It has been another amazing week of the plants growing. I have been watching as the Fruity Freak leaves become progressively more fern-like, and ornamental as a result! Based on my Banizzle grows, I knew I needed to understand plant nutrients in a more meaningful way if I wanted these plants to thrive. So, I decided to get a soil test (see Ref. 1 below on how to perform a test) to understand what nutrients my plants needed. The report I received advised that I needed to add 200 lbs/acre of nitrogen, 150 lbs/acre of phosphorus, and 190 lbs/acre of potassium (see picture labeled Pic.1 (FYI you can't see these images unless you login to growdiaries)). I then researched what to do with my results (Ref. 2 helped), and I figured out that my nutrient needs of 200-150-190 fall close to a 2-1-2 ratio. I then looked at different types of organic fertilizers (see Ref. 3 and Ref. 4) and considered that I already had a 3-10-5 fertilizer (Vermibloom) on hand. I discovered Dr Earth’s Alfalfa Meal is 2-1-2 and includes beneficial bacteria and mycorrhizae (to promote healthy plant growth and disease resistance). However, I knew I would be low on nitrogen if I only used those two fertilizers. Therefore, I decided to buy some blood meal (12-0-0). I also liked that blood meal is more fast acting while the other two are more moderate. I hunted around for a solid fertilizer calculator and found an amazing tool from the University of Georgia Extension (Ref. 5). I entered all three fertilizers into the calculator, and it kicked out the exact amount of each fertilizer I needed to apply to 1 square foot (see Pic. 2). As I am using 10-gallon fabric pots (that can hold 1.5 cubic feet, but I put stone on the bottom and there’s space left at the top) I decided to use the one square foot application rate as I can always add more later, but I can’t take it away. Not only did I want to understand the nutrients I needed, but I also wanted to understand the structure of the soil (as it was not included in my test results). North Dakota State University has a nice page that discusses this (Ref. 6), and I performed a soil ribbon test (see Video 1) based on this information. I determined my soil to be medium textured (which is great), but I have seen occasional water pooling on the surface, suggesting that it may be more of a medium-fine. This means adding peat moss, coco coir, or other amendments might improve drainage (and plant hydration) and allow for roots to grow more easily. In the long run, I plan to use compost to enhance the soil structure and nutrients. I filled the bottom of my 10-gallon fabric pots with a ½” of pea stone to allow for drainage (Pic. 3). I then partially filled two 5-gallon buckets with topsoil from near where I will plant (but not in an area the roots will reach). I used a digital scale to measure the amount of fertilizers recommended by the calculator (Pic. 4, 5, and 6) and added it to one of the 5-gallon buckets (see Pic. 7). I mixed the fertilizers into the soil as evenly as possible (Pic. 8 and 9). I then poured a two-inch layer of non-fertilized soil, then peat moss, and then fertilized soil (in a roughly 2:1:1 ratio) and blended them together. I repeated this until the pot was full (getting additional soil as needed), and then I repeated the process for the other three pots. I set the filled fabric pots in my garage (Pic. 10) for two days to allow any upset bugs to flee into my garage instead of my house. I then moved the pots (wrapping them in a contractor garbage bag to prevent making a mess) into the room with the grow light. I placed a board on top of the fabric pots to insulate the plants (in their smaller pots) from the cold soil (Pic. 11). Once the soil in the fabric pots reaches room temperature, I will transplant. (Ref. 1) This video shows the method I used to take a soil sample. I didn’t have a field to test, so I took four samples from the area where I will eventually plant outdoors and blended them together. I then mailed my soil sample off to the lab, and about a week later, I received an email with a PDF of my results (included with my pictures this week). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9AwxmFxBwg&t=8s (Ref. 2) This video from the University of Minnesota Extension (many universities have agriculture extensions that can assist you with soil testing and growing information for your area) discusses what to do with your soil testing results: https://youtu.be/HYrkcfE62Pg (Ref. 3) This is a nice article that discusses organic fertilizer solutions: https://www.grow-it-organically.com/npk-fertilizer.html (Ref. 4) This article lists the NPK values of many organic fertilizer solutions: https://www.epicgardening.com/organic-fertilizers/ (Ref. 5) Many websites tout a fertilizer calculator…but this one is hands down the best I have found. If you scroll down to the bottom, you can enter any fertilizer type you want (and the cost, if you want). It will give you the exact blend of multiple fertilizers to solve your nutrient deficiencies (I included a snapshot of the solution I used in my pictures). https://aesl.ces.uga.edu/soil/fertcalc/ (Ref. 6) This is an excellent article that discusses how to evaluate your soil: https://www.ndsu.edu/agriculture/extension/publications/evaluating-preparing-and-amending-lawn-and-garden-soil

