Some growers panic at 28°C in flower. In practice? Understanding beats numbers. ⸻ 🍃 LED, Leaf Temperature & VPD (Why 28°C Is Not “Too Hot”) Under LED: • No infrared radiation blast like HPS • Leaf surface temp typically 2–4°C cooler than room So: • Room ≈ 28°C • Leaf ≈ 24–26°C • RH ≈ 65% 👉 Leaf VPD sits beautifully in early–mid flower range. And the plants confirm it: • Deep green tone • No tacoing • No stress curl • No clawing • Strong praying posture • Internode stacking consistent The leaves are not just “nice.” They are metabolically comfortable. ⸻ 🌿 Defoliation — What Actually Happened I didn’t trim for aesthetics. I reset the architecture. From the timeline photos: Before: • Dense interior • Lower growth competing • Air pockets blocked • Light penetration limited After: • Clear lower third (true lollipop) • Secondary branches prioritized • Top energy redirected upward • Under-canopy airflow massively improved And the removed leaf pile? That tells the story of biomass management, not plant stress. Very important: The structure after defoliation still looks balanced — not skeletal. That means you removed intelligently, not emotionally. ⸻ 🔩 Clip Removal — The Branch Memory Effect Now let’s talk about something many growers don’t understand. When you use clips or branch spreaders: • You temporarily manipulate auxin distribution • You redirect apical dominance • You force lateral exposure Once removed? The plant reacts in 24–72 hours. From your timeline screenshots: • Branches begin to arc upward • Nodes reorient toward light • Vertical dominance partially reasserts • But structure remains widened This is perfect timing to remove clips: Week 2 flower stretch phase. Why? Because now: • The branch has lignified enough to hold structure • The stretch will “lock in” the new angles • You avoid late-flower snapping risk You can already see: The tops are reclaiming verticality while keeping spacing. That is textbook. ⸻ 🌱 The Burned Leaves (Under-Canopy Lighting) I saw the small localized tip burns. Important observations: • Not systemic • Not progressing • Mostly lower / under-canopy exposure • Slight edge crisping from proximity to under-light This is photonic intensity + proximity — not nutrient burn. Your EC at 2.9 is high compared to your other girls, yes. But here’s the key: They are eating it. Signs of overfeeding would show as: • Uniform tip burn across canopy • Dark clawing • Slowed growth • Salt buildup symptoms You have none of that. Instead: • Vigorous stretch • Praying posture • Uniform leaf tone So the EC is higher because: This phenotype is demanding more during stretch. That’s not excess. That’s appetite. ⸻ 🚀 The Stretch Now let’s talk genetics. Week 2 flower is just the beginning for these. Hola a todos! Ya se acerca el final de este diario, y por las dudas esta semana fue la última en regar con flora booster, Regue con 2ml x litro de agua. De un día al otro han aparecido unas moscas muy pequeñas que leyendo un poco se tratan de pulgones, en la gran mayoría de cogollos estaban pegados .He quitado a la gran mayoría, y para prevenir que se sigan expandiendo prepare un remedio casero con jabón blanco, y realice una aplicación en toda la planta,(al menos lo que note es que no han aparecido más, pero a la planta les quedaron las hojas un poco blancas).

Not as big as last time

Hello. This is the end of week 8 and the beginning of week 9 of flowering. Although the seed description said 10 to 11 weeks, I going to cut these girls down at 10 weeks. I need the room to grow and flower some Mac and Crack that's already growing.. Getting close to harvest I'll start flushing, But I'll give them 1 more feeding and then nothing but water till the end. I get much better taste and the buds smoke better if I flush and get the chemicals out of the soil before harvest. Well, that's the end of the Freak Bros. book # 10... I think there are 3 or 4 more books left in that series. I'll show them in future diaries. My other diaries have the old underground comic book, Weirdo by Robert Crumb if you want to check them out to see. The buds are really getting solid now and some are getting heavy and heading for the floor. Good times... Getting some great smells now. Musk is the most common. But some, smell of Citrus with Musk under tones. The smell is overpowering my carbon filter. I can smell these plants out by the street if the wind is blowing that way. Pure Lemon Skunk smell by the street. Nice. Getting near the end of their lives now and there are more yellow leaves as the plants pull what they need from the big fan leaves before turning the leaves brown. Some plants have sticky resin and some have slippery resin. OK. Have Fun. Chuck.

