Grow diary 11 stage 6 Day 51-60 This last 9 days she has continued to pop out the pistils. She is a little taller then I expected after the earlier topping. I got high hopes for this one. Development wise this one is also where I would expect her to be.

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Last week before flowering 😊😄😝 The plants did an excellent job last week. The repotting to the large pots has done them well. 👍 I have watered the plants 3 times now. First two times 5 liters of water, containing 1 tablet of RQS Easy Grow Booster. The third time 1.5 tablet for 5 liters of water. Mind ! It takes a while before the tablets are dissolved! 😹 The color of the new leaves is beautifully green. The VPD is now also perfect most of the time with a value of 1.0 👌 For that I had to increase the relative humidity to almost 70%. 😭 I attached the plants that are somewhat larger, to the plant sticks, with a plastic binding strip. In this way I pull the plants to the same height as the smaller plants. This gives me a nice match canopy. The lower side branches of the large plants will now develop more, but I will remove them later. 👽 The plants now get 18 hours of light, so that the shock is a little less when they go to 12/12. 🙏

Got these plants as rescues, they were infested with powdery mildew, and under a bad light cycle causing them to flower prematurely. I cleaned up the dead growth over a period of a week or so after planting them into my yard, as well as weekly misting with a milk based spray to combat the PM as they returned to vegetative growth.

The last 100 meters shallow hahaha. The vegetative growth and bud formation are good I believe we will have at most 15 more days for plants # B1 # B2 # B4 # B5. Plant # B3 has small white pistils and, due to its structure, there is no way for it to be a photoperiod so it will have more days than its sisters. **UPDATE: B3 finally starting flowering with 66 Days ***UPDATE: 68Days flush Plants OK

Day 65! They are doing so well but they are super thirsty! Also the odor is a lot stronger now 💚💚 Day 66! 32”! Day 67! Not much to say Day 68! The trichomes are growing quickly and smells great 😊🌱💚 Day 69! From being so obsessed with the plants I got carried away with the shots lol Day 70! Just fed them 2 days ago and gonna have to feed tomorrow. They are thirsty!!

It's been a pretty easy week. Enjoying watching the buds get thicker! Just going to coast to the end at this point....hoping to harvest within the next 2 weeks. Already getting excited for my next grow...thinking Ethos Planet of the Grapes or Ethos Crescendo.

I had fun with this barneys gorilla zkittlez, although it seems like it was ready around 7 weeks, its as if the plant has been in the early stages of self seeding when I've harvested on day 54~ of flower.. Can't think any other reason why this would've happened Anyway overall the bud is 95% amazing, just a slight sadness at the miniscule seeds forming close to the stems in the centre of some buds that takes away from the taste a little
