Start of week 6 of flowering. Plant 2, survived last week's heat stress and seems to be recovering well. With the new exhaust fan - vivosun 4 inch, 195cfm - my temps have not exceeded 35°c at any time I've spot checked. Hopefully no more issues or setbacks for the rest of this grow.

Purtroppo già dalla seconda settimana avevo pensato di rimuoverla per lasciare spazio alle Crystal Candy che erano belle grosse ma alla fine dato il suo odore di formaggio/frutta ho deciso di tenerla. Le Crystal Candy anche loro sono a sola acqua da 10gg e entro 4/5gg verranno tagliate.Loro hanno sempre il solito odore di caramelle fragola/melone. A presto con qualche foto dei fiori 😊👍

Flowering💐💐💐 Getting Fat!!

7/30/23 - Day 48 - OK, so last I posted, I have been waiting to see how tall she grows. She does not seem to be stopping her growth I'm going to try some super cropping. I've never done this before, but it honestly does not seem like a bad thing. Hurt the plant a little, and the response should be more THC. The reason for hurting the plant is so that you can bend the plant as you need it. She's sleeping now, but when she wakes up, ill take a look and possibly start to super crop. Currently, I am working on implementing the auto water feature of the LEAF Grow system, which is quite convenient to set up. All it requires is to hook it up to a standard hose outlet, saving you time and effort. By using Reverse Osmosis (RO) water instead of tap water, I can ensure a controlled and optimal environment for my plants. Tap water contains various additives like copper, zinc, and chlorine, which can't be measured precisely and might affect plant growth. In a successful grow operation, every aspect needs careful control, and water is of utmost importance. RO water, with its near-zero ppm, ensures that there are no unwanted additives, offering the best conditions for plant development. Although RO water is not produced under pressure, I've found a suitable solution to address this concern. To achieve the required pressure for the LEAF unit, which is rated for 30 - 80 PSI, I've researched and discovered that a sump pump would work perfectly in this setup. This pump adds the necessary 30 PSI to the water line as it is drawn from the inlet, eliminating the need to pressurize a bottle or container, thus avoiding potential hazards associated with excessive pressure. I'll be documenting my progress with pictures as I set up this system, and I can't wait to witness the auto water feature in action, saving me from the hassle of manually adding water. Super Crop: I did about half of the plant in a Super Crop today. Meaning I damaged the branches enough to bend them. The plant will work overtime to fix them, but also, the Resin and THC will be surging through the plant in a rush to be more defensive against what it more than likely a predator eating it. I did my best to make the branches pliable. I think I did a good job. I was so scared that I was going to snap them.... and I did; on a couple, they split up the side. So I grabbed my duct tape and added a bandaid. I have been worried sick about how she would handle all the destruction. After about 3 hrs, I saw that all the Super Cropped branches were already reaching back up. This is a great sign that the plant is doing well and that all the branches I was sure were to fall off are thriving. Again I think this box is magic. The topping didn't stunt any growth, trimming a 3-gallon bucket full of leaves 1st week into flower didn't stunt any growth, and Super Cropping 2 weeks into flowering seems to be thriving. I'm going to get to experiment with this LEAF box on all kinds of strains. The possibilities are endless. Just one theory I want to try, Purple. I want to grow a strain known for its purple, and I want to grow it a few times, each time growing it colder and colder to document and show how cold might affect the purple color like we have all read and heard about. These are the kinds of things that I think about and why I choose LEAF. Ill be back to update tomorrow morning. 8/1/23 - Day 50 - I updated some of the pictures. Flowering is going well. Every day the water is less, and the buds are bigger! I scoped out some of the buds already. Now we just wait. i have a water change coming up in a few days. Plant 2 harvested 8.5 weeks from seed to harvest Plant 1 harvested 9 weeks from seed to harvest These ones swelled up and grew at lightning speed compared to the rest... wish that third seed had germinated now ;) I'm putting Ripper Seeds autos up in the top spot for now, 100% - this and Zombie Kush auto grow last year have been huge yields and really fast to grow. They just have these immense top colas (for those who prefer to leave the plant untouched - I don't do anything to my plants, no defoliation, LST, etc. Mostly because I'm really lazy when it comes to these things.

