Wife’s favorite color is yellow so she asked me to grow some Yellow Zushi (Zkittlez X Kush Mints). Put em in paper towel on Sunday 2/11/24 and they germinated the next day Monday 2/12/24. Monday night I popped it into soil and again next day Tuesday 2/13/24 greens already broke soil. Fastest germinating seeds with decent tap root I’ve ever had so far! Got brand new equipments in and set up for Veg 18/6! Excited for these new strains.
I’m planning on taking clones and using them for seeds, pollen and breeding. Hope that go well and workouts we will see.
Yellow Zushi is doing well as a seedling and is an exciting strain for me to grow because of the Zkittlez parent, which is parent of Runtz as well. A strain I would like to create. I’m thinking of breeding Jet Fuel Gelato with Yellow Zushi, to get something close to runtz as the genetics of it are there. Some what!!
Yellow Zushi is growing well and fast, will be potting up to her 5 gal airpot soon. Wish I had some Autopots which I might get soon we will see. Will be taking cuttings from this plant and one of those clones will be crossed with Jet Fuel Gelato 😉😜!
Yellow Zushi growing nicely, transplanted on Thursday 2/29/24 into its 5 gallon air pot. Caused some stress and drooping from under watering finding time to transplant, after transplanting and watering it bounced back in two days!
Before transplanting I added Great White Mycorrhiza powder to the 80%soil/20%perlite mix! The Spider Farmer SE5000 is at 40% intensity.
Yellow Zushi is growing very well and uniform, looks like she is training herself to stretch lower branches up. Looking healthy and growing fast. Thinking of topping main branch but not sure yet since I also want to start taking clones soon!
Yellow Zushi doing very well, growing fast and healthy. Took 4 cuttings on Monday 3/11/24 and removed all big fan leaves. Bounced right back happily after that, now I’m thinking of topping before moving to flowering after a week or so!
Yellow Zushi an exciting strain to think of consuming and grow of course. Growing well, fast and healthy. Topped on Sunday 3/17/24 and looking great the next day no hiccup at all. Will heavily defoliate again before moving to flowering tent soon!
Heavily defoliated Yellow Zushi and bounced right back the next day, 5 days later and many leaves grew back. Waiting on the tent to be cleared to move it to flowering. Moved LED up a few inches throughout the week as well.
Moved to flowering on Tuesday 4/2/24 and added a trellis. Yellow Zushi is doing well and stretching after flipping to flowering. She is a bit thirsty every three days so I’m hoping later in flowering she don’t want a watering more often than now! I will start defoliating next week.
HEAVILY defoliated and lollipoped, I wanted to wait a couple more days but 1 she had a lot of foliage. 2 I wanted to clean her up before the 3rd week. And 3 I want to try something new defoliating and lollipop heavily early in flowering to see how they respond and how the bud production goes! Raised the light a few inches higher. Besides that Yellow Zushi is doing very well and looking extremely happy.
Yellow Zushi looks great she is very healthy and happy constantly having her leaves spread out utilizing all the light! Will HEAVILY defoliate in a couple days, soon she will focus on forming buds.
HEAVY defoliation done on Monday 4/22/24. Now she has started focusing on bud production and will continue from now on, which is the most exciting and rewarding stage before harvest!
A lot of frost on Yellow Zushi but buds might end up small and dense which is still fine. Scent is becoming more apparent like fruit with cheesy and earthy, not sure yet exactly tho lol.
Like color leaves could be from lights being a little too intense so I raised the lights height several inches and have seen the plant recover over night.
Yellow Zushi reminds me of Dolato’s structure and frost, with a stankier scent not as sweet and earthy. She is stacking nice dense buds, through out her grow she has kept that yellow chlorosis appearance. Don’t think that has anything to do with the actual name but more with nutrients and light intensity. Either way this lady is doing well.
Yellow Zushi looks great and smells very stank like a slight cheesy and earthy scent I can’t really get what is smells like exactly but it smells very clean. Looks amazing and trichome coverage is looking good too. Will keep an eye on trichomes from now on.
Smell is getting crazy all over the house!
Started flushing with Advanced Nutrients Flawless Finish while she finishes up, trichomes are still pretty much clear so I’m hoping they speed up. She is looking nice and frosty and pistils have almost disappeared into the calyx.
Yellow Zushi grew tall with long branches and nice frost on decent size buds. She smells very strong like pine and pungent sweet and sour herbs lol she smells clean and great overall. When we grow different strains it’s a little difficult to attend to them as they need different environment and feed but we manage to handle as we can.
Could have gotten more time to ripen but sudden limited time didn’t allow it there for I had to harvest. Will update on final result and product once all dried and cured for minimum of two weeks!
