Do you see that SWAMPMONSTER in the corner of the tent there ?? The Queen towers above the canopy and the rest of the plants lol. It's really interesting from using the Smart Proteins, i think how they work is that the plant is able to process them and compensate any kind of slight deficiency which means that each plant that gets the proteins is able to grow to it's maximum potential and at the same time grow to its **individual** potential... that's why each of these plants has so much "character", because if you look closely it's less a question of phenotype but more like "individual expression".... INTERESTING !!! Anyway that's about the visual... my main concern about these is how loud they f-ing smell !!! ITS PROBLEMATIC, so be conscious of that if you plant to grow these one day ! REALLY REALLY LOUD, honestly there should be an additional category on GD like "problematic" which is beyond the "strong smell" category. I have two large carbon filters on two 1330m3/h fans and it's a problem. Hope you understand how unusual that is for a plant in veg lol... I think the smart protein probably affects how strong the plants smell because all the plants seem more smelly than expected... TBH i'll fix the smell issue but hopefully it's a good sign and an indicator of the quality i can expect by harvest time? These also got two rounds of defoliation , and i flipped them to flower like 4 days ago. This was an exciting veg to me, but now is when it gets interesting, let's see how beautiful these flowers are !! Test genetics always have that little bit of mystery to them right? Chopped the first one 6.9 and the second one 6.13. The both smell strong of musky fruit but one has a more spicier scent than the other. I will update the harvest when I get final weights and smoke this shit

Hello growmies! Welcome to week four of An Epsilon Adventure! The girls are already transitioning into flower, I will get some photos of that later in the week. Daily Updates: ### Week 4 Day 1 11:00 16/7 Removed some lower growth. ### Week 4 Day 2 23:00 17/7 Tallest plants were showing signs of heat stress so I have raised the light about 30cm more. Unfortunately this now means the lower plants aren't getting as much light as they could, so I have put the cycle back to 20h (I may even increase it). ### Week 4 Day 3 14:00 18/7 Photographed. ### Week 4 Day 3 19:00 18/7 Fertigated 2l. Okay these girls are now starting to concern me a little on the basis that they are supposed to grow to "50-70cm". At just over 3 weeks old the shortest of these girls is 53cm, the tallest (plant 3) is now 76cm tall. The worrying thing is they do not at all look like they are slowing down and as they are just pre-flowering now, the flowering stretch hasn't even started. So I need some genuine advice here now: Do I keep the faith and hope that they don't exceed the space I have? Do I top or super crop them now? These ladies are beastly, at the end of the week I am going to take some individual videos and more photos to really try and capture how magnificently well these girls are doing. I think I may be in the process of growing the biggest Epsilon F1's so far? Exciting to find out! ### Week 4 Day 4 21:00 19/7 James has assured me they wont go much more than 85 so I am not going to mess with them. They are due a defoliation at the end of this week though. Measured each plant as follows: Plant 1: 81cm Plant 2: 75cm Plant 3: 80cm Plant 4: 67cm Plant 5: 59cm Plant 6: 58cm Might photograph later or leave until tomorrow. ### Week 4 Day 5 10:00 20/7 Photographed and measured. Plant 1: 85cm Plant 2: 79cm Plant 3: 81cm Plant 4: 71cm Plant 5: 63cm Plant 6: 63cm So they've all grown about 4cm in about 13 hours, except plant 3 - which seems to have slowed down a lot. The top of plant 3 is also the most advanced looking in terms of pistils. I forgot to take close ups of the preflowers I will do that tomorrow. I have had to raise the light again today and it is now much further away than the younger plants than I would like. So I am thinking about adding a 300w LED into my 4x4. I have another 3 inches I can raise the light on the hangers, after that I can removed the adjustable handers and tie it to the top of the tent... that'll gain me another 4 or 5 inches. If I need to go higher my only option would be to set them up without the tent which is not an option right now. Hopefully they all just stop getting taller now and focus on flowering... but my gut tells me there's more growth to come. Watch this space! ### Week 4 Day 6 15:00 21/7 Measured. This strain averages 50-70cm in height. We have six plants here and every one of them is taller than the average... but would you just look at plant 1? She is a giant! 102cm!! Where will she stop? Next week will see the full transition to flower and we will start to see the bud sites developing. I have no idea at this point what the heights will look like at the end of next week. So I found some powdery mildew on some lower growth so I have moved this little lady outside as I don’t want her infecting my other greenhouse plants. I will stay on top of things with OMRI fungicide and have no doubt that I will get her to harvest as she appears to be getting close. She is really stacking on bud size now. I will be watching trics going forward now and can’t wait for harvest. 😎🍿🍻🌱