These are about a month old. I've no idea what they are as there from a long time ago and were mixed with a few varieties of autos and photoperiod. Hopefully they work out and are not Spanish sativa as that just gives me a headache after more than 0.25g in a day?? Anyone else ever have that? Powerplant does the same if I use more than 0.50g in a day. The only two strains that have that effect on me!

9. Woche Hab sie bisschen nackig gemacht 😄

Everything North and South is booming in Veg except for the OGK. It neither likes its soil or the humidity and temperature so I chopped it back and hope for the best.

Day 7: I removed the small Royal Jack Auto, since it hadn't shown any growth in the past 48 hours, and I'm germinating a new seed for the tent today. The remaining plants look robust and are growing fast. For now they're getting plain water only, and I'll water again mid-week. Next week I'll add a little nitrogen, some micronutrients and a drop of Supervit. The light is 35 cm above the canopy. It's a dimmable Mars Hydro, currently set at around 30–35%, so every plant gets roughly the same amount of light. Below is a conversion Gemini gave me. Lighting data (Day 7) - Lamp: Mars Hydro TS2000 - Height: 35 cm above the plant tops - Dimmer: 30–35% - Foot-candles: 940–1,100 FC - Lux: 10,114–11,836 lux - PPFD: 151–176 μmol/m²/s I'll wait until every plant has its third set of leaves before raising the power to around 40–45%. My usual light schedule for autoflowers: - Days 9–14 (early veg, third leaf set): 40% dimmer, about 200–250 PPFD - Days 15–21 (mid veg, multiple nodes): 50–60% dimmer, about 350–450 PPFD - Days 22–28 (late veg, pre-flower): 70–80% dimmer, about 550–650 PPFD - Flowering (week 5 onward): 100%, about 700–900+ PPFD Day 8: Thick, short stems with no stretching, and the second set of true leaves is fully formed. Day 9: 150 ml of water each, poured in a ring 6–7 cm from the stem. Day 10: The third and fourth sets of leaves are coming in strong. The structure is very compact and the leaves are a healthy, firm green. I gave each plant a single drop of Supervit. I plan to raise the dimmer to about 40% in the next day or two, depending on how the Royal Jack develops. I'll also raise the lamp a little, because the plants are getting taller and I don't want the new seedling to struggle right under it. Day 11: The replacement Royal Jack seed germinated today. The two Atlas are compact, with short internodes and no stretching. The Royal Jack is a little smaller, with narrower, slightly darker leaves, but it looks healthy. Day 12: I raised the lamp a few centimetres and set the dimmer to 40%. The replacement Royal Jack went into its 11 L pot, watered around the plug with Easy Root bacteria, under a cut-bottle dome to keep the humidity up. The larger plants are starting to push side branches. Day 13: No stress from the jump to 40%. The Atlas leaves are wide and well spread, with new side shoots at the nodes. The Royal Jack has put out a new set of leaves and is growing day by day, just more slowly than the Atlas. The replacement's cotyledons are open and healthy. Day 14: Today the three larger plants (2x Atlas F1 Auto, 1x Royal Jack Auto) got their first feed, RQS Easy Grow plus Easy Plus, at 30% of the recommended dose. The Easy Grow tablet is 3 g for 10 L of water, so I used 0.06 g in 0.7 L: about 260 ml for each Atlas and 160 ml for the Royal Jack, poured around the edge of the canopy rather than at the stem. I'm starting low on purpose: you can always add more nutrients later, but you can't take them out. There's also already 50 g of Easy Boost mixed into the soil. With autoflowers I always use bottled water during veg. The water I drink has a perfect pH of 6.3, but it's low in calcium and magnesium, which is why I've already added some Easy Plus. The last plain watering was on day 9 (150 ml each). All three look healthy and compact, with no stretching. The replacement Royal Jack stays under its dome until its first true leaves appear. The light is at 40%, about 40 cm above the plants. Next step is 50% for days 15–21.

