I think the best way ist to wait for the bugs to arrive, get them at work for minimum 2 says and only at that time, ill switch to 13/11. If everything comes on time, maybe thursday, but friday should be the goal. Ive ordered 100 bugs, needing 5 to 10 at each plant, so it will just fit the needs. When the trips invasion is defeated, the bugs need pollen to survive, so the small flowers in the plantmix is a plus for that. I have been using LST in the form of a fan on medium speed to try and strengthen the main stalk of the plant as well as planter rotation to strengthen the main stalk for tie down LST. So far I've been impressed with the rate of growth and the overall experiment. For what it's worth, the growth wth is very very similar to a hydroponics growth. I'm sure as the experiment continues I'll notice some big differences. It does appear to have either a minor potassium deficiency or a little too much nitrogen. Will monitor and update as needed. The above signs may have been trying to indicate the main stalk was weakening from too much weight from vertical grow rate. This would ultimately lead to a fractured stalk. Is this what happened or is it a fungus or disease problem? Plant C sprouted within 48hrs and will be 6 days behind Plant A. End goal of harvest is still 360g from the two plants combined. Both plants are looking very happy regardless of the toxicity or deficiency. Strong strain nonetheless.

A soil without organic matter will generally have a low Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC). Biochar is often prized for its potential to increase soil cation exchange capacity (CEC), but this effect is highly dependent on the specific properties of the biochar (feedstock and pyrolysis temperature) and the soil type to which it is applied. High-ash biochars, especially those produced at lower temperatures and applied to acidic or sandy soils, can significantly boost CEC by providing abundant binding sites for cations like calcium (Ca²⁺), magnesium (Mg²⁺), and potassium (K⁺). Biochar is more sustainable than typical organic matter for long-term soil improvement primarily due to its high stability and resistance to microbial decomposition, allowing it to persist in the soil for hundreds to thousands of years. This longevity provides a lasting positive effect on soil properties, particularly by increasing the cation exchange capacity (CEC) over time, while regular organic matter breaks down much faster. Biochar generally offers a much higher CEC than coco coir, though specific values vary greatly; while coco coir might sit around 40-60 cmol/kg, biochar can range from tens to over 200 cmol/kg, with sources like Acacia wood biochar or even coconut shell biochar often surpassing coco's capacity due to its porous structure, creating significantly more cation-binding sites for nutrients, making it superior for nutrient retention. Needs to be charged similar to coco but at a much higger rate. But shhhh.. it's a secret. Recommend a balanced ratio of key cations, particularly calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), and potassium (K). A widely accepted general "ideal soil" cation saturation ratio is approximately 65-85% Ca, 6-12% Mg, and 2-5% K. That's roughly what mine gets.

The plants have been flushing for almost a week now. Really starting to change colors. I can't wait to see how much I get from them.

This was a beautiful strain to grow! Easy and very resilient to everything. One of these strains you can plant and walk away and know that it’s doing it’s thing pretty much regardless of it’s environment. I got a very decent yield off of it as well at 5.8oz dried. I grew it along side 3 other Ayahuasca Purple plants in the same tent/reservoir system and the other 3 were a flop compared to this girl. I was starting a new job mid way through flowering so I was away for a week and not blaming anyone else’s mistakes but when I came back my ppm was through the roof @2000+ppm. The Alien Tech didn’t even break stride, not so lucky with the “nutrient sensitive” Ayahuasca Purple though. Lol This was my first time growing from this breeder(Prism Seeds) and I have to say I’m very impressed. This was a freebie seeds and I think I will try them out again for sure. Cheers 💨

Mandarin XL auto is experiencing a solution that is too strong. She has mutated some. I diluted out a gallon of solution and brought the tds down some. Hopefully enough. Finished out the grow with Florakleen and a simple plain water swap in the reservoir yesterday. I prefer to hang with all the fans removed so did that before chop.

The plants doing very well. Since the topping they already filling out all the space again. I will give them around one more week before i send them into flower. I am still surprised that my soil coco wormcasting mix still gives them all they need and that I can’t see any nutrient deficiencies at all. I guess the pot size is the key for it. The clones not having any roots so far but still doing well. In the next upcoming days they will show up. Update: All looks kind of ok but since I water with rainwater the plants look like they missing cal. Mag. …. Coco problem with soft water. The RH is still too high but I think I really need to get a dehumidifier. All the cuttings/clones are alive but still don’t have any roots so put down the ph from 6,4 to 5,6 and I also put some root fertiliser into the tank…

They have took to the flip to 12/12 straight away and have shot up 40cm each pistols are popping out everywhere .
