These things have been chunking up very nicely in the past 2 weeks. The only 2 plants that I grew where i have pulled 0 buds with botrytis from!! These were the most amazing strains to grow from seedling right up to end of flowering!! I am 100% going to be growing many many WICKED GENETICS strains over this winter I cannot wait so much chem and sour and kush strains going to be an amazing winter for me and my friends!!! Next entry will more than likely be HARVEST!!! ✌️⚙️💨⛽️🦄

Ne Obliviscaris. Humidity Day 40-45%, Night 60-65% Internodes are very close together. was hitting 450umol at seedling level making it absorb more than it can use, reduced to 280-300umol @18 hours as expected vertical growth increased. During the 18 hours of daylight the first 9 is highly saturated in blue, 5000 kelvin, the 9 hours thereafter are closer to 3000 kelvin. Last 9 hours dosed 280nm. Height is too far to cause damage. UVB light is not detected by plants in the same way other wavelength/colours are. UV cannot be measured using umol as it doesn't drive photosynthesis. The plant has tiny little sensors that get set off to even little amounts, dimer salt bridges, the UV decays these salt bridges, which initiate response. You don't need large/long exposure doses for the plant to recognize UV is present. What's an enzyme? Think of it like a multiplier, you can add an enzyme to any particular biological process to vastly increase its proficiency at a particular process. Cannabis plants take blue/violet light and use it to create an enzyme called "photolayse". This allows the plant to repair UV damage done to the plant using a process called excision repair, this repairs the damage at a much much faster rate than it could by itself. Repairing 100% damage. The key is the plant needs time to build a reserve of the repair enzymes before using it. This is replicated in nature as, by midday UV levels peak, the generally cooler mornings allow lifetime to build up. The problem I encountered was dosing with 280nm lights on or 1 hour after the lights were on. Photomorphogenesis, the plant plans for the future of its growth, if the wavelength is not present during growth then how can it plan accordingly? The very presence of UV changes parameters with which the plant will grow, light itself dictates the growth pattern of the plant. Not only that it can dramatically alter the regular terpene profile of a strain in unexpected ways. Gran daddy purple grown using 280nm can triple already high terpene linalool. Linalool is terpene best known for lavender, largely responsible for its beautiful smell. Trouble sleeping you say? Having tried Durban poison from a dispensary and reading about its levels of tetrahydrocannabivarin. I've always wanted to taste the difference UV would make to such an already stand-out strain such as Durban.

For the past month, the humidifier has been an issue putting out way too much humidity; often leaving water in the bottom of the tent. In addition, the temperatures are also out of control. I added an AC last week to keep the temperature below 80. I finally determined the exhaust vent is also broken and has been for some time. AC Infinity does not extend the warranty to the replacement parts. I guess that makes sense since they would be in a state of perpetual free replacements. I bought an new one from Amazon. It came with a new controller which is different from the controller 69 currently using. I decided that while it is very inconvenient and inefficient to monitor the tent throughout the day, I would rather finish this run without introducing a new unknown variable. I will continue using 3 circulating fans, the 4” exhaust vent from my 3x3. I have the AC pushing air in and the exhaust pulling air out. This creates a neutral pressure tent environment-neither positive nor negative. She continues filling out her buds and the trichs are starting to form too. Your likes and comments are appreciated. the girls have really taken off, things are going well, just trying to deal with my humidity. I do not have a dehumidifier, and the outside % is +60%....so it hard to bring it down too much. I think I may need to purchase on in the near future. Also would like to get C02 going but realize I'll need a dehumidifier first, so I went cheap and designed a C02 generator from my wine making supplies. It's producing bubbles, as you can see in the video, but not too sure how much its contributing, especially since I have the fan on for controlling the humidity. but it was fun to build

12/26-12/28/20: So I have no idea what to expect. I just hope moving the light farther away was a good idea! I've had to turn the fan on a couple of times to bring the 82F temp down and now it's creeping back down. 12/29/20: Still no growth and I can't maintain the humidity above 45%. I placed a piece of saran wrap over the pot to help it retain some water. I also moved the 1000w lamp a little farther away and I have the fan running. I also need to figure out the exhaust set up. Too daunting. 12/30/20: The cherry finally popped and I can see ole girl starting to break the surface. Adding the saran wrap helped with the moisture and this morning was the result. The temp still seems a be high (81F) and the humidity still isn't maintaining (~51%). I watered the seedling a bit and spray twice a day. It's currently back under the wrap. 1/2/21: Ole girl Salisi is growing slowly, but strong. I added a humidifier from Target to maintain the humidity between 40-60%. Temperature still lingers around 82F, but I think that's ok:🤷:. 1/4/21: Salasi is growing with purpose now! Two more days until she graduated to the big pot. I moved her inside of a nursery with vents open and gave her a full watering. RT: 82F, RH 62%. 1/9: Salasi's looking ok but I'm concerned about stem length. I just sprayed inside the nursery and a couple spritzes to the top soil. I'm concerned about thinning?
