Day 35 Flower Hey Growers. Things are going well here, other than the delicious funk that is emanating from my house. The carbon filter is not able to keep up with these beauties and the FastBuds flowering at the same time. It’s also about 5 years old so…..time for a new one. It also doesn’t help that the 4 ft of snow around the house is melting and I have to have the grow room door open for the sump line, but whatever. These girls are just cruising along. I watered with 950 ppm and 1650 was the runoff. I’m noticing a bit of tip burn but I hear that normalish for full spectrum leds. They make the plants draw extra mag, seems like the Epsom is helping with that. I’m getting to a point where I may need to water twice a day to achieve denser quality buds, the next couple weeks will dictate that. Hand watering hydro is a terrible idea!!!!!!!!!! Too late to turn back. I am running the Vipar Spectra XS2000 at the recommended 16” at 100%. I’m also alternating from the right to left side of the tent each day like a poor man’s light mover. I’m noticing leaf edge curl (tacoing) but it’s nothing major and they pointing upwards. They seem happy. All in all I’m happy with how it’s going, just gonna keep it on cruise control and tuck or remove leaves causing problems. Happy Growing 🌱

These 2 are growing bushy both have the same kinda structure. Everything is healthy as it could be right now. The heater made such a big difference I couldn't be happier with how these are growing at this point hopefully it keeps up. Been removing fan leaves here and there but I'm trying to hold off until day 21 and I might give them all a pretty heavy leaf strip. I read something saying defoliate heavy on day 21 and 42 to increase yields so I might give that a shot. These lights are the real deal I got a meter and even tho I barely know how to read it I'm getting much better canopy penetration and the flexibility of having 4 separate units instead of 2 is going to come in handy. Soon I will put all the shorter plants on one side and tall on the other and adjust the lights accordingly. Week 2: Both plants are currently in a 4-litre pot. The substrate consists of 40 % coconut fibres and 60 % BioBizz All Mix. I have also added 3 g/L Greenhouse BioGrow and 0.5 g/L BioEnhancer to optimise the nutrient supply. Both plants appear vital and healthy overall. However, plant #2 continues to show deformed leaves. I assume that this is due to a genetic defect that unfortunately cannot be corrected. Light Power 40% (76W)

Day 29 - Let's talk about sex! ♀️♂️ So me, myself, and my OCD tendencies have had a busy couple of days obsessively stalking the preflower growth sites of my Blazin' Skywalker babies with a microscope. I have never had to sex plants before, so my natural curiosities took the wheel. I had so much fun being a complete and total dork that I decided to make a video for anyone else who might also be learning how to differentiate male from female plants. As I mention in the video, these are the earliest signs of my preflowers, so they may not be completely formed yet, but you can at the very least appreciate the difference in structure of the male and female parts and maybe some of you more experienced growers can chime in with your 2 cents? Do you think my guesses are correct? I hope so! 😜 Day 30 - Transplanted prospective female #2 into a 3 gallon rain science grow bag. Day 31 - Gave my 2 females a good watering with 6.5 pH water. 💦💦💦 Day 35 - watered the males with 6.5 pH water Gave the females a taste of some Green Buzz products mixed in their water. I took 1 gallon of water and added 4ml of Organic Grow Liquid, 4ml of Humeric Acid Plus and 4ml of More Roots. I then split that between the two plants, plus an additional liter of regular pH water until I had about 10/15% runoff.

So despite many obstacles and hurdles, we are on the last week of flowering hopefully the heat stays down for the next few days, and I can get some color into these nugs the sativa Room may need a few more weeks no big deal. This is typical of sativa leaning strains. this will give me a bit of a stagger in between harvest so I don’t have to do all the work in one day which is a good thing .

The calmag deficiency has improved significantly and the plants are now putting all their energy into the flowers. In the meantime, no new eggs are forming, which makes us very happy :)

Growth seems to have finally stopped, good thing because I'm almost out of space. Lights have been cranked up to max, hopefully the distance is enough. The plants have now really started to drink uk a lot, 0.5l every day. Overall looking very good, no obvious stress signs, no nutrient burn and no visible pest. Been watering occasionally with pH corrected water + CalMag every few days to be on the safe side. No smell whatsoever outside the box and very mild smell inside.

Harvest week for Auto Mintz arrived around week 14-15, with the two plants hitting about 90 cm and sporting sticky buds. The air carried a sharp, minty scent, and the trichomes had turned mostly milky with a few amber flecks – time to cut. Watering stopped a couple of days before, and on harvest day, the buds were trimmed carefully, yielding a modest but satisfying 140 grams dry from both plants. They dried over a week in a dark, ventilated spot at 20-22°C and 45-50% humidity, keeping their fresh aroma. It was a straightforward process with a decent outcome for the effort.