Der neue Chiller ist ein echter Wendepunkt für meinen Anbau! Er hat einen signifikanten Unterschied sowohl bei der Wassertemperatur als auch bei der pH-Stabilität gemacht. Ich habe einen 15-Liter-Wasserwechsel durchgeführt und die alte Lösung durch frisches Wasser und Nährstoffe ersetzt. Der pH-Wert ist jetzt stabil zwischen 6,1 und 6,3, und der EC-Wert liegt konstant bei 1,95. Ich bin wirklich zufrieden damit, wie gut sich die Blüten bilden. Die Pflanze selbst ist sehr kompakt geblieben, was großartig ist. Ich freue mich darauf, den weiteren Fortschritt zu sehen!

Day 63: Well what can I tell you for this week... Things gone alright, I didn't gave them much water since they already had lots of it before I came back from vacation lol. - One plant has been slightly overfed, no burnt tips but the leafs are dark green and some leafs only have like 3 tips. I'm not sure how to explain in into english but oke plants have 5, good ones have 7 and the best have 9 per leaf. - One plant(p2) is light green but the way the buds develop are normal so I'm happy about it, it still has potentional. - One plant(p1) already has mature buds but those buds are really small. - Two plants are flowering fine and still have potentional. Overal it goes alright, not perfect not bad. It has been a bad summer since the start. I'm fine with it because I had many years of good summers and harvests. Instead of acting spoiled I stay humble. I do believe it will be a good tasty smoke because the amounts of thc is insane, yet the total yield will be small. In my opinion one plant will be ready at the end of the next week, the other plants need like 2-3 weeks from this point. Until next week!

Have developed spider mites again! Not that big of a deal,as I have already treated with 86 liberally, and will continue to do so. However, I am extremely curious as to why they have not mingled on over to my dwc. The 2 grows are the same strain, everything is the same, except media. Any ideas on why just the one plant?

In week 10 all remaining plants developed well, they have a healthy green color and grow copious amounts of new flowers every day. The trichome production has been going strong as well, therefore the plants start to smell stronger than before. The BLUE-MINT plant from Mountain High Seeds is going strong... she grows so many trichomes it has started to build so called RESIN RAILS on the fan-leaves...so AWESOME to see! 😍 The tallest plant is the Strawberry Sour-Diesel from OriginalDevilHarvest-Seeds. Even after being supper-cropped she grows taller every day! She also developes FAT and DANK buds on all branches with a HUGE AMOUNT of trichomes. The smell of this plant is VERY LEMONY, its so fruity and mouthwatering, I cant wait for her to be finished. The Serious Happiness from Serious Seeds does well, she also has big buds with lots of trichomes. The SNEEZE from Cnnbs.nl and Seedstockers is doing GREAT! She has a tremendous amount of trichomes on her buds, and has fat colas on all sidebranches. The nutrients from BIO NOVA work VERY WELL...all plants are doing GREAT. At this stage of flowering the SANlight EVO4-120 LEDs are dimmed to 100% and hang at 30 cm distance of the top of the plants. My genetic treasures LOVE the intensity and spectrum of those LEDs as you can see in the pics. Unfortunately I spot some traces on my leaves and discover some THRIPS on the backside of my fan-leaves. This insects eat away on the plant-sap and can decrease your harvest, if the infestation gets too much. Therefore I immediately order some bags with predator insects against THRPS from KOPPERT and hang them on each plant. These predators are the natural enemies and will eat the THRIPS from my plants.

Still too early in the week to call it fully in bloom yet, little branches really started poking out after I tied down the 2 biggest fan leaves. I have been watering in small amounts but more often, using the soil weight and topsoil to judge. The smell has started coming in the last 2 days of week 4, skunky right off the bat. Noticed some nice little pistols poking about in bud sites! Update:D4/wk5 Bud sites are really starting to see expand, trying to keep the big fan leaves out of the way when possible. Going to start adding fox farms big bloom into the watering schedule starting D6/wk5.

Week 20 of veg! Final few hours untill 12/12, I honestly have no idea what to expect in the next few weeks with this , the plants been topped numerous times, branches all set out nicely, slight bit of defoliation untill I can see where the main bud sites are.

