Whats Up from Down Under growmies?!! Another update- And its been a week thats for sure. I noticed a few spots of bud rot on some of the Zkittlez main colas- after that rain last week- so being week 7 in flower heading on into week 8, I decided to chop the affected buds and a few around them. After sniping out the mold, its hung up drying now. After speed drying a few nugs to see, it was obvious she wants a week more to put on a bit more weight, she dries out to weight next to nothing but damm is she clean as a whistle!! Very fresh and sweet smell, and taste with a racy head high thats on the short lived side. That also suggests she needs at least a week more if not 10 days. But what can ya do? Its a few Oz easy if it kept its weight. Quite enjoying the smoke though so cant complain. Id be annoyed if it was for sale as it weighs next to nothing, but its not. I ran it super light on nutes the whole way, and prob stopped bloom nutes a week too soon looking back, so light weight is to be expected in early bud. A dose of humiboosta this week was given to help release any remaining nutes in the soil and give the plant a boost in carb production for its last week or so. Hash plant is looking good considering its issues, its fought off mold on its own it seems, I snipped off a few buds that had issues, but all in all its doing well for a runt I fed even less than the others. Colas are looking very fox tailed but also filling in quite well despite that, will be interesting to see what the final buds look like. Gave a final dose of light Bloom nutes and Humaboosta for her last two weeks or so. Project Sour lemon D got a heavy dose of bloom nutes as she basically wasnt fed until I saw the buds were actually buds and not bananas. So second proper feeding since she started flower a few weeks back. And decided to do this weeks diary in the Twilight light, as I noticed the Zkittlez had a Visitor that was settling in for the night to do some hunting, so added a few pics and a vid of him/her also. This one's going to be super fun with one of my favorite autoflower strains from Seedsman Seeds, growing in a little 2qt. popcorn pot and entered in the 'Best Rarest & Smallest Pot by Seedsman' contest, this one's gonna be a champ! 🤩 Today I went ahead and planted a seed directly into the medium which was pre-moistened with tap water from my well. After I placed the seed about 4-5mm deep, I gently covered it with medium and poured approx. 1oz of water on it. I'll keep the pot in the tent with a Solo cup over it to retain the moisture until it sprouts... Fingers crossed! 🤞🤞 11/3- When I checked on the Zkittlez this evening I was elated to see that it had broken ground sticking up about 4-5mm from the medium! I removed the red Solo cup from her and replaced it with a clear cup that has ventilation holes in it and which I misted the inside of with water to ensure adequate humidity for the seedling. 11/4- This morning I checked on her and she's already up to about 18mm tall but has not shed her shell yet. I'll make sure that the medium stays just moist for now until she's a little older. By late in the evening she had shed her shell and her cotyledon's began opening. I noticed, after taking a close look at her, that her first tiny set of leaves were brownish looking with light colored tips. I immediately thought back to when I was pee-moistening her medium and had a 'high moment' using my other plants nutrient solution which was around 800ppm in her pot instead of the straight well water I usually use. I thought that she was getting nutrient burn causing the funky color of her first leaf set but fortunately by the end of the 20 hour light cycle, she had her first leaf set out and the were a healthy green! 11/7- Well gromies this girl has a week behind her now and I'm elated to say that she's healthy and doing marvelously! Up until now all I've done is make sure that her medium didn't dry out using straight well water ph'd to 6.1 @ 75℉. Today I went ahead and watered/fed her with 0.6L of well water with Dutch Pro Grow 'A' & 'B' added @ 10ml/g, Dutch Pro Multi Total @ 7.6ml/g, Dutch Pro Take Root @ 3.8ml/g, Dutch Pro Silica Von Liebig Special @ 1.2ml/g and Earth Juice Oily Can @ 5ml/g which was then ph'd to 6.0 @ 74℉. The Seedsman Zkittlez Auto is doing great and now is at 2 inches tall with good color. Great week. Plants growing nice and healthy. Thick stems, nice color to the leaves. So far so good. They might turn out short and fat . Only time will tell .

Smell is very strong, fingers are super sticky from the slightest of touches, hoping she starts to pack on the weight for the next few weeks

Another great week for the Apple Betty girls. I have not seen a single deficiency, other than the odd yellowed or withered leaf under the canopy, typically due to lack of light. I will come through soon and do a defoliation of both tents to allow for more light to penetrate, and perhaps get a good push for some girthy colas 😋. I have lowered the temps a bit in the tents by controlling my lung room temps, and they are maxing out at 77 degrees and hitting a night time cool of about 70. I have also lowered the humidity to hover between 47 and 52 %. Hopefully will start to get some nice colours as they finish. As I mentioned before, when I water is when I like to get under the canopy and check the stems and leaves for anything that shouldn’t be… and typically once a week after watering I’ll wipe down the tent and sanitize any surface I can. There is no reason to get lazy, that’s how you get Pests, Mold, and PM. Happy Gardening 🇨🇦👊❤️

I’m not 100% done collecting all the data. By the smell of it, this plant will be one of the dankest plants I’ve ever grown. More to come. Tuesday, September 5 I have the nugs in jars right now. Hopefully I didn’t let it dry too much. Right now the humidity is at around 52% but I think if I move the jar around a bit I can them to sweat a bit more.

. So were should i start lol they all growing and streaching as they should. Cut down at day 60. Now drying for approximately 10-14 days in the same room with temps at 68 degrees and 60% humidity.

Ph was way too low the last 2 weeks but ignored it, since super soil. A few plants are very not happy about it So I drained the reservoire and cleaned everything out and PH'd the water to 6.8 with some sodium bicarbonate 🤞

Day 21 for the orange sherbet. She hasn't been getting the light she needs since she was so close to the bigger plants. Fixed that today though. Extended the boards that hold the plants so they can spread out more. I got them in the big room under some quantum boards so hopefully they will stay happy and start popping some pistils soon. Haven't changed the feed or water yet. They are starting to drink more so I will give them a few gallons soon

Day 10: They have been growing nicely. Beautifull green leafs, no deficiencies or stress. I did some Defoliation and I'm planning to top some plants but not all of them since they make nice main colas as well. Also nice roots so far, will let those grow for another 1-3 days before repotting them into 7L pots. While doing that I will add some new clay for beneeth the pots to have a good run-off. I will add some mycorizza as well to improve the roots and I will water them again with lots of Regulator(anti-stress) and Rhyzotonic( root stimilator). Some days after that, they are ready to get pushed into flowering. Sativas like to grow twice and sometimes even more in size. So the size which they are at the end of this week will be enough. So at the end of this week you will see them being in 7L pots and in a bigger grow space under lots of lamps. There are like 3-5 plants not growing nicely. Might have to kill them. I'm not going to waste time,energy,nutrients on those if they don't grow in size in a couple of days. So might end up with just 235 plants. Il update again at the end of this week. Day 14: I almost finished the rest of the grow room. I still need to adjust and replace the lamps some more and other things. Did many defoliation below the plants. Thoose branches are never going to preduce nice and thick buds anyways. Such a waste of energy and nutrients. Because of the removing of branches and leafs, They get a better airflow and better exposure of light as well. So for now they look a little bit ugly haha and not so bushy anymore, but they will grow into fine looking ladies. I kept 5 or 7 branches each plant and some bigger plants I even topped because I don't want them to stretch alot. Another reason is that I want bigger stems. If other plants that didnt get topped, not improving stems I can still top them until the end of week 1 of flowering. I'm putting them into flowering, by putting the lightschedule to 12hours of light and darkness. It will take a few days before they start preflowering. The first buds will be seen in like 10-14 days.
