Week 8 of flower is in the books and this show is quickly coming to an end. I said last week we had about 7-10 days and I was spot on at the 10 day mark. I was only wrong about the order. The cheese is ready to chop before the rest and the gorilla cookies, cherry Bomb and lemon haze will follow in due course. The cheese is a beast and it’ll take a little time to get it all run through the bowl trimmer. At least the big one goes first. Her tallest colas have foxtailed like mar, despite the late supercrop. You can tell where the sweet spot for the light is at about 10” distance from the canopy. Any closer than that and the tails begin to show prominently. It’s a good example of just how close you can get to these fixtures with a little bit of prior experience. It’s been noted for the next run😎👍😎. The res. is on an h2o2 only flush for the remainder until the rest are ready to come down. Not a moment too soon either - the pollen chucking project has stalled out waiting for these girls to finish and now that we’ll have a little extra room, we can start running our cuts in the aerocloner🤟. Not long at all now folks. Thanks for tagging along through all this. Learned a bunch about this system and we’re back to hardware mode to make some serious improvements for the next run🤙😎. I love hardware mode😉. Background/Repetitive Nonsense The strain line up on this grow is look’n quite saucy 😈. We’ve got 2 FB strains this time around - Gorilla Cookies (seems we always have some GSC cross in the works). Mainly because the colours look stellar and remind me of a sugar breathe we did last year that was 🔥. The other FB is their original Cheese strain... because we already smoked all our cheese... and we really like our cheese...😉. Emerald triangle was kind enough to include a freebie of Lemon Haze. Wasn’t really big on the list but we haven’t done a haze strain to write home about yet so worth a go👍. The last is a Cherry auto from Bomb seeds that we’ve been trying to get to for months. Let’s just hope that she’s not a dud like the last bean. The new digs for this run are courtesy MarsHydro👊. Their 2x4 single grow tent, paired with a shiny new 240w QB courtesy ViparSpectra. These folks were kind enough to discuss a collaboration and as a result, here we are to test out the gear with an inaugural run of autos. Each week, we’ll try to expand on some of the benefits of each, as well as any limiting factors or considerations that need attention when pondering purchase. Already I can say that both are high quality products in terms of overall craftsmanship. MarsHydro 2x4 Grow Tent: Excellent construction in terms of durability. Reinforced stitching on the zippers and corners ensures zero tearing. Conveniently placed screen vents and intake/exhaust ports. The ceiling exhaust port only exists on the right side. Perfect for me but not great if you’re running exhaust from the top on the left side (left side wall port makes up for this however). The aluminum frame is rigid enough to support the weight of the lights and accessories. Once you have some weight in the tent, she’s go’n nowhere and you can assemble and break it down in record time if moving or stashing the grow op. Only limiting factors I’ve noticed is that temp. Control will be an issue for a tent. It just doesn’t have the same insulating ability as a wood cabinet or other permanent enclosed space. No worries, this is offset by a small desktop heater and keeps the environment exactly where desired. The other issue was a production problem - the ceiling vent was accidentally stitched into the corner seams on the assembly line. Again, no real issue - just pulled it out with no damage or fraying to the tent or port👍. Closest comparable to it that I’ve seen would be spiderfarmers line of qbs. They feature the same top-o-the-line components and roughly similar spectrums. Where VS takes the advantage is in the convenience of the dimmer nob which is easily accessible and works great at 50% with no strobing👍. The heat sink is also larger which contributes to lower temps. That’s not a good thing in my case but beneficial for most folks. I can already say that this will be a great fixture through all stages of growth. Where I know this light will excel will be in the veg. Stage for sure. Dimming function gives seedlings a much better chance of success with the ability to use lower lighting levels early on and the coverage area on a 240w is great. The average grower will find this panel suitable and fitting to their needs in a 2x4 grow space although I’d suggest 2 units if going any larger than that. The total output in this space equates to about 30w/sq.ft. Which is a decent amount of coverage based on power vs. Growprint. Ideal for veg. Certainly but, in flower - I tend to run closer to 50-60w/sq.ft to achieve higher yields. Again, similar fixtures have performed admirably in the past and while this wouldn’t be considered an “entry-level” fixture, I’d recommend that any grower new to the game not skimp on lighting and start with one of these. The price points are a great value for quality LED tech. These days, so there’s little reason to even consider a lesser fixture👍. I have no detail on limiting factors for this light as yet but have heard that stock branded fixtures don’t necessarily incorporate enough red diodes. I’ve seen no issue myself but confess - I’m no lighting guru. Unfortunately, once again (last grow too) I had some bud rot in the last week before harvest in both plants with the biggest one largely affected. Because of that, I had to remove all infected parts and have an early harvest. I picked out all fucked buds, gave my plants another two days of (finally!) sunshine to dry out the cut-outs I did on the plants. Today I harvested the smaller one and was surprised it actually was quite alright in terms of yield. Tomorrow, I'll cut the big one and I hope there will still be some good bud structures left as this one grew so nice, especially for being a dwarf :-D Will update as soon as I've got more news! UPDATE: I cut the big one as well and am very pleased with the yield I have from this grow. Was not an easy grow since the weather was shit and I've had to throw away some decent buds because of bud rot, but all in all it looks promising :-) DRY WEIGHT: 48g of fresh buds (had to throw away at least what could have been 10-15 grams because of bud rot)

Start of week 4 of flower! Off to a troubling start, as the light switched on over 1 hour ealiere than scheduled. I took a spare timer, and set it up to continue it's 12/12 schedule, but now moved one hour back. I cross my fingers they forgive me for this error.🙏 👽👉31/10 The day after watering and the day my timer messed up my 12/12 schedule. But hope it brings no problems. I defoliated lightly and only removed most under the SCROG line. Even a couple of underdevoloped branches that stretched below SCROG-net got cut. 👽👉 1/11 Been having a battle with humidity after watering, but upped my air circulation to help. 👽👉 2/11 Waterday* Upped my nutes on BioHeaven, BioGrow and BioBloom. 👽👉 3/11 They seem to be responding good to the upped nutrients. 👽👉 4/11 Humidity under control. 👽👉 5/11 The VPD on point, has really speed up the trichome production. 👽👉 6/11 Waterday* Stayed on the same schedule, as last watering. They seem very satisfied and no signs of mistreatment.

