for us. At around 90% Sativa, this is the first strongly Sativa-dominant plant we’ve grown in quite a while. We’re especially curious to see what the little 10% Indica from Il Diavolo (DS8) will contribute in the end. Maybe a bit more structure, maybe some extra chill in the genetics. We’ll find out. All the seeds looked really good, so our selection process was, of course, based on highly scientific criteria: we simply picked the one that looked the most potent. Grower logic. Now we’re just hoping she doesn’t taste quite as loud and colorful as the packaging looks. We’re absolutely thrilled to be part of this contest and just as excited to see which great Diaries we’ll be competing against. That’s exactly what makes these contests so much fun for us: discovering new grows, getting new ideas and seeing how our own experience holds up against other growers. Since the weather is still surprisingly nice at the moment, we initially let the seed start outdoors. She didn’t get to enjoy that freedom for long, though. Right after planting, she moved indoors. Apparently, her outdoor career was a very short one. New nutrients!!! ATAMI A very special thank you goes to Marc/Mark from ATAMI. Our informative and genuinely great conversation made us curious about the ATAMI nutrient system and ultimately convinced us to give it a try for the first time in this Diary. We’re really interested to see how the system performs in everyday use, especially with almost daily feeding and such precise dosing. A little spoiler right from the start: a 1 ml syringe was included. That at least suggests we’re not supposed to follow the classic grower philosophy of “roughly this much should do” or “more is better.” And honestly, we like that. For the substrate, we’re sticking with our tried-and-tested BioBizz soil for now. The mix is approximately 70% All Mix, 25% Light Mix and a small amount of worm humus. So we’re combining a familiar and proven foundation with a completely new nutrient system for us. Now it’s time to keep our fingers crossed, observe carefully and, most importantly, avoid over-optimizing everything into oblivion. A big thank you to Delicious Seeds and ATAMI for their support. Für uns ist sie jedenfalls eine willkommene Abwechslung, denn mit rund 90 % Sativa ist sie seit längerer Zeit mal wieder deutlich sativadominant unterwegs. Besonders gespannt sind wir darauf, was die kleinen 10 % Indica von Il Diavolo (DS8) letztendlich beisteuern. Vielleicht ein bisschen Struktur, vielleicht etwas mehr Entspannung im Genpool. Wir werden sehen. Die Samen sahen allesamt richtig gut aus und die Auswahl war entsprechend wissenschaftlich fundiert: Wir haben einfach den genommen, der am potentesten aussah. Growerlogik eben. Jetzt hoffen wir nur, dass sie geschmacklich nicht ganz so quietschig daherkommt, wie die Verpackung aussieht. Das informative und wirklich gute Gespräch hat uns neugierig auf das Atami Düngesystem gemacht und letztendlich davon überzeugt, es in diesem Diary zum ersten Mal auszuprobieren. Wir sind sehr gespannt, wie sich das System im Alltag schlägt, vor allem bei der beinahe täglichen Anwendung und der Dosierung. Ein kleiner Spoiler gleich zu Beginn: Eine 1 ml Spritze war bereits dabei. Das lässt zumindest vermuten, dass hier nicht nach dem Motto „Pi mal Daumen und viel hilft viel“ gearbeitet wird. Genau das gefällt uns. Beim Substrat bleiben wir zunächst unserer bewährten Biobizz Erde treu. Die Mischung besteht ungefähr aus 70 % All Mix, 25 % Light Mix und einer kleinen Portion Wurmhumus. Bewährtes Fundament trifft also auf ein für uns neues Düngesystem. Jetzt heißt es Daumen drücken, beobachten und möglichst wenig kaputtoptimieren. I Messed Up A DAY Here. So one of the days is dated wrong. I tried to correct it the best that I could. 7/24 I decided to label this week as flower. It's more like preflower though. GMOs are stretching like crazy. Due to the rain we weren't supposed to get some of my plants are a little over watered. That's why I love the fabric pots. With the winds we get the bags dry out fast. The GMO's would've needed water anyway if we didn't get this storm. Event Horizon seems to be the furthest in flower amd the most over watered. WE'LL get a LITTLE more rain today and tomorrow but then hopfully my bags will dry out. They are heavy as hell right now. Had we not got rain for what seems like forever. Several plants would've needed to be watered if we didn't get this rain. Still the plants are currently overwatered. All the pics and video so far are from this morning after the horrible pounding rain of yesterday. Like I said before, I need to; defoliate for better air flow, add secondary supports or a vertical trellis, considering using a preventative pest application (e.g. BT), LST and spread branches apart and start using nutes. 