Week 5 flower is progressing well. bud sites are getting bigger with more pistils and trichs on leaves everyday. This will not be a 8 week strain I'm thinking 10 but will calibrate if necessary to get the full potential of this genetic as I can see she is a special one already!

During week 9 the flowering continued nicely and all plants developed nice flower crowns. Unfortunately I spotted some brown pistils on some plants and at this stage that only can mean they have been inseminated by pollen. Since I have no male plants around I thoroughly inspect the nodes of all plants from bottom to top. I am searching for hidden male pollen-sacks that have grown on my female plants and sure enough I find several ripe and open pollen sacks on three plants. This means those plants ARE HERMAPHRODITES, plants that have BOTH SEXES, they are female plants that also grow male pollensacks...my ABSOLUTE HORROR! The open pollen sacks have released pollen onto the female pistils around them and this turned the pistils brown. Where those fertilized pistils are, seeds will now start to grow inside the buds of my grow. 😢 After spraying water over the plants, in order to neutralize the free pollen inside, I carefully cut off the hermie-plants on the main stem right above the soil and immediately discard them far away from my grow-tent into the trash. Since I spotted the hermies early, I hope my grow will not be fully seeded, but only have a few seeds grow in some buds here and there. My fingers are crossed! My 'CHEESE'-plant from BIG BUDDHA SEEDS has turned a little yellow and developed some dark spots on the leaves, which I attribute to the plant standing alone in a tray now. She seems to be overfed a little and getting too much water to the roots. I therefore take her out of the water for a few days, in order to let the medium dry out a little and let the roots get some air. The SANlight EVO4-120 LED-lights work like a treat. They are now running at 100% dimm-level and are hung 30 cm above the top of the plants. The BIO NOVA nutrients are still given at half strength of the recommended dose and some plants seem to be overfed...I have to keep an eye on them.

Day 92 30/09/24 Monday Feed today using de-chlorinated tap water pH 6 with calmag. She has shown drastic improvement this week with trichome development, colours deepening too a purple and pink . Pistils forming a deep 🧡, and the calyxs are forming like rose buds 🌹, tight upright curls , doused in trichomes 😍. Solid start to flower for these ladies... Starting this grow diary now and filling in as much as I can from the ~8 weeks before this point. I'll keep updating from now 'til harvest. Struggling to keep the heat down so had to rig up a styrofoam cooler "AC" I found on YouTube, like this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TpqUr6bEYOs Keeping the DIY CO2 generator running full blast while the lights are on and have some side-lighting led bars in the works that I'll have installed later this week. Drip system has been working great, dialed back the feedings so I don't overwater and can give the top layer of coco a chance to dry out a little bit. Heavy defoliation tomorrow to clean up the canopy...

As you can see, my leafs don't look really healthy. It's either the fact that the soil was too wet for a couple of days cause my friends took care of it when I was away or it's because the humidity is so low. It's only on 36%, even though i bought an humidifier. The light was maybe too close to the plant as well in first week (30 cm I think, maybe less). I already highered the lamp to try and lower the humidity and to prevent the leaves from curling but idk if that's the solution... My first grow I never had problems with my humidity, maybe its because its colder outside now? I changed my ventilator as well, maybe that has an impact as well, but surely not that big? Any tips on: -What I should do to improve the leafs and prevent them from curling -What I should do to higher the humidity. As for nutrients, I mixed my soild with Biogrow (3g/l) when the plant was around day 3. I think this may have been too much too soon, but that's what they adviced on their site so I just went with it and afterwards I found out that you should try to wait untill your plant is a bit bigger.(I think)