Plants are doing well, The 84" inch tent is a must if your not training or topping. I removed all the sacks that appeared last week and I haven't seen anymore show up so fingers cross, I check daily. Bigger tent also helps with heat control as the air has more room to rise. Hope you all like the pictures, I started to take videos as they provide more detail with less work.

This week the Chicken n' Wafflez continued to bulk up steadily. Buds gained noticeable size and density while resin production increased across the entire plant. The sugar leaves are now heavily coated in trichomes, giving the flowers a very frosty appearance. Environment: 25-26°C • ~60% RH 🌡️ Feeding: Water, CalMag & 1x Orgatrex The aroma became more complex this week. Alongside the sweet fruity and jam-like notes, a more herbal and spicy character started to emerge, adding extra depth to the terpene profile. 🍓🌿 Water consumption remained stable throughout the week and the plant showed no signs of stress. The foliage stayed healthy and green while the flowers continued stacking along the main cola and side branches. Feeding was kept simple with plain water, CalMag and one application of Orgatrex. 💧 Overall, this week felt like a transition into the final stages of flower development. Buds are swelling nicely, resin production is ramping up, and the terpene profile is becoming richer with every passing day. ❄️🔥

It's time to harvest the crops, today was the day of the first Green Crack F1 Hybrid Automatic by Zamnesia. ** Remember that for all strains we have at least two plants, one left to grow straight and one worked with the techniques. Technique Used // In this case we see the plant worked with the MAINLINING technique: we waited for the third internode and did TOPPING (you can also do it at the second to lengthen the vegetative phase in autoflowering plants, it's better); from this topping a MAINFOLDING was carried out by cleaning everything that was underneath in the underlying internodes and leaving only the two mini branches growing as a result of the first topping, the Mainfold precisely. We stole the two branches with the arches up to the third internode of each respective branch and we did TOPPING once again, from here the plant was left to grow directing it with LST as best we could. Better with the techniques or normal? It is a plant with a medium-low distance between internodes, this technique is not recommended, the plant is not very big but it has produced well anyway, let's wait to compare the results with the one without techniques but it is very big, the other one, in this case I tend towards the straight solution. Look instead at the Ghost Train Haze for example which has a wide distance between internodes, what did it do to me... immense. Flower quality // The plant has resined very well anyway, there is a very mellow smell, I think sweet/strawberries, I have to go deeper, the consistency is exceptional, I washed the buds as recommended on Zamnesia, do not underestimate this practice, I who look at the plants in , acre give away a lot of hair and a lot of waste of other nature, washing makes your grass better and more competitive even for contests and cups. Check the article in your language // https://www.zamnesia.io/it/guida-coltivare-cannabis/333-lavaggio-delle-ceme Feertilizers// I am very happy with how I managed to unload the plant that at a certain point before going flush was fed a few days only with additives and then went flush and we are discolored sufficiency. All the fertilizers and additives of Plagron in the green version / 100% organic have fully satisfied me. Choose your soil based on your style and calculate the sheet on the site www.plagron.com You can instead find the fertilizers in convenient all-inclusive packs on the Zamnesia site. Try a seed of this strain that drives us crazy.. ---- https://www.zamnesia.io/en/10677-zamnesia-seeds-green-crack-f1-automatic.html Zamnesia Description // Forget what you think you know about cannabis. Green Crack F1 Automatic by Zamnesia Seeds is here to shake up the entire industry. Using F1 genetics, growing cannabis has never been easier. These plants offer uniform and abundant yields. Get ready to harvest high-quality buds, full of flavor and amazing effects. Music and Frequencies // For about 4/6 hours a day my plants listen to 432Hz frequencies made especially for their well-being and sometimes a bit of black music to give them those vibrations that only music can give. www.radionula.com All the best that mother nature has to offer is at ---- www.zamnesia.com