7/25 Wasn't supposed to rain today. Like .001. It poured this morning and is still raining VERY LIGHTLY at 2:30. We got an inch yesterday. The total for these 3 days was suppised to be under half an inch. Anyway I went over around two and everything looks great! Things are clearly overwatered and heavy but the plants look happy! Most have their leaves out and everything! I love growing in bags because they dry out so quickly! I don't mind watering more. I defoliated one event horizon and the few yellow leaves I coukd see on other plants after shaking them off. The seedling in the 50 is far behind the others in flower and just showed its sex. I'm fairly certain that one is red runtz. Whatever it is is going to flower much later than the rest. It's going to be good if I have couple early finishers. I did a video but I'll have to upload tomorrow. I have a lot of work to do And not just in the garden so I'm hoping I can balance things out and get this stuff done. Caught three TINY inch worms. I'm wondering if me manually hunting has cut the adult population down and I'm just getting fresh born ones? If that's the case I wouldn't need to spray. 7/26 Plants looked pretty great today. I think me manually removing pillars has made a big difference. It's windy out too so it won't take long for those bags to dry out. Which is good because what wad supposed to be a half inch of rain turned into 3 straight days of rain. I'll be back over to work on the garden today and I'll update then. 7/27 Plants are looking pretty good. Good weather ahead and the bags are starting to lose weight. Found a pillar wrapped in a dead interior leaf all wrapped up. Found a couple more early this morning amd killed them. I did some slight leafing on some plants. I don't like doing that outdoors but since these are monster cropped they have far to many leaves. Airflow is improved. I'm not seeing any nutrient deficiencies yet. Plants are a vibrant healthy dark green. Soon I'll add a base nute like big bloom or ancient amber (I think that's the one, it's applicable to big bloom). I cam see some plants trying to start flowering and I've got one (in the 50) that has just shown sex. Hopfully this will give me some time between harvests. I'll update as I go along. DAD CALLED IN THE AFTERNOON AND SAID HE THOUGHT A PLANT MIGHT BE STARTING TO DROOP. IT WAS MY GMO CANARY THAT GETS HIT ON ALMOST THREE FULL SIDES BY WIND (ONLY ONE PLANT). I CHECKED THE WEIGHT AND IT WAS LIGHT. IT WAS DROOPING TOO. I WATERED THAT ONE PLANT WITH A GALLON AND WATCHED IT PERK BACK UP. I CHECKED THE WEIGHT ON THE OTHER PLANTS AND LIKE I THOUGHT THEY WERE STILL HEAVY. I PUT MY FINGER IN THE SOIL AND IT CAME AWWY COVERED IN DIRT. MY SEEDLING IN THE 10 WAS KINDA LIGHT SO I GAVE THAT HALF A GALLON. I USED THE OTHER HALF AS "A CUP OF KINDNESS" ON THE PLANTS THAT SEEMED LIGHTEST TO CARRY THEM OVER. I PROBABLY SHOULDVE WAITED BUT I DOUBT IT MATTERS. ILL CHECK IN THE MORNING. I ASSUME ILL HAVE TO WATER THEN OR AT NIGHT. ILL GO BY THE WEIGHT. THE CANARY WILL NEED TO BE ON A SEPERATE SCHEDULE. THATS FOR SURE. Went back over at 6:30 and plants looked better than they have in a long time bags still have some weight. With the sunny weather we are going to have these plants will keep exploding in growth. Found one pillar but I wasn't there long. Seriously considering a spray of BT in the near future. EDIT: UNFORTUNATELY MY SPIDEY SENSE STARTING TINGLING AROUND NOON. MY ANXIETY WONT LET ME IGNORE IT (IM NOW EMBRACING IT) AND I HAD TO CUT OFF A CONVERSATION WITH MY WIFE TO GO TO THE GARDEN. I IMMEDIATELY SAW THAT ONE OF MY GMOS WAS STARTING TO DROOP. NOT LIKE BEFORE BUT IF I HAD BRUSHED IT OFF AND LEFT IT FOR FOUR MORE HOURS IN THE 90° SUN IT WOULD'VE BEEN. I DECIDED TO DO THIS BECAUSE SOME PLANTS USE MORE WATER THAN OTHERS. BEFORE ACTUALLY GOING OVER I CONSULTED MY PREVIOS DIARIES. I HAD THIS SANE PROBLEM LAST YEAR ON THE SAME WEEK OF THE MONTH! THATS WHAT MADE ME TRUST MY INTUITION FULLY. I LEARNED FROM THE MISTAKE OF LAST YEAR. THINGS ARE GOING GOOD. IM STARTING NUTES SOON AND I NEED TO SPEAY FOR BT BUT DONT KNOW IF IT WILL BE TONIGHT. 