Black Opium is looking very nice, healthy green colour and we are growing nicely. As she's still a little tall I have left the prop, so the stem gets to strengthen up and she won't fall over in the meantime. ~ FASTBUDS TESTER #2202 ~ Well friends, here we go on another 'canna-venture' together! The grow room has had a complete remodel and some upgrades done to it including brand spanking new 4x8 and 4x4 tents and a Trolmaster Hydro X controller along with a new Control Panel. This tester strain is one of six tester strains that FastBuds has graciously provided me with and I'm looking forward to seeing what this girl has to offer when she's grown to her full potential! One drawback of 'testers' is I have little to no information on it other than its number and that it's an autoflower... 🤪 But, it's ALWAYS a blast growing them for me because not knowing a lot allows me to just concentrate on the essentials: Light, Environment, Water, Nutrients and possibly a bit of LST... not complicated, just basics like keeping a constant temperature and RH in the tent at a level that gives a good VPD, watering when almost dry and maintaining proper light levels according to their stage of growth. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ ~THE SETUP~ ~Initially seeds were lightly scuffed, then soaked for 3 hours in 78℉ distilled water after which they were transferred to moist paper towels laid out in a Jiffy Pellet plastic starter tray with lid. Underneath the tray was placed a Vivosun Heat Mat with Controller that was set to 78℉ where they stayed until their tap roots emerged. ~Planted into Jiffy Peat Pellets that were hydrated with distilled water warmed to 78℉ with a 7.0 ph. ~Once roots emerge from the Jiffy Pellet they're transferred to their fabric pots. ~Grown 100% organic in a 4g Gronest fabric pot and a 3g fabric pot by Wraxly filled with Mother Earth 70/30 Coco/Perlite medium and initially amended with Dr. Earth 4-4-4 / Earthworm Castings / Dr. Earth Flower Girl 3-9-4 and Coast of Maine Stonington Blend Organic Plant Food 5-2-4. ~19/5 light cycle for the entire run with supplemental UVA added during flower. Lights are controlled by a Trolmaster Hydro X controller set for a 15min Sunrise/Sunset simulation. ~Top dressing every 3-4 weeks with slow release dry amendments and Earthworm castings. ~Straight water ph'd @ 6.2-6.8 when needed and bi-weekly Compost Tea's. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Weekly Updates: 2/2- Here we go Week Nine! These ladies are past the 60 day mark since breaking ground and are in the home stretch! The 2 phenotypes are about equal in flower development. Their flowers are densely stacked and have a beautiful purple and pink hue contrasted by numerous bright orange pistils that are showing. The #2 is a beast with wide spread branching and plentiful bud sites! The #1 has had her issues and is a markedly different phenotype, but she's LOADED with some absolutely phenomenal flowers! It never fails that all the plants I've grown that experienced some sort of major issue have all turned out to be stellar! I'll keep rubbing my rabbits foot! 😎 Daily watering with 0.75g of straight de-chlorinated water which is ph'd to 6.6 @ 72℉ continues as these girls stay thirsty! 2/4- Yesterday I watered today with 0.75g of straight de-chlorinated water which was ph'd to 6.6 @ 72℉. I also removed some shade leaves that had begun to yellow and checked trichomes on the #2... not yet. 🔎 2/6- This evening I put the #1 phenotype in the dark after checking her trichomes which were right where I want them at this point. She'll spend 48-72hrs in the dark with a fan on her and I'll also maintain the moisture in her pot so it doesn't dry out. I watered today, removed some shade leaves from the #2's canopy and turned her pot. The 2202 testers really look absolutely AMAZING and I can't wait to see them when they finish up! 🤩💚 2/8- Well, the #1 is hanging peacefully drying slowly at 64℉ @ 60% RH and should be ready to trim in 6-8 days +/-. The #2 is absolutely beautiful with her purple coloration getting more pronounced as she fades! I'll be putting her in the dark in the next 2-3 days to spend 48-72hrs before she gets cut and hung! 😎💚 Thank you for checking out my passion in life! Growing pretty well so far. I'm excited for this to be a good daytime strain to keep me motivated, in a good mood and hopefully not anxious. She'll be going outside so I'm strengthening her stem so she'll be able to handle outdoor stresses.

1- Everything looks good still, watered it with flowering nutrient for what may be the last time. I reduced nutrient a little but nothing drastic. Tent at 26°C and HR at 48% today. I untied the branches at the bottom hoping they’ll straighten up towards the light and give those bud sites more light. 2- Decided to do a light trimming but got carried away with them scissors. Turn into pretty much removing all the fan leaves. Good thing she’s almost done. Tent 20.5°C and 43% RH 6- Been away for the last 4 days and she is looking pretty good. Buds are still fattening up. Watered with half nutrients as she seems to have some slight burn marks at the tip of the leaves. Tent 22°C and RH 41%