This is the final week of the 2 week flush. The fade is strong and the buds are thick and sticky. Can't wait to harvest next week. Cure is always tough when they look so tasty.

SUMMARY: - overall everything went smooth but I overcompensated the LED height, I started too high (lack of extension cords), then I dropped them too low, ultimately burning the second set of "starter" leaves (after the cotyledon set). I didn't get the humidifier and climate to synergize in the way I liked either, but it went well overall. nov. 11 12:00 - third seed has still not been able to germinate, resorting to emergency soak in glass of bottled flat water 15:00 - seed taken out of glass back in damp paper towel nov.12 23:00 - put humidifier inside tent set to 95% but rH never got to 60% according to AC infinity's humidistat in between both smart pots at soil level - lowered lights from 30inch to floor to 20inch to floor - soil is 3.5" from floor - seedling canopy is 1.5" tall nov. 13 - 15:00 Grow tent climate stabilizing with the humidifier helping keep the rH between 50-60%, which is about 10% higher than before. - note: humidifier is set to max 95% rH on its setting, claims the rH is high around 80% but the AC humidistat right at the canopy claims it is closer to 50%. - Keeping the AC Infinity CLOUDLINE T6 controller set on 24/7 only on setting 2 - note: must be careful with the S6 active intake, as the ducting can drastically drop the cfm coming in, resulting in a rapidly increasing negative pressure which if left uncheck could force the tent to cave severely. It was very important to watch immediately when changing the inline fans speeds, and the ducting positioning to ensure a stable and safe pressure exists. - Temperature stable around 78F during 18H of LED light - soil is slowly drying up, its still significantly heavier than the empty pot, not quite moist so will have to see about watering, still trying to get those roots to work for it and avoid overwatering. - Turned on 6" mini fans to get the lanky stalks to dance a bit and strengthen, fans are about 2 feet away at 45 angle set on "normal" power nov. 14 19:00 - humidifier is able to get the tent to a low rH of around 60%+ nov. 15 14:00 - one hour after turning on lights without humidifier on and the rH drops from 53% (as it levels out to when lights are off for 8H) down to 40%. Nov. 16 17:00 - seedlings looking a little sad and in need of some water - the younger seedling’s leaves are starting to twist a little bit (like a propeller), this could potentially be from the mini fans moving them around. - gave both plants 3x waterings of 50ml each, over the course of 5 mins. Watered until run-off, soil was extremely light and dry as to encourage greater root growth. Water was measured at 6.92 and the run-off is measured at 7.21 for the younger smaller seedling but 8.14 for the larger older. Nov. 17 14:00 - seedlings had to sit in the room just under normal room lights as grow tent was set into final position and hooked up to the new ventilation going out of the house. - some potential concerns with the air exchange “leaking” cold air back into the tent - the concern is that the grow room sits around 70-74 during the warmest possible times - whereas, during the coldest possible times it is possible for the grow room to drop to 63, which is the lowest temp just outside of the danger zone - - 22:00 right now the fan settings are synchronized on 4 and humidifier set to 80% - it appears as if this setting will hold the rH around 60-70% and the temperature around 70-74F - grow room temp: 74 - humidifier: rH 78% - set to 80% - Older seedling getting some discoloured around the tips and a little bit of a brown tip - likely lowered LED too long, but they were out of the grow tent a few hours , so not worried at all and expect full recovery in 48 hours - Lights now 27 inch from the floor / 23 from canopy Specifications:😎👇 Seeds: - 2x White Widow feminized seeds from Crop King Seed Tent: - 4x4x6 Mammoth Grow tent LED: - 2x Spider Farmer SF1000 LED (default 100 watt draw for seedling but will be bumped up to 125 Watt for flowering if not sooner) Pots: - 2x 0.5 L starter pots - 2x 5 gal smart pots after transplant Soil: - Pro-mix containing mycorrhizae and perlite, used for starter pots and mixed at roughly 1:3 ratio with Ocean Forest - Fox Farm Ocean Forest soil, used in the 5 gallon pots and mixed with roughly 3:1 ratio with pro-mix - note: pro mix was mixed thoroughly with ocean forest in the 5 gal pot, then pro-mix was used on the top layer, in and around where the transplant will be to help the early veg stage avoid getting too "hot" via nutrients.