7/29 Apparently my intuition worked out well. Plants looked great this morning. I may feed today. I defoliated a bit and watered the 10g with a half gallon and gave another half gallon to the gmo on the end that dries out fastest and that I didn't water yesterday. I think I've got the watering down. Now I need to start nutes and spray bt. Need to wait for the rain first though. Suppised to get minor showers the next couple days. I'm gonna try to get the trellis up too. WENT BACK A LITTPE AFTER FOUR. HUMiDITY WAS 100% AND IT WAS RAINING VERY LIGHTLY. I MEAN AS LITTLE AS IT CAN POSSIBLY RAIN. ALMOST LIKE WHAT IT FEELS LIKE WITH THOSE MISTING FANS IF YOU STAND BACK A WAYS. I DIDN'T WATER. PLANTS WERE LOOKING GREAT! I DID SOME DEFOLIATION AND CAN TELL I NEED TO START NUTES. THE NEXT FEW DAYS IS SUPPISED TO BE SHOWERS. I DOUBT IT WILL GIVE MY BIG GIRLS ALL THEY NEED BUT IT WILL BE A GOOD START. I DID A VIDEO BUT ITS RATHER LONG SO I CANT UPLOAD IT HERE. IT WILL GET DONE THIS WEEK. 7/30 I held off watering today due to a supposed storm and rain we were supposed to be getting. I had early doctors appointments. I got back around 11 and the bags seemed light. After consulting last years diary I saw that I am underwatering. The root system weighs a lot! We haven't got the hundredths of an inch of rain but we got some sun. It's over cast now. I was there working for a few hours. I watered most a gallon. All the gmo's got a gallon. I gave the two event horizons about two thirds a gallon. About the same with the toasted toffy and the sherb pie. About 3/4 of a gallon as they seemed to have a little weight left. Looking at last years diary there were plants I was giving two gallons at a time in a 20 gal bag so I've been u Der watering a bit. I've caught it now and adjusted. I'm not losing leaves at the pace I have in the past. Even though some are in flower. I think I'm getting better. I fed for the first time today. Each plant got 1.75 pints. Except the 10gallon which got half the powerade bottle and the 5gal which got a qtr. By the time I left the plants were standing up nice and tall and looking amazing. Now I just need to apply bt and secondary supports. 7/31 Another eight day week. I'll have to do six days next week. Everything looked amazing this morning. I'm seeing less pest damage. Watering and feeding was the right move. Now I just have a little rearranging to do, add supports and spray if I decide to.

Week 10 – Gorilla Girl in Full Bloom! We’ve hit Week 10, and our Gorilla Girl by Sweet Seeds is deep into the flowering stage — and looking absolutely stunning! Standing at around 70 cm, she’s fully adapted to the SCROG setup, with buds forming beautifully across the canopy. Her structure is strong, her leaves vibrant, and the aroma is starting to intensify. We continue feeding her with Xpert Nutrients Bloom Formula, and the results speak for themselves — healthy growth, solid bud formation, and great vitality. Massive thanks to Sweet Seeds for this incredible strain and to Xpert Nutrients for the excellent bloom support. The final stretch is getting close — and it’s looking promising!

The buds are very tight, but they didn't grow large colas so that means wasted time trimming cannabis, which I am not a huge fan of. I will not be growing this strain again, as I believe there are far better breeders and strains out there. I will continue to seek out the best breeders and strains until I am satisfied. I believe this Auto will yield in the 16-22 Ounce range dry, so I am not super disappointed, but I know I can do much better than this. After 6 days of drying, it took me around 7 hours to trim this auto, and she ended up yielding 16.72 Ounces. So she was definitely on the lower end of the spectrum from what I estimated on chop day, but still in the range. The buds are very tight, and smell like like cheese. I am only running one mature auto at a time now, so next up will be the Acid Dough from Ripper Seeds. I hope everyone has a great rest of your weekend, stay safe and Blaze On!!