Entrada dia 30 (sin marcación de desarrollo de plántula) : Señores y Señoras, un mes desde el comienzo de vegetativo y creo que cuando miréis el vídeo que he colgado no vais a creerlo, por que yo tampoco me lo creería, ni por un millón de florines filipinos. Os explico, todas las cuentas de crecimiento, nutrición y desarrollo expectables se han ido sencillamente a la basura y os explicó por qué. Primero, estamos en un ritmo que en cerca de seis dias, los cuatro cultivars están tomando la friolera de 24 litros, o sea que estamos con un ritmo de 4 litros de absorción diarios y eso sencillamente y por aritmética nos va con un litro por grow. El calor ha sido impiedoso la pasada semana y incluso ahora que la temperatura ya ha caído en torno a cinco grados (en temperatura máxima), la increíble tasa de absorción de agua se debe ahora esencialmente al increíble tirón que la cepa afgana fast de Sweet Seeds, ha tenido en los últimos días. Hubo cambio en el ciclo lumínico pasando ya a 12/12, y en este limbo entre final de vegetativo y empiezo de floración, en los últimos cinco dias los cultivars han ganado como 25 centímetros en altura y la multiplicación de ramas laterales ha sido exponencial. Sencillamente os invito a que echéis un vistazo a la entrada del pasado viernes y que registréis, la diferencia de crecimiento en tan solo 5/6 días. Con ello, cuestión número 1 : hasta que talla seguirán las chiquillas afganas "tirando"...todo lo que tenía pensado de cultivars sobre los 65/70 centímetros se han ido al garete y tendremos cultivars de talla de metro muy próximamente y con ello un armario abarrotado y sin un palmo más de espacio. Cuestión número 2: que vamos a hacer con el olor de esta cepa?!? En entrada de pré-floración, ese olor dulzón (casi al puro skunk) ya se hace sentir tremendamente en la habitación donde está el kit del armario de grow. Ya he instalado el ventilador de ozono y algo de olor se dispersa pero si la realidad en pré-floración es esta, cuando empezemos a ganar cogollos, hojas de azúcar y tirón de terpenos, no se a lo cierto, lo que será necesario para evitar la dispersión del olor y eso en un apartamento en un condominio, no es algo que pueda ser despreciable y habrá que intentar crear algún cultivo de plantas de compañía en mi terraza de modo a que se pueda ocultar el fuerte aroma que esta cepa tiene. Cuestión número tres - nutrientes necesarios y consumo de solución nutritiva. Como os he dicho, ahí vamos con nuestro Quadgrow, "chupando" por via de los "smart mat" que caben a cada una de las macetas, más de 20 litros en 5 días...empezé la entrada del diario haciendo aritmética simple, o sea que cada uno de los cuatro grows se toma un litro al día. No hay misterios, grows con crecimiento tremendo, sujetos a calor elevadísimo y humedad relativa que en los días más próximos, llegó a los casi 75% (os había dicho en otras entradas que estuvimos con humedad muy baja, sobre 40%, pero en la última semana y con el tiempo de "levante" (vientos de norte de África y con humedad llegada del Mediterráneo) hemos tenido días de casi 80% de humedad. Si en invierno, 80% ya es una humedad respectable y que no puede prolongarse mucho tiempo, por las condiciones de aparecimento de hongos, en verano, si sumamos a temperaturas sobre los 35ºC, humedades a los 80%, tenemos el "cóctel" perfecto para cualquier ser viviente (sea animal, vegetal o de otro reino biológico) tenga necesidad casi permanente de água (el calor y humedad, tienen la función reversa de causar deshidratacion rapidísima y con ello, hay necesidad biológica de reponer el agua perdida. Estos factores son también determinantes para que nuestra hidroponia y su reserva de 25 litros, sea suplida a los grows en cada 6 días, cuando mi idea sería que habría que rectificar solución nutritiva tan solo a cada diez/doce días, pero la verdad es simple y salta a la vista, a menos de cada semana es necesario hacer nueva cuba de solución y dejar que el sistema radicular de los grows se encargue de marcar el ritmo de riego. Como podéis también ver, esta semana ya hemos empezado a aplicarle la "forma" deseable para sacar renta a los grows. Ya ha sido colocado el entranzado SCROG para que podamos direccionar el sentido de crecimiento de las ramas laterales y también ha sido puesto en práctica, una primera defoliación, para limpiar exceso de hojas y sobretodo por la necesidad de la no existencia de áreas de sombra junto al sustrato de coco y evitar que puedan crearse hongos patógenos, pese a que mis grows siempre son "brindados" con micorrizas y trichodermas, justo para evitar cualquier disgusto a causa de un "menos pensado o deseado" Botritys, Fusarium o "amiguete" del estilo. Para final, que Dios Jah siempre nos proteja a todos, en los grows, en los que mal nos desean y a los que nos pueden hacer daño sin que algo tengamos echo para tal. I highly encourage newbies to run with this strain and don’t look back. Super tolerant that produces both yield and quality. Luckily I didn’t run into any deficiencies, disease, or pests. Temps and humidity where on point the entire run. The only neg would be these girls got wayyyy to tall. I had to remove light hangers to gain 5 inches. Even at that I had buds with 5 inches of a 1000w HPS HID. Hood is air cooled so heat wasn’t an issue but one plant def had light stress. Yield and quality is fantastic. I was hoping for a pound for no real reason other than is sounds cool to yield a full 16 ounces. Even more so than yield I was looking for top notch quality and I must say these girls made it. I’m not sure if they reach the 25% THC the strain is known for but either way the can’t be far behind. Smoke tests reveal a smooth smoke with a slight pungent gassy taste. High hit mid way thru lean cone With an energetic yet relaxing high. Lasted over two hours and I’m no light weight. Saved tones of larf nugs, sugar leaves and fans leaves for batches of butter and maybe some hash. Wife wants some fans leaves for a skin lotion. Overall a great run and next run of the 4 best plants is ready to go. Update 5 days after harvest. Buds are starting dry out but still have plenty of moisture. Prob another 5 days till dry. Smell is increasing by the day becoming really pungent. Canna butter came out awesome. Planning on making some bubble hash with sugar leaves and some larf. Update 8 days after harvest. Buds are dry enough for jars. Hanging buds weighed over 13 oz. Still have a bunch drying in racks After jarring for 8 hours, received a pungent odor. I think these girls are gonna stinkkkk. Hoping the taste is there. Potency is 👌. What a great first experience. Happy with this smooth run with no real issues. Can’t be happier with The product at the end. I made some canna butter and tincture. Wife made some skin lotion. I have bubble bags on the way and 2 ounces of leaf matter and an ounce of larf that’ll be going thru a bunch of washes. This growing this is for me. Tons of work and time but in the end it’s worth it.

