Week 27 december - 2 January Happy new year

Hey Guys! Super excited this week! I've really been wanting to try growing outdoors, so I built a cheap hoop house! Got most of this stuff for the frame from Lowes under 300$. All the soil products I got from GrowGreenMI. Some really cool people out there. One thing I'm super worried about is drainage. Right now those holes are about 4 feet deep and they've got about 4 inches of water in them already. What's been cautioned is that, eventually, about 2 months in these plants roots will grow and reach the bottom and cause root rot to form. One of the biggest things I was trying to be wary of was causing root rot. This was also the biggest precautionary measure I took when mixing the soil. Adding the extra perlite, coco, and clay pebbles. Best advice right now is to build the soil up on the holes another 16 to 18 inches and possible stick a PVC pipe down to the lowest drainage point of the hole to allow some of that natural occurring water to evaporate. Any advice anyone has on it is welcomed! Making a compost tea for the soil outdoors, will probably put 2 cups in each RDWC bucket as well and let that do it's magic for a day or so before nutrient change. Raised the bed about 14 inches as well! All the seeds sank! Off to a good start! Lol

Day 71 - Starting week 11 and she’s really starting to fill in quite nicely. Did a little bit more of leaf tucking and will be giving her a feed of nutes in the next day or two. She’s got a really sweet smell to her right now. Day 72 - All looking good and not much new today. I did give her a feeding of nutes today and checked the runoff again and a tiny bit higher than I’d like, sitting at 7.1. Other than that, just removed a few leaves and tucked the rest. Day 73 - Noticed a couple leaves that have a couple “rust” spots on them so gonna try and get that fixed. Other than that she’s progressing nicely and will probably end op giving her some more water in 2 days. Day 74 - Nothing new happening right now. I’m just letting her do her thing and feeding her when she calls for it. I did rearrange her in the tent a little bit but that’s about it for today. Day 75 - The girl is still fattening up nicely but other than that, there’s not much else happening today. She’ll be ready for some water tomorrow. Day 76 - Gave the girl a heavy watering of plain water today and the PPM is at 223 right now so next watering will definitely be a feeding of nutes. She’s has quite some time left before harvest so not wanting to cut the nutrients yet.

After seeing the roots just about fill the totes, I decided to flip to flower. I did some lollipopping towards the end of last week, and removed a lot of larfy little branches. I added some big bud on top of my base nutrients, because Ive had good results with that. Im going to maintain a 10-12" light distance, and increase my light from 80% to 100% power after the stretch is over. You guys, I cant believe how heavily these girls are feeding, ppms were set to 1450ppm last night, 1300 this morning, 950 this afternoon. I added more big bud to up the pk a bit, and get my ppms back where they were. I cant wait for them to really hit stretch, I think theyre going to explode in the next few days!

this strain is amazing!! I loved growing it, despite very slow growth and very small internodal spaces, it is very resistant to stress and topping!! it revealed itself in flowering with pretty compact buds, a smell of bugs (yes, bugs!!), with strong notes of grapefruit, gasoline... no waste in the taste!! I recommend, I will grow it again

1/18 Ah boy. Somethings definitely a little wiggity with her here. The fact that the tent hasn't been above 70 in a long time probably has something to do with it. These LEDs don't seem to produce sufficient heat to keep the tent warm and it has become a catch 22 because I usually dim my lights slightly when I see a plant starting to show distress. This has always been a problem for me in this environment during these months. Some plants just adapt better than others. I might have to keep this thing alive in veg for awhile until it shows signs of improvement because flowering a struggling plant is always a bad idea imo.

Sooo the testers are all looking lovely and healthy sad thing is I cant get them that saturated with nutes but other then that they are doing good. The switch to bloom was easy because of Advanced Bud Blood!

Hello. This is the end of week 10 and the beginning of week 11 of flowering. The first pictures are of the tent opening in the morning. And I put it back each night. That allows me to go into flowering when I want. One more week of veg to go, before I turn it over to flowering. And it will be around August 7th to August 15 when I'll harvest. The plants have filled out their space now. and most are growing over the edges of the table. I plan to get growing tips going up this week. with a big prune/trim about 3 days before I switch. I like to let the plants heal for 3 or 4 days before going into flowering. To get over the shock I caused by trimming them up. Then they can go into flowering easier and turn over faster if they don't have to heal first. The smell when I open the tent is like slightly metallic, a bit sour ish, like some good Afghani hashish smells. Each plant got an extra minute of nutrient solution in the morning this week with no leaking out the bottom this week. And they will get another minute in a couple of weeks. That will make 4 minutes a day of food, and I feel with my fingers, when they feel dry around the edges they get a gallon or 2 of rainwater. They look healthy. No signs of bugs or pest. When I was opening the tent a few days ago I saw a ladybug, just sitting under one of the lights, getting warm 😉 and helping. My friend Jerry, who you've seen in other diaries, gave me lots of bamboo, some 7 feet long, to make a sort of netting to hold up the buds rather than tie them to the tent pole roof. OK. Stuff to do. Day 57- Did a light defoliation. RO water at 66 PPM. Running until more Ambers pop. Day 58- checked trichromes, ambers are showing up in clumps, I’d say about 15-20% amber trichs at the moment. PPM 55. Day 60: 4-5 day flush brings me to harvest. Cut down both plants, light trim of larger fan leaves and placed in tent. I used 2 scrog nets to hang the buds, worked ok, need to make tighter next time... too much droops! So far, First 24 hours of tent at 68 F and 70% humidity. At 48 hours 67F and reduced to 60% humidity At 72 hours 69 F and reduced to 55% humidity, maintaining till dry. Trying to get temps a little lower but no A/C... Trying to stretch drying time close to 14 days. Anything after 7 and I’m happy.

*Will be topping them to find out Sex in straight 12/12 cloner hopefully we get more females than males. * Will update journal later *Ignore everything untill tomorrow *So I cut them and put them straight into 12/12 the clones that is to show me Sex. *You could see the hollow hole in the stem I wonder if that’s gonna cause an issue.

1/28/24 - Day 83 - Here we are on day 83 and the trichomes are looking good. I bet one week, if not two weeks before I start to flush with water. There are some photos of the Trichomes a couple of weeks ago and then again today. 1/31/24 - Day 86 - The buds are starting to get FAT and grow outward. Tons of new buds coming from the buds. Sounds werid but the buds are growing buds now. The smell is out of this planet strong. Im looking forward to the next couple of weeks!

I love this plant. She is so strong and grows with a lot of vigor. I am a little annoyed as I have been quite busy so I have been feeding the room the same mix and I think this one is started to show signs she is pissed off at me . There are the start of nutrient burn on her tips. I do not like this. I do not want this. So I I'll make her a slightly different feed this week and reduce the EC by a bit. Back down to a 1.5-1.6ec . Lights are at 40% drawing 180w. Lovely..😎 Uvb is not on yet as I have been away working and don't want to scare my wife away from the great job she does feeding when I'm away.. so I will deploy it as soon as I'm back and can be around to observe the effect.. it's all new to me so a bit of a lesson to carry forward to future grows... Yesterday I finally managed to flush. I used Advanced Nutrients' Flawless Finish for the first three rinses, then just plain water. I still couldn't get it below 250 ppm. The buds are doing well and are using the last bits of nutrients very well, in my opinion. I plan to continue with it for another week, still using plain water, and then harvest. 🖖 🌴