Everything looking good! I have started increasing nutrients slowly now that the plants have some size to them. PPM's are at 265 and PH is at 6.3. This solution seems to be holding pretty steady. Once I see the PPM's start to drop and not rise, I will up the nutrients to around 300. I started adding a phosphite to my solutions for root health. In turf we use phosphites to combat root diseases such as pythium so I figured it couldn't hurt to try it in this setup.

Critical Cure is still happy and putting out good growth. Fertilized with a ring of the Coast of Maine around the base and watered it in with a little lime water. Bugs are getting hungry so the plants got some neem oil spray. Heat wave going through right now. Please forgive my slurring in the video, it's been a long week and my brain is addled😜

Day 50: Feeding today with a huge shot of Ignite to finish this bloom.....Gonna start going into Overdrive more for about a week before getting ready for flush. My Hellfire OG is beautiful! The buds are so thick and the leaves are sharp. Love the way it looks and have not done much defoliation as the green cracks. With this final ignite feeding, hoping to get my bud locations on the GC. It's a tall plant and the three I have are all about the same with one a bit slow. More to come but hoping to wrap this grow up in the next months and get the Halloween Grow. A bit spooky!!! So it's about 3ish and I'm just staring @ my video feed of my babies! Getting some really huge nuggets sized buds and when I defoliate my hands are a bit sticky afterwards. Cutting some of the lower branches they ozze the carboload and I smile like Pedro'!! Day 51: was suppose to feed but kind of forgot so gonna maybe throw some voodo tab in some water and just let them drink and get some extra fat root development these last 3 weeks. On another note getting my ducks in a row for my next grow. Got a huge bag of Pro-mix HP on my doorstep this morning and my girl was like get your "shit" honey.....so holiday grow diary coming soon with all new strains!!! Day 52: Did a feed last night a few hours b4 lights out. Went with Ignite & O.D. Some of my plants are a ahead of others so figured both O.D. & Ignite. Developing crystals on the leave and making sure to cut the lower branches that are not going anywhere. Threw a picture of my cure set up along with some dealer weed. That is only a 10gram bag so trust me when I say, "this is a game changer!" Day 53: Early morning feeding and laying off the cal mag and senszym and just going with Iguana bloom, carbloader, ignite and OD along with Mikes OG, Bud Factor X. Noticing some of my plants are ahead of others so have been feeding a gallon per plant with adjusted nutrients to kind of match what my girls are doing. My Hellfires are so pretty and the leaf growth is pretty snarky. Just pointed leaves under the bud sight and the fans leave not really big so just trimming as we go. My Green Cracks are budding really nicely. The buds sights are kind of spread out but the buds are getting thicker and growing and filling the spaces. Maybe another 2 weeks before I start to flush and get ready for harvest.

Esta cosecha fue muy buena con excelentes resultados de flores muy compactas y demasiado resinosas , la genética en sí es muy resinosa con olor muy característico , con sabores terrosos muy marcados .

This week was uneventful. I fed them Monday, Wednesday and Friday with Iguana Juice Grow @ 0.5oz/gal and gave them about 1/2gal each. I gave them a light watering each day to keep the top soil moist and add a bit of humidity. 2/4 are in pots about 150gal, one is in a 100gal or so, and one is in a 5ish gallon pot. They are just cruising along, enjoying the ride. See y'all in a week!
