The grow was good, we messed up a few times such as cutting one of the bud sites of Plant A when training but it ended up healing, and cutting off completely the main bud of Plant R which made it produce a lot of trichomes probably to try to survive. We struggled in the beginning with humidity because we did not have a humidifier but the girls were very resistant to the heat and low humidity and their growth was not stunted. I was surprised by how small their roots were in the end which is maybe why they were both quite small. Other than that it was quite easy to grow them and the end result was good so very happy with the grow!

More training. And patience for plants to reach the scrog before flipping

Sat 7/8: - Transplanted a runted Purple Lemonade auto into a small plastic pot (1/2 litre), from 3 gal fabric pot. Put it back in the veg tent where there is more room. It is wasting space in the flowering tent. Suspect over watering early on as issue. - Shifted a Grapefruit auto from the veg tent to the flowering tent to replace the Purple Lemonade. A little early, so it is on a pedestal to reach the canopy. - Planted a Fastberry and a Gorilla Cookie auto. - Harvested 20g wet from the CBD20:1 (8w). Sun 8/8: - Changed light cycle from 18/6 to 20/4. - Fed plants, varying mixture by plant age. CBD20:1 is now only on water at every feed. - Tied main stem down on Grapefruit auto (3w). - Set up endoscope camera to capture the Grapefruit response to LST. - Continued lollipopping Strawberry Pie (5w) and Kosher Cake(4w). Tues 10/8: - both the Gorilla Cookie and the Fastberry seeds popped. I’ve put them under icecream containers in the veg tent so they don’t dry out too quickly. Wed 11/8: - Small targeted watering with no feed. Thurs 12/8: - feed plants that needed to be watered. Sat 14/8: - Harvested the remaining CBD20:1 at 9 weeks, 73g wet - Harvested undersized Lemon Pie at 8 weeks, 26g wet. - Planted a Gelato auto and a Wedding Cheesecake auto from Fast Buds. Last week was very challenging, two girls got really tall below the white light, while the other two below the blurple spectrum ended up being smaller and bushier, both looking fantastic. Last week I also probably went too far defoliating the shaded smaller girl which stunned it a bit for a day or two but its flowering vigorously again. Although the unexpected stretch which led to uneven light coverage overally the platns are looking solid, smelly and sugary :)

It's been another easy week in the Fastbuds tent. I've spent most my energy preparing my outdoor grow space for a wild summer. At this point, there's not much I can do except water and watch my plants grow. I've added videos of other plants in relations to the mimosa cake just for visual aid. I also added a photo of my cheese auto.. it's still drying! With the Mimosa cake auto I've been taking fan leaves off slowly for weeks now. This is a very busy plant. She is also going to run later than I expected. She's on day 76 and I suspect 95 to 100 days to finish time. I'll have to keel feeding her bloom nutes for the next few weeks; her 3 gallon bucket ran out of nutrients already. Feeding schedule: water, feed, water, feed Step 1- I'll take an aeration stone and use it to remove the chlorine residual in the water... this only takes 8 - 12 hours depending on water temperature. (I'm a water treatment process operator, I have checked several times in the past with my own Cl2 meters). Step 2 - add Calmag Step 3- add bloom nutes Final step - pH the water accordingly (very important that this is final step) A TDS residual of 500 ppm equals roughly 1 E.C. (I just double it)

Everything is now in its final setup, with the plants already in 7-liter containers. The lighting was first kept at a greater distance and later brought closer, always running at 20% output. We’re ready to begin.

Transplants been done into final containers(20l)and started LST.They doing really well,they've started sexing so I reckon from next week I'd say week 1 flower.Havent fully saturated the medium as yet with fertigation ,want that stem thicker before I do that. The time is finally here to post the harvest. I waited till it was all done and dry before updating the dairy so will add in the dry weights next on the 2nd half of the harvest entry. Had some ups and downs with this plant. mainly the extreme yellowing that was happening. I should have treated this faster with a flush but was super reluctant and I feel this has suffered in the end. The top best looking buds could have been larger and the lower ones could have been thicker. There is some smells with this plant but they are not pronounced. Just smells like mild basic weed, this would be one reason not to grow it, however, the crystals on this plant have been the most I've ever grown before. When trimming them every time the scissors snipped or the brush stroked I saw some falling down onto the tray. This plant would be great for making hash. had a good little ball of finger hash at the end of it and will be giving that to my friends to smoke or make a strong edible with. I don't plan on growing this strain out again, the lack of smells and the fact I'm only trying to grow cbd dominate plants is the main reason. If my friends really like this I have some clones so can always give them some. Speaking of clones they are doing well outside, greened up a lot and showing signs of revegging. Took some photos of the weed hang drying on day 1 in the tent and a week later to show how much they shrink. most of the lower growth is quite larfy but will make good edibles or hash, that will be a fun project to do and may include that in my projects diary. I converted the cents into dollar amounts beforehand to avoid dividing by 100. 8.2c/h = 0.082$/h 438h * 0.17c/kwh = $74.46kw * 0.15kw = $11.17 on peak 522h * 0.113c/kwh = $58.99kw *0.15kw = $8.85 mid peak 1,272h * 0.082c/kwh = $104.30kw *0.15kw = $15.65 off peak The "h" hours and "kw" kilowatts cancel out and we are left with a value of $ dollars per peak period, add all the peak periods up and you get your total cost of running the lights in dollars. $11.17 + $8.85 + $15.65 = $35.67 for the grow light only. My light grew for 20 weeks and 4 days, or 144 days. almost 21 weeks total. $35.67 / 144d = 0.2477$/d average of about 25c a day in electricity 337.2kw for the entire grow. Using the regular calculation of grams harvested divided by watts used is not accurate to me, it does not account for all the time the lamps are on, the length of grow to the over all cost. The calculation that makes sense to me is this, harvested dry weight of usable cannabis buds/trim/keif/whatever in grams divided by total kw used. Could also combine it with grams per total single use costs “anything you used only for this grow and wont reuse in the next, or fractions of multi use items like fertilizers if they ½ full” and see how much you’re investing per gram. "kw" ÷ "g" = kw/g "$" ÷ "g" = $/g I have harvested 5.34oz or 151.6g on 337.2kw. 337.2kw ÷151.6g = 2.22 kw/g of usable cannabis. This is not an ideal ratio for me and looks like a lot of energy waste happened from the extended veg period. $35.67 ÷ 151.6g = 0.24c/g It cost 24c/g when comparing total electricity cost to gross yield, almost identical to the comparison of total electrical cost to the number of days in the grow 25c/day.
