The dates of the pics may not correspond with the weeks in the diary. Kids, make sure you keep up to date if you are going to keep a diary online and keep a written one. I definitely learned my lesson. Several weeks of notes on 5 different strains lost. Well enjoy the pics at least.

Aug 30: it’s still hot (too hot at peak for photosynthesis) so lots of water, watering outside of growbag, etc to cool things off a bit. Sep 1: almost ready. Found a dried leaf and a spot of bud rot which was immediately removed. Main tops are almost ready and I’ll start harvesting this one later this week. Sep 2: buds are looking pretty ready (at least the tops) and the pistils changed colour last night. Heatwave is now past and now we’re into a couple days of smoke from fires in the NWT. Sucks, but at least this is the first serious smoke here this year. Sep 4: decided to do a chemical flush this year. Great buds last year but didn’t burn well because of excess P in late flowering. Considered another flush product but looking at the MSDS sheets that stuff had ‘editic acid’ which is an obscure but acceptable name for EDTA. That is a very strong chelating agent which will remove salts effectively but I’d rather avoid it. In contrast, Final Flush from Grotek has potassium sorbate (generally recognized as safe food additive) and good old citric acid which is a chelating agent but not as strong as EDTA. Similar products but citric acid is more gentle and the plant still gets some potassium. Sep 5: don’t take flash pics of photoperiod plants unless you follow up with a far red light.

I can already see the stretch. Vpd is between 0,45 to 0,7 in the night and 1.0 to 1,2 max when the lights are on. Plants drinking as much as they are eating. No Ec building up in my water it as the result.

This girl is by far the healthiest plant I have ever had at this stage. By healthy I mean she is the biggest, the greenest, and has the thinckest stem I have grown yet. Today is day 28 from seed and she is as thick as a marker lol. I grow in small 5 gallon pots. My stem is normally as round as a milk jug cap. I feel like this could do better.

11/11/18 Start of week 3 of flower. The ladies were feed a bloom aerated tea. I only use organic natural ingredients. Nothing out a bottle. Ingredients in ACT Alfalfa Meal, Kelp Meal, Coconut water, Honey, Sillica, Organic Bloom food NPK 3-12-12. After using the Aerated tea I top dressed the plants with the leftofter organic material. 11/12/18 Can't rave enough about BLACK MAGIC potting soil. This grow have been an absolute breeze. No issues whatsoever. Pruned under canopy again today. Plants are beautiful. I HUGGED THEM TODAY!😀 11/13/18 Today when the lights came on I was devastated. One of my rotary fans feel and completely crushed one of my plants. Luckly it was the runt. Its not died but its smashed up pretty bad. I was horrified. Should I pull her? I guess I watch to see if she can recover but the brances are ruined. 11/17/18 The plant that had the fan on it recovered quite nicely and the twisted brances even stood back up. Amazing plant.

It was finally time to harvest her, what good times we had with her. Amazed with how beautiful this plant is, how easy to manage and train and how rewarding Orange Hill Special is. So we said our thanks and goodbye, thanked her for all the joy she gave while growing her. I realize more and more how I love growing them even more than the end-product. It takes my mind of all going on for a while, in my miniature jungle world in the attic. Im sure all of you just sometimes sit there and watch them, in wonder, dreaming away with a good buzz on, watching them wave in the wind of the fans. So with a heavy hart I apologize, play them their last music, sit with them and feel them and smell them, watch the glistening of the cristals. In the end we had 209 gram dried Orange Hill Special, I will know the total of the grow, in a few days, since the final big whopper still has to dry: my XtraKush, be sure to check the harvest of that one *in couple of days) and see a one-dollar seed outperform two 10 dollar seeds. 10 weeks total for the first phenos and a bit more than 11 for the last one! I could have easily gotten double the projected yield on these had I not neglected them but whatever I pulled is rock hard, dusted in sugar and smells absolutely stupendous! You did it again FastBuds!