Week 9 flower : Sunset sherbet : about 8 1/2 weeks I finally harvested, once I actually cut it out the net I realised there was so much yellow unfinished bud as it was way to compact in the tent . So I chopped all the heads off and put it back in the tent gonna leave it a week or 2 more just to see if I can get it to mature a bit . This plant was a clone and from day 1 it was not healthy but was told it was a super strain . I managed to get it growing but was always slow and very thin stalks . But I can tell it’s going to be a special smoke , the buds are rock solid and frosty . I have had to make a little cardboard dry box as the tent is still in use . They will be dried for about a week then put in jars to cure . I will report back with a final weight and smoke . Blue cheese : I have 3 blue cheese plants 2 in 12litre pots and 1 in a 3l pot . There is 2 phenos one is very blue and smelling more blueberry and other 2 more green Cheese looking . The blue pheno was in a 12l pot I took it out the tent and left in dark for 48hrs this was done about 9 weeks of flower . Once I actually took this out the net I couldn’t believe how big the buds were , it smells so nice and buds look very blue and frosty . This will also be hanged in a box and dried for 7-10 days and then cured . Will report back with final weight and smoke report The greener more cheese looking pheno is in a 12l pot is by far the biggest the buds are massive , this is still not ready and looks like it needs another week or 2 . I will keep flushing it till then and do same process as above apart from I will dry this in the tent The smallest plant that’s in a 3l pot is still not ready maybe another 3-7 days but will probably just leave it till the other one above is ready . I shouldn’t have really put this one in the tent I should have left the extra space for the others but still looks nice and some big buds . Overall I am amazed with the mars hydro lights I have 2x 1000ts and they have done better then when I used hps but that was some years ago . No one can tell me mars are not good light , I have literally taken day by day photos and u can see the results .

Stripped and lollipopped most of the plants this week and will finish the rest tomorrow. Ninja Smash and Strawberry Starburst #3 seem to have the biggest caps and may yield the most, but we will see. The Gaia green seems to be working great and I will give them their final top dress on the next watering in a couple days. Lights were turned up to 100% at the begging of this week and readjusted them to 18 inches above the canopy so I don't get any bleaching or burning as they stack and bulk. That's it for now.

Tropicana flowers 🌞☀️🌤️🌦️🌧️ Plant is 15 cm high because of low stress training. The length is 31 cm. Day 36: Sun is shining, 15-23 degrees, high humidity. Tropicana gets two liters of pure rainwater. Spend the day in my veggie garden working. In the evening I brought some 🐞for Tropicana because I spottet a few lice. My mood changes drastically as I find spider mites eggs, first and second stadium. Don‘t overthink that and decide to defoliate the plant immediately. I prepare a tee out of the leaves which brings fast relaxation. My mood is much better now. Day 37 In the morning with better light I find more spider mites and decide to wash the plant with rainwater. Can‘t find after any more of these little killer dwarfs. I decide to bring more beetles and check the leafs more often. Temperature is felling under 20 degrees, it‘s raining and the humidity is 87%. Day 38 In the early morning I couldn‘t find any mites on Tropicana. Got to continue controlling this in the next weeks regular. I‘m sure they are still there somewhere hidden in a dark spot. 🌦️ 13 - 21 degrees and humidity is around 60-70%. Day 39 🌦️🌧️ Very rainy day. Just let Tropicana enjoy life and tie down the top one more time. 🐞 stay since some days. One on every plant. I think the mites are a result of their start inside and no hygiene at all. Have the same with my peppers some years. 14 - 21 degrees, humidity around 84% Day 40 🌧️☁️🌤️☀️15 degrees, humidity 83% We listen to Roots Reggae, Tropicana is happy and quite busy with producing new roots, I guess. Don‘t understand when to stop low stress training. I think it’s enough now. She needs a rest. Day 41 🌧️⛈️🌧️🌧️ 15 - 19 degrees, humidity up to 89% We had rainfall today around 65 liters of water. I collected enough of it for the next weeks. Day 42 ☀️ 6 - 23 degrees. Humidity is falling. Tropicana enjoys the morning sun while she drinks and drinks and drinks…. Coffee. 😅
