Welcome to week 4 For Enigma in this Seedsman Tiny & Rare pot contest. After a bad start to week 3 she recovered well. Today I have added an air hose into her pot. It's run by a 5v 1w usb pump, connected to a 5v 2w solar usb panel. Using this I have been able to test the effectiveness of the light at different angles and ranges. The pump runs at full power within 30cm of the light. From there it slows rapidly down to 70 where it stops completely. I need a better light. Day 23: I have reconfigured the tent. I replaced the solar panel with a plug as I need the air to run when light is off too. My idea here is that if you can DWC with airstones, maybe if I blow air to her roots she can handle being in a saturated medium, thus allowing me to ensure she always has nutrition available. If it works as I hope, I may be able to have her exceed the size she might otherwise achieve in this pot. I have refilled the pot with fertigate every time the bubbles stop. There is no way its evaporating this fast. She has now been totally saturated for at least the last 6 hours and no drooping. Day 24: Been a bit lazy topping up her liquid but I'm confident the air pump is working as intended. Day 25: Enigma is on day 2 of a little dry-out experiment. Day 25.5 Enigma was wilting, so I fertigated her until the pot was full and then topped her up again twice. Day 26: Drowned her. Whoops. Day 27: Let her get too dry. Whoops. This is not easy. Day 28: End of week 4. Enigma suffering. It's difficult to get a balance between sufficient nutes and moisture levels.

Growth Status & Observations 🌱 These little mutants are showing some funky characteristics and growing at their own unique pace—a perfect reminder that no two plants are the same! Each seedling has sprouted its initial set of leaves, and I’m seeing great promise in their vigor and resilience. Key Observations: • Color: The seedlings are a healthy green, with some displaying slight variances in shade—typical of unique genetics like Mentha de Croco. • Structure: Leaves are developing steadily, with short internodes (the space between sets of leaves) that hint at nice, compact growth patterns as they continue. • Energy: Each plant seems to be finding its rhythm, which is a beautiful thing to watch! Some are taking their time, while others are diving right into rapid growth. Nutrients & Supplements 💧 For this first week, I’m keeping it light on nutrients, letting the seedlings draw what they need from the Root Riots and the remaining seed stores. However, I’ve continued using Aptus Holland’s Regulator and Startbooster, both at 1ml/L, to support foundational growth. Why These Nutrients? • Aptus Regulator: Adds silicon to fortify cell walls, giving the seedlings extra strength to handle environmental changes. for this grow i am not using any techniques, just growing.

Not as many photos these past few weeks because this and harvest are the most non-eventful. However, I can add that this variety of cannabis is EXTREMELY robust and vibrant despite light, nutrient and medium constraints! I get why growth is slowing; I've introduced far-red for EOD and BOD 15 minute regiments and I'm slowly decreasing light lengths instead of flipping(I don't want to stress out other plants in room). This is fine with me as not only this plant outgrown its area horizontally, I have roughly 20% vertical space remaining which should work out with flowering stretch. I didn't want to put flowering in this weeks journal despite obvious maturity(pistils are kool-aide red), the transition is slow but the past 3 days have been slow-er than past month. Lots of very lime green new growth which I've associated with a tad bit of light bleaching but actual leaves themselves show no signs of anything, I go back to when this plant was weeks old...it was very lime green then too so Boron, Molybdenum and Magnesium issues are out of the window. Same with iron. This plant is just fine but could use some UVa baths to pull out those phenotypical traits, a couple more days and my custom built board will be added to this room for 6hr increments. Otherwise, all is good. I could transplant but it's not showing it's rootbound. I could also raise my lights, I probably will tonight even though I've grown other plants 1" away with zero burn(around the led edges). I also have been feeding with McCormick(must be an old-school midwest thing) Strawberry Extract and as usual been seeing the plant respond, especially with "oops, too much" moments when using the blackstrap molasses! This micro area has a very humid(despite 45%Rh), dank, floral smell and when doing the rub test; this plant has a very fruity pungency to it. I like using molasses all the way through as when buds are harvested are much more dense, stay humid longer and have much more sugary kief. Rambling. Next week will have the 365nm UV, the results will blow your mind! Until then. Couldn't figure out the extreme lime green new growth despite almost perfect growing conditions all around, concluded light bleaching but never thought N or Iron deficiency. After transplanting, roots were pearl white, no rotting spots and very little soil showing. Good thing I amended heavily with 5-3-3 and 4-15-12 dry amendments and that blood meal I bought weeks back...3 days later the darker green is coming back! Lots of growth and it has a very distinct strawberry candy aromas when watered and when surrounding air is humid. I have also stopped using my 150w ceramic heater, temps hover 76°F to 80°F day and stay constant 66-68° nights. This plant has almost ideal growing conditions and you can see it's now focusing energy to forming sturdy bud sites. 2 more weeks until full blown flower 12/12 cycle but I cannot wait for this heatsink to get here for this UV light I've sourced. D120. We have arrived at the twelfth and final week of this grow. Twelve weeks of flower is plenty, and the trichomes are starting to mature. In any case, I soon need to move the light into another tent, so chop day is almost here no matter what. ------------------------------ D121. I was going to wait a while longer, but today, I said fuck it and chopped the girls. They are now hanging in the tent, and there's an Inkbird controller connected to a humidifier and dehumidifier, keeping the humidity at 60%.