JUNE 17: Start of week 2 flowering Not too much stretch but getting bushy

Hi growers! It's been 5 weeks since we entered the flowering stage, and our plants are in full bloom! The branches have become thick, the leaves remain green, and the buds are getting fuller by the day. We continue to feed our plants with Xpert Nutrients flowering fertilizer, and the results are simply amazing! Our girl clearly loves this fertilizer, and we couldn't be happier with its effectiveness. A big thank you to Xpert Nutrients for such an amazing fertilizer! We're continuing our exciting journey and looking forward to new successes and beautiful harvests!

This grape is a big frosty beast. I think she has the potential to put off an easy pound if she bulks up the way I think she will. I spread the plants out a little this week so they get better light and air flow. Other than that I haven't done anything besides keep the reservoir full. Still pumping nutrients 1 minute on 20 minutes off. They are getting .5 tsp maxibloom per gallon. Not going to run any boosters this round. They dont look like they want or need it.

While we're not huge on autoflower plants, this one turned out really nice, not a huge yield, maybe just over an Oz dry but her bag appeal can't be beat.. we may actually grow this strain again but probably outdoors, our autos always seem to preform better in the garden. VEG WEEK 10 My Base Nutrient Inputs: See VEG WEEK 6 for details of stock solutions A & B. My grow weeks run from Monday to Sunday. This week the goal was to let the girls grow, space the tops around the trellis, and attach each stem to the outside of this structure. Tuesday - Watering Day - 1 gallon each as described above. Friday - Watering Day - The pots are very light. Laverne is quite thirsty in pic # 10 - 2 gallons each as described above. Friday - Pruning Day - Pinched out all the new grow at each fan leaf. The goal is a single stalk with no side branching. Also removed some lower Fan leaves and a few select others. Unfortunately, Laverne lost a top. Not sure how, but I snapped it😡, and it dangled by a little of the outer stem tissue. I quickly reached for some tape to administer first-aid, which has worked for me in the past. Sadly, a few days later, it was evident (pic # 16), she wasn't going to make it. Sunday - Training and Trim Day - Laverne is now down to 11 tops and my plants symmetry is shattered. I pushed the broken limb aside, to make room to realign the neighboring branches. I'm leaving this broken branch on the plant for now (pic #17), in an attempt to keep the other branch, on the same main stalk from dominating the plant. The remaining branch (pic #18&19) is already growing much faster and needed some serious twisting to bring it to the level of the rest of the plant. I managed to get Laverne symmetrical again, and leveled out the tops with some wire work. Shirley was also wired down to a symmetrical, level canopy, without any drama. Laverne is now 10 inches tall, and Shirley is 12 inches. It seems I named them backwards, lol. Laverne received a 2 inch booster seat under her pot to bring her canopy level with her buddy. Their canopy tops are 30 inches from the Electric Sky ES 300 V1 light. Shirley has shown herself to be a female (pic #24), while Laverne has not shown sex (no concern, as these seeds I made should be feminized). I see some tip burn, and need to dial back my nutrients a tad. I also am working on eliminating the purple on the top side of the petioles (not too worried about it as the plant is growing and appears healthy otherwise). My base nutrients contain calcium and magnesium, plus I add Cal-Mag +, so not sure why. It is funny that the purple is only on the top side of the petioles, and makes me wonder if this is caused somehow by LED lighting. If anyone knows, please share😀. I plan on another week, maybe two, of vegetative growth. The mother(s), that I made these seeds from only stretched about 12-14 inches. I'll flip to 12/12 light schedule when the stems reach the height of the top of the trellis. With the stems supported, and some luck, these girls, will be set-up for smooth flowering. After 21 days in turbo cloner I transplanted 4 Sweet seeds Green Poison into 1 gallon plastic pots filled with Cana coco. Few days later I transplanted another 4 clones into DWC! Stay tuned! Coco feed at 700ppm Dwc feed at 480ppm

Week 13/4 of Flower and defoliation time yeay ✌️ Day 92/22 watered 2,5l with 2ml grow and 1ml topmax heaven and bloom. looking good. stretching still. supercropping visible yeay. lots of tops. 😍I could not hold myself back and had to defoliate her bushy under growth. So much bottom growth, small popcorn quality, not wanted, bye bye. She is 9 days into proper flower at this point. I didn't think she would stretch too much, no matter the light issue, since she grew rather wide than in height. I'm hopeful all is good. Day 94/24 all good on the top department, but she seems to have successfully used up all the available soil space. ay, so happy there is always something. I should've known and note to myself: DONT VEG TOO LONG WITH TOO SMALL OF A POT. this could/will lead to more waterings more often. poor thing and me. Day 96/26 did I water her in last days? dont know... mmh. shes dry. watering 3l with 1ml grow, 2ml bloom, 1ml topmax, 1ml each activera, algamic and heaven. def. some more. removed bigger leaves. While checking on root growth on both clones, one did not make it, but the other is happy and potted. Took 2 more at defoliation time, this is addicting 😋
