Week 12 Update: Solo Tent, Heatwaves, & GG Curing! Hey everyone! I almost completely missed the Week 12 with all the excitement going on, and I also forgot to snap photos this week, so I'm dropping a video instead to show you the current state of the tent. Here is what's happening: The Gorilla Glue is officially out of the tent! The chop was a success, and after navigating some tricky humidity levels during the dry, she is now safely in jars. The curing process is going perfectly with Integra Boost packs holding a steady 60% RH. I will be making a separate, detailed Harvest Post for the GG very soon with all the final weights and macro shots, so stay tuned for that! With GG gone, Crystal Candy now has the entire tent, all the airflow, and the 150W light entirely to herself. As you can see in the video, she is taking full advantage of it. She is flowering beautifully, the buds are swelling up nicely, and she is marching steadily toward her own harvest window. The biggest struggle right now is the weather. Summer is arriving early here, and the ambient temperatures are pushing my tent up to 32°C (89.6°F) during the day. I am trying my best to counteract it and cool things down, but without much success so far. Despite the heat, CC seems to be taking it like a champ. I'm keeping the fans on max to ensure massive airflow and prevent any mold issues like the minor scare I had with GG. Fingers crossed the heat doesn't cause any foxtailing. She is getting closer every day! ✌️

Back plant growing so fast, taller then the other and roots going into the water below already. Small plant up front has been going slower from the start. Slow to poke its head out and look at the light and has been behind ever since.

Really loved this. Nothing more to say for now lol, it's been my first grow and grew her with 2 wild dwarfs and loved both, would grow them again. Really excited to try it out.

🌱 Day 57 - Start of the Second-to-Last Flowering Week 🌱 Hello, Grow Friends! Today marks the start of the second-to-last flowering week—Week 9 overall, and Week 5 of flowering. 🌿 I’m getting more and more excited as my first grow nears its end. As I approach harvest, I’ve decided, based on my research, to stop feeding nutrients and stick to just pH-adjusted water for the final two weeks. 💧⚖️ Watering Routine: I’ll keep the same watering schedule—1 liter every two days, which is about 10% of the pot volume. 🌱💧 This should be enough to flush out the remaining nutrients, ensuring a clean finish for the plant. Temperature & Humidity: The temperature remains stable between 19-23°C, which I believe is ideal for this stage of the grow. 🌡️🍂 No more high temperatures to worry about! The humidity is fluctuating between 45-58%, and I’m keeping a close eye on it to stay below 60%. 💧🔍 Everything seems on track for now. 🌿 Plant Health & Growth: The plant still looks very healthy overall. 🌱💪 However, I’ve noticed that in the past three days, there haven’t been any visible changes in the size of the buds. 🤔 It could just be that I’m not seeing the growth clearly, but the only noticeable change is the daily opening of new flower calyxes. 🌸 Harvest Preparation: I’m already getting my equipment ready for drying after harvest. 🛠️ Once it’s time to cut, I’ll be hanging the plant to dry for the first 10 days. 🌿✂️ I want to make sure everything is set for a smooth drying process. Due to the trichome pictures I took on Day 61—which you can check out too—I’ve made an unexpected decision to harvest my plant a bit earlier than planned and make some changes. 🌿 Watering and Flushing: The last time I watered was on Day 61, using all the usual nutrients at the doses I mentioned before. But after seeing the trichome pictures, I decided to start a light flush today. I gave the plant 4 liters of plain water to begin flushing and will now only water lightly on Day 64. After that, no more water until harvest on Day 67. 🌑 Dark Period: From Day 66 to Day 67, I plan to keep the plant in darkness. I’m not entirely sure if this will make a difference, but I’m curious to try it out. ✂️ Defoliation: The plant is doing well, and I’ve done a thorough defoliation. I removed all leaves that aren’t sugar leaves or directly attached to the buds to improve air circulation and reduce the risk of mold as I approach the end of the grow. 💭 Trimming Decisions: I’m still undecided about whether to do a wet trim or a dry trim. Based on what I’ve read, especially regarding the yield from trim, I’m leaning towards dry trimming, as it might give me more usable trim material. I can feel the plant entering its final phase, and I’m getting really excited about the results and what the next few days will bring. Remember, I post a video update every day. Week 7 did not go too well. I believe I ran into a heat stress issue due to the lights and I also tried some new supplements to add to the res and I ended up with some type of nute lockout.....I think. Anyway, today starts week 3 of flowering and after some more research into nutrient ratios I came up with what you see above. Now I added all of this into 16 gallons of RO water (in the correct sequence) and my EC ended up a little higher than I wanted...1.4. I was looking to stay more around 1.0, but below 1.2 regardless. So I ended up adding 3 more gallons of RO water to the mix and got my numbers looking pretty descent. I was under the assumption ww was on the smaller side of the cannabis world, but this one plant, nicknamed "HULK", seems to be the exception to the rule. Hulk is now 24 inches tall....WITH LST. There is probably another 1.5 feet of branch that is basically horizontal. Well it leaves me in a predicament. I only have 22 inches of light between the 315w CMH and Hulk. The light is as high as it can go in the tent. Well I am going to keep an eye on these girls and hopefully we will see some improvement in growth. Last week pretty much stalled. Well I will check back in and let you know how it's going. Until then just keep it growing. Jan 16 update: wow, the Hulk just keeps going 😳. The runt is still giving me issues. It looks like heat stress but not from the lights. Thinking a vpd issue. Got a thermal temp gun so I am watching for that now. Also got me a wireless camera set up now. So I can check on the girls whenever and wherever I am. Love it.

So far so good, eager to have the auto flowers finish up so I can focus on the photo period. Both auto flowers are being fed full strength with big bud powder added as well. Trained the photoperiod with plenty of lst hoping to start flowering her in 2 weeks max

So I posted a update on the previous week of how the Big Bang wasn’t looking so good…Well She really continued to show signs of distress as time went on, the plant wasn’t drinking anymore, was yellowing and dropping leaves. I repotted it yesterday because when stuck my finger in😉 I got a pretty bad Oder from her, the roots didn’t look too bad but I’m no gardener (yet) I rinse them down and placed her in some fresh soil with a little extra earthworm castings mixed in. I was thinking about chopping her and just using it for a tea or something but I can’t bring myself to do it, especially since I know there isn’t any any pest or infection(because it hasn’t effected the crystal candy which it is in every close proximity to)🤷‍♂️🏾 I’m rambling now but if anyone has any suggestions I’m all ears…Well eyes, and open to criticism. My Jelly Rancher plant looks amazing. She is growing well, her leaves and stems look really good. She recovered from the transplant like nothing even happened. She also recovered very quickly from the topping. Just pretty much waiting to put her into flower as soon as I can.