Buds are really swelling and smell has come on strong ! Really shaping up to be nice plants and good looking buds. The trichomes are starting to stack on and hopefully will get better as the buds begin to bulk up here in last few weeks ! But really a beautiful plant and has great structure! Many main colas instead of just a Christmas tree shaped plant with 1 , so far that’s a bonus ! Beginning week 8 and things have come along great. After a slow start I’m really impressed with how these are looking. 1 of the 2 has quite a bit more color starting to appear on some leaves and in the new buds but both are turning into beautiful plants. Not a lot of smell coming from them yet but just starting to notice a few trichomes on some sugar leaves near the highest forming buds. 🌱 Tag 88 | 🌸 Blütetag 44 Drei Pflanzen, drei Persönlichkeiten Während Strawberry AK und Chicken & Waffles zunehmend kompakte Blütenstrukturen ausbilden, bleibt die Fruit Bomb Punch ihrem sativalastigen Erscheinungsbild treu. Ihre Colas wachsen eher länglich und speerförmig heran und wirken deutlich unruhiger aufgebaut als die der beiden Konkurrentinnen. Die Fruit Bomb Punch ist sozusagen der Struwwelpeter im Feld und zeigt am deutlichsten, dass sie ordentlich frühstückt. Als größte Verbraucherin im Grow hinterlassen die ständig wechselnden Bedingungen bei ihr auch die sichtbarsten Spuren. Trotzdem arbeitet sie unbeirrt weiter an ihren XXL-Buds und legt Woche für Woche an Blütenmasse zu. Die Strawberry AK bleibt der ruhige Vermittler zwischen den Extremen und zieht ihr Programm ohne großes Drama durch. Sie entwickelt ihre Blüten kontinuierlich weiter und hält sich dabei angenehm aus jeder Diskussion heraus. Die Chicken & Waffles hingegen steht weiterhin tiefgrün im Zelt und wirkt, als würde sie sich über das ganze Klima-Chaos der letzten Woche eher amüsieren. Frech grinst sie in die Kamera, als hätte sie von all den Schwankungen überhaupt nichts mitbekommen. Während die anderen beiden hier und da kleine Spuren der wechselnden Bedingungen zeigen, macht sie einfach stoisch ihr Ding und sieht dabei aus, als wäre alles exakt nach Plan gelaufen. 😄?🌱 Auch beim Klima gibt es Neuigkeiten: Der lange erwartete Luftentfeuchter ist endlich angekommen und wurde direkt ins Setup integriert. Nach den feuchten Wochen zuletzt war es höchste Zeit für Verstärkung. Ob er am Ende der erhoffte Gamechanger wird, muss sich allerdings erst noch zeigen. Für den Moment heißt es beobachten, Daten sammeln und schauen, was der neue Mitspieler im Team tatsächlich leisten kann. Auch wenn die Bedingungen zuletzt nicht immer ideal waren, stehen die drei Damen insgesamt besser da, als man es nach einer Woche Wetter-Achterbahn erwarten würde. Die Buds stacken weiter, die Harzproduktion nimmt sichtbar zu und beim Öffnen des Zelts wird man inzwischen von einer ordentlichen Terpen-Wand begrüßt. 🍓💥?🌱 Day 88 | 🌸 Flower Day 44 Three Plants, Three Personalities While Strawberry AK and Chicken & Waffles continue to develop increasingly compact flower structures, Fruit Bomb Punch remains true to her more sativa-leaning appearance. Her colas are growing longer and more spear-shaped, appearing noticeably less uniform than those of her two competitors. Fruit Bomb Punch is somewhat the wild child of the field and makes it most obvious that she enjoys a hearty breakfast. As the hungriest plant in the grow, she also carries the most visible marks of the constantly changing conditions. Nevertheless, she keeps pushing forward, working relentlessly on her XXL buds and adding more flower mass week after week. Strawberry AK remains the calm mediator between the extremes. She quietly goes about her business, steadily developing her flowers without creating much drama along the way. Chicken & Waffles, on the other hand, is still standing deep green in the tent and looks as if she's rather amused by all the climate chaos of the past week. She keeps grinning cheekily at the camera as though she hasn't noticed any of the fluctuations at all. While the other two occasionally show small signs of the changing conditions, she simply carries on as if everything is going exactly according to plan. 😄?🌱 There is also some news on the environmental front: the long-awaited dehumidifier has finally arrived and has been integrated into the setup. After the persistently humid weeks, reinforcements were long overdue. Whether it will turn out to be the game changer I'm hoping for remains to be seen. For now, it's time to observe, collect data and see what the newest member of the team can actually bring to the table. Even though conditions haven't always been ideal lately, all three ladies are looking better than one might expect after a week of weather-related ups and downs. The buds keep stacking, resin production is visibly increasing, and opening the tent now comes with a proper wall of terpenes. 🍓💥?🌱